Some thought that the Jaguars spent way too much on a player who was a rotational played with the Denver Broncos, but Jackson had an immediate impact with the Jaguars with his highest sack total of his career with 6.5 sacks and then making the Pro Bowl in 2017 after picking up another career high 8 sacks. While Jackson’s play fell off in the 2018 season, he was still a good player on the Jaguars talented defensive line. When will the 11th season of the Rockets League end?

Yucca195 — Wed, 15 May 2019 03:51:12 +0000

Although the Rockets League season 11 has just begun, many people are thinking about the end of the 11th season of the Rockets League. We are here to help. Read on to find out when the Rockets League competition will end in the 11th season. After the acquisition of Epic Games, this is an exciting time for the Rockets League, and the 11th season of competition is just the beginning of all.

As mentioned earlier, the Rockets League competition has just begun in the 11th season. This means you must now re-find your ranking with ten position matches. You should go back to the end of the 10th season because your MMR has not been reset. This also means that you can now earn the 11th season reward while collecting the 10th season reward. At the same time, you should ensure that you have enough Rocket League Items to prepare for the 11th season.

There is a lot of players concerned about the question of when the Rockets will end, we still don't know the exact date, Psyonix has not announced yet. Still, we can make educated guesses to determine when the 11th season will end. However, this guess may not be very accurate, as each competitive season seems to have continued for a different time, which does not provide a reference for our guess.

For example, during the period from February 19, 2019 to May 13, 2019, season 10 lasted only 83 days. At the same time, the third season lasted for nine months, from June 20, 2016 to March 22, 2017. However, in general, you can expect each competitive season of the Rockets to last 3-5 months. During this competition, the interest of players in purchasing Rocket League Keys seems to be rising.

If the 11th season will end in 83 days, it will end on August 3, 2019. As the seasons become more normal, we won't be surprised because Psyonix has postponed until now 83 angels they continue. Based on this, we can see that the earliest Rockets' 11th season end date will be August 3, 2019. But don't be surprised if it lasts longer. However, we suspect that it may not exceed September 2019. The 11th season of the Rockets' competition is expected to end from August 3 to September 30 this year.

With this data point in place Justin McCray Jersey , what will players like Earl Thomas or Landon Collins demand in free agency?"The Green Bay Packers appear to be in the market for help at the safety position. Whether that happens through free agency or the draft, it is a good bet that the depth chart at that spot will look very different than it did to close the 2018 season. However, any efforts to upgrade through free agency in 2019 just got more difficult.Last offseason, the safety market was in disarray. A single safety received the franchise tag, as the Rams elected to pay Lamarcus Joyner like an elite player at just over $11 million. However, only one player who actually reached the open free agent market got a contract worth $7 million per year: Tyrann Mathieu, who was a cap casualty in Arizona and landed on a one-year deal with the Houston Texans for that number. A few other safeties signed contract extensions in the $6 to $6.5 million per year range, but they were all entering the final year of their rookie contracts at the time. In fact, only one other free agent safety — Kurt Coleman — even exceeded $5 million, signing a three-year deal with the Saints worth $16.35 million total. This year, however, the market is set for a massive rebound Womens Josh Jones Jersey , and the first domino fell on Monday afternoon. Eric Reid, who signed a one-year, $1.4 million deal with the Carolina Panthers a few weeks into the 2018 season, has just defined the market in 2019 by signing a new contract extension. Reid’s new contract will run for three years through the 2021 season and will reportedly pay him a bit over $22 million total — just over $7 million per season.Suddenly, we’re looking at a bounce-back of the safety market. Admittedly, the crop of safeties hitting free agency in 2018 was a relatively disappointing one. Mathieu, Coleman, and Morgan Burnett were the highest-paid of the bunch, while many speculated that Reid’s wait to sign and low contract value were connected to his demonstrations against social injustice during the national anthem and his support for former teammate Colin Kaepernick. In 2019, however, the situation is very different. Earl Thomas and Landon Collins, two former first-team All-Pros Josh Jackson Jersey White , are both scheduled to be free agents in March. So too is Joyner, who appears unlikely to receive a franchise tag for a second straight season, and Mathieu, who so far has not re-signed with the Texans. Other notable names like Corey Graham, Tre Boston, Mike Adams, and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix should also be on the market. For the top options like Thomas, Collins, and Joyner, they now have a data point for where to start in their negotiations with NFL teams when the negotiation window begins on March 11th. The agents for all of those players will surely value their clients above the $7.3 million per year mark that Reid’s deal will pay him, and they may all push for something north of $10 million annually. For the Packers, that’s a hefty price to pay. However http://www.packerslockerroom.com/authentic-mason-crosby-jersey , that may just be the price of doing business with one of the top safeties in this year’s free agent class. Packers interim head coach Joe Philbin said that it wasn't easy to let associate head coach Winston Moss go from the coaching staff, but that he came to the decision because he "just didn't feel like the fit right now was where it needs to be."Philbin spoke on Wednesday before his first practice as the interim coach to replace the fired Mike McCarthy . Moss posted a message on Twitter on Tuesday that appeared to question that Packers leadership and quarterback Aaron Rodgers."Find somebody that is going to hold #12 (Rodgers' jersey number) and everybody in this building to a #LombardiStandard," read part of Moss' tweet , citing former Packers coach and Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi. When asked about the tweet, Philbin said the decision didn't have to do with just one factor. He then recounted what he told the team earlier this week."We've got to be professional, accountable, respectful and punctual 鈥?those are the four things that we've got to do the next four weeks," he said. "And if we do all those things we'll be in good shape."Moss joined the Packers' staff in January 2006, a week after McCarthy was hired as head coach. An NFL linebacker for 11 seasons, Moss primarily oversaw the outside linebackers. When longtime defensive coordinator Dom Capers was fired after last season, Mike Pettine was hired as his replacement. The Packers turned to Philbin, the offensive coordinator and former Dolphins head coach JK Scott Jersey White , to take over for McCarthy for the last four games of the season.Moss' limited interactions in recent years with the media were also often either brief or contentious."Yeah I think it's important obviously that everybody's on the same page, that we're all moving forward in the same direction. As you know, Winston's an excellent football coach, I've known him a long time," Philbin said. "Respect him, outstanding family man. So it wasn't an easy decision, but I just didn't feel like the fit right now was where it needs to be."Defensive assistant Scott McCurley, a former assistant linebackers coach, will take over Moss' duties, with Patrick Graham already coaching inside linebackers.

Blake Martinez Jersey

elaine95 — Wed, 15 May 2019 02:54:52 +0000

.The Green Bay Packers hung with the New England Patriots for a little over 45 minutes. However Kentrell Brice Jersey , Aaron Jones’ fumble on a promising drive in a tie game shifted all the momentum to the Patriots, who pounced on both the football and the opportunity that it presented.About eight minutes later, the game was all but over.New England scored two quick touchdowns after the fumble, thanks in part to a trick-play pass from Julian Edelman to James White, giving them their margin of victory in a 31-17 win over Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Rodgers threw a pair of touchdowns in the contest, one each to Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham, but he still looked out of sorts at times, missing some reads and receivers in what seems to becoming the new normal for him this season. He finished the game 24 for 43 for 259 yards, but although he only took one sack all game, he was under pressure consistently throughout. The Packers’ young playmakers on offense kept the team right in the thick of things until the fourth quarter. Marquez Valdes-Scantling set up the Packers’ first touchdown with a 51-yard gain on a deep bomb and had his second 100-yard game as a rookie, while Aaron Jones kept up his sparkling yards-per-carry average with 76 yards on 14 carries. However Geronimo Allison Jersey , that fumble will be the lasting image from the game for the second-year running back.Injuries were another major storyline throughout the middle of the game for the Packers. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga, cornerback Kevin King, safety Kentrell Brice, and inside linebacker Blake Martinez all left the game with various issues, sapping the defense of much of its playmaking ability down the stretch. Combined with a controversial ejection of Jermaine Whitehead, the Packers were essentially down to Antonio Morrison and Oren Burks at linebacker for a stretch in the second half, though Martinez did return to the game late. The Patriots started the game by running their offense at warp speed, covering 59 yards in just three minutes and 20 seconds on the opening drive of the game. James White was uncoverable, catching three passes and carrying the football twice as the Packers were stuck with Oren Burks in coverage on him and unable to substitute due to the Pats’ no-huddle offense. White’s second carry went for an eight-yard touchdown, giving the Patriots an early 7-0 lead. The Packers responded with a score of their own, but they had to settle for a field after reaching the red zone. A healthy dose of Aaron Jones and Jimmy Graham got them there Aaron Jones Jersey , but a delay of game penalty and an inexplicable receiver screen to Randall Cobb on third-and-goal from the 14 signaled that Mike McCarthy gave up on the series to settle for three points.Following a Mike Daniels sack and a Patriots punt, the Packers elected to punt the ball away on fourth-and-six from the Patriots’ 44-yard line. A little trickery got the Pats a seven-point lead back, as a flea-flicker to Julian Edelman set up the Pats in field goal range to take a 10-3 lead.Midway through the second quarter, McCarthy decided to really get Aaron Jones involved in the game plan. Jones and Davante Adams combined for 51 yards on the drive, and a 13-yard run by Jones set up the Packers near the goal line. On third-and-goal, Rodgers scrambled to his left to find an open Adams to tie the game at ten. However, the team lost Bryan Bulaga in the second quarter to a knee injury, and he would not return. The Patriots struck back on the next series. James White left the field after a few plays with an apparent hamstring injury, at which point Cordarrelle Patterson took over in the backfield. Patterson ran the ball on four straight plays, picking up 40 yards and finding the end zone to give New England a 17-10 lead. It was on this series that Whitehead was tossed.Coming out of the half, the Packers got a huge play from Rodgers and rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a third and six deep in their own territory. With good protection Lane Taylor Jersey , Rodgers lofted a deep ball to MVS for 51 yards, setting the Packers up in a great spot near the red zone. A few plays later, Rodgers found Jimmy Graham on a deep cross in the back of the end zone for a touchdown to tie the game at 17.A great goal-line stand for the Packers’ defense culminated in pass breakups by Josh Jackson and Bashaud Breeland, keeping the Patriots from taking a lead. but the offense could not get out of the shadow of their own end zone. Thankfully, a solid punt by JK Scott and a holding penalty on New England pushed them back to their own 36. A punt by the Pats — a relief after Robert Tonyan was flagged earlier on the same drive for a roughing the kicker penalty on fourth-and-21 — set up a great start to the next Packers drive for Valdes-Scantling, who caught back-to-back passes from Rodgers for 50 yards. However, Aaron Jones coughed up the football across the Patriots’ 30 and New England recovered. They immediately took advantage, using a throwback pass from Julian Edelman to James White to jump-start their offense for a 37-yard gain before White plunged into the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown. After a Packers punt, Tom Brady hit Josh Gordon for a 55-yard touchdown up the right sideline that effectively put the game away at 31-17. The Packers made it to midfield on their final drive of the game, but a pressured Rodgers sailed a pass over Valdes-Scantling’s head on fourth-and-four to effectively end any hopes for a comeback. The Green Bay Packers drafted three wide receivers in the 2018 NFL Draft and all three lived up to the expectations of their selection. The good and bad thing is none of them lived up to where they themselves were taken.J’Mon Moore was drafted in the fourth round and barely saw the field. When he did, he couldn’t catch the ball and was largely ineffective.Marquez Valdes-Scantling was selected in the fifth round and showed some promise and chemistry with Aaron Rodgers but still needs some work. Equanimeous St. Brown was picked in the sixth round and might actually be the most well-rounded and ready player among the three rookies. His play improved as the season went on and he too started to develop chemistry with Rodgers. With Randall Cobb’s status unknown Blake Martinez Jersey , these three along with a healthy Geronimo Allison will be competing for targets behind Davante Adams in 2019.The Packers also could go after a receiver in free agency and the draft as well.Regardless all three will be on the roster at the start of camp, but it will likely be Moore on the bubble more than the other two which is ironic given he was drafted higher than both Valdes-Scantling and St. Brown. It just goes to show that after you’re selected and unless you’re a first round pick, where you’re taken really doesn’t mean much in the fall. You can read more on the rookie receivers’ seasons plus why adding a sworn enemy could make sense for Green Bay in today’s cheese curds.Packers receiver J’Mon Moore makes no excuses for his rookie year—Packers.comGive the rookie credit, he knows he has to play better and blames no one but himself. He’ll be fighting for a job in training camp along with learning a new offense so his odds could be long to make the team.Marquez Valdes-Scantling: New offense puts Packers WRs on equal ground—ESPNMeanwhile, Valdes-Scantling is excited to learn new head coach Matt LaFleur’s offense even though he has yet to see a playbook. He does have a point though and it’s that everyone will be learning at the same time regardless of experience.Packers should target Vikings OLB Anthony Barr in free agency—Packers WireStop rolling your eyes. This could work and I think Rodgers would be OK with it. The team needs immediate help in the pass rush and it could satisfy the football gods or something after Barr broke Rodgers’ collarbone.Packers last remaining NFL team not participating in international series—PackersNews.comIt’s known Packers fans travel very well here in the States, and they’d also probably cherish the chance to go overseas. The guess here is it is probably the opponents’ owners who are hesitant to give up a home game against Green Bay.Wisconsin man takes ax to family car, TV, & laptop after thinking his wife damaged his action figures—The ComebackNo word if the man is 40-years old or a virgin who looks like Steve Carell.

The Heart of Fire module is planned to launch in Neverwinter

mmocs — Wed, 15 May 2019 02:44:28 +0000

Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city and battling its many enemies. In Neverwinter, players can create their own quests and campaigns with the Foundry, a powerful content creation tool that allows players to seamlessly integrate their adventures in to the live game world.

They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter their home. Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.

Neverwinter players had to go through many economic tweaks in the past and unfortunately Module 15 adds to it. The devs changed the way in which one of the major currencies, Rough Astral Diamonds, can be earned. Until Module 15, gear could be “salvaged” for a small amount of ADs. That’s no longer possible. Part of it is reasonable as the economy is easier to balance without gear and AD progression being tied to each other. But the devs also made it clear that that expect play styles and earn rates to change. So players will have to find the next best way to amass wealth. Buy cheapest Neverwinter Astral Diamond from Mmocs with fast delivery and 100% safety.

This quirky take on the world of Dungeons and Dragons in Neverwinter is a delightful change of pace to others that take a more serious approach. The job faire in itself is sounding like a great take on other titles that give players the opportunity to choose from their favorite NPCs to decide a class, only with a unique twist in sabotage. The orientation is also a hilarious and fun entry into all new manner of quests, where players get a great look at the two that are supposed to be guiding them on their way – but are a bit of a mess themselves. There’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming Neverwinter module. This isn’t even mentioning professions getting reworked and allowing players to manage their own workshop in Protector’s Enclave.

Anyone interested in Neverwinter, those who have taken a break and anyone still playing should look forward to the latest module update. With a whole new slew of quests and story to embark on, it will make for a hilariously enjoyable journey that will be a blast to take part in. It shakes things up in just the right way that it’s funny and enjoyable, but isn’t distracting or take away from the core gameplay at all. Those wanting to jump into the wonderful world of Dungeons and Dragons in a beautifully unique take should prepare themselves for everything to come. The Heart of Fire module is planned to launch in Neverwinter this fall, so players have a bit of time to prepare to set on the crazy journey of quests that awaits them on PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

The defending Super Bowl champions are back in the playoff race. The Eagles http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-nick-bellore-jersey , who were left for dead a couple weeks ago, now have a very clear path to the playoff: Win out and they win the NFC East. Of course, that won’t be easy: Their four remaining games are at Dallas, at L.A. Rams, home against the Texans and at Washington. But they at least have a chance, and would probably make the playoffs if they even win three of their last four. Here’s how the playoff picture looks through Week 13:1. Rams (11-1): They have an easy schedule the rest of the way and a good chance of finishing ahead of the Saints in the standings.2. Saints (10-2): Still the favorites to earn a bye week, but now they have an uphill climb to home-field advantage.3. Bears (8-4): The inside track to the No. 3 seed, but the loss to the Giants hurt.4. Cowboys (7-5): All alone in first place in the NFC East.5. Seahawks (7-5): The Seahawks are looking like a likely playoff team, in a season some saw as a rebuilding year.6. Vikings (6-5-1): At Seattle on Monday night is a huge one in the wild card race.7. Panthers (6-6): Carolina is in a tailspin, but the Panthers still own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Philadelphia.8. Eagles (6-6): Sunday’s game in Dallas is enormous: Win and they’re the favorites in the NFC East, lose and they’re almost certainly not making the playoffs.9. Washington (6-6): They once had a big lead in the NFC East, now they’re in third place and have Mark Sanchez at quarterback.10. Buccaneers (5-7): Jameis Winston is finally playing well, but is it too late to save Dirk Koetter’s job?11. Packers (4-7-1): Another loss cost Mike McCarthy his job.12. Falcons (4-8): This season has been a major disappointment.13. Giants (4-8): Playing better, but still stuck in last place in the NFC East.14. Lions (4-8): Matt Patricia has already lost more games this year than Jim Caldwell lost in either of the last two years.15. Cardinals (3-9): Showed some progress by winning in Green Bay.16. 49ers (2-10): The worst team in the NFC. The Detroit Lions were able to get off to a hot start—especially defensively—against their in-division rivals. However, a game-changing play to end the first half seemed to derail the entire team, and the Minnesota Vikings just dominated the second half to defeat the Lions 24-9. Here’s how it all happened. First quarterThe Lions lost the coin toss and that meant their offense was to take the field first. Detroit started the game off by hammering the running game, and it appeared to be working. LeGarrette Blount for 4, Zach Zenner for 5, then Zenner for 29. But Detroit only went backwards from their, working their way out of field position. Punter Sam Martin, however, was able to pin the Vikings at their own 2-yard line. The Lions were able to immediately get a three-and-out, giving the offense good field position to work with. Matthew Stafford hit Kenny Golladay on a crossing route for 21 yards http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-jarrad-davis-jersey , but Detroit, again, failed to do much once in field goal position. They didn’t go backwards, however, so Matt Prater was able to put the Lions up early. 3-0 Lions.Detroit’s defense continued to control the line of scrimmage, as the Vikings went three-and-out again. Quandre Diggs laid the boom on a curious third-and-6 draw play from the Vikings.Once again, the Lions offense successfully worked their way into Vikings territory. Once again, questionable play calling an execution caused Detroit to move out of field goal position. Facing a third-and-13 at the Vikings 33-yard line, Detroit opted to run a safe draw play... except it lost yards and pushed Detroit out of field goal position. But, again, the Lions defense forced a three-and-out, this time thanks got a Damon Harrison tackle for loss and a Nevin Lawson sack on third down. At the end of the first quarter, the Lions had the yardage advantage 90-4, but only led by three points.Second quarterThe second quarter got off to a good start for Detroit, as the Vikings ensuing punt went just 29 yards, giving the Lions offense great field position—at Minnesota’s 38-yard line. The Lions offense was able to pick up one first down, but nothing more. Prater knocked through another to push the Lions’ lead to six early in the second quarter. 6-0 Lions. Detroit’s defense forced a FOURTH STRAIGHT three-and-out on the next possession. This time, Romeo Okwara came up big with a third-down sack. Detroit’s defense was just absolutely dominating: Back-to-back passes to TJ Jones and Golladay for 12 and 16 yards respectively got Detroit onto the Vikings’ side of the field again. But, again, Detroit couldn’t muster much once getting into field goal position. Prater was true, this time, from 48. 9-0 Lions. But the defensive floodgates would not hold forever. The Vikings not only got their first first down on the next drive, but they would find the end zone. On a key third-and-long Eli Harold Jersey White , Kirk Cousins drew Darius Slay away from his zone commitment, and found Adam Thielen for a 40-yard play. Slay was injured on the play after delivering a big hit, and Cousins would pick on Marcus Cooper Sr. for a touchdown a few plays later. 9-7 Lions. Thanks to smart timeout usage, the Lions offense had a great opportunity to get more points on the board before the half, but the offense couldn’t muster up any points. Unfortunately, the Lions offense got off the field so quickly that they allowed the Vikes an opportunity to score. Then this happened:14-9 Vikings.Third quarterThe Vikings started with the ball, and suddenly their offense had life. Minnesota was able to run the ball effectively for the majority of the drive, but Detroit’s defense held up strong in the red zone. Vikings kicker Dan Bailey avoided the Audible Dong on the 24-yard field goal attempt, and pushed Minnesota’s lead to 17-9. The Lions offense responded with a quick three-and-out, giving the Vikings a chance to extend their lead to two possessions, but Detroit’s defense forced a speedy three-and-out of their own. However, Detroit gave the ball quickly back after Matthew Stafford was sacked for the first time in the game on third down.Fourth QuarterThis time, the Vikings offense took advantage of the good field position and pushed the score to two possession. Detroit’s defense looked gassed and couldn’t get a stop, as Cousins ended up finding Kyle Rudolph for his second touchdown of the game. 24-9 Vikings.Detroit’s offense had a couple of chances to respond, but couldn’t get anything going. Eventually they would turn it over on downs deep in their own territory, giving the Vikings an easy field goal to extend their lead to three scores. 27-9 Vikings.Matt Cassel came in the game late to go four-and-out on his own, ending any distant hope of a miraculous comeback. The loss drops the Lions to 5-10. This is the first season since 2012 that the Lions have suffered double-digit losses and only the second time during the Matthew Stafford era when he has played in at least 11 games. The Vikings, on the other hand, hold onto their six-seed in the playoff race, but the Eagles remain hot on their heels. PregameIf you’re here, it either means you’re going to make a snarky comment about watching the Detroit Lions game inebriated, or you’re a Minnesota Vikings fan, or you’re someone interested in the NFC Wild Card Race http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-frank-ragnow-jersey , or you’re a Lions fans going down on the sinking ship.At 5-9, the Lions’ playoff hopes are gone, as are their hopes to finishing .500 or above. The only thing left is to play spoiler, and boy could they be a big spoil this week. The 7-6-1 Vikings are clinging to the last playoff spot, just above the 7-7 Eagles and 7-7 Washington team. To stay ahead of both teams, the Vikings desperately need a win, especially with an incoming game against the Chicago Bears next week. Unfortunately for Detroit, they’re pretty beat up this week, and they haven’t had a ton of success against this Vikings defense recently. He has a bright future, and so do the Browns. That’s something that could never be said about them when Jackson was their coach.

I hope everyone’s having a great start to their day. Outside of an interesting Bill Belichick article regarding his resignation 20 years ago, there isn’t much going on in terms of news for the team. Stypulkoski speculates whether the Jets should target OL or DL in Free Agency this year, but I don’t see why we wouldn’t be going after both. This year’s a pretty shallow year in ‘skill’ position players hitting the FA market, so we should load up on the meat and potato guys now. Not only because they are the strongest groups hitting the market, but because they’re also a huge need on both sides of the ball for the Jets specifically. The Jets are expected to fire head coach Todd Bowles at some point in the near future Youth ArDarius Stewart Jerseys , but Bowles remained unwilling to discuss his status after Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.Bowles has consistently refused to answer questions about his job security in recent weeks, but he did field some other questions that nipped at the edges of his outlook. Bowles said he expects to meet with CEO Christopher Johnson tomorrow “and we will go from there” and that he felt about the same as the team’s record — 4-12 — when asked about his emotional state. He also fielded questions about whether expectations for the team were realistic given the talent on hand during his four years with the team. Bowles said coaches “feel like you can with anybody.”“As a coach, you are supposed to win, regardless of who is on your roster. And you know, we have guys that can play and we have guys that are coming along that are young. We have guys that got injured, but that鈥檚 everybody in the league. Chad Wheeler film study: Did the Giants make the right choice at right tackle?

liny — Tue, 14 May 2019 06:45:01 +0000

The New York Giants made waves early on the third Sunday of the 2018 season when it was announced that they were benching right tackle Ereck Flowers in favor of second-year UDFAChad Wheeler. There was much rejoicing among the fan base Sunday morning when the news hit. And at first blush the victory over the Houston Texans Jonathan Stewart Jerseys 2019 , weighed against losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys, gives credence to the Giants’ decision. But it still bears asking whether the Giants’ choice was the right one going forward. To answer the question, let’s look at the tape.Pass protectionFirst quarter, 5:37, first-and-10, Houston 29 The Giants start the play in the shotgun with their 11-personnel set. Odell Beckham is the lone receiver to the offensive right, with Evan Engram inline next to Wheeler, while Sterling Shepard is in the slot and Cody Latimer is out wide at the X position. The play is supposed to be a quick screen pass to Wayne Gallman, but it is sniffed out and blown up almost immediately Tyrann Mathieu, but that isn’t what we are here for. The Texans are in their 4-2-5 nickel set, with J.J. Watt lined up at left defensive end, at the 7-technique outside of the right tackle. Watt takes an outside route to the quarterback right from the start, and Wheeler quickly gets into his kick slide to meet and usher him around the pocket. However, just as the two are about to make contact, Wheeler lunges, opens his hips away from Watt, and lets his hands go wide. The wide hands and open hips give Watt an opening to use a rip move White Nate Solder Jerseys , gaining leverage and turning Wheeler’s back to the line of scrimmage.Manning is just able to get the pass off before the diving Watt can bat it down, but he still takes the big defensive end’s leg to the back of the knee. The play went nowhere, but thankfully Manning got up quickly.Play 2 Third quarter, 8:35, first-and-10, Giants’ 9-yard lineOnce again the Giants are in their 11-personnel, shotgun set. This time, Rhett Ellison is the tight end and he is attached on the left side of the line, while the two receivers are on the offensive right. The Giants use play-action to fake a run to the right. The play-action is sold well, sucking in the linebackers and moving the defense away from Sterling Shepard in the slot. Unfortunately, safety Kareem Jackson is drawn in to the passing lane and deflects the ball. Once again Watt is lined up on the defensive right, outside of Wheeler’s outside shoulder. Unlike the previous play, the Giants’ run-action fake freezes Watt slightly, forcing him to play the run instead of rushing the passer all-out. Watt is still easily able to win Wheeler’s chest plate and establish leverage, and would have discarded the block to make a play on Barkley if he had the ball. However, Wheeler does a good enough job of staying in Watt’s way and selling the run block that he isn’t able to impact the play. It’s part scheme and part player, and except for a good play to knock the ball down by Jackson Nate Solder Jerseys 2019 , the would be a win.Run blocking Building off of a play-action pass, let’s take a look at Wheeler’s run blocking.First quarter, 7:42, first-and-10, Giants 39-yard lineThis is the fifth play of the game for the Giants’ offense. The team comes out in their 12 personnel package (two tight ends), with Evan Engram attached to the left side of the line while Rhett Ellison attached on the right side of the line. “Smash mouth football” and “spread offense” aren’t usually spoken together, but that’s what this is. The Giants have their wide receivers both lined up out wide, and with Ellison, Engram, and Barkley on the field, the threat of the pass is definitely present. That keeps the Texans from crowding the line of scrimmage. And this isn’t true “power” football, with Ellison and Engram both releasing into routes. However, the alignment and routes combine to keep Texans’ defense from keying on the run completely and ignoring the pass. As a result, what looks to be an 8-man box is effectively a six-man box and a favorable run look. The play is made by a good block from John Greco at center and a straight mauling by Will Hernandez at left guard. Wheeler isn’t a huge factor in the play at all, but given Watt’s speed into the back field, sealing the back-side is important none the less. Wheeler does a good job of getting in Watt’s way, actually winning the hand battle for a moment — plenty long enough for Barkley to run through the gaping hole to the left. Watt is eventually able to discard Wheeler’s block and rallies to the ball White Kareem Martin Jerseys , but not before Barkley is down for a 13-yard gain.A quick look at FlowersThis is an attempt to convert a third-and-13 on the Giants’ second drive in their week 2 match-up against the Dallas Cowboys. Flowers was far from perfect in this game, but he showed significant improvement in his second start at right tackle since 2012. Dallas runs a slot blitz under a Cover 2 shell, meaning that not only does Manning not have much time to get the pass off, nothing comes open down the field until he decides to take the check-down to Wayne Gallman. Demarcus Lawrence rushes the right B-gap, but Flowers easily passes him off to Omameh and Greco after the linebacker threatening to blitz that gap drops in to coverage. Flowers actually does a great job to go from defending the B-gap to getting out to pick up the blizting slot corner. Between the block of Lawrence and picking up the blitzer, Manning has a pocket to step up in to and gets the ball to Gallman. The running back isn’t able to pick up the first down and the Giants have to punt.Final thoughtsI don’t say this to dump on Wheeler, but it was difficult to find positives in his game this past Sunday. Granted, he was lined up against one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL, but even Whitney Mercilus gave him problems. His best reps, and the second play featured was among them, came when the rusher used an outside move. On those plays he was generally able to force them around the pocket. But he proved consistently unable to deal with inside moves. Any time a rusher rushed through the right B gap between Wheeler and Omameh, he barely slowed them down. Each time, the lunge, open hips, and wide hands he showed in the first play proved to be his undoing. By turning perpendicular to the line of scrimmage too early, Wheeler was essentially opening a door for the rushers and making it almost impossible to for him to gain leverage on the rusher. A tendency for his hips to rise into contact only compounded the problem. The Giants won Sunday because were able to scheme around the weaknesses on their of offensive line. By using quick passes, misdirection Kareem Martin Jerseys 2019 , and getting Eli Manning out of the pocket — not to mention Manning playing much, much better than the previous week — the team was largely able to function in spite of the Texans’ talented front seven. It doesn’t get easier for Wheeler, however. This coming week the team will host the New Orleans Saints and defensive lineman Cameron Jordan. Like Watt, Jordan is a big, long, powerful, and athletic defensive lineman who lines up predominantly on the right side. The win likely means that the right tackle job is Wheeler’s to lose, and the Giants have to hope that he will improve in the role. Things won’t really get easier from here on out, from Jordan next week to Ryan Kerrigan in Washington to the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive front, to Khalil Mack and the Bears. The line has its work cut out for it, and the scheme that the Giants used in Houston is on tape for their opponents to study.New York Giants depth chart: What the depth chart looks like after roster makeover With the regular-season here the New York Giants have released their official depth chart.
