A foursome of former NFL players are attempting to qualify

liny — Mon, 25 Nov 2019 03:15:23 +0000

for the U.S. national curling championships as they dream of representing the United States at the 2020 Winter Olympics. The four players – Jared Allen http://www.thevikingslockerroom.com/authentic-nick-easton-jersey , Michael Roos, Marc Bulger and Keith Bulluck – formed a curling team with the name All-Pro Curling Team as three of the four players were All-Pro football players at some point in their NFL careers. Bulger was a two-time Pro Bowl selection as well.According to Jimmy Golen of the , the group is competing this weekend at the USA Men’s Challenge Round in Minnesota with four spots available for the national championships next month.“Every team in the NFL — whether you’re hot garbage or the defending Super Bowl champions — every coach come August says the same thing: ‘We’re trying to win the Super Bowl,’” Allen said. “We come from that mentality, where we set lofty goals.“Our short term goals are continually to get better: Fundamentals, strategy, sweeping. We know if we master these little things, it will take us a long way.”Allen and Bulger combined with a pair of regular curlers last month and played the U.S. gold medal winning team of John Shuster,Tyler George, Matt Hamilton, John Landsteiner. They lost that match 11-3.“Honestly, they were a little better than I had expected,” Hamilton said. “All in all Laquon Treadwell Jersey , Jared was technically pretty sound. But at the end of the day, I’ve seen thousands of curling shots and situations and that is ultimately going to win us more games.”The group is now going at it on their own, losing their first match of the qualifiers 10-1 to a Seattle-based team. Nevertheless, the former NFL stars are committed to getting better and competing in their new sport.“The message is: We want to bring attention to it. We want to have fun with it,” Allen said. “But we’re dead serious about what we’re trying to accomplish.” EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Kirk Cousins was happy with the victory, of course — a road win against a team Minnesota had never beaten away from home. But the star quarterback knows the Vikings‘ offense can be even better.Cousins threw two touchdown passes, Latavius Murray ran for two scores, and the Vikings pulled away in the second half to beat the New York Jets 37-17 on Sunday for their third straight victory.“Any time you score 37 points on the road, you’re doing something right,” Cousins said. “But there are times where it wasn’t good enough. We are so grateful for defense and special teams today because it gave us the opportunity to go out and score points.”The Vikings (4-2-1) intercepted Jets rookie Sam Darnold three times and also recovered a fumbled snap to help lift them to their first road win against the Jets after losing the first five meetings away from home.“We did some good things, but there are a lot of things we can work on,” wide receiver Adam Thielen said. “We were not moving the ball enough and there were a lot of plays I want back Womens Xavier Rhodes Jersey , but it’s always good to get a win.”Minnesota couldn’t get much going consistently on offense, mostly because of going 2 of 15 on third downs. In his first game against the Jets (3-4) since spurning their massive offer in free agency, Cousins was far from spectacular, but made some big plays late. With the game still hanging in the balance and the Vikings facing fourth-and-8 from the 34, Cousins connected with Aldrick Robinson for a TD to seal it.“We had so many opportunities to put that game away earlier in the game, and didn’t do it,” coach Mike Zimmer said. “We have to overcome ourselves on some of those things.”Cousins, 25 of 40 for 241 yards, opted to turn down New York’s three-year, $90 million deal in the offseason and instead chose to go to Minnesota, which signed him to a deal worth $6 million less. After Cousins’ decision, the Jets turned their attention to the draft, where they selected Darnold with the No. 3 overall pick.As expected Ben Gedeon Jersey , Cousins was the target of criticism of Jets fans and New York-area media.“I never read it, so I don’t even have any knowledge to process it or incorporate it into my approach,” Cousins said. “I believe ignorance is bliss and I try to stay as ignorant as possible.”Here are some other things to know about the Vikings’ win over the Jets:SAM STRUGGLESIn their first meeting, Cousins came out on top — while Darnold had arguably his worst game on a cold, windy day .The rookie was 17 of 42 for 206 yards with a TD pass to Chris Herndon and a TD run, but was intercepted three times as New York’s two-game winning streak ended. After going 6 of 9 for 87 yards and a touchdown with a 135.0 quarterback rating in the opening quarter, Darnold finished with the three INTs and a dismal 34.4 rating.“I’ve just got to find completions,” Darnold said. “That’s really it. And, we’ve got to do a better job executing.”THIELEN STILL DEALIN’Thielen became the fifth player in NFL history to get at least 100 yards receiving in seven consecutive games, catching nine passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. He reached the milestone with a 21-yard catch in the fourth quarter. He joined Detroit’s Calvin Johnson (eight, 2012), Denver’s Demaryius Thomas (seven, 2014) http://www.thevikingslockerroom.com/authentic-mackensie-alexander-jersey , Dallas’ Michael Irvin (seven, 1995) and Houston’s Charley Hennigan (seven, 1961) to accomplish the feat.He and Hennigan are the only players to do so in his team’s first seven games to open the season.“Stats don’t necessarily say how good you played,” Thielen said. “I’m looking forward to looking at the film and making sure I continue to get better.”THIRD-DOWN TERRORSBoth the Vikings and Jets will need to improve in third-down situations after this one.Minnesota was 2 of 15, while New York was 2 of 13.The Vikings’ first conversion didn’t come until midway through the third quarter on Thielen’s 13-yard catch after being 0 for 8 up to that point. The Jets’ first conversion came late in the third on Darnold’s 6-yard run on third-and-5.HURTINGJets running back Bilal Powell (neck) and safety Doug Middleton (chest/shoulder) left with injuries and were scheduled to undergo tests.New York could be severely short-handed at safety. Middleton was starting in place of Marcus Maye, who’s sidelined with a broken thumb. That leaves only Jamal Adams and Terrence Brooks as healthy players at the position.Minnesota cornerback Xavier Rhodes left with a sprained ankle, but Zimmer said, “I don’t think it’s a big deal.” Same for linebacker Anthony Barr, who injured a hamstring.WHOOPSJets receiver Robby Anderson apologized for tossing the ball at an official late in the fourth quarter after an incompletion, drawing a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty — and a possible fine from the NFL later in the week.“It was just frustration and wanting to make a play and us losing a pretty tough game,” Anderson said, adding that he didn’t intend to hit the official with the ball. “It wasn’t anything malicious. It was just a reaction.”

Cheap Rashan Gary Jersey

liny — Mon, 25 Nov 2019 02:42:52 +0000

FOXBOROUGH Cheap Rashan Gary Jersey , Mass. (AP) — Green Bay had the ball in field goal range, on the cusp of breaking a fourth-quarter tie, when Patriots lineman Lawrence Guy knocked the ball out of Aaron Jones‘ grasp .Instead of taking their first lead of the game, the Packers watched the Patriots march to back-to-back scores and put away a 31-17 victory on Sunday night.“It was obviously a big play in the game,” Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. “That was a turning point.”One week after fumbling away a late chance to defeat the then-unbeaten Los Angeles Rams, the Packers blew another fourth-quarter opportunity against the defending AFC champions, and Tom Brady — with some passing help from receiver Julian Edelman — led the Patriots to their sixth straight win.“Jonesy’s had a really nice year for us, so that one play obviously doesn’t lose the game,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said. “But it’s plays like that — by all of us, myself included — that have just hindered us from finishing games out.”In just the second matchup ever between Brady, a three-time NFL MVP, and Rodgers, who has won the award twice Rashan Gary Jersey Womens , Green Bay (3-4-1) played the Patriots even for 45 minutes before Jones’ fumble stalled their best chance to take the lead.“It’s happening in the worst times,” said Rodgers, who completed 24 of 43 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns. “When we have to play our best in those crunch times, we haven’t been playing our best.”Brady completed four passes in a row before tossing it back to Edelman, who threw across the field to James White. The Patriots running back scampered for most of the 37 yards to the 2; he ran it in from the 1 for his second score of the game. The Packers failed to get a first down, then Brady hit Josh Gordon inside the 40; he shook off cornerback Tramon Williams before dashing into the end zone.Last week, the Rams kicked a field goal to take a 29-27 lead with 2:05 to play. But Packers kickoff returner Ty Montgomery brought the ball out of the end zone and fumbled, costing Rodgers a chance for a game-winning drive.Against New England, the Packers also settled for a field goal in the first quarter after a delay of game penalty at the 9.“We’re hurting ourselves with negative yardage plays and missed throws and turnovers at the wrong time,” Rodgers said. GREEN BAY, Wis. — Whether it was earlier in his career at New Orleans or the past few seasons in Seattle, two things were common for tight end Jimmy Graham: production and victories. Both are in short supply in his first season with the Green Bay Packers. Graham enters Sunday’s game at Chicago with only two touchdown catches and the Packers with a 5-7-1 record.More Packers coverage from FOX Sports WisconsinBucks’ Wes Matthews loves Wisconsin, is a Vikings fanPreview: Packers look to slow Vikings’ revitalized run gameTop Tweets: Yelich thanks fans for support after season-ending injuryAmos sparks rebuilt Packers defense in debutPackers to be tested again by familiar foe in Zimmer Rashan Gary Green Bay Packers Jersey , Vikings“My numbers suck,” Graham said Friday. “That’s not what it’s about, you know? I just want to win games. If I have one catch for 2 yards and we win, I don’t care. Obviously, it’s not great when you’re not helping us win, and that’s what I see.”Graham, who has played the last two games with a brace to protect a broken thumb, has caught 46 passes for 549 yards. That’s second on the team in receptions, and while the production might wind up being better than it was last season for the Seahawks, when he caught 57 passes for 520 yards, Graham also led all NFL tight ends with 10 touchdowns a year ago. With Seattle in 2016, Graham caught 65 passes for 923 yards. With the Saints from 2011 through 2014, he averaged 89 receptions Rashan Gary Jersey 2019 , 1,099 yards and 11.5 touchdowns. While the Packers probably weren’t expecting the 32-year-old Graham to duplicate that kind of production, they no doubt were expecting more than a couple touchdowns when they signed him to a three-year, $30 million contract in March. For his part, Graham was expecting to join a championship contender. Instead, the Packers fired coach Mike McCarthy after a loss to Arizona on Dec. 2 and could be eliminated from the playoff race on Sunday.“I’ve never lost this much, so it’s obviously not something I’m used to,” Graham said. “I’ll never be OK with losing. I love to win. We’ve got to get back to that. Last week was a great step in the right direction. We’ve just got to do what we can control and try to keep winning.”For the Packers to win back-to-back games for the first time this season, they will have to contain Chicago’s ferocious defense. The Bears enter the game ranked third in points allowed and first in takeaways. Chicago linebacker Khalil Mack has 10 sacks and six forced fumbles. Along with catching the ball, Graham will be part of the plan to keep Mack away from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.12 Gallery:PHOTOS: Packers vs. FalconsJeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports | Jeff Hanisch“In this offseason, the tight end does a lot of stuff,” Graham said. “I’ve got a lot of responsibilities — just not running routes and out here catching the ball like a receiver. That’s just how it is. I’m just trying to do my job and do what I’m told. . Obviously, we’re going to play a great defense that’s got a great rush. I’ll be a part of stopping that rush White Rashan Gary Jersey , and that’s just how it is.”Graham caught only two passes for 8 yards in the season-opening victory over Chicago. He caught eight passes in the loss to the Cardinals but had only two receptions for 13 yards last week against Atlanta. He had a chance for a 57-yard touchdown reception but couldn’t make the play. The brace, he admitted, has been limiting.“You don’t want to shatter your thumb,” Graham said. “That’s not great, but it is what it is.”Notes: RT Bryan Bulaga, who spent most of the first matchup against Chicago blocking Mack, is doubtful with a knee injury. That means Jason Spriggs is in line for his second consecutive start. … CB Bashaud Breeland (groin/personal reasons) and defensive tackle Kenny Clark (elbow) are questionable. Due to the death of a close friend, Breeland was away from the team on Wednesday and Thursday, according to interim coach Joe Philbin.

Although the job is still to be modeled

Megaomgchen — Sat, 23 Nov 2019 03:11:27 +0000

Although the job is still to be modeled, many problems were pointed by the Dofus players. Here is the number one issue that Dofus Kamas echo worries Dofus players. After 15 years to get some it is extremely hard to game servers variant 2. XX. A portage's goal would be to wear Dofus game, with all that it may contain, or the essential, not to remake one. Waven is already obtaining the same objectives as Dofus Unity, therefore prepare a self-competition such as Wakfu was for Dofus?

Tot says that Dofus two will continue to be powered by upgrades, but limited by Flash. But if Dofus 3 is an adaptation / jack of Dofus 2, Dofus two will no more have Dofus players and will depopulate, which does not much in the case where Dofus Unity would be a totally different game. Among the goals of Dofus Unity will be to reconcile everyone, with drop, quests and all that made the achievement of Dofus, now or yesterday. However, some of the aspects come into direct battle and many others are even directly overlooked by the founder of Dofus match in his website (The economy too complex, the difficulty at high-levels). Keeping the best of both versions would not make sense.

Beginning from the premise that Dofus Unity will be an improved and remixed version of Dofus Retro, Tot specifies that the team will resume well-known characteristics of Dofus 2. There appears of originality A problem afterward. Adding the already-seen upgrades on Dofus 2 for years, it is not at all innovate. Additionally, the fake-3D graphics will be people of Waven. We won't innovate either.

In this article, we have mentioned a few times the intentions of Dofus matches"successors of all Dofus". We can feel a certain resemblance between the 3: A very simple game. We won't find the strategic sides of Dofus 2, nor its economy and Buy Dofus Kamas game will be playable on cellular. This"nevertheless" may pose an issue to"market" Dofus 3.0 to Dofus players.

How to Get Skins and Trade in CSGO

igvaultcsgoskins — Sat, 23 Nov 2019 01:51:27 +0000

Inside the Counter Strike: Global Offensive-universe are not only different weapons to play, they can look different aswell. If you wanna get your hands on some CSGO Skins there are different possibilities, we will be talkin about right here.

The Origin of CSGO Skins

On the 26th of April 2013 Valve released the first Operation, Operation Payback. With this operation-update CSGO Skins finally arrived in the game. By playing the operation-missions you could recieve a skin-case, which had to bo opened with a key. That key was only available on the steam market and cost a certain amount of money.

In case you got lucky you would get a rare skin out of the box. That skin could have been sold on the steam community market or be uses inside Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Since then the Skin-system from Valve didn’t change. Every now and then the developers bring some new cases with new skins to the table.

Skin-Trading and Gambling

With the rising popularity of skins websites popped out, that allowed cheaper trading, since Valve is getting a cut every trade. There were also a ton of scammers out there.

Additionally to the skin-trading-websites there were a ton of gambling-sites out there.

Steam, or better said Valve, tried different things to stop the gambling from happening. The latest solution to stop it was the initiation of a 14-day waiting-period after trading an object.

Get CS:GO Skins

To get your hands on some nice Skins you have a bunch of oportunities. The most common is to open cases and hope that you get a valuable CSGO-skin. Since this is basically gambling and you can’t be assured, that you get a valuable skin, this method can cost a fair bit of money.

The best opportunity to get the skin you want is by buying it straight away. In this case you have two different possibilites: Either you buy it directly at the Steam-Community-Market or at a trusted Skin-Trading-Website. There are lots of them online, but we can give you a list of some of them we already used and had good experiences.

CS:GO Skin-Websites

opskins.com

skinbaron.com

dmarket.com

In case you have some skins you wanna upgrade, then you should use CS-Money. The website is trusted by many players and offers a great way to upgrade your skin-inventory.

If you don’t have any skins or don’t wanna use real money to get your hands on some skins, you should try your luck on Sliver. On that website you can bet on different bets and be the lucky winner of some sick skins.

Try CS:GO Skins for free

There was a way to try all the CS:GO Skins for free. But unfortunatly the so called !WS-servers were banned by valve and some of the Steam-accounts, that used these servers were banned aswell.

The only way to get your hands on some CS:GO Skins for free is by asking a good friend of you to borrow that skin for a couple of days. But remember: You can not trade the skin for another 14 days AND when you borrow your skins, ONLY HAND IT OUT TO CLOSE FRIENDS so you don’t get scammed.

Want to see all the nice and shiny skins in action? Go to the safe CS GO Skins for Sale site or Check below link: https://www.igvault.com/CSGO-Items

Blizzard will provide players with new goals and rewards by introducing the superior God N'zoth and its cronies.

One of the most important new features in this update is Assaults. It mainly occurs in two new areas: Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Those who are keen to explore the cosmic background of World of Warcraft must remember that there are still ancient Titan facilities in these two areas, they are the most powerful weapon against N'zoth and its subordinates, so N'zoth keeps sending The army went to these two areas to destroy them. As a defender, you need to work hard to stop the enemy's raid.

This offensive mode is similar to the demon invasion in the Legion's expansion and the faction raids in the Battle of Azeroth. At certain times of the day, N'zoth will send the army of the Black Empire to attack one of the two new areas. During the active time, the area will produce various changes and generate time-limited tasks and dynamic targets, all players need to work hard to complete them to avoid successful invasion. After the raid begins, there will be strong empire lieutenants in the area, defeating the enemy, you can get all kinds of unique rewards, and even discover treasures.

Various weapons in World of Warcraft

Various weapons in World of Warcraft

I have to say that there are quite a lot of weapons in World of Warcraft! Of course, the weapons that can be held by different professions are also different. The warrior is undoubtedly the biggest winner, except that the wand can be used; in contrast, the armor profession can always take fewer weapons. Over the years, the various weapons have also been changing!

Earth Age to WLK version

From the Earth era to the WLK version, players have to go to the trainers of each main city to learn the corresponding weapons. On the other hand, weapon skills need to be practiced slowly, otherwise it will affect your own damage. As mentioned above, many players choose to play the warrior is to value any weapon other than the wand, to know that the amount of early weapons is relatively small. Like a priest can not take a one-handed sword is a big tragedy, at least not with the wind sword.

Presumably, many players will always miss the days when the legal profession continued to lose their wands, and the shamans, druids, and paladins naturally looked awkward because they did not have long-range weapons. It must be said that the early weapon classification design still has a lot of imperfections, such as thieves, soldiers and hunters to grab long-range weapons seems to be a bit unreasonable.

After the CTM version

In the CTM version, Blizzard made a drastic reform, players no longer need to go to the trainer to learn weapons, and the corresponding weapon skills practice was also removed. By the time of the MOP version, Blizzard was further simplified. Fortunately, even the remote weapons were removed. After all, this is a bit too rude. From then on, there is no longer any need to worry that the hunter's weapon will be robbed, and the shaman does not need to acquire those less holy objects and gods.

Not only that, but the variety of weapons dropped in the copy is also increasing. It can be said that everything is simplified, and the design of weapon classification has become more and more marginalized. WOW Classic Power Leveling may help players to counter powerful enemies!

Impact on the player

Like a shaman can not take a one-handed sword, the Paladin can not take a dagger, etc. For many players is still not very happy, many players have already pointed out that fortunately directly cancel this weapon classification. Of course, from the perspective of illusion, different types of weapons still have different visual effects. The 7.0 version also has a new class of weapons due to the addition of the Demon Hunter. Do you know if it will join other major weapons after the Blizzard?

The weapon system is simpler and more convenient for new players, but many old players obviously feel that it is a pleasure to practice slowly. Moreover, in version 7.0, players have to accompany their talented artifacts for a long time, that is to say, the meaning of this weapon classification has become even smaller, and the weapons of many characters can be transformed into each other, then its existence How much is the value of it? https://www.mmowts.com/ The cheap World of Warcraft gold sold now can help players exchange better equipment. When hyping the Pro Day workout of Buffalo quarterback

liny — Fri, 22 Nov 2019 06:40:16 +0000

Tyree Jackson http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/dawson-knox-jersey , ESPN’s Adam Schefter made this bold proclamation: “Many believe he will go higher than expected in draft.”Jackson went lower. Jackson wasn’t drafted. But there’s good news, for Jackson and for Schefter. Jackson will sign with the Bills as a free agent — and the guy who tried to hype Jackson has the scoop. (As one of the resident wiseacres at PFT pointed out in our text chain, Jackson signed “faster than expected.” No, it wasn’t Gantt.)Jackson left Buffalo early, with one year of eligibility remaining. It’s fair to wonder whether if he knew then what he knew now he would have stayed in school for another year.In a more fair football world, he’d be allowed to return to college football for another season. But the warped notion of amateurism prohibits a college player from exploring the possibility of playing in the NFL and then returning to college, even if (like in college) he never actually got paid. A look at which Buffalo Bills have the biggest potential fall leading up to the regular season" OpinionNotesBills training camp 2019Buffalo Bills with the most to lose at training campNew,12commentsA look at which Buffalo Bills have the biggest potential fall leading up to the regular seasonEDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Buffalo Bills with the most to lose at training campTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailWe’re entering the time of year where peak roster competitions are taking shape. From now until the regular season begins, players will seek to demonstrate why their team can’t go on without them. Which Buffalo Bills have the most to lose during this critical time? Here’s a few thoughts on the matter. Don’t be shy about adding your own below.

Shaq LawsonLawson currently sits in an odd limbo. As a result, he’s a player with the most to lose (or gain) during training camp this year. The Bills decided not to pick up Lawson’s fifth-year option Youth John Brown Jerseys , making it look more likely the former first-round pick will hit free agency after the season. Though Lawson and Trent Murphy had an identical number of snaps on defense, the Bills appeared to favor Murphy when he was healthy. Lawson’s 2019 is about playing for his second contract, whether it’s with the Bills or elsewhere. As it stands currently, he’s not in a position of strength for negotiations. A big year is needed to get things headed in Shaq’s favor and that needs to start now by making sure he’s not overshadowed by Murphy. Zay JonesWhile Zay Jones was the number-one receiver for the Bills in almost all measures last year, he shouldn’t feel safe. Despite limited playing time, Robert Foster began to shine brighter than Jones later in the season. The Bills also added many new faces to the group this offseason including Cole Beasley, John Brown, Duke Williams, Cam Phillips, and David Sills V. Making matters worse for Zay John Brown Jerseys Stitched , he’s missed time already. If just a few things go the wrong way for Jones, he could find himself on the outside looking in. Tyree JacksonTypically an undrafted free agent doesn’t have much to lose, but every rule of thumb gets tossed out the window when it comes to quarterbacks. Matt Barkley absolutely can hold down the fort for a few years at the backup quarterback spot. But Tyree Jackson needs to be gunning for that position himself. If Jackson has any hope of making it further in the league than “camp arm for a couple years” he’ll need to push for a roster spot as soon as possible. A strong camp and preseason could lead him there, whether it’s with the Bills or another team. T.J. YeldonYeldon finds himself in a weird spot in Buffalo. On paper, he’s behind a certain Hall of Famer in Frank Gore and a potential Hall of Famer in LeSean McCoy. Both are getting up there in years (for running backs), which could open up opportunities for depth players such as Yeldon. On the other hand, the running back position is considered one of the more easily replaceable ones in the league. If McCoy and/or Gore fall off the map, it might not be Yeldon who gets called up. With rookies often contributing right away, Devin Singletary could get the nod over Yeldon. Camp impressions can go a long way in making that decision when the time comes. Patrick DiMarcoLast year Patrick DiMarco’s role was reduced to about 16% of the offensive snaps. While he was in on over 50% of special teams snaps, it’s fair to wonder if DiMarco really has much of a role on the team at this point. Lee Smith’s return to Buffalo adds a capable blocker Youth Bruce Smith Jerseys , which is the role DiMarco has primarily played under Sean McDermott. With many teams not even bothering to employ a fullback, it’s possible the Bills see more value in keeping another player at a different position, with tight end seemingly the most likely candidate. As a result of the devaluation of the position, DiMarco might find a smaller market for his services than any other position. Per Spotrac, only 18 teams paid for a fullback last year with one team having two players at the position. In contrast, 31 teams had a long snapper, which has a legitimate claim to the title of “Most Specialized Position.”

Let’s offer some thoughts as the preseason rolls on"

New York Giants NewsValentine's ViewsValentine’s Views: There is no quarterback controversy Womens Christopher Slayton Jersey , and other thoughtsNew,205commentsLet’s offer some thoughts as the preseason rolls onEDTWhether it’s a John Mara decision, a Pat Shurmur/Dave Gettleman decision or a combination of all of the above, Eli Manning is going to be the starting quarterback for the New York Giants to begin the 2019 season. He is going to continue to be the starting quarterback until he either proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can no longer play at a capable level, which neither I nor the organization believes is currently the case, or the Giants fall hopelessly out of playoff contention. That’s just how it is. There continue to be media members who, while questioning the Giants’ head coach, try to find backdoor ways to get Shurmur to open the door to a quarterback controversy. There are national media members and talking heads who insist there is a quarterback controversy. There are still incredulous, angry fans upset by the recent spate of losing seasons who can’t understand why Manning wasn’t gone years ago.In the eyes of the Giants’ organization, though, there is no controversy.“Eli is our starting quarterback and will start the season,” Mara said last week.“John owns the team, right? We’re on the same page,” Shurmur said on Friday night, when he was once again asked if Daniel Jones supplant Manning by Week 1. “There is really not much more to say. I think I’ve been saying it all along. I just get a sense once in a while that when I answer those questions nobody believes me. Well you heard it from the owner.”Jones has been impressive in his two preseason outings. There is no denying that. He’s been making Gettleman look good for not risking losing him by taking him No. 6 overall and not waiting and hoping he was still there at 17.“Again, I am going to say this — people outside our building seem surprised, but we’re not. That’s why we picked him,” Shurmur said of Jones’ play thus far. “I think he’s making good progress and as he goes along here, he’s checking off all of the boxes. I think when it’s his time to play, he will be ready.”That time isn’t now. The purpose of playing football games is to try and win them. The Giants continue to believe that as long as they can protect him a 16-year veteran with two Super Bowl MVP trophies gives them a better chance to do that in 2019 than a talented kid who has yet to throw a real NFL pass. Maybe Jones would be a Baker Mayfield-esque exception, but most rookie quarterbacks struggle at the beginning. To me Color Rush Julian Love Jersey , the Giants’ position is not hard to understand. The way Manning has thrown the ball all spring and summer, and what looks like best offensive line the Giants have produced in years, should give optimism for the present. Jones brings optimism for the future. What’s wrong with that? The Bears are onto something I gave Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy a ‘Wet Willie’ for the way he handled Friday’s game against the Giants. Truth is, that was more about Nagy throwing two challenge flags that dragged the game out than it was about him not playing any of his team’s starters.I actually love what the Bears did last week. On Wednesday, the Bears held a 60-play starters vs. starters controlled scrimmage. They set up the situations they wanted to practice and worked their front-line players longer and harder than they would in any preseason game.I love that. I’m also a big fan of teams who are playing each other in preseason games practicing together for a couple of days. It ratchets up the intensity and improves the quality of the work.I am not a big fan of cards practices or first team vs. third team three-quarter speed work where the offense is allowed to catch the ball or the defense is set up to “win.” A cards practice, in case you don’t know, is where players on one side of the ball are shown a card and required to play a defense or run an offensive play that the opponent in the upcoming game is expected to utilize. That may be how regular season practices, which shouldn’t be as physical, are conducted. As we have gotten into preseason games, though, the Giants have conducted a bunch of those types of workouts and I’m just not sure how they help you get ready for the regular season. What the Bears did seems much more productive. It also had the added benefit of giving reserves and guys fighting for roster spots added game snaps.Preseason schedule Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous that three of the four teams the Giants are playing this preseason are also on their regular season schedule? I know the Giants traditionally play the New York Jets and New England Patriots in the preseason. I understand the annual game vs. the Jets. There’s no reason they have to play the Patriots, though. Or the Bears. To me, this is a bad job by the NFL.Preseason is vanilla enough with teams protecting star players and not wanting to show too much of their offensive and defensive schemes. Why show a team you are actually going to play in the regular season anything at all if you can help it.On the interception thrown Friday by Alex Tanney, with the Giants at Chicago’s 1-yard line, Giants coach Pat Shurmur said “I drew that one in the dirt. It was late in the game when I didn’t want to waste some of our red zone plays down there, so I just drew up a naked.”I don’t blame Shurmur at all. The scheduling is really unfortunate. It takes a villageI wrote last week about the Giants’ wide receiving corps and how veterans in the group aren’t worried about the narrative that without Odell Beckham Jr., and now with Golden Tate suspended, the Giants don’t have enough guys to throw to.Then, the Giants went out and completed passes to 14 different players on Friday night.“I have said it all along that it’s going to take a village. To their credit, the veterans may win the day here, these guys who know how to play. They know how to practice Youth Julian Love Jersey , and they know how to play,” Shurmur said. “They are smart. I am fine with drawing them up in the dirt when we see something, and they are smart enough where they can adjust, and some of those things are adjustments. That crew of receivers are all very smart, they are very veteran in a lot of ways and I like them and trust them. “Really, the crux of it all, I think they are a bunch of tough guys. They play a fancy position, but I think they are a bunch of tough guys. I think that wins the day, too.”This is what the Giants are going to do. Spread the ball around, rely on veteran wide receivers who know what they are doing to do their jobs capably. Hope that young speedster Darius Slayton gets healthy and helps stretch the field. FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Ezekiel Elliott insists he’s playing and has no hesitation saying the NFL rushing title is on his mind with the Dallas Cowboys locked into the fourth playoff seed as NFC East champions going into their regular-season finale at the New York Giants. If the league rushing leader does play, it won’t be because coach Jason Garrett wants him to hold off Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams and rookie Saquon Barkley, who will be on the opposing sideline with the Giants (5-10) on Sunday.“We don’t talk very much about individual statistics for any of our players,” Garrett said. “What we’re trying to do is prepare the right way and play the right way each week to make our team the best it could be. And that’s really where our sole focus is.”With 1,434 yards rushing, Elliott is 183 ahead of Gurley, who could miss the game against San Francisco with a minor knee injury as the Rams try to secure a first-round bye along with top-seeded New Orleans.Barkley trails by 236 yards, so even if Elliott doesn’t play, it would take a huge game from one of the two behind him to keep the former Ohio State star from winning his second rushing title in three years.Elliott led the NFL as a rookie with 1,631 yards in 2016, and had the highest yards-per-game average last season when he served a six-game suspension for domestic violence allegations. The 2016 All-Pro said it’s easier to consider individual honors with the focus already shifting to the playoffs before a Week 17 game with nothing on the line.He just doesn’t want anyone mistaking that honesty for him being comfortable with the subject matter.“I don’t really like talking about these other little things Womens Julian Love Jersey ,” Elliott said. “I think we all know what the big goal in mind is, and I think that’s what’s most important. I think that’s what should be talked about.”Elliott is on the verge of joining Earl Campbell, Eric Dickerson, Emmitt Smith and Edgerrin James as backs to win at least two rushing titles in their first three seasons since the 1970 merger.Campbell, a Hall of Famer along with Dickerson and NFL career rushing leader and former Dallas star Smith, is the only one in that group to do it all three years.“I think Zeke’s had a great year,” offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said. “He’s earned it. He’s had some games where he’s had to grind out, old school, 100-yard games. It’s not like he had three or four games where he had 200 yards. He’s had consistently around 100 each game.”Elliott wants to play because he believes the Cowboys (9-6) need to maintain the momentum of six wins in seven games, a surge that took them from 3-5 to the division title.Dallas played from ahead after an 11-game winning streak while winning the NFC East two years ago, led by the sensational debuts of Elliott and quarterback Dak Prescott, the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year that season.Prescott missed his backfield mate when the Cowboys lost their first three games without the suspended Elliott last season, a skid that ultimately kept them out of the playoffs even though Dallas wasn’t eliminated until Elliott’s first game back. Now things look a lot like they did two years ago: Dallas headed to the postseason with the NFL’s leading rusher.“He doesn’t really talk about it too much,” Prescott said. “I know he’s not a big stats guy but obviously him being the competitor, I know inside he wants it. I know he really wants it as I want it for him and I’m pretty sure the offensive line and everybody on this team wants it for him.”And Elliott wants to play to get it, not sit and wait for it as he did two years ago in a meaningless regular-season finale against Philadelphia before a playoff bye and divisional loss to Green Bay.“We are built a little bit different,” Elliott said. “We definitely rely more on our intensity and how hard we play and be in a groove. This is the right thing to do.”And by that Elliott means playing the star running back.

There’s a big game with significant implications in the AFC

liny — Fri, 22 Nov 2019 06:05:33 +0000

looming for Sunday night in Foxboro. The head coach of the home team doesn’t see it that way.Four days before a Chiefs-Patriots showdown that may echo into January Stephen Gostkowski Jerseys Stitched , Bill Belichick tried to not get caught up in the hype.“Do you feel like you’re paying for the top seed in the AFC this week?” Belichick was asked by a reporter on Wednesday.“I feel like we’re playing Kansas City,” Belichick said.“Does it seem like the stakes are higher for this game?” he was asked.“It feels like we’re playing Kansas City.”As catch phrases go, it’s not quite to the level of “on to Cincinnati” or “tastes like chicken,” but it’s good enough.Belichick elaborated a bit more when asked to explain the challenge of slowing down Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill.“He can take those slip screens and go 80 yards http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-jeremy-hill-jersey ,” Belichick said. “Yeah, it’s a problem. If you play off him, you give him too much space. Play up on him, he gets behind you. He’s a hard guy to defend. The quarterback can throw it deep. He stretches the whole field. They have a lot of run-pass option plays. If you stop the run Youth Matthew Slater Jerseys , you’re light outside. If you’re heavy outside, you’re light inside. They do a good job. They can move the ball. They score a lot of points, got a lot of explosive players. Hill’s one of them but they’ve got a bunch of them.”Belichick then was asked whether Hill reminds Belichick of Eric Metcalf, who played for Belichick in Cleveland.“No Matthew Slater Jerseys Stitched ,” Belichick said. There’s the Bill we know and love. The rivalry really is back on.With the Patriots dumping quarterback Brian Hoyer and not closing the door on bringing him back, the Colts have pounced.Indianapolis has added Hoyer via a three-year $12 million deal. Per a source with knowledge of the terms, $7 million is fully guaranteed at signing. The other $2 million reflects an injury guarantee in 2020. Hoyer also can earn $1 million in incentives. The Patriots quickly re-acquired Hoyer in 2017, after trading Jimmy Garoppolo to the 49ers. He served as the backup for the balance of that season and all of 2018. And he drew praise for his role in helping prepare the Patriots to face various opponents by his running of the scout team.Hoyer’s knowledge of the Kyle Shanahan offense (which is used by Rams coach Sean McVay) came in handy in Super Bowl LIII Kenny Britt Jersey , which helped the Patriots realize that the Rams “don’t have an answer for all-out pressure.”His experiences and recall will come in handy this season for the Colts, even though the rivalry with the Patriots won’t be renewed until the playoffs, if both teams make it there. Along the way, Hoyer will have a chance to help guide Chad Kelly on the right path when he returns from a two-game suspension. And it’s now clear that Womens Adam Butler Jersey , when Kelly returns, he’ll likely be No. 3 behind Jacoby Brissett and Hoyer.
