Phone g4s sacramento. I am a supporter of Independent Films. As a result, I've seen a lot of them, some good, some not so good. Fred Paskiewicz's "Aliens & Gufors" is a GOOD ONE! For those of you reading this, if you think it's easy to make an independent film about aliens, try it sometime. It ain't easy! Mr. Paskiewicz clearly put a great deal of time and effort into this production and it shows. The characters are likable, with winning performances from the whole cast, the special effects are impressive and fun at the same time. remember this is a light comedy. and some of the lines are laugh out loud funny as well.

I suppose I enjoyed this film because it reminded me of what I went through. Being an independent film maker when you have an idea you want to see displayed on the screen is a monumental undertaking, especially when you are working mostly alone. Let's review what it's like: getting 'almost actors or non-actors' to do what you want them to do on camera; writing a good story line and descent dialogue that isn't absurd; spending 16-hour days in the editing room; finding a location and working with what you've got; production of the myriad logistics and things that 'never seem to go right' and keeping focus and not giving up. What do you have in a small town? A cop, a couple of eccentric crazy people, the three girls at the diner and some wannabe main characters who are involved in some bizarre endeavor. There's usually little money and most people are working because they want to see it happen despite not getting paid. It's really what it's all about in the first place! I thought the director/producer did an OK job and the 'actors' tried hard and the storyline sically. What more can you ask for? They're fun to make and in its own small well worth the exhausting time put in! Kudos to everybody involved.
