It will be fun to go back and look at these picks head to head in a couple of years.Round 1:My pick: Edge, Josh Allen, KentuckyMacc’s pick: IDL, Quinnen Williams, AlabamaChoosing between the best player and the draft and the player I think is best for us was horrible. In the end I sided with the pick that I believe has a better chance of being more productive despite not having the highest floor. That might not make much sense, but hear me out. The edge group has few elites and then gradually descends to the 2nd tier. In 2018, only 11 IDL players had more than 50 pressures. The edge group more than doubled that with 27. Only 6 IDL guys had 10 or more sacks. The Edge group had 21. For the positions they play, if they both do fall into the next tier, Allen is more likely to be productive than Q. A top 15 IDL is more likely to be a 45 pressure, 6 sack guy where a top 15 edge is more likely to be a 60 pressure Youth Wesley Walker Jerseys , 11 sack guy. Round 3:My pick: OT, Yodny Cajuste, West VirginiaMacc’s pick: Edge, Jachai Polite, Florida Cajuste is the kind of nasty tackle that would fit right in on this team of “dogs.” He is no stranger to playing through the whistle. Yodny has great arm length, and uses it well to shepard defenders around the arc. He shows good balance, footwork and strength to also be plus in the run game. He has 1st round talent, but there are rumblings that he is injury prone. His most recent was a torn quad. In the 3rd round, a talent like Cajuste’s is too good to pass up. Polite is one of my favorite edges in the class, but since I took Allen in the 1st, I decided to go with our future biggest need.Round 3:My pick: WR, Hakeem Butler, Iowa StateMacc’s pick: OT Wesley Walker Jerseys Stitched , Chuma Edoga, USCI had a late 2nd round grade on Butler. He is a giant, imposing receiver that uses his size and length to shield off defenders easily. He’s a real bully, and would give Sam an alpha talent to toss it up to when in trouble. Butler does have some questionable hands, but will more often than not come down with the ball in contested situations. I like Edoga as a developmental guy, but with Cajuste in the loop Edoga would have been a little redundant. Round 4:My pick: CB, Mark Fields, ClemsonMacc’s pick: TE, Trevon Wesco, West VirginiaConsidering my 4th round pick didn’t even get drafted, I understand that this looks like a bit of a reach. The thing with Fields is that he has seen so little of the playing field. When he did play though, he was a shutdown corner. I am sure there was some reason Clemson didn’t play him more, but I couldn’t find it. His ability to lock down receivers was impressive Color Rush Blessuan Austin Jersey , and I wasn’t comfortable taking anyone else. Wesco was a fun watch. He is a brute when blocking and is sneaky as a receiver. He finds the soft spots and exploits them. We’ll see how Fields does in KC, but Wesco might get the nod here. We’ll see in a few years.Round 5: My pick: C/G, Lamont Gaillard, GeorgiaMacc’s pick: LB, Blake Cashman, Minnesota This pick was easy to make. We are starved for centers. Harrison is decent depth, and ok in spot starts. Unless he greatly improves under Gase, we need an upgrade. Gaillard might not be a day 1 starter, but he has a lot of upside, and could make an impact sooner rather than later. The difference between 2017/18 Gaillard and 2018/19 Gaillard is night and day. I almost stopped watching him after watching 2017/18. I am glad I didn’t. He was so much improved in almost every aspect. He went from being an off balanced turnstyle against Bama to holing his own against Q. Williams. Right now, we have pretty decent depth at offball LBer, but Cashman still has some high upside.Round 6:My pick: WR, Kelvin Harmon Youth Blessuan Austin Jersey , NC StateMacc’s pick: CB, Blessuan Austin, Rutgers This opportunity was too good to pass up. I had a late 2nd round grade on Harmon. The fact that he was still around here is amazing. I know teams were put off by his 4.60 40, but the guy is still very well rounded. He has the size we covet, and uses it well. His hands a reliable. Even with his size, he is very fluid in his change of direction. He won’t blow anyone away with his quickness, but still manages to get open. Austin has some low risk high reward ability, but I already took that with Mark FIelds. Here’s an overview of how both Macc and I did. I think Macc did a great job with his first two picks, but I think I did a little better in the mid to late round picks. We won’t know for sure for another few years. Let me know what you think. Former Jets wideout and 1976 Olympic gold medalist Johnny “Lam” Jones has died. The reported Jones’ death on Friday. Jones, who was 60, had been battling myeloma cancer for many years.Jones was the No. 2 overall pick of the 1980 draft after a celebrated career as a football player and track star at the University of Texas. He entered the school with a gold medal that he won as a member of the 4X100 meter relay team at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.Jones was the leading receiver for a run-oriented Longhorns offense in each of his final three years at the school and the Jets drafted him after Billy Sims went first overall to the Lions and before Anthony Munoz was selected by the Bengals. His career didn’t pan out as well as Munoz’s as he caught 138 passes for 2,322 yards and 13 touchdowns over five seasons before injuries derailed his career. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

It was great to be a part of that. I don’t really have that much of a baseball background, but the World Series is one of the great sporting events in this country and has great tradition to it, especially with these two franchises. I’m very humbled to have been asked to participate in that. I look forward to watching some of it.”We all do, coach. With that in mind Tom Brady Jerseys Stitched , use this thread to discuss the World Series and: Go Sox! FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — With a few minutes left in the first half, on their fifth attempt to slow down Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the Chargers finally managed a defensive stop.It was only temporary.Desmond King fumbled New England’s first punt of the game, Albert McClellan recovered the ball just inches before it went out of bounds , and the Los Angeles defense was back on duty. The Patriots needed just four more plays to score their fifth touchdown in one of the most dominating starts in NFL postseason history.“We laid an egg today,” Chargers safety Adrian Phillips said after the Patriots scoredfourstraighttouchdowns to blow open the game and went on to win 41-28. “We didn’t show up the way we usually do.”One week after shutting down Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the wild-card round, the Chargers (13-5) fell behind 35-7 in the first half and blew an opportunity to advance to their first AFC championship game since the 2007 season.Instead, the Patriots (12-5) reached the conference title game for the eighth straight time, with a chance to reach the Super Bowl for the third year in a row and the ninth time under Brady and coach Bill Belichick.“They’ve been here before and they showed up today,” Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said. “We dug ourselves in a hole in the first half, but the guys came back out in the second half and competed hard. It was a little too late.”The Patriots are the second team in league history to score a touchdown on each of the first four drives of a playoff game Youth James White Jerseys , joining the 2000 Indianapolis Colts (in a first-round game against Denver).Quarterback Philip Rivers said he was pleased with the way the Chargers offense helped out the defense and came right back to tie it 7-all after New England scored on its opening drive.“All year, we’ve really complemented each other well. And if one side needed picking up a little bit, we’ve done that,” Rivers said.“We did it right away after the first drive,” he said. “They scored again and we didn’t answer, and they scored again and we didn’t answer, and they scored again and we didn’t answer. We needed to and we knew offensively that our defense was going to settle in and they needed us and we didn’t hold up our end.”The only other time the Patriots failed to score in the first half was on their last possession, when they took over with 51 seconds left and moved to the Los Angeles 36. And it was only because Phillip Dorsett was stopped inbounds and the clock ran out that they weren’t able to attempt a field goal.New England’s Ryan Allen did not punt again until there were under 10 minutes left in the game.“We played better on defense in the second half, but it was too late,” safety Derwin James said. “Once Brady has a lead on you like that, it’s tough.”The Chargers lost on the road for just the second time all season, and this one wasn’t even close. Before heading into the locker rooms at the half trailing 35-7 James White Jerseys Stitched , they:—Gave up 347 yards of offense, while gaining just 128.—Had six first downs to 24 for New England.—Allowed the Patriots to convert all five times they were in the red zone and on five of six third downs.“We got our butt’s kicked today,” Lynn said. “It’s not a comfortable moment for us, for sure, but I think in these times we can learn a lot about ourselves.”Rivers completed 25 of 51 passes for 331 yards in the game — much of it after it was out of reach. Tyrell Williams caught five passes for 94 yards, Melvin Gordon had a rushing touchdown and Antonio Gates had a TD reception in what could be the last game of his career.“Pretty cool that if it were to be his last one, that his last catch was a touchdown,” Rivers said. “If it were to be, you’d look back one day and say it ended just how it started there a long time ago.”

(AP) — The New York Giants are letting three-time Pro Bowl safety Landon Collins test the free-agent market without any restrictions. The Giants on Tuesday elected not to put a franchise tag on their leading tackler in each of his four seasons with the team. The NFL announced later in the afternoon six players were designated as non-exclusive franchise players. Collins was not on the list.Teams can begin signing free agents at 4 p.m. EDT on March 13, a week from Wednesday. In a tweet, Collins thanked the organization for four “great years” and said he was looking forward to the next chapter of his football career.Collins’ tweet came less than three hours before the NFL deadline for teams to put a franchise tag on an unrestricted free agent. The tag would have cost the Giants $11.15 million against their 2019 salary cap and general manager Dave Gettleman gave indications at the NFL combine last week that the price was steep.“I want to thank the Giants organization for believing in me and allowing me to have 4 great years in NY,” Collins tweeted. “I can’t express how great it was to play with my teammates and in one of the greatest cities in the world. I will forever cherish my time in the blue and white and the relationships I have built in the building and in my community. Now on to the next chapter….”The remaining Giants safeties are not playmakers like Collins. Veteran Michael Thomas and Sean Chandler are the top guys at the position, so the team may look to sign a free agent or draft a safety. After the opening day of the 2015 draft, the Giants traded up to get Collins with the first pick in the second round. In return, New York gave Tennessee its second round pick (the eighth in the round), along with fourth and seven-round choices. It turned out to be a smart move by then-general manager Jerry Reese, well worth the $6.12 million the team paid him for four seasons.Collins was outstanding in his four seasons, leading the club with 112, 125, 104 and 96 tackles. The lowest number was this past season when the former Alabama star suffered a partially torn labrum against Chicago that required surgery. He to missed the final four games.Collins also had surgery after the 2017 season to repair a broken right forearm sustained in the penultimate game. The 25-year-old Collins started 59 games with the Giants and had 437 tackles, four sacks and eight interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. He was also a leader in the locker room. His best season was 2016 when the Giants went to the playoffs for the only time since winning the Super Bowl after the 2011 season. He returned to his natural strong safety spot after a year as the free safety and had 125 tackles and five interceptions, earning All-Pro honors. How to watch Saints vs. Giants: Game time, TV channels, odds, live stream White Phil McConkey Jerseys , radio, more It’s game day, New York Giants fans!
As the Buffalo Bills prepare to host the New England Patriots

on Monday Night Football http://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-ryan-groy-jersey , Sean McDermott and company need to look for any weaknesses the Patriots might have if they want to pull off the upset. Derek Anderson in particular, will need to do his homework. And why not? Through study, it’s likely he can be taught to find the Achilles heel in the defense. One place opportunity might exist will be match-ups against slot corner Jonathan Jones. Let’s take a peek. Play 1Tyreek Hill does this to a lot of people, so it’s hard to fault Jonathan Jones completely. Jones is toast pretty much from the snap. Shockingly, Jones’s help doesn’t even start to enter the situation until way too late. Jones is a poor match for a speedster and this is one way that the Bills can attack the Patriots’ defense. This wasn’t the only instance where Jones was asked to cover Hill either. The only thing that stopped this from being a touchdown was ball placement. Play 2Sammy Watkins sees Jones and uses another Patriot to make the play for him. Jones isn’t always able to navigate around a busy part of the field and this too can present opportunities for the Bills. If Patrick Mahomes was looking Watkins’ way, this play would be making the rounds on social media. Play 3There’s very little adjustment by the Patriots to Kareem Hunt’s movement in the backfield. The end result is that Jonathan Jones becomes responsible for Hunt. By the time Jones realizes this, there’s no stopping a chunk play. The closing speed is good and the angle adjustment keeps Hunt from a finesse move to blow by Jones. Play 4Zay Jones can make this cut all day and the Bills might be wise to try setting it up. Note that Jonathan Jones doesn’t shy from the late bump. He’s not afraid to play physical football, but this route beats him cleanly. Play 5It’s rare to see Jones in zone looks but here he is in a game against the Houston Texans. He passes his man off cleanly and closes fast when it’s time to rush in. Between the three defenders Eddie Yarbrough Jerseys 2019 , the ball carrier is boxed in well. Play 6This chippy play occurred regularly between Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs. On the play before this one Jones grabbed and instigated— this play was the retaliation. A few times it looked like it would lead to punches. Jones can be a little grabby on routes as well, so look for scrapping and cross your fingers it’s Jones who earns the flags. Play 7Jonathan Jones is at his best when he’s playing more like a safety. With the run in front of him, he displays patience and sets his foot decisively to cut around the lineman and make the tackle. Play 8Here’s a similar play but with a true open-field tackle to make. Mahomes has a couple options to look for with his cut. Jones waits it out and forces Mahomes to commit. Once Mahomes’s decision is made, he’s rewarded with a lowered shoulder from Jones. In ConclusionJonathan Jones could be a player the Bills look to find some opportunities against on Monday night. Without an established burner on the team, it’s unlikely the Bills can replicate what Tyreek Hill did to Jones above. Crossing routes, comebacks, hitches and similar routes are something the Bills do have in Zay Jones. If Derek Anderson can establish some rhythm with the second-year receiver, it could pay off. When the Bills host the Pats on Monday Night Football White Jordan Mills Jerseys , fans might want to keep up with the Joneses. We have one more week to go in the NFL regular season, and the teams in the AFC East are all preparing to take the field for very different reasons. Unfortunately, only the New England Patriots have playoffs on the mind but the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins will also be playing with a chip on their shoulder this week.New England PatriotsThere is still a lot for the Patriots to play for going into their Week 17 match-up against the Jets. If the team wins then they clinch a first round bye in the playoffs. However, with a win and a loss by the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs, the team would clinch the one seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. A loss could mean the Patriots slip down to the three seed with a Houston Texans win. This is also a game to possibly get Brady back on track—something just seems to be off.Buffalo BillsFor the Bills, their game against the Dolphins is all about experience going into next season. They knew this was going to be a rebuilding year so it is another opportunity for Josh Allen to get reps under center and improve on his rookie season. A win would clinch the third spot in the division.New York JetsMuch like the Bills Jordan Mills Jerseys 2019 , this is a game for rookie Sam Darnold to get more practice in against the Patriots. Darnold has looked good lately so another good showing against New England would give him a lot of confidence going into the off-season. This is also a game for Todd Bowles to deliver one last positive note at the end of the season. With all the talk about him being on the hot seat, a win against the Patriots may be able to save his job. The team can also move past the Bills in the division with a win and a Buffalo loss.Miami DolphinsThe Dolphins will be in an interesting position this off season, depending on how the game against the Bills shape out. A win would give them the average 8-8 finish on a season where the playoffs would have been a possibility with a couple more wins. The big storyline to follow after the game will be the rumors about who is staying and going because a couple big names are already being talked about. Both quarterback Ryan Tannehill and head coach Adam Gase have been mentioned about possibly no longer being with the team next season, as is Executive VP of Football Operation Mike Tannenbaum. Miami has already locked itself in as the second-place team in the division, so this game is more about impressing the front office to cement spots for next season.

So, now we go through the exercise of giving out way too early “grades” on players that have never touched an NFL field!CDTShareTweetShareShareChicago Bears: Way too early 2019 NFL Draft gradesReese Strickland-USA TODAY SportsAfter 11 months of grueling preparation for most teams and draft analysts, the three-day event that is the NFL draft has officially come and gone. It was a fast and furious weekend in the football world, even if the Bears didn’t make their first selection until late Friday evening. In the Ryan Pace era, many weren’t used to not seeing the Chicago Bears make a first or second round selection. But because of the pair of trades that gave them Khalil Mack and Anthony Miller, they found themselves playing the waiting game more than most teams.“Grading” this draft for the Bears was a little more difficult than usual. Yes, they only made five picks and none before the middle of the third round, but there are multiple factors to consider here. The trades and production of both Mack and Miller. The quality of players they were still able to find with limited picks.Pace absolutely killed the undrafted free agent portion of this exercise. With this in mind, I’m going to try and fairly evaluate what they did this weekend, without focusing too much on what they did this past season to put themselves in the position they were.(#73) Third Round: RB David Montgomery (Iowa State)Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports*Bears traded #87, #162 and a 2020 fourth rounder to Patriots for #73 and #205After just two running backs going in the first two rounds of the draft, a run started in the third round and it was apparent that Pace felt the need to trade up to land his guy. A few picks before Montgomery, the Rams shocked quite a few people and took Darrell Henderson (Memphis), which left just Montgomery and Damien Harris as the only top-tier running backs left on the board. Now, I’m not a big fan of the value Pace gave up to move 15 picks, but at least he kept both of his second rounders for 2020. As far as Montgomery goes, I had him graded as my fourth running back and most major publications had him graded as a late second or early third round pick. So in terms of the value of the player, it was a good pick. In terms of fit, he’s also a very good pick. Most will focus on straight line speed, but ignore the fact that he’s well-rounded. He can catch, he can run inside or outside zone and is a good pass protector. On top of that, he has some of the deadliest cuts coming out of the draft and led the FBS in broken/missed tackles over the past two years. He was also regarded as one of Iowa State’s top leaders and was called a “culture changer” once head coach Matt Campbell took over the program. He’s exactly the type of pick that Pace loves to make and one that should pay off from Day 1.Montgomery Grade: B+(#126) Fourth Round: WR Riley Ridley (Georgia)John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsStarting off Day 3, it appeared that there would be maximum value at the defensive back position. Yet, as the picks started to fly, that depth started to dissipate and Pace found himself in yet another situation where he took the best player available on his board. That happened to be Ridley, who was projected as a second round pick by most publications.Riley is the brother of Calvin Ridley Stephen Denmark Chicago Bears Jerseys , who was the Atlanta Falcon’s first round pick in 2018. Calvin had a break out year and some believe that Riley possess a similar skill set and ceiling. The biggest difference between the two? Riley’s production was not nearly as prolific at Georgia as his older brother’s was at Alabama. The 21-year-old fits the profile of a player with all the tools to be successful at the NFL level, yet has not come close to reaching his full potential. That can be viewed as a good or bad thing, but in the case of the Bears, they saw opportunity. The main reason to be optimistic? Ridley’s route running is something that will help him transition much easier. With any mid-round pick, there’s always going to be a sense of risk, but the fact that Pace was able to land Ridley at this point in the draft should only mean good things for the Bears down the road.Ridley Grade: A(#205) Sixth Round: CB Duke Shelley (Kansas State)Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY SportsAdmittedly so, this was the first pick that I caught myself asking “Who?”. This is coming from an Oklahoma Sooners fan, who watches the Big 12 every weekend. Then I remembered that I rarely focus on defense because it is indeed the Big 12.So I had to turn back to the tape to get a better idea of exactly who the Bears got and I have to say, I’m impressed. Shelley is smaller (5’9, 181 pounds) and as Pace confirmed in their concluding presser, he will play in the slot as a nickel back. He’s an aggressive player that isn’t afraid to press off the line of scrimmage and most importantly, he’s a hard hitter. He may take some time to develop, but it seems as if defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano has a “type” at defensive back and that’s feistiness. Expect Shelley to develop into a bigger role as time goes on.Shelly Grade: B-(#222) Seventh Round: Kerrith Whyte (Florida Atlantic)Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY SportsHeading into Day 3, I thought running back was either a position they’d address again in the late rounds or use some of their resources to pull in a top priority undrafted free agent. Turns out, the Bears were thinking along the same lines and decided to target another speedster with big play ability in Whyte. Most people are probably aware of Devin Singletary, who was the FAU’s leading rushing and primary back. But Whyte was the guy that made a lot happen in a lesser capacity due to his speed. He ran a sub 4.4 time at his Pro Day after being snubbed for the combine and has big time ability as both a part-time runner and pass catcher. The team already has Tarik Cohen as a play maker and Cordarrelle Patterson is another guy that fits in that role as well. Even so, Whyte could prove to be a valuable pickup and is also an excellent special teamer that can return both kicks and punts. This is one of the more underrate selections in the final few rounds of the draft.Whyte Grade: A(#238) Seventh Round: Stephen Denmark (Valdosta State)It wouldn’t be a Bears draft without Pace going with at least one small school player. This year, it’s a physical freak in Denmark. Honestly, I still have zero clue as to where Valdosta State is, but I do know it’s a Division Two school and one that I wasn’t aware of until earlier today. Even so, Denmark’s testing numbers were off the charts. He’s a converted receiver and just transitioned to cornerback within the past year. He’s a raw player with a lot of physical ability. His height and overall length made him attractive, but he’s going to be a project and one that the Bears will have to be careful protecting. I don’t see a big role in Year 1, but he’s also someone that may not survive waiver claims on the practice squad. His development over the next few months will be very interesting to monitor.Denmark Grade: B-Priority Undrafted Free AgencyI’m not going to get too heavy into this because there are 31 names that have either been signed or are being brought in on a tryout basis for next weekend’s rookie mini-camp.With that being said, I’d like to highlight a few names as to why I truly believe Pace blew the doors off this portion of the draft process.WR Emanuel Hall (Missouri)TE Dax Raymond (Utah State)OL Alex Bars (Notre Dame)How these three players went undrafted is somewhat baffling to me. Now, obviously we see this happen each year, but especially for a player like Hall, I was shocked when he was still on the board heading into Day 3 Chicago Bears Jerseys Stitched , much less into this portion of the process. Hall had many projections in the third round due to his speed and overall ability. Raymond comes from a smaller school and the production wasn’t overly crazy, but he was still someone that he should have had his name called on Saturday, even if it was later in the day. Bars also fits that mold, but I would imagine that Harry Hiestand had a decent amount of pull in bringing him in. This may some hyperbolic, but I truly believe Bars can be Kyle Long’s replacement in a year or two. Health is the key for him, but if healthy, he’s a third or fourth round interior lineman.UDFA Grade: A+Overall GradeAgain, the Bears found themselves without a pick in the first two rounds and that needs to be taken into account. But even so, it’s hard not to like what Pace was able to do with limited resources. In a lot of ways, he took a few ingredients and turned it into damn-near a full draft worth of acceptable and borderline good talent with the help of his undrafted group.Guys like Montgomery and Ridley are going to contribute on Day 1, while others like Whyte will play roles and that’s completely fine. Pace’s track record speaks for itself, especially in the middle rounds and undrafted portion. All in all, I came away pretty impressed and more than satisfied with what they ended up acquiring and for that, I have to give this a good grade.Overall Grade: B The first high school all-star game to be played outside the United States will take place Dec. 22 in Mexico City, three days after many of the players involved will reveal which colleges they will attend. The Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl Presented by Xenith will be at Azul Stadium, with players chosen by a selection team of scouts, Hall of Famers and former NFL executives. Rod Woodson, the outstanding defensive back and special teams player who entered the Hall of Fame in 2009 will serve as host."The NCAA had the change in rules with the early signing day and we're using that to our benefit," Woodson says. "The players will be on the campus of Azteca TV and they get to walk a red carpet, pick the hat they are going to wear to show what school they're going to. It will be a big deal and definitely worth going to as a player. It will make history and it will be something they will remember forever."More than 30 All-Americans will show their choices, and CBS Sports Network will televise the proceedings.Woodson recalls that when he signed to go to Purdue, only his parents accompanied him in the high school athletic director's office. Maybe one newspaper covered it.Woodson notes that many of the U.S. players have never been out of the country. They will find that American football, while not on the level of soccer south of the border, is plenty popular."In Mexico, they have been playing American football for more than 50 years, which surprised me to know they are doing it for that long," he says. "They have some really good teams and stadiums around Mexico Stephen Denmark Jersey 2019 , and the same thing in Europe."The biggest difference from Mexican players than the players from the U.S., we have more resources and our athletes have year-round training, where in Mexico and Europe they don't."So we have coaching sessions for the coaches to let them understand football even better and they can give some education to the players for a better product on the field."WARNER'S GIFTHall of Famer Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda, through their First Things First Foundation, have given a Christmas surprise to two single mothers and their children in the Phoenix area. With the help of some local businesses, the foundation is furnishing the new homes recently built and purchased by the two families through the foundation's "Homes for the Holidays" program. The families were surprised by the gifts on Thursday, when they thought they were just going through a walk-through of the houses. The homes were built through the First Things First Foundation, the Habitat for Humanity and others to help working single mothers become homeowners. The foundation says 49 such homes have been built through the program since 2002, 23 in the Phoenix area.JERSEY REPORTHow popular is Saquon Barkley? Well, lots of fans want to look like him.Enough so that Barkley tops the DICK'S Sporting Goods Jersey report for sales. Not only is the New York Giants running back's jersey No. 1 among rookies, he's No. 1 overall. And so are the Giants, despite being 5-8 and on the very fringes of playoff contention.Barkley is trailed by Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Browns QB Baker Mayfield, Patriots QB Tom Brady and Bears linebacker Khalil Mack in the overall rankings. Mayfield is the only other rookie in the top 10, while Mack is the only defensive player.Behind Mack on the defensive players' sales list are Denver linebacker Von Miller, Steelers LB T.J. Watt, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Panthers LB Luke Kuechly. Watt's older and more established brother, Houston DE J.J. Watt, a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is sixth.Trailing the Giants in the team rankings are the Steelers, Eagles, Bears and Browns.SUPER BOWL CRUCIAL CATCHIn association with the American Cancer Society and the NFL's Crucial Catch program, one fan and a guest will win tickets to the Super Bowl 鈥?and sit next to an as-yet unnamed celebrity. With a $10 contribution to the society, someone can win two tickets to the game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta; pregame sideline passes; a meet and greet with the halftime show headliner, Maroon 5; two tickets to the NFL Honors award show at which The Associated Press announces its individual award winners; and access to several parties.Plus, round-trip airfare and lodging is included.Fanthropic, a subsidiary of 15 Seconds of Fame (15SOF) Cheap Stephen Denmark Jersey , a social media app that delivers fans videoboard and TV broadcast appearances from live events, is partnering with the ACS and NFL on the project. All proceeds will support the American Cancer Society's Community Health Advocates implementing Nationwide Grants for Empowerment and Equity (CHANGE) program, which promotes health equity and addresses cancer-related disparities. CHANGE grants are funded by the NFL's Crucial Catch partnership with ACS. Funds raised address cancer prevention, early detection, and timely access to follow-up care, helping more people catch cancer early, when it may be easier to treat. These efforts have impacted more than 750,000 people, particularly in high-risk communities."It's such an honor to work with Fanthropic to offer this amazing experience for a fan to attend the Super Bowl, and raise critical funds to help us continue to fight cancer," said Sharon Byers, chief development, marketing and communications officer for the American Cancer Society.Entry forms are available on NFL/CrucialCatch.GRANDMA'S LOVEBrowns guard Joel Bitonio has a campaign manager working on his Pro Bowl election."My grandma really wants me to go," he said. "She thinks I'm a good player and she votes a lot."The fifth-year pro has a good chance of being chosen for his first Pro Bowl. If his grandma, Jan Akin, who lives in Durango, Colorado, and plans to attend the game, has anything to do with it, he's a shoo-in."She votes a lot," said Bitonio. "She hasn't given me an update, but she's retired. She does other things, but she knows how to work the computer and she stuffs the ballot box."AP Pro Football Writers Barry Wilner and Arnie Stapleton, and Sports Writers Bob Baum and Tom Withers contributed.

Ahead of tonight’s divisional match-up Russell Okung Jerseys 2019 , the Chargers have decided to keep Melvin Gordon on the sidelines for another week, according to Omar Ruiz of NFL Network. to a Grade 2 MCL sprain that he sustained in their game against the Arizona Cardinals. In their previous two games, the Chargers rushing attack has taken a major step back in production as they’ve failed to reach the 100-yard rushing mark as team in either contest. In week 13 against the Steelers, Justin Jackson found some room to run as he led the team in rushing with 63 yards and a score on just eight carries. Against the Bengals last week White Virgil Green Jerseys , Ekeler led the way with 66 yards on 15 carries, also finding pay-dirt a single time. With Ekeler out tonight due to concussion symptoms. the backfield will be headed by Jackson and fellow rookie Detrez Newsome, a fellow rookie and undrafted free agent from Western Carolina. Running back Melvin Gordon is heading into the fifth year of his rookie deal with the Chargers, so he won’t be hitting the free agent market this offseason. He will be paying close attention to developments on that front. Gordon has talked about his desire to stay with the Chargers beyond the end of his current contract Virgil Green Jerseys 2019 , but he said on Wednesday that he’s watching to see what kind of deal Le'Veon Bell signs this offseason before moving forward with any deal of his own.“I’m waiting.

Another day Black Brian Dawkins Jerseys , another bit of information from fan-favorite Chris Long about whether or not he plans to retire this offseason or return to the Eagles. He mentioned just days ago that the city and fans were making the decision difficult, and while stressing his motivations were not money related — which, who would have really thought that from a guy who has given up more than a season’s worth of game checks and won Walter Payton Man of the Year — he also made it clear that the biggest factor would be his role within the defense. The Eagles have made quite a few moves so far this offseason, re-signing Brandon Graham, trading Michael Bennett and adding Malik Jackson, bringing back Vinny Curry and most-recently, re-signing Timmy Jernigan to a one-year deal.Long joined Jeff McLane and Zach Berman on the Birds Eye View podcast to go into a little more detail about his decision and his love for the city of Philadelphia. They dove right into the main interest for fans, and he said that he’s really tried to stay away from the topic as much as possible this offseason because it’s a really tough decision. He went on to say that, of course Youth Haloti Ngata Jerseys , he thinks he could go somewhere and be a starter, but the third-down action is a big part of the defense and he was still able to contribute.Long continued and noted that one of his big concerns was the perception that he’s keeping the team hostage while he makes his decision. Having someone say that the Eagles could have gotten Frank Clark if it weren’t for Long was the reason he decided to speak out about the matter. He said that he’s wishing the team a lot of luck in the NFL Draft this weekend, and ultimately really appreciates Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson and the team being upfront and honest about the whole situation.Long was then asked what role would it take for him to come back — and whether it was that third-down role he had the past two seasons — and the DE was honest and said, “It really ain’t happening”. He also said that stranger things have happened, but he doesn’t wish for things to change, because for things to change that means someone would need to get hurt.Long emphasized he’s just too old to be in a situation that isn’t perfect for both sides, and he holds no ill will and certainly isn’t holding the organization hostage. He said he still wants to play, but he wants a lot of things Haloti Ngata Jerseys Stitched , and that doesn’t mean they’re all going to happen.Long did leave the door open a little bit, saying that he’d never experienced a loss quite as bitter as in the playoffs last year. He knows this is an Eagles team that will be in the hunt for the next couple of years, and after the Saints loss, he was watching the Super Bowl wishing he was playing in that game.Falcons writer gives three reasons why the Eagles will win on Thursday night The Eagles opened their Week 1 game against the Falcons as heavy favorites but the line has been moving in Atlanta’s favor ever since Nick Foles was confirmed as Philadelphia’s starting quarterback. If you’re among those who might not be feeling super confident in the Eagles for some reason, today’s post might have you feeling a little better about the reigning Super Bowl champs.Bleeding Green Nation already took some time to chat with The Falcoholic in order to preview this week’s matchup. (You can read that here.) Today, we’re back with three reasons why each team might lose. This format forces us to consider each team’s weaknesses, rather than just being homers. So, below are three reasons why the Falcons could lose, as written by The Falcoholic’s Dave Choate. Stay tuned to The Falcoholic to see why I think the Eagles could lose.I certainly hope the Falcons won’t lose Youth Nigel Bradham Jerseys , but there’s a reason the Eagles are pretty widely favored in this game. Playing at time and with plenty of talent, they can take this one even if they’re not totally healthy, especially if the Falcons don’t play the caliber of football they’re capable of. Here are three reasons why the Falcons will lose this game, though I hope none of them come to pass. 1) The pass rush doesn’t show up. This is one of my nagging concerns left after the offseason, as the team almost certainly downgraded from Dontari Poe along the defensive front and added no high-end talent up front whatsoever, no matter how promising rookie defensive tackle Deadrin Senat is.The Falcons have a pair of potentially elite pass rushers in Vic Beasley and Takkarist McKinley, but this is just Takk’s second season in the NFL, and Beasley has mixed one utterly brilliant season with two good ones where the production was a bit of a question mark. Grady Jarrett isn’t quite Aaron Donald, though he’s quite good Nigel Bradham Jerseys Stitched , and the rest of the defense has a ton of talent but a fairly mixed track record when chasing down quarterbacks. Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell has some upside and may line up closer to the line of scrimmage some this year, and cornerback Brian Poole is one of the league’s best blitzers at the position. That’s still about it.What I’m trying to say, in a roundabout way, is that this may be merely a good pass rush and not a great one. Philadelphia’s good enough to stymie Atlanta in that regard, and if they do, I can’t say I’m hugely confident the Falcons will win.2) Steve Sarkisian still isn’t ready. We’re hearing now that [new Falcons quarterbacks coach] Greg Knapp is going to have a much more active role in the offense than anticipated, but for someone who remembers the Michael Vick offenses under Knapp, that’s not necessarily a thrilling prospect. If the offensive play calling isn’t up to snuff, the Falcons may scuffle to be the elite offense they should be Tommy McDonald Jerseys Stitched , especially against quality defenses. You saw firsthand in the Divisional Round back in January that for all its weapons, Atlanta can still fall flat without inspired and smart scheming.3) The offensive line can’t hold up. We know that the Eagles can attack the Falcons ferociously up front, and the line has all the pieces it needs to in order to survive that assault. The question, again, is whether they will.A year ago we saw left tackle Jake Matthews struggle with speed and power off the edge at times. We didn’t see Andy Levitre, who is hopefully healthy after suffering a triceps injury that kept him out against Philadelphia a year ago. And we have no real idea of what to expect from Brandon Fusco, the new starting guard and a rock solid run blocker who may or may not be a major upgrade in pass protection. I worry plenty about who is going to be stuck covering Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, but the possibility that Matt Ryan could be under fire often in this one worries me more.

Taven Bryan stunk out loud learning a new position and D.J. Chark wasn’t very productive in the worst passing offense in the NFL. (Shocker!)Ronnie Harrison showed signs of being a stud of a third round pick and if Will Richardson can compete for a starting position and become depth at worse Youth Keelan Cole Jerseys , that’s not a bad fourth round pick either. Logan Cooke in the seventh was a needed pick and Leon Jacobs showed flashes, which is more than expected out of the 230th overall pick. What do you think? Should Kiper have given the Jaguars a higher grade or is a C about right? Let us know in the comments below! What makes Blake Bortles so good in the red zone? The Jacksonville Jaguars were good in the red zone last year. As in, better than almost every other team in the league type of good — and no one contributed to that than quarterback Blake Bortles, who is an extremely volatile player. That is Keelan Cole Jerseys Stitched , he can go stretches where he would be considered one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the league and then make a decision that is so mind-numbingly frustrating that all you can do is scratch your head and wonder if you’re even watching the same player. For 80 yards on the field, Bortles goes back and forth between great and awful, but in the red zone — those final 20 yards before the goal line — Bortles seems to flip a switch and I’ve always wondered how that can be.This week, we’re taking a look at several aspects of this year’s Jaguars team with the help of Football Outsider’s Andrew Potter who was kind enough to try and explain what makes Bortles so much more effective and productive in the red zone. What do you think? Will Bortles’ effectiveness in the red zone continue into 2018 Black Niles Paul Jerseys , or will teams finally figure out how to shut down the most redeeming part of Bortles’ play?

Breaux joins his former team, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Justin Dunk CFL writer reports. The Toronto Argonauts were also another team in the mix for Breaux. He spent two seasons with the Tiger-Cats, one in which he had an all-star year leading him to sign with the New Orleans Saints in 2015. His 2015 season with the Saints surprised the league, being one of the best man coverage corners in the whole league coming away with three interceptions and 19 passes defended Marcus Williams Jersey 2019 , appearing in all 16 games. In 2016, Breaux only appeared in 6 games with one pass breakup and 21 tackles. The Saints training staff misdiagnosed him with a leg contusion during training camp last season, which was discovered later that Breaux actually had a stress fracture on his fibula. The Saints fired the two medical staff personnel who made the diagnosis, but both remained on the medical staff for the New Orleans Pelicans. This offseason, the Saints did not tender the restricted free agent Delvin Breaux, causing him to be a unrestricted free agent. He visited with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos Womens Michael Hoomanawanui 2019 Jersey , but didn’t get any offers. Given his age and medical history, teams were weary of signing him. His spine injury he suffered in high school still concerned many NFL teams, ashe had trouble getting his spine medically cleared by other NFL teams according to New Orleans Saints beat writer Nick Underhill. Breaux will bring his elite man coverage abilities back to the Tiger-Cats this CFL season, if he can remain healthy.

Dallas Cowboys Trysten Hill Jersey

When you look at this playoff victory for the Dallas Cowboys over the Seahawks Chuck Howley Jersey 2019 , you’ll notice the big plays made by Michael Gallup,Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and Dak Prescott. You’ll also notice who was involved in every single memorable moment for all the wrong reasons, poor Shaquill Griffin. There is no more “boom” in Seattle’s Legion but they sure were dealt a dose of their own medicine from the other side. Shaquill Griffin was the common target of many of the biggest plays of the game and it just kept coming. It felt like watching Jeff Heath’s rookie season in Dallas where he was often matched up with some of the league's best and it never ended well. Calvin “Megatron” Johnson torched the young Saginaw Valley defensive back. Adrian “All-Day” Peterson carried Heath with him into the end zone. Thankfully Dallas Cowboys Leighton Vander Esch Jersey , Jeff Heath has rebounded and has been on the winning side of a lot of big plays but that rookie year was rough.Shaquill Griffin is fine young player who has a great career ahead of him in just his second season. However, the winners get to gloat and we’re going to relive the abuse that these Cowboys put on that poor man. But first, here is what Pro Football Focus had to say.Let’s look at some of specific plays. The Setup: At the Seahawks 11-yard line, down 6-3 to Seattle, Dak Prescott fails on first down to hit Michael Gallup for the touchdown with :33 seconds before halftime. The Play: On 2nd and 10 Womens Leighton Vander Esch 2019 Jersey , same play, different result. Michael Gallup hauls in the score through tons of contact by Griffin. Gallup would not be denied a second time as the Cowboys take a 10-6 lead into the half. That was grown-man football right there by the rookie receiver who has elevated his play over the past several weeks. Let’s turn focus to the alpha receiver for the Cowboys and that’s Mr. Amari “Season-Saving” Cooper. The Cowboys were going to need big plays that they didn’t get in the first meeting in week three prior to Cooper’s arrival. The Setup: Note to Seattle - If you’re plan is to play zone coverage against a route-savvy receiver like Cooper, make sure guys: A.) Pay attention and B.) Can tackleThe Play:On 2nd and 8 at the 50, Dak Prescott finds Cooper sitting in zone between Griffin and safety Tedric Thompson, they tackled him Cheap Leighton Vander Esch Youth Jersey , eventually, at their own 16-yard line. A few plays later, with every Seahawk crashing down (including Griffin), Zeke eats for six. Too easy. The last and final crime came at the “arm” of Ezekiel Elliott and you could argue Elliott should have been flagged for targeting for this dismantling of Griffin’s soul. The Setup: On 1st and 10 at the Seattle 30, Zeke bounces outside and punishes the Seahawks for letting him get the edge. Who was supposed to stop him? Well Dallas Cowboys Trysten Hill Jersey , it was Mr. Shaquill Griffin. The Play: This is properly referred to as a “stiff arm” in gridiron jargon but take a closer look and it looks closer to a baptism. Zeke scampers for 17-yards and stays in bounds keeping the clock rolling. But wait, there’s more because after Noah Brown gets flagged, the Cowboys are facing 3rd and 14 at the Seattle 17. Dak Prescott converts on the QB draw and Seattle’s #26 wasn’t about to get involved in this one:Another keeper at the goal line puts the Cowboys up two scores and gives Dallas the deciding lead. The Cowboys playmakers took it to this Seattle defense and though they picked on Shaquill Griffin a few times, it’s just football. Sometimes you’re the hero and sometimes you’re the goat, not to be confused with the G.O.A.T which is a title reserved for Jeff Heath as Cowboys’ fans know. The Cowboys were the heroes in this one and the goats were sent home on a flight to the Pacific Northwest. The Cowboys have promoted Kellen Moore to offensive coordinator and hired former Dallas quarterback Jon Kitna to replace Moore as QB coach.Moore is replacing Scott Linehan after one season on the coaching staff Womens Trysten Hill 2019 Jersey , and just one year after retiring as a player. Moore was quarterback Dak Prescott‘s backup in his final season in 2017.The former Boise State standout spent six seasons as a player but started only two games 鈥?both when Tony Romo was injured during the 2015 season in Dallas. That was the only season in which Moore appeared in a game.Moore spent his first three seasons in Detroit, beginning when Linehan was offensive coordinator of the Lions. Moore replaced Wade Wilson as quarterbacks coach of the Cowboys as soon as he retired.Kitna spent the last three of his 15 NFL seasons as Romo’s backup with the Cowboys. He was the head coach at Waxahachie High School in the Dallas area for three years before spending last season at a private school in Phoenix.

This year there is going to be similar growth, development and spectacular play which will lead to potential breakout seasons for up and coming stars. Here are three offensive and three defensive players who could break out in the 2019 season:Breakout Candidates Offense:Jack DoyleKelley L Cox-USA TODAY SportsJack Doyle is a 29 year old 6 year veteran in the NFL and has played very good football for the Colts. He’s been Mr. Reliable for the team, and has done whatever has been asked of him, whether it’s blocking, lining up at full back or tight end. Doyle does it all, and does it well. Doyle was seemingly on track for a great season last year until it was derailed by injury. He produced 26 receptions for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns. If we average that out to a full season Doyle would have managed 69 receptions for 654 yards and 5 touchdowns. This year will be a breakout one for Doyle. Expect him to bounce back from the injury and be a focal point of the offense. Doyle will likely eat into Eric Ebron’s targets as Ebron was the only healthy veteran tight end for most of the year. Doyle will resume his role as the Colts number 1 tight end, continue his jack of all trades playing style Womens Ben Banogu 2019 Jersey , and help the offense take that next step this year. Nyheim HinesJay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY SportsThe somewhat forgotten man on the offense and in the running back room, Nyheim Hines was exactly what was expected from him in his rookie season. Hines was a dynamic, change of pace, Swiss Army knife offensive weapon. Hines was lined up all over the offense and made plays wherever he was. He now has the experience of being in the league a year, and will be able to take his game to the next level. His "do it all" ability will prove valuable, and he'll likely be lining up at running back, in the slot or even outside, causing mismatches all over the field. Hines has said his target is 1,000 all purpose yards this year, and it would not surprise me if he got that and then some. Big year ahead for Hines. Braden SmithThomas J. Russo-USA TODAY SportsWhen the offensive line finally came together last season and proved itself to be a top 5 unit, many lauded the addition of Quenton Nelson and play of Glowinski, Castonzo and Kelly. But many neglected to mention a rookie college guard playing right tackle. Braden Smith was able to switch positions as a rookie and hold down the position for the season at a high level of play.In his first NFL game in 83 snaps, he allowed one pressure. This continued throughout the season Indianapolis Colts Ben Banogu Jersey , and, in his 520 snaps, he allowed just 28 pressures, according to PFF. This year, Smith will fully breakout and help the offensive line continue its upward trend. Smith will provide consistent right tackle play, which he managed in his rookie year. If he continues his high level of play (which I fully expect him to do), and get better, he will break out and could be a top 5 right tackle in the league next year. Breakout Candidates Defense:Quincy Wilson Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsQuincy Wilson is one of the Colts players I’m most looking forward to see in 2019. Wilson finally managed to put it all together towards the second half of last season, after some veteran mentoring from Safety Mike Mitchell. With this new, more mature Quincy Wilson, he was able to finally produce on the practice field and on game day, putting it all together and showing off a maturity that wasn’t shown previously. After a strong finish to the season, Wilson now has a platform to build off of Cheap Ben Banogu Youth Jersey , to turn 2019 into a breakout year for him. Wilson has all the physical tools needed, and now has the mental tools to match. Add in a year of the new scheme and Wilson should be in for a big breakout year and a bigger starting role. Malik Hooker Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsFor Malik Hooker, breakout means something slightly different compared to others on this list, as last year, in my opinion, he broke out in a big way. Coming off an ACL injury and scheme change, he was able to execute exactly what was asked of him, and showed just how good of a safety he is. For Hooker, breakout means taking his game to the next level (pro bowler/all pro), which is well within his means to reach this year. With a year of the new scheme under his belt, and a healthy offseason (which he hasn’t had so far in his NFL career), Hooker will be able to justify his first round selection and showcase his talent, leading to a full breakout season. Kemoko Turay Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports Kemoko Turay started off his rookie year as many expected when he was drafted in the second round Youth Chester Rogers Jersey , managing to have a strong impact. However, his year was slowed down by injuries, and ended up with him only managing 4 sacks. Turay is the speedy, edge bending, pass rushing threat that this team needs and Ballard covets so much. Working this offseason with Robert Mathis on his pass rushing skill set, and finding a go to pass rush move, Turay seems set for a breakout year. Add in a year in the league, year in the defensive scheme and being able to learn under Justin Houston, andTuray seems to be set up well for a breakout.Former Colts cornerback Vontae Davis unexpectedly retires from NFL Vontae Davis is done playing football, and he decided that during halftime of the Buffalo Bills’ matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Bills were losing 28-6 after the first 30 minutes of action. According to multiple reports, the former Colts star cornerback got dressed in his street clothes and left the stadium. “[He] pulled himself out of the game,” coach Sean McDermott said. “He communicated to us that he was done.”Davis’ sudden retirement in the middle of the game was a shocker to the Buffalo coaching staff and players. “I never have seen that,” Alexander said. “Pop Warner J'Marcus Webb Jersey Stitched , high school, pros. Never heard of it. Never seen it. It’s just completely disrespectful to his teammates. ... He didn’t say nothing to nobody. I found out going into the second half of the game. They said he’s not coming out, he retired. That’s it.”Davis released a statement after the Bills’ loss to the Chargers. “It’s more important for me and my family to walk away healthy than to willfully embrace the warrior mentality and limp away too late,” Davis said. “This was an overwhelming decision, but I’m at peace with myself and my family.”Buffalo signed Davis to a one-year deal in February that included a $2.25 million base salary and a $1.5 million signing bonus. $2 million of his contract is fully guaranteed. Before heading to Buffalo in the offseason, Davis played in 76 games for the Colts — which were all starts. In those 76 games, Davis tallied 13 interceptions and 229 tackles. He was cut in November of the 2017 season after being bench in a loss to the Houston Texans.
