Mike Clevinger will make his last start of the regular season

for the Cleveland Indians on Friday night against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. When and where Clevinger’s next start take place remains to be seen. All that’s known is that Clevinger’s next appearance will be sometime during the Indians’ American League Division Series versus the Houston Astros. That series begins Friday in Houston.Article continues below ...Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco will start the first two games of the Division Series. Clevinger could be used out of the bullpen in those games or http://www.raysfanproshop.com/authentic-nathan-eovaldi-jersey , if he doesn’t pitch in either game as a reliever, he will likely start Game 3.That decision has yet to be made by Indians manager Terry Francona and his staff, but Clevinger said he’s ready for whatever role he fills in the postseason.“I don’t know what’s set in stone so far,” Clevinger told MLB.com. “But I obviously want to pitch as much as possible. I’d definitely like to get to start. Whatever (Francona) thinks is best.”Francona has a lot on his plate these days. In addition to setting up his rotation for the Division Series, he has been trying to give some of his position players occasional days off over the last week, but still trying to keep all his players sharp for the team’s third consecutive trip to the postseason.“I’m just trying to balance guys playing,” Francona told MLB.com. “I know people are paying to watch these games. I don’t ever want it to feel like there’s disrespect. So we try to put enough out there and do it at the right time.”Clevinger’s numbers this year are very similar to last year, when he was 12-6 with a 3.11 ERA. This year he is 12-8 with a 3.07 ERA. The biggest difference is his innings pitched: 121 2/3 last year, 193 this year. He is one of four Indians starting pitchers with more than 200 strikeouts — the first time in major league history a team has had four 200-strikeout pitchers.Clevinger’s last start was a no-decision Sept. 22, a 5-4 Cleveland victory over Boston. Clevinger pitched five innings, allowing two runs and three hits http://www.raysfanproshop.com/authentic-daniel-robertson-jersey , with six strikeouts and five walks. His last start against Kansas City was a 9-3 victory Sept. 4, in which he pitched six innings, giving up one run and three hits, with 10 strikeouts and one walk.In four starts against the Royals this year, Clevinger is 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA. In nine career appearances (eight starts) against Kansas City he is 5-0 with a 2.37 ERA.Kansas City’s Friday starter will be veteran right-hander Ian Kennedy (3-8, 4.59). After missing nearly two months with an oblique strain, Kennedy was activated off the disabled list Sept. 9. He is 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in three starts since. His last start was a 4-3 victory over Detroit on Sept. 21, when he pitched seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) and seven hits, with six strikeouts and no walks. His only start against the Indians this year was a good one, a 1-0 win April 7 in which he pitched six scoreless innings on four hits Matt Andriese Jersey , with eight strikeouts and no walks. In 11 career starts against Cleveland, Kennedy is 3-5 with a 5.34 ERA. BOSTON (AP) — Nathan Eovaldi’s marathon relief performance in Game 3 of the World Series is a moment that will resonate in Red Sox history.Boston rewarded him with a $68 million, four-year contract.“We’re very happy to have Nathan back with us,” Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said in a statement as the deal was announced Thursday. “He did a tremendous job for us last season, playing a significant role in helping us win the division and the World Series. His performance in the postseason was outstanding, both as a starting pitcher and as a reliever.”A 28-year-old right-hander who has had a pair of Tommy John surgeries, Eovaldi was acquired by Boston from Tampa Bay on July 25. He went 3-3 with a 3.33 ERA down the stretch. He made four starts against the Yankees, going 2-0 with a 0.39 ERA, and beat the New York in Game 3 of the AL Division Series, when he gave up one run in seven innings. In six postseason appearances, including two starts http://www.raysfanproshop.com/authentic-c.-j.-cron-jersey , Eovaldi went 2-1 with a 1.61 ERA, a .185 opponent’s batting average, 16 strikeouts, and three walksEovaldi pitched one inning of relief in each of the first two games of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He entered Game 3 in the 12th inning and threw 97 pitches over six-plus innings, preventing the bullpen from enduring additional stress.Boston lost the game when Eovaldi surrendered an 18th-inning home run to Max Muncy, but his performance inspired his teammates. Manager Alex Cora credited Eovaldi’s effort with being one of the catalysts that helped Boston win its fourth World Series title in 15 years. At the premiere of the Red Sox’s 2018 season highlight video, Eovaldi got the biggest cheers when his name was mentioned, with the crowd chanting “Bring him back!”“Nobody’s going to remember who won that game. Everybody’s going to remember Nate Eovaldi,” Cora said.Eovaldi is part of a projected starting rotation that includes Chris Sale, David Price, Rick Porcello and Eduardo Rodriguez. Eovaldi’s new deal pays $17 million annually.Eovaldi had Tommy John surgery in 2007 when he was a junior in high school and his second in August 2016 while with the Yankees. He was let go by New York after the season and signed with Tampa Bay Jesus Sucre Jersey , a deal that guaranteed $2 million in 2017 and included a $2 million option for 2018. He had arthroscopic surgery late in spring training to remove loose bodies in his pitching elbow and did not make his season debut until May 30 — his first major league game since Aug. 10, 2016.Boston earlier reached a $6.25 million, one-year contract with first baseman Steve Pearce, the World Series MVP. Remaining unsigned players who became free agents after winning the Series include closer Craig Kimbrel, left-hander Drew Pomeranz, right-hander Joe Kelly and second basemen Brandon Phillips and Ian Kinsler.

Andrew Suarez (4-9) was tagged for seven runs, five earned, and seven hits in a season-low 2 2/3 innings. Sean M. Haffey/Getty ImagesLos Angeles Angelspitcher and designated hitterShohei Ohtani underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Monday.General manager Billy Eppler revealed as much, perJeff Fletcher of theLos Angeles Daily News, and noted Ohtani will not pitch in 2019. Instead, he will only serve as a designated hitter Jim Palmer Jersey , although it is not yet known when he will be available. The 24-year-old was initially put on the disabled list on June 8 and diagnosed with aGrade 2 sprain of his ulnar collateral ligament. He underwent "platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapy," according to Yahoo Sports. But Ohtani ultimately opted to have surgery after newdamage to his ulnar collateral ligament was discovered."I think it was the proper decision Shohei made to have surgery, and the sooner the better," then-Angels manager Mike Scioscia said in late September, per ESPN.com."It obviously puts him out of pitching in 2019, but he'll be able to hit, and I think he's at peace with that," Scioscia added. "He wants to excel at both phases of the game. The fact he can't pitch (next season), there is a little bit of a void. But he'll be able to hit and focus on that."Ohtaniwas arguably the team's best player outside of superstar Mike Trout in 2018. On the mound, he went 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 10 starts and 51.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .285 with 22 homers, 61 RBI and 59 runs in 326 at-bats.The injury didn't appear to negatively affectOhtani's impact at the plate, and his numbers there alone may be enough to earn himthe American League Rookie of the Year award. But it was his ability to make a major impact as both a starting pitcher and hitter that made him one of the most unique talents in baseball. Now, though, the pitching side of his overall game will be shelved for at least the 2019 season, a disappointment for both the Angels and MLB fans in general.

ANAHEIM http://www.rangersfanproshop.com/authentic-nomar-mazara-jersey , Calif. (AP) — They are a combined 58 years old and took long paths toward their major league debuts this season. They’ve become close friends and, on Wednesday night, both flashed some power.Arcia homered twice and drove in four runs, Fernandez hit his second career homer and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Texas Rangers 8-1 on Wednesday night.Arcia had a two-run double in the second inning off Yovani Gallardo and homered in the sixth and again in the eighth. Fernandez, the 30-year-old rookie from Cuba, went deep again after hitting his first major league homer on Tuesday.“We’re always together,” said the 28-year-old Arcia, who spent 11 years in the minors. “We’re like brothers. We’re always talking about how we want to play here like we played in little leagues and minor leagues. Just living the dream. Play hard every day. Take the opportunity they give to us.”Felix Pena (3-4) worked six scoreless innings, striking out three and walking one, as the Angels won for the sixth time in seven games.Joey Gallo hit his 36th homer of the season for the Rangers, who have lost five of six. He said he was OK after some discomfort during his final at-bat.“Just a stinger. Last at-bat Ferguson Jenkins Jersey , the knob dug into my wrist, so it was kind of ringing on me that last at-bat, but it’s good,” Gallo said. “It will be fine.”A day earlier, the Angels gave Fernandez the customary silent treatment after his homer before Trout splashed him in the face with a cup of water. This time, Trout was waiting on the top step of the dugout to give Fernandez a high-five after his third-inning homer, which made it 6-0.The 27-year-old Trout has enjoyed watching two rookies who are older than him.“It’s awesome,” Trout said. “Obviously, it’s not where we want to be from the team standpoint, but guys are getting opportunities to play and they’re taking advantage of it. It’s fun to be a part of. I see them come in and work hard every day. You can’t take that away from them. They’re getting an opportunity to play in the big leagues. They’re having fun with it.”Arcia, who made his major league debut on the day Martin Maldonado was traded to the Astros http://www.rangersfanproshop.com/authentic-jason-grilli-jersey , has five homers this season.Justin Upton tripled to left field to score a run in the third, snapping a skid of 15 hitless at-bats, to put the Angels ahead 3-0.Gallardo (8-5) allowed six runs on six hits in three innings.TROUT’S CATCH OF THE DAYTrout had an outfield assist in the third, a two-hop throw to catcher Arcia to cut down Robinson Chirinos at the plate.Manager Mike Scioscia said there’s no doubt his center fielder should win his first Gold Glove.“It’s every outfielder’s dream,” Trout said. “I try to go out there and catch everything and throw everybody out. It’d be pretty cool.”BOBBLEHEAD LIKENESS?The Angels revealed the Scioscia bobblehead that will be given away on Sept. 29. Asked what he thought of it, Scioscia joked, “I’m going to try to say ‘ugly’ in three languages.”Scioscia needed it translated in Japanese, but he knew and said “feo,” the Spanish word for ugly. The bobblehead depicts Scioscia holding a lineup card that features some of the best players he’s managed in 19-year tenure — including leadoff hitter Trout and Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero in the No. 2 spot.TRAINER’S ROOMAngels: RHP Shohei Ohtani (right elbow ligament) is not getting any treatment for his injury, just routine body maintenance. He is expected to decide before the season ends whether he will have the recommended Tommy John surgery and, if so Ryan Rua Jersey , when. … DH Albert Pujols (elbow, knee) had surgery on his right elbow Wednesday to remove bone spurs.UP NEXTRangers: LHP Yohander Mendez (1-1, 5.27 ERA) will start for the Rangers to open a series Friday in San Diego. Mendez will make his fourth major league start. After allowing a first-inning home run to Khris Davis in his last start, he retired 10 of the final 12 batters he faced.Angels: RHP Odrisamer Despaigne (2-2, 6.40) will be the opener on a bullpen day. The Angels had a bullpen game on Tuesday and went 7 1/3 innings before allowing a hit. HOUSTON — The dire moments are casually familiar for Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander, who many seasons ago assumed the responsibility bestowed upon a staff ace.Verlander (2-0, 3.18 ERA this postseason) will make his second start of the American League Championship Series on Thursday at Minute Maid Park in Game 5 against the Boston Red Sox. He is charged with logging another effective outing — that is the baseline requirement. Of greater importance is his role relative to the Astros’ hopes for repeating as World Series champions. With Houston trailing the best-of-seven series 3-1 and facing elimination, that responsibility is significant, but the series standing doesn’t weigh on Verlander or alter his preparation for his start.Article continues below ...“I don’t know,” Verlander said. “I mean, these are all must-win games at this point. Every time you take the mound I don’t think there’s any difference whether it’s 2-2 or 3-1.”In the Astros’ 7-2 victory in Game 1 Drew Robinson Jersey , Verlander limited the Red Sox to two runs on two hits. But he issued four walks and uncorked a critical wild pitch that enabled Boston to tie the score at 2-all. Verlander labored a bit over his six innings, and while he recorded six strikeouts, he only managed seven swing-and-miss strikes over his 90 pitches. He was solid but unspectacular, and the second matchup against the Red Sox is a sure bet for another tough task.“Especially these guys, a team that’s really good at making adjustments, making adjustments quickly,” said Verlander, who is 3-1 with a 2.61 ERA over four career postseason appearances against Boston. “There are definitely unique challenges. They know my strengths. They know my weaknesses. I know theirs.“And the second time going against a lineup, you need to adjust. Or you don’t. I don’t know. That’s kind of one of those times when I like to rely on my instincts when I’m out there and just feel my way through a game.”The Red Sox will counter with left-hander David Price (0-1, 9.95 ERA over two starts this postseason) in pursuit of their first AL pennant since 2013. Price remains winless over 11 career postseason starts (0-9, 6.16 ERA) having not factored into the decision in Game 2 after allowing four runs on five hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings. However http://www.rangersfanproshop.com/authentic-alex-claudio-jersey , with their 7-5 win, the Red Sox became the first team to claim victory in a postseason start made by Price.Price warmed up in the bullpen during the eighth inning on Wednesday, poised to bail out closer Craig Kimbrel if need be. Kimbrel scuffled, allowing a run on two hits and three walks over two innings but held fast and sealed the 8-6 victory that gave Boston a commanding series lead.“We know we’re up 3-1,” Boston manager Alex Cora said. “But they’re a good team. They came back last year against the Yankees. They lost Game 6 of the World Series in Dodger Stadium and they won Game 7.“It’s not over. We know that. But to have a chance to finish (Thursday); that’s always good. We’re just going to show up (Thursday), get the information, play hard, and see what happens.”

The Chicago Cubs are going to the final day of the season

CHICAGO (AP) — with a shot at the NL Central championship.Whether they take it outright Xander Bogaerts Jersey , blow their big opportunity or have to play a tiebreaker remains unclear. So much uncertainty for a team hoping for another long postseason. The Cubs wasted a solid performance by Cole Hamels in a 2-1 loss to Miles Mikolas and the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, making for a muddled NL playoff picture.Hamels and company dropped into a tie with Milwaukee for the division lead when the Brewers rallied for a 6-5 victory over Detroit. The Cardinals kept alive their chance for a wild card, but were eliminated by the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 10-6 victory at San Francisco. The Cubs have locked up a playoff spot, but that’s all they know at this point.“It’s a special moment to be able to see that type of intensity that comes with meaningful games and that sort of playoff atmosphere,” Hamels said before Milwaukee’s victory. “It’s a little bit better when you win. … (To win the World Series), you’re gonna have to play some really tough teams at some tough moments, high intensity, high stakes.”The Cubs would have wrapped up their third straight division championship with a victory and a loss by the Brewers to Detroit on Saturday night. Chicago and Milwaukee would meet in a tiebreaker at Wrigley Field on Monday if they wind up with identical records, with the loser then playing in a wild-card game at home on Tuesday.“There’s nothing to lament with our guys,” said Cubs manager Joe Maddon, whose team led the division by five games on Sept. 2. “They’ve been playing very well for a long period of time. Our route’s been a little different than everybody else. We’ll come back ready to play (Sunday) and see how it all falls.”Mikolas (18-4) allowed one unearned run and five hits in his fifth straight win. He struck out six, walked none and improved to 10-0 in 16 road starts.“Credit to him, he shows up prepared http://www.redsoxproshops.com/authentic-joe-kelly-jersey , is even keeled and goes out there and executes and pitches,” Cardinals manager Mike Shildt said. “Just a fantastic job today.”Carlos Martinez worked a perfect ninth for his fifth save in five chances.Matt Carpenter and Paul DeJong each had RBI singles. Carpenter also scored a run. And the Cardinals got back to winning after matching a season high with four straight losses.“We did everything we could today,” Mikolas said.Hamels (4-3) was a tough-luck loser, dropping his third straight start after going 4-0 in his first nine outings following a trade from Texas. The left-hander gave up two runs, one earned, and three hits in seven innings. He struck out eight , walked two and hit two batters.Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo and Daniel Murphy hit fly balls to the warning track. But the Cubs got shut out the rest of the way after taking a 1-0 lead in the first.GRABBING THE LEADBen Zobrist singled and scored when second baseman Yairo Munoz let Javier Baez’s pop fly deflect off his glove as he tried to make an over-the-shoulder basket catch in shallow right field. It was the Cardinals’ major league-leading 132nd error.Carpenter played a role in both runs as St. Louis scored in the fourth and fifth to go up 2-1.He reached on interference by catcher Victor Caratini and scored on DeJong’s single in the fourth. Harrison Bader got hit by a pitch leading off the fifth and scored on a single by Carpenter, who got thrown out by Caratini trying to take second on the play.DOMINATINGMikolas’ 18 wins are the most by a Cardinals pitcher since Adam Wainwright’s 20 in 2014. … Hamels has a 2.36 ERA in 12 starts for Chicago.TRAINER’S ROOMCardinals: RHP Bud Norris (tight left hamstring) was unavailable, Shildt said. Norris faced two batters in the seventh inning Friday before leaving the game.Cubs: RHP Pedro Strop (strained left hamstring) said he does not expect to pitch again until the playoffs. Injured running to first on a double-play grounder at Washington on Sept. 13, he still experiences some discomfort on the landing throwing off the mound. “I expect to feel it a little bit,” Strop said. “But it was nothing major, nothing like I reinjured it. I knew it was gonna hurt at some point. I’m not afraid of it.”UP NEXTCardinals: RHP Jack Flaherty (8-8 Blake Swihart Jersey , 3.16 ERA) pitches in the regular-season finale on Sunday. He is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his past five starts.Cubs: LHP Mike Montgomery (5-6, 3.99 ERA) tries to close out the regular season on a winning note after getting tagged for five runs in four innings in a loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Stacy Revere/Getty ImagesThe Milwaukee Brewers forced a deciding game in the 2018 NLCS with a 7-2victory Friday night over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.Jesus Aguilar, Mike Moustakas and Erik Kratz delivered run-scoring hits as part of the Brewers' four-run first inning after David Freese had crushed a leadoff home run for the Dodgers.L.A. threatened a comeback in the fifth when it brought the tying run to the plate, but Corey Knebel came out of the bullpen to secure two key outs and preserve the lead, which Milwaukee never relinquished.Brewers' Depth Will Continue To Prove VitalAlthough much attention was given to the dominance of Brew Crew outfielder Christian Yelich during the second half of the season鈥攁nd rightfully so鈥攖he team's ability to get contributions from anywhere in the order was also crucial to edging the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. It's a theme that's carried into the club's postseason run and was on full display Friday, as the Brewers got key hits from Aguilar, Moustakas and Kratz. Their hits in the first inning immediately changed the outlook of the game after Los Angeles had grabbed the early lead.MLB MLBFive hits, FOUR runs. The Crew come out SWINGING. #NLCS WrKiDNh7GgIf playoff trends hold, the Dodgers aren't going to give Yelich or Ryan Braun much to hit in Game 7. They have combined for seven walks in the series, as L.A. has been content to force them to chase outside the zone or accept the base on balls to make Milwaukee's other hitters drive in runs. The same could be said on the pitching side. Knebel was one of six Brewers relievers to appear in at least 49 games during the regular season, and only one of them had an ERA above 4.00 (Taylor Williams). Having so many reliable options out of the bullpen takes away a lot of pressure, especially in a Game 7."Our depth is what's been valuable," managerCraig Counselltold reportersbefore the playoffs. "And we feel like it's helped us and allowed us [to win games] http://www.redsoxproshops.com/authentic-rick-porcello-jersey , and there's been nights where that doesn't happen."Another strong showing from that unheralded group of secondary contributors Saturday night would likely push Milwaukee into the World Series. Dodgers Must End Power OutageFreese's homer to open Game 6 was just the Dodgers' third of the NLCS. The lack of long balls for an offense with so much pop is a main reason the series is going the distance.Los Angeles ranked second in the majors and first in the National League with 235 home runs during the regular season. The club added eight more during its NLDS destruction of the Atlanta Braves, with six different players going yard in the four-game series. If the Dodgers are going to turn the tide back in their favor for Game 7, it's probably going to take a sudden return to form in the power department. While the onus is mostly on Max Muncy and Cody Bellinger to put their game-changing power on display, the Dodgers featured 10 different players with at least 13 homers during the regular season. So there's enough pop throughout the lineup to make serious noise.Milwaukee's Home-Field Advantage Makes It Game 7 FavoriteThe Brewers have benefited from playing at Miller Park all year.Their 51 home wins during the regular season were tied with the Cubs' for the most in the National League. They went 2-0 in Milwaukee in their sweep of the Colorado Rockies in the Division Series and are now 2-1 in their friendly confines against the Dodgers in the NLCS.Milwaukee Brewers BrewersHome field advantage is real and its spectacular. #OurCrewOurOctober pTQ6nCdyupTypically, home-field advantage isn't a major deal in baseball. Teams playing in their own park win 54 percent of the games in both the regular season and the playoffs, the lowest figures in the four major North American sports, per theAction Network. In a series that's so tightly contested, however, either side will be looking for every small edge it can get. For the Brewers, playing at home has provided a legitimate edge all year. They'll hope that remains true in Game 7 to punch their World Series ticket. What's Next?Game 7 is set for Saturday night at Miller Park with first pitch scheduled for 8:09 p.m. ET. The pivotal clash will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Bartolo Colon has been put on the 10-day disabled list because of a strained lower back. The 45-year-old Colon is 7-11 with a 5.45 ERA. The Rangers made the move before Friday night’s game at San Francisco.Colon was scratched from a start last Sunday against the Angels because of back stiffness. He pitched Monday at Oakland and was tagged for seven runs and 10 hits in five innings. Colon had won two starts in a row after losing five straight.Rangers manager Jeff Banister said the injury isn’t believed to be serious. He said Colon will go back in the rotation when he comes off the DL.“More tightness than anything else Robinson Chirinos Jersey ,” Banister said, “so we felt it was an opportunity where we could give him a little extra rest and we can get a position player up here to help us in a National League ballpark.”The move is retroactive to Tuesday.Earlier this month, Colon became the winningest pitcher born in Latin America in major league history. The Dominican Republic native posted his 246th victory, passing Nicaraguan Dennis Martinez. The Rangers recalled infielder Hanser Alberto from Triple-A Round Rock before playing the Giants. BOSTON — Having reached 100 victories for the first time in more than seven decades, the Boston Red Sox send Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound hoping to sweep their three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday night at Fenway Park. With David Price turning in another masterful performance and the only run of the game scoring on a wild pitch, the Red Sox won 1-0 Wednesday night to reach 100 wins for the first time since 1946 — and only the fourth time in franchise history.Rodriguez will face Sam Gaviglio as the Red Sox look to take their 15th win in 19 tries against the Blue Jays this season.Article continues below ...From the Red Sox’s postgame notes after Wednesday’s game:–Alex Cora became the first manager to lead a team to 100 or more wins in his first season with the club since Felipe Alou (2003 Giants, 100-61) and the first manager to lead a team to 100 wins in his first year as an major-league manager since Dusty Baker (1993 Giants, 103-59).–Cora became the second Red Sox manager to lead the team to 100 wins in his first season with Boston, joining Jake Stahl (105-47 in 1912).The franchise record Curtis Granderson Jersey , set in 1912, is 105 wins. After Thursday, the Red Sox will face New York teams for six games, hosting the Mets over the weekend and visiting the Yankees next week. But first it’s another game with the Jays, who have won only once at Fenway this season.Price pitched seven shutout innings to improve to 15-6 and remains unbeaten — and very tough to hit — since the All-Star break.“The goal is to win the World Series,” Cora said. “Since day one we’ve talked about it here. I still remember that press conference. Obviously, we’ve got a shot now.”With the New York Yankees losing again in Minneapolis, the Red Sox’s magic number for clinching their third straight American League East crown is seven. The magic number to clinch the best record is nine.Price, who went 9-1 to help the Blue Jays into the 2015 postseason http://www.bluejaysfanproshop.com/authentic-jaime-garcia-jersey , improved to 21-3 lifetime against Toronto.Aaron Sanchez pitched very well for the visitors, but lost the game on that wild pitch.“He had a real good fastball, he threw some good breaking balls he kept down in the zone and he threw some good changeups,” Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. “You hate to lose on a wild pitch, but that’s what happened. But he keeps moving in the right direction.”Rodriguez (12-4, 3.64 ERA) lost his last start, allowing five runs and six hits — including two homers — in 3 1/3 innings against Houston. He is 3-3 with a 4.63 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) in his career against Toronto, but 2-0, 2.41 in three starts this year.Gaviglio comes in 3-8 with a 5.25 ERA Yangervis Solarte Jersey , but one of the wins was against Boston, in relief. This will be his fifth appearance of the season against the Red Sox, the third straight start. He is 1-1 with a 3.95 ERA in his four games against the Red Sox this season and is 0-1 with a 4.82 ERA in two starts at Fenway.J.D. Martinez has two hits in eight at-bats against Gaviglio, but both hits are home runs. The Red Sox said Wednesday that Chris Sale, who came off the disabled list and pitched an inning — 26 pitches, two strikeouts — Tuesday, felt fine the day after. That had been a problem in his two previous games. He will shoot for three innings Sunday against the Mets.

That does not mean we won't be getting fortnite items at any point, however. The map shifted a fair amount over the course of Season 4, and Epic seems to simply be doubling down that idea with Season 5. Day 1 has brought some fairly extensive modifications, and that I get the feeling the entire time rift thing is going to bring some of those mined Wild West resources into the game however.

My guess is that this will coincide with the Road Trip skin, which said Road Trip epidermis will be more Western-themed in some way. It helps, of course, that people like Westerns and normally speaking want to wear dusters. The specifics of this skin are still up in the air, but I'm hoping for a duster.

The Blockbuster Skin-- that turned out to be called"The Visitor--" was a small mystery. The name made it seem like it had been tied to the movie sub-theme of this season, but it turned out to become a kind of alien living within the Dusty Divot meteorite. I'd expect something similar with Road Trip, and we'll likely have some much better guesses as to its origins next week.

Two things occur when a new Fortnite patch comes out. To begin with: a whole lot of stuff. That's to saythe stuff that's in the patch notes and changes in the game daily. And then there is the things you don't see but downloads onto your computer anyway.

These are documents that Epic needs in the game for the next week or 2, even when they aren't apparent on the front right away. And that means skins: every skin that is coming into the item shop in the next two weeks is already on your computer, and it is up to the intrepid dataminers of the Fortnite world to uncover them.

Mmogo has the most game currency and items, the fastest delivery speed, welcome to https://www.mmogo.com/Fortnite/Items.html!

A team meeting that included an appearance from a team executive at the end of a difficult road trip temporarily re-energized the San Jose Sharks. Now John Tavares Jersey , they know the need to build off of it.Back at SAP Center for one game, the Sharks meet the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night.San Jose (13-10-5) avoided going winless on a five-game road trip with Sunday’s 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. The Sharks were outscored 20-7 during the first four games of the swing, prompting a team meeting that was attended by general manager Doug Wilson.Article continues below ...Logan Couture saw it as a reaffirmation.“The tone was we can figure this out,” the San Jose center said after the win. “We have the team to win games in this league. It takes a full buy-in from everyone to do things right, and I think tonight is a step in that direction. I thought we did a lot of the little things well tonight.”But changes were yet to come. On Tuesday, the San Jose Mercury News reported that coach Peter DeBoer made the decision to shuffle the responsibilities of his three assistants.“We’re close, but we’ve been close for 30 games now almost,” DeBoer said. “A third of the season’s over and we’re not finding the right side of that line to get more wins.”The Sharks won’t be home for long. After this game, San Jose takes on the Dallas Stars and Arizona Coyotes on consecutive nights starting Friday. But DeBoer’s club is 6-1-1 in the last eight at SAP Center and looking for a fourth consecutive home win over Carolina.Captain Joe Pavelski noted that the team willing to take that extra step is generally more successful.“At the end of the day, it usually comes down to wanting it a little bit more, competing a little bit more, sacrificing a little more,” said Pavelski, who has a team-high 17 goals. “We’ve been in a tough stretch Authentic Jordan Eberle Jersey , but it’s nice to get a win and hopefully we can keep climbing now.”That could happen against a Hurricanes team that has managed just four goals in their last four games and is coming off a 2-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. Carolina (12-10-4) ranks near the bottom of the league with an average of 2.50 goals per game.“Michael Ferland paces the club with 11 goals, but he’s missed the last two games with a concussion and is not with the team. Sebastien Aho, who broke out with 29 goals last season, has just seven through 26 games.“We’re going to be talking about this all year,” Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour told the team’s official website on Tuesday. “That’s our group. We need to out-chance teams to be successful.”The ‘Canes are going for a split of the season series. On Oct. 26, Carolina rallied from a pair of two-goal deficits and Brock McGinn posted the only goal in the shootout for a 4-3 victory. Both teams are reportedly getting players back in the lineup.According to the Mercury News, Sharks winger Timo Meier is expected back Wednesday after missing the last three games with an upper-body injury. He ranks second on the team with 13 goals and is tied for third with 23 points.Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce has been sidelined for the last nine games with a lower-body injury.“He’s given me the nod that he’s 100 percent,” Brind’Amour told the team’s official website after practice on Tuesday.Pesce has two goals and an assist in 17 games. RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Carolina captain Justin Williams made sure the Hurricanes rebounded from a “dud” of a loss.Williams and Micheal Ferland scored in the game’s first 30 seconds and the Carolina Hurricanes held on for a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.“Listen, winning is a lot more fun, isn’t it?” Williams said. “A better attitude, a lot more fun around the dressing room.”The Hurricanes lost 4-1 at home on Saturday night to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Williams didn’t mince words after that loss, the team’s seventh in nine games.“It was a dud,” Williams said on Saturday. “Just call it what it was. A dud. And certainly unacceptable.”Jordan Staal sprung Williams Josh Bailey Jersey , who cut between Travis Zajac and Taylor Hall to give Carolina a 1-0 lead just 22 seconds in.Eight seconds later, New Jersey defenseman Damon Severson turned the puck over in the neutral zone and Teuvo Teravainen fed Ferland, who sent a one-timer past New Jersey goalie Cory Schneider (20 saves) for a 2-0 lead.Carolina’s two-goal outburst in the first half-minute is the fastest in franchise history and tied for fifth-fastest in NHL history.“It never hurts in the NHL to come up with two goals early and make them chase us,” Staal said.Goalie Curtis McElhinney made it stand up, finishing with 33 saves for Carolina, which improved to 2-1-1 after four games of a six-game homestand. The Devils, who lost in overtime at home on Saturday to the Detroit Red Wings, cut the deficit in half when Pavel Zacha flipped a backhander past McElhinney at 6:33 in the first. But New Jersey was 0 for 5 on the power play, including three empty chances in the second period.“I thought after the first 30 seconds, we gathered ourselves and played well,” New Jersey coach John Hynes said. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a way to put the puck in the net.”New Jersey had a 34 to 25 edge in shots, but could only get one shot by McElhinney. Will Butcher had two great chances to tie the game at 2, one in the second period and another in the final minute of the game Brady Skjei Jersey , but McElhinney was up to the task.“We had a couple of nice saves when we needed them,” Carolina coach Rod Brind’Amour said.Williams, who scored for the first time since Oct. 13, was happy with how the team responded after Saturday’s loss.“You always want to atone for an average game, actually well below-average,” Williams said. “I didn’t play great last game and you always want to get back at it. The good news for me was there was another game in less than 24 hours.”Brind’Amour was happy to get a win, only the third in regulation in 11 home games, and how the veteran leaders stepped up.“I thought our best players were our veteran guys,” Brind’Amour said. “We needed a win and they got us one.”But the first-year coach wasn’t pleased with the turnovers or how many chances his team created after the explosive first minute.“There’s a lot to still get better at,” Brind’Amour said. “At the end of the day, we got the win and it was an ugly win and you have to have those.”NOTES: Devils center Nico Hischier was out for the fourth straight game with an upper-body injury. … Ferland’s goal in the first period was his team-leading 10th of the season and third in four games for Carolina. … Schneider, who missed the first eight games with a hip injury, is winless in four starts this season. . The Hurricanes have only been outshot twice this season (at Chicago on Nov. 8) but they are 2-0 in those games.UP NEXTDevils: Host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.Hurricanes: Host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

Eric Fehr also had a goal from the fourth line in the series.”Every night they hopped over the boards with energy and grabbed momentum for us, drew penalties Philadelphia Flyers Hoodies Authentic ,” DeBoer said. ”They were fantastic, but I’ve said from Day 1 we need to be a four-line team if we’re going to have success. And I think the teams that are moving through are. I watched Vegas a little bit last night. They’re a four-line team.”The expansion Golden Knights are also the next team in the Sharks’ way. The two will meet in the second round starting sometime next week in just the second series in the past 22 years featuring teams coming off sweeps in the previous round.Vegas finished off the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night, part of a record-setting inaugural campaign that included a Pacific Division title in the regular season. The Sharks will likely need another strong defensive effort next round led by Jones. He was brilliant in the clincher, making several tough saves against Corey Perry. He also had a shutout in Game 1 and set a San Jose playoff record with 45 regulation saves in Game 3.He finished the series with a .970 save percentage, helping the Sharks earn their second sweep in franchise history after also doing it in the first round against Vancouver in 2013.”Goaltending wins this time of the year,” forward Logan Couture said. ”He was fantastic. He made a lot of Grade A saves. He was our best penalty killer. They had some really good looks. Perry had a lot of chances that Joner made some big saves on.”By extending their season another round, the Sharks may be able to get star center Joe Thornton back in the lineup. Thornton has been out since injuring his right knee on Jan. 23. He has resumed skating and took part in warmups throughout the series but has said he doesn’t want to return until he knows he’s healthy enough to help the team and make it through what he hopes will be a run to the Stanley Cup Final. The Sharks have time now to figure that out.”That’s all hypothetical,” DeBoer said. ”That doesn’t even cross our desk. Those decisions will be something if he is healthy we’ll make then. Sometimes those things sort themselves out. I’m just really proud of our group, the resiliency, the composure.”— BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Johnny Gaudreau’s magic touch has the Calgary Flames pointed back in the right direction. One day after setting up the winning goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Gaudreau scored 2:40 into overtime to lead the Flames to a 2-1 comeback victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. He did it in style Philadelphia Flyers Hats Authentic , too. After Matthew Tkachuk scored with 55.3 seconds in the third period, Gaudreau and Mark Giordano completed a pretty give-and-go that left Gaudreau alone with an open net.“You enjoy it,” Calgary coach Bill Peters said of Gaudreau, his leading scorer. “I’ve been on the other side of it, obviously, I’ve seen him in the league long enough. I just like the way he goes about it. He’s a passionate player and gets rewarded for his effort.”The Flames (7-5-1) have bounced back with impressive back-to-back wins on the road after a homestand to forget. Calgary lost 9-1 to Pittsburgh on Thursday before a 4-3 overtime loss to Washington on Saturday.“We’re getting where we want to be,” Giordano said. “Tonight was solid again, I didn’t think we gave up much. We’re getting to where we know what to expect out of each other defensively and we’re not cheating offense and that’s resulting in wins.”Down 1-0, the Flames took charge in the third, controlling the flow of play and outshooting Buffalo 5-1. They pulled goaltender David Rittich with more than two minutes remaining, which set up Tkachuk’s equalizer. Tkachuk tipped a hard shot from Elias Lindholm that was also deflected by Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and then again off the ice.The Sabres (6-4-2) were left frustrated after spoiling a terrific effort by goalie Carter Hutton. Hutton made 36 saves and was outstanding throughout the game.“I just feel bad for him,” Sabres coach Phil Housley said. “He’s really given us some really good Custom Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys , solid goaltending and he’s been asked to stand on his head and that’s unfortunate. … He was our best player once again. He gave us a chance to win.”Eichel put the Sabres on the board first with a power-play goal with 3:30 left in the first period. The Sabres captain ripped a one-timer from the left circle into the top of the net, ending an eight-game goal drought.“We didn’t play well,” Eichel said. “Obviously, they outplayed us and we didn’t deserve to win that game.”The Flames appeared to even the score at the start of the second period but officials ruled that a whistle blew before the puck went into the net. After a highlight-reel stick save by Hutton prevented Lindholm’s shot from crossing the goal line, the puck went into the net on a second opportunity — but officials had already blown the whistle. A replay review upheld the decision.“I liked the composure on the bench,” Peters said of the disallowed goal. “Had a little adversity there and then moved on.”Rittich made 28 saves for the Flames. The Sabres have points in five straight games (3-0-2) for the first time since a nine-game point streak in 2012.NOTES: This was the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The second takes place in Calgary on Jan. 16. … D Jake McCabe, C Evan Rodrigues and LW Remi Elie were scratched for the Sabres. D Dalton Prout, Michael Stone and C Austin Czarnik were scratched for the Flames.UP NEXTFlames: Return home to play Colorado on Thursday night.Sabres: Go on the road for a home-and-home series against Ottawa that begins on Thursday night.

Warren Foegele carried his Charlotte Checkers bag out of the visiting locker room and insisted he hadn’t yet earned an upgrade.Foegele needs a new bag now because he beat the odds and made the Carolina Hurricanes‘ opening night roster with an impressive preseason. Only reigning Art Ross Trophy winner Connor McDavid and last year’s rookie of the year Mathew Barzal had more preseason assists than Foegele Adidas Rasmus Andersson Jersey , the top surprise player to make an NHL team out of training camp.“I just came to camp, just put my head down and tried to work hard and tried to make good plays,” Foegele said. “I’m a hard-working player and I think I can fit anywhere in the lineup. I think I can grind, I think I can make plays, but I think the work ethic is what I really take a lot of pride in and that’s what I try to show.”With seven points in eight preseason games — only nine players around the league had more — Foegele beat out other forwards on one-way contracts to make Carolina’s roster. He’s a Rod Brind’Amour kind of player because the coach said Foegele is always around the play and “even if he doesn’t produce points or whatever, you just feel like he wins his shifts.”Foegele was at his best against the defending Stanley Cup champion Capitals when he forced turnovers and set up a pair of goals. The late-blooming 22-year-old who went from the University of New Hampshire to the Ontario Hockey League to the American Hockey League doesn’t stand out with his skill but can do a little bit of everything.“He really can skate and also he can score some goals,” Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho said. “He’s not just a grinder. I think he can really make some plays, too.”Foegele will get that chance this season. Here are some other players who surprised by making NHL season-opening rosters:MIKHAIL VOROBYEV Adidas Dalton Prout Jersey , FLYERSThe 6-foot-2, 194-pound Russian center didn’t just challenge for a spot with Philadelphia. General manager Ron Hextall said the 2015 fourth-round pick broke down the door and forced the organization’s hand.Vorobyev led the Flyers with seven preseason points and has stood out since Day One of training camp.“It’s what you’re looking for with your young players: Come in and make an impact, and he did,” Hextall said. “He’s a real good two-way player. He’s not a young guy that you’re afraid to put him out there because of the defensive side of the puck.”MATHIEU JOSEPH, LIGHTNINGAn injury to forward Tyler Johnson opened up a role for Joseph on Tampa Bay’s third line and second power-play unit. Joseph’s quickness is his most noticeable attribute, and he made the Lighting in large part because he led them in preseason scoring with eight points on four goals and four assists.“Speed is probably the big thing,” coach Jon Cooper told reporters Monday. “What we really liked in the preseason: He was finishing a lot.”DILLON DUBE, FLAMESIt would have been very easy for Calgary to keep Curtis Lazar Adidas Derek Ryan Jersey , but GM Brad Treliving knew Dube would play for the Flames someday. The 20-year-old made sure it was now.Dube had four goals in the preseason and could open the season on the third line with Derek Ryan and free agent signing James Neal, giving him an opportunity to put up plenty of points when the games count.JESPERI KOTKANIEMI, CANADIENSIt’s no surprise the top two picks from June’s draft, Buffalo defenseman Rasmus Dahlin and Carolina forward Andrei Svechnikov, are in the NHL right away. So maybe it shouldn’t be a shock about Kotkaniemi, but Montreal seemed to take him third as a long-range investment.Instead, the Finnish center was one of the Canadiens‘ best players in exhibition action and never looked out of place. In an organization short on big centers, Kotkaniemi is a welcome addition right away. WASHINGTON (AP) Alexander Wennberg will return to the Columbus Blue Jackets‘ lineup for Game 5 at the Washington Capitals.Coach John Tortorella confirmed his return about an hour before puck drop on Saturday. Wennberg was back after missing Games 2 Adidas James Neal Jersey , 3 and 4 after a hit to the head from Washington’s Tom Wilson. Tortorella says Wennberg replaces Sonny Milano in the lineup.Wennberg, the Blue Jackets’ second-line center, had developed chemistry with Boone Jenner and Thomas Vanek before being injured. His return restores Columbus’ depth down the middle and helps on the power play.Capitals coach Barry Trotz said if Wennberg was back in it would help the Blue Jackets but expressed confidence in his four centers – Evgeny Kuznetsov, Nicklas Backstrom, Lars Eller and Jay Beagle – to match up with any opposing line. The teams are tied at 2-all in the series. Game 6 is Monday night in Columbus.—

The Washington Capitals have re-signed John Carlson to a $64 million Womens Claude Giroux Jersey , eight-year contract that allows the Stanley Cup champions to keep the do-it-all defenseman.Carlson will count $8 million against the salary cap through the 2026-27 season. General manager Brian MacLellan announced the deal Sunday.”John has been an exceptional and consistent player for our franchise and has blossomed into being one of the top defensemen in the NHL,” MacLellan said. ”Defenseman like John are a rare commodity in our League and, at 28 years of age, we feel he is just entering his prime. As a right-handed defenseman, John plays in all key situations and has contributed greatly to our team’s success on the special teams. We are pleased for both parties to have come to an agreement.”That’s not necessary for the 28-year-old who has made the Washington area his home and wanted to stay if there was a fit. The Capitals got the cap space necessary to re-sign Carlson by trading veteran defenseman Brooks Orpik and backup goaltender Philipp Grubauer on Friday night at the NHL draft.Carlson outperformed his last deal that paid him just under $4 million a season and was at his best in a contract year. He led all defensemen with 68 points in the regular season and 20 in the playoffs to help Washington win the Metropolitan Division and then the Stanley Cup.The contract makes Carlson the second-highest-paid player on the Capitals behind Alex Ovechkin.Carlson averaged about 25 minutes a game all season, stepping up early when top-pairing defenseman Matt Niskanen missed time with injury and playing an important role on the power play and penalty kill on the Cup run.”His value is immense,” goaltender Braden Holtby said. ”You can see that, how much he meant to our team in this run. As far as growth, I think he’s grown steadily but I think he’s been pretty good for a long time. He’s been really good for a long time. I think this year it just showed through a bit more because we just forced him to play more.”Carlson has been a mainstay on the Capitals’ blue line since 2010-11. The 2008 first-round pick has 333 points in 608 regular-season games and 55 points in 100 playoff games.”I’ve always thought he was one of the better defensemen that I’ve ever played with,” winger T.J. Oshie said. ”This year, he elevated that quite a bit. In my eyes, he’s got to be a top-three or top-five defenseman in the league. You see what he does- he doesn’t do a lot of things that are really flashy http://www.flyersshoponline.com/authentic-ivan-provorov-jersey , so maybe he doesn’t get the highlight-reel things that other guys do, but defensively, he rarely ever gets beat.”Re-signing Carlson was just the first move on MacLellan’s summer checklist. He’s attempting to re-sign trade-deadline pickup Michal Kempny before Carlson’s defense partner can become an unrestricted free agent July 1, and he needs to negotiate new contracts for restricted free agent forwards Tom Wilson and Devante Smith-Pelly.”We’re trying to sign Kempny,” MacLellan said Friday. ”We’re trying to sign Wilson as an RFA and then make some decisions after that.”There’s also the matter of replacing Barry Trotz as coach after he resigned and joined the New York Islanders. Associate coach Todd Reirden, who was a finalist for the Flames’ head job two years ago, is the heavy front-runner, though MacLellan wanted to sit down and formally interview him this week first.”I think you still need to go through an interview process and ask the right questions,” MacLellan said. ”I just want to clarify on what he’s thinking system-wise and how he’s going to handle certain players.”It helps his case that Reirden coached the defenseman and had a hand in the development of Carlson, Niskanen, Kempny and Dmitry Orlov.”The players all know him, they’re comfortable with him Jakub Voracek Jersey Kids ,” MacLellan said. ”He’ll have a good feel for personalities, how to motivate people and so forth.”— GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Arizona Coyotes still are not a .500 team. They are still the lowest-scoring team in the NHL.But they are not the team they were a season ago, and that could be a problem for the busy and beaten-up Vancouver Canucks when the teams meet Thursday at Gila River Arena. The Canucks overcame a number of injuries to beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in a shootout at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday night. Bo Horvat scored two goals while Jacob Markstrom made 33 saves and stopped all four Vegas attempts in the shootout. Markus Granlund was the only player to score in the four-round shootout.Article continues below ...Vancouver rebounded from a 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals on Monday. Canucks injuries sustained by defensemen Christopher Tanev and Alexander Edler and forward Sven Baertschi in that game sidelined them for Wednesday’s contest. The Canucks already were playing without injured top-line center Elias Pettersson (concussion), who has missed the last five games, and right wing Brock Boeser (groin). With all those injuries, the Canucks must turn around and play another game in less than 24 hours. There is a slight chance Pettersson could return, although he might wait until the Canucks open a five-game homestand Saturday. He has five goals and three assists in five games. The Coyotes begin a five-game homestand at Gila River Arena against the Canucks, and, despite their 3-5 record, they are looking like a considerably improved team from a season ago.Last season, the Coyotes didn’t post a win until Oct. 30 — they started 0-10-1 — and didn’t claim their third victory until Nov. 16 Youth Jordan Weal Jersey , when they were 3-15-3 record. They never got close to .500 all season, despite going 20-14-7 in the second half of the season. Now, they are coming off a 2-2 road trip that ended with a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday, a win keyed by Christian Fischer’s first career hat trick. They also beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 during the trip, and coach Rick Tocchet was encouraged by his team’s play during a 5-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.Maybe the Coyotes still aren’t quite where Tocchet would like them to be — they have scored an NHL-low 14 goals in eight games — but they’re much better off than they were last October, when their season was effectively over by Halloween. While they are more competitive, the Coyotes would like to start winning at home — and start scoring some goals. They have been shut out in both of their home games to date, a 1-0 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 6 and a 3-0 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 13.The return of projected top line center Alex Galchenyuk could help Arizona. He played Tuesday for the first time this season after being out with a lower-body injury that occurred in the Coyotes’ first preseason game. He missed seven games, but Tocchet liked what he saw in Galchenyuk’s return.“I think Alex was fine,” Tocchet said. “I think that line was struggling a little bit on certain things. They were OK, they were trying to get some chemistry. Alex had surgery a month ago and rehab, and he’ll be fine. I think there’s some chemistry there.”Galchenyuk was the center on a line that had Lawson Crouse at left wing and Clayton Keller at right wing.“It took me awhile to get the rhythm a little bit. With every shift I take Scott Laughton Jersey , I’ll get better and better,” Galchenyuk said. “I tried to stay calm as I could even though there was a lot of excitement. … You can’t wait to get out there and play with the guys.”Coyotes starting goalie Antti Raanta sat out Tuesday with flu-like symptoms and could return, although backup Darcy Kuemper played well in his absence, allowing a goal in the first minute of the game but none after that. He made 35 saves.“When they (his teammates) are playing like that, it makes it a lot easier,” Kuemper said. “I was trying to do my part, and that was our whole mindset as a team. Everybody do their job.”The Canucks and Coyotes split four games last season, all of which were played in the final six weeks of the season.
