While the score certainly isn’t very pretty, I don’t think things are quite as bleak as a 29-point loss might otherwise suggest. The truth is, the Chargers starters played pretty well on both sides of the ball. The offense, in particular, put together two solid drives against a talented and well-coached New Orleans defense – even if one ended when Rivers failed to connect with Mike Williams on a fourth-and-goal jump ball. Meanwhile, the first team defense intercepted Drew Brees and limited the Saints to a touchdown and two field goals in three red zone trips.Let’s take a look at some of the things that stood out to me – both good and bad – in Saturday’s loss to the Saints:When in doubt, run left: Mike Pouncey, Dan Feeney, and Russell Okung look like a major strength for this offense. Austin Ekeler ran the ball six times for 50 yards during the first two drives Youth Mike Williams Jersey , including four carries for 38 yards behind the left side of the line. Pouncey, Feeney, and Okung didn’t just control the line of scrimmage, they owned it, and Ken Whisenhunt wasn’t the least bit shy about leaning on them. This is going to be a fun group to watch during the regular season.Austin Ekeler – RB1?: With Melvin Gordon unavailable on Saturday, Austin Ekeler started the game and was the focal point of each of the Chargers’ first two drives. Ken Whisenhunt called Ekeler’s number nine times in the team’s first seventeen offensive plays and was rewarded with 63 total yards. While I’m half-kidding when I suggest Ekeler is RB1, his vision, burst, elusiveness, and hands out of the backfield might have him ready to take on a much larger role this year. He looked fantastic.A glimpse of things to come?: The Chargers’ first drive may have revealed a new, more aggressive attitude on the part of head coach Anthony Lynn. Faced with a fourth-and-goal from the Saints four-yard line, Lynn eschewed a chip-shot field goal in favor of a jump ball for Mike Williams. Granted, Williams didn’t get open and the Chargers failed to convert, but it’s pretty telling that Lynn opted to go for it on fourth down instead of kicking the ball with a somewhat murky kicking competition taking place in camp. It seems like a big vote of confidence for Mike Williams in what has been a preseason of baby steps for the former #7 overall pick.Detrez is the man: There is little doubt at this point that Detrez Newsome is the favorite to win the third-string running back job. While his stats on Saturday certainly weren’t eye-popping, he finished with 14 touches for 44 yards and an eight-yard touchdown run. Newsome strikes me as the ideal complement to Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler and, for the first time in years, the Chargers appear to have a dynamic and versatile three-man backfield. Detrez earned it.JJ just misses: The fact that Travis Benjamin and Desmond King served as the primary return men on Saturday probably suggests Jones won’t make the roster. JJ simply isn’t an NFL wide receiver and, even with his potential as a return specialist http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-drew-kaser-jersey , I the coaches likely can’t justify keeping seven receivers if the seventh man can’t at least break camp as the primary return specialist. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if the team tries to protect him by including him on the initial 53-man roster with the intention of transferring him to the practice squad after the rest of the league has announced their practice squads. He could serve as a “placeholder” for an Antonio Gates signing, assuming the team ultimately brings him in.It’s Gates time: The Chargers played a third straight game in which their tight ends struggled to contribute as targets in the passing game. Sean Culkin caught his lone target for a seven-yard gain, but the group was otherwise invisible in the passing game. While I don’t think adding Antonio Gates changes much for this position group in terms of consistent playmaking ability, I do think his signing is probably inevitable. With that in mind, let’s get it done, already, so we can stop talking about it.Let Pooh Bear eat: Derwin James started his first game as a Charger and celebrated with an interception, a couple big hits, and a couple third down stops. Derwin showed a bit of everything you look for in a free safety when he intercepted Drew Brees on the third play of the game, including anticipation, range and electric ball skills. He’s arguably the best athlete on the team and possesses the best natural ball skills of any safety on the roster. He’s also the only safety on the roster capable of making that play. Stick James back there and good things will happen.White-out at WILL:Derwin James wasn’t the only rookie to start his first game as a Charger, as fourth-round pick Kyzir White got the nod at weakside linebacker (WILL). While he didn’t make any splash plays, White looked really good in man coverage, made a couple stops in the run game, and didn’t miss any tackles. I think he needs to work on how he reacts to play-action (a little too aggressive) and he seemed to be thinking a little out there, but it wasn’t bad for a rookie who missed the second preseason game.Brown on the bubble?: Jatavis Brown looked lost against the Saints. After making consecutive run stops to start the third quarter, Brown promptly missed his next seven tackle attempts Joe Barksdale Jersey , including an embarrassing whiff on Taysom Hill at the goal line. His reads were inconsistent, his angles were extremely poor and he was routinely beat to the edge. He looked even worse than Dwight Lowery did against the 49ers last preseason – right before he got cut. While I’m not totally convinced he’ll get cut, I think next week could ultimately decide Jatavis’ fate.Mager is in: It’s becoming pretty apparent that Craig Mager has the fifth cornerback spot on lockdown. He started the game opposite Michael Davis on the boundary, then played well into the third quarter while rotating inside to the slot. Mager went a third straight game without being targeted and I thought he played with solid technique and was generally in good position. Outside of eating a nasty stiff arm from Michael Thomas in the second quarter, Craig didn’t do anything to make me think he’s going to relinquish his hold on what figures to be the fifth and final spot on the depth chart.Chargers eliminate the dirty laundry: I thought the team executed more efficiently in all three phases of the game against the Saints and, most importantly, they more or less eliminated the mental and physical errors that led to 28 penalties over the first two preseason games. Granted, some of that is the direct result of getting the starters extended snaps, but the team definitely played its cleanest preseason game to date. In addition to avoiding major injuries, that’s the best possible outcome from the third preseason game.Well, those are my notes from the Chargers third preseason game. Overall, I thought the starters played pretty well on offense and defense, the majority of the camp battles have come to their conclusion, and the Bolts cleaned up the stupid mistakes they made through the first two preseason games. All in all, it was a pretty successful dress rehearsal for the starters. Don’t even get me started on the backups. Custom New York Giants Jerseys

TAMPA Authentic Wil Lutz Jersey , Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay’s bid to escape a deep hole and climb back into the race for a NFC playoff berth is all but over. The Buccaneers (5-8) weren’t eliminated by Sunday’s 28-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints, however the team is assured of finishing no better than .500 after sputtering offensively and wearing down defensively after holding a 14-3 halftime lead.Oh, and special teams contributed to the demise, too.Cairo Santos missed two field goals, one after Jason Pierre-Paul recovered Drew Brees‘ fumble deep in Saints territory and a blocked punt led to a touchdown that sparked New Orleans’ rally.“That was a momentum change. We had other chances, but that was definitely a big play,” coach Dirk Koetter said.“Our defense was on the field way too much in the second half. I think we had 16, almost 17 minutes of time of possession in the first half, and like 12 in the second half,” Koetter added. “That’s not going to work against the Saints.”It didn’t help, either, that Tampa Bay was penalized 10 times for 84 yards, including an unnecessary roughness penalty against center Ryan Jensen late in the second quarter that led to a heated verbal exchange with quarterback Jameis Winston. Both players said the dustup wasn’t a big deal.“Families fight. Me and Jameis are highly competitive guys and we just had simple words,” Jensen said. “We talked about it. We got cooled down and talked about it and everything is good.”Winston was 18 of 38 passing for 213 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on Tampa Bay’s final play. He was sacked four times and led the Bucs in rushing for the second straight week with 47 yards on five attempts.“Brothers have disagreements,” the quarterback said. “It wasn’t that much.”Koetter said he hadn’t talked about the situation with either player. The coach said Winston wasn’t as sharp as the previous two weeks in victories over San Francisco and Carolina.Koetter noted, however, that Winston did a good job of protecting the football. The problem was New Orleans defense was on its game after giving up a long TD drive to begin the game.“Jameis was under duress all day. Jameis got hit too many times. You can’t have your quarterback hit that many times whether it’s scrambling, running, four sacks,” Koetter said. “I mean, you can’t get hit that much.”In addition to outscoring the Bucs 25-0 in the second half, the Saints limited the NFL’s No. 1-ranked offense to 79 yards after halftime. Most of that yardage came on Tampa Bay’s last drive, which ended with an interception with 1 second left.“We have to finish better, execute better,” Winston said.“It wasn’t good enough in the second half. We’ve just got to take ownership of that Womens Cameron Jordan Jersey ,” tackle Demar Dotson said.“Going into the second half I thought that we had an opportunity to put a fork into them,” Dotson added, “but they got a boost of confidence from a missed field goal, a punt blocked.” The 2018 New Orleans Saints (13-2) have lived a charmed life: after losing their first game of the season, the Saints rattled off 10 wins in a row. Following a 13-10 stumble in Dallas, the Saints then proceeded to win two divisional games in a row (Tampa Bay, Carolina), giving themselves a clear route to the number one seed in the NFC. The Saints needed only one win this afternoon against the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6-1) in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to secure that all-important first round bye in the playoffs. Here is how the game unfolded:1st HALF*1st QuarterThe Steelers win the toss and take the ball to open the game. After gaining a first down with a 15-yard pass on the first play of the game to JuJu Smith-Schuster, the Steelers stall and punt.Following a touchback, the Saints start their first possession of the game at their own 20-yard line. Saints open the game with two straight runs by Mark Ingram to gain a first down. On the third play of the drive, right tackle Ryan Ramczyk hurt his ankle. For the Saints, the injuries on the offensive line continue to rotate. After yet another first down, Taysom Hill throws deep to the end zone and is picked off, the Steelers return the ball to their 40-yard line. Sean Payton getting extra cute again, and it comes back to burn him.The Steelers eventually stall at the Saints’ 31-yard line and Chris Boswell converts a 49-yard field goal to give the Steelers a 3-0 lead.On their second possession of the game, the Saints’ start at their 25-yard line. Saints get into Steelers’ territory on a 28-yard pass to Michael Thomas. On 4th-and-1 from the Steelers’ 34-yard line, the Saints go for it. Brees launches a pass to Alvin Kamara in the end zone and a pass interference is called on Joe Haden. The Saints’ get the ball at the one-yard line and Mark Ingram rumbles into the end zone. After the PAT, the Saints lead the Steelers 7-3. With that touchdown, Mark Ingram passed Deuce McAllister for the most rushing touchdowns in Saints’ history.Steelers take over at their 10-yard line and move the ball up near midfield and Ben Roethlisberger finds his tight end Vance McDonald inside the Saints’ red zone for 49 yards as the first quarter ends.*2nd QuarterSteelers start the quarter at the Saints’ 13-yard line and on third-and-9 from the 12-yard line, Roethlisberger throws and incompletion and Chris Boswell makes a 30-yard field goal, narrowing the Saints’ lead to 7-6.Saints take over at their own 25-yard line after the kickoff. On the first play of the drive, Drew Brees hits Ted Ginn Jr. for 15 yards, in his first game since week 7. On third-and-8, Brees finds Michael Thomas. On the play, left tackle Terron Armstead re-injured his pectoral muscle. Saints move deep into Steelers territory on a pass interference play on Morgan Burnett. On a 3rd-and-2 play from Pittsburgh’s 8-yard line, Alvin Kamara runs into the end zone for a touchdown Authentic Ted Ginn Jr Jersey , giving the Saints a 14-6 lead.Steelers take over at their 25-yard line after the touchback on the kickoff, but go three-and-out under heavy pressure from the Saints’ defense and have to punt. Saints fair-catch the ball at their own 35-yard lineSaints get Terron Armstead back on the drive, after the left tackle had gotten hurt a few plays earlier. After gaining one first down, the Saints stall near midfield and punt for the first time of the day, pinning the Steelers at their 3-yard line. The Steelers run on the first two plays of the drive, gaining 8 yards and on third down, Ben Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown for 28 yards. Steelers get into Saints’ territory almost solely on the arms of Roethlisberger. As the two-minute warning hits, the Steelers face a 3rd-and-11 from the Saints’ 39-yard line.Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown for a first down to keep the drive going. On 3rd-and-9 from the Saints’ 23-yard line, Eli Apple is called for a pass interference giving the Steelers the ball at New Orleans’ 2-yard line. Roethlisberger finds Jaylen Samuels for a touchdown and convert the two-point conversion with Eli Rogers to tie the game at 14.Saints take over at their 25-yard line with 40 seconds left and drive to the Steelers’ 25-yard line in the blink of an eye, the drive included a 32-yard catch-and-run by Alvin Kamara. With seven seconds left, Wil Lutz makes a 43-yard field goal, giving the Saints back the lead at 17-14. With that field goal, Wil Lutz has made 26 straight field goals, a Saints’ franchise record.*2nd HALF*3rd QuarterWith the Steelers having deferred to the second half, New Orleans receives the kickoff and after a touchback, Saints take over at their 25-yard line. On the second play of the drive, Drew Brees finds Alvin Kamara for a 42-yard catch-and-run pass into Steelers’ territory. Saints move to the edge of the red zone and into it on a run play by Alvin Kamara. Saints convert a crucial third-and-4 play to Michael Thomas to get into a first-and-goal situation. On third-and-goal from Pittsburgh’s one-yard line, Alvin Kamara plunges into the end zone for his second rushing touchdown of the game, and the Saints lead 24-14 after the PAT. Steelers take over at their 25-yard line after the kickoff’s touchback. Pittsburgh moves into Saints’ territory in two plays by Ben Roethlisberger to Smith-Schuster. Steelers get deep into the red zone on pass and screen plays. On third-and-goal from the Saints’ 3-yard line, Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown for a touchdown, bringing the Steelers within 3, at 24-21.Saints start at their 25-yard line after the touchback. Brees is sacked by T.J. Watt for the Steelers’ first sack of the game, and face a third-and-16 at their own 36-yard line, Brees gets sacked again and the Saints have to punt.Steelers fair-catch the punt at their own 34-yard line and on one play, Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown at the Saints’ 40-yard line. On the next play, Big Ben finds Smith-Schuster in the Saints’ red zone. Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown again for a touchdown Womens Ken Crawley Jersey , giving the Steelers a 28-24 lead.Saints take over at their 25-yard line, with 1:02 left in the third quarter. and face a 3rd-and-2 at their own 33-yard line as the quarter ends.*4th QuarterBrees’ pass to Keith Kirkwood falls incomplete and the Saints have to punt yet again, which the Steelers fair-catch at their 25-yard line. Steelers use the running game effectively to midfield and into Saints’ territory. On 3rd-and-2 from the Saints’ 34-yard line, the Steelers are stopped and Pittsburgh’s running back Stevan Ridley appears to fumble the ball, punched out by safety Kurt Coleman.Saints recover the ball at their 35-yard line. Brees on the third play of the drive, finds Keith Kirkwood for 23 yards to the Steelers’ 30-yard line.On the drive, left guard Andrus Peat replaces Terron Armstead at left tackle. On third-and-10 from the Steelers’ 32-yard line, Brees’ pass falls incomplete. Wil Lutz’s 50-yard field goal attempt is blocked and the Steelers take over at their own 37-yard line.On the second play of the drive, Demario Davis sacks Roethlisberger, forcing a 3rd-and-14 and the Steelers go three-and-out. On 4th-and-5, the Steelers go for a fake punt but do not reach the line of gain, giving the Saints the ball back at the Steelers’ 46-yard line.Brees goes into four-minutes offense mode with 4:06 left in the game. On third-and-10 from the Steelers’ 34-yard line, Brees finds Michael Thomas for 8 yards the Saints face a 4th-and-2 at Pittsburgh’s 26-yard line as the two-minute warning hits.On 4th-and-2, Brees throws towards Michael Thomas and the pass falls incomplete, but a flag is thrown for pass interference, giving the Saints a first down at Pittsburgh’s 22-yard line. On 4th-and-15, Roethlisberger finds Antonio Brown for a first down, keeping the drive alive.Steelers get into Saints’ territory.

Since 2017 Womens Max Unger Jersey , the NFL has embraced player celebrations, ending decades of No Fun League attitude and turning it into a marketing ploy. But there’s still a glitch or two that the league needs to iron out.The biggest comes in the shape of a large red kettle that the Cowboys put in their end zone every Thanksgiving, leaving it there through the end of the regular season to promote the efforts of the Salvation Army to raise money for the less fortunate. Though the kettle is clearly part of the field, the NFL has fined Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for depositing $21 into the kettle following a touchdown, and for later depositing quarterback Dak Prescott into it. (Prescott got a warning letter for his involvement in the stunt.)Contrast that with 2016, when Elliott jumped into the kettle but didn’t receive a fine — even though the league had yet to change the rules to promote celebrations.Technically Authentic DeMario Davis Jersey , yes, the use of the kettle as a prop violates the language of the rulebook, since only the ball can be used as a prop when celebrating. So why not change the rule?More importantly, what’s the reason for not changing the rule? There’s nothing about putting cash or teammates in the kettle that creates animosity between teams or otherwise sends a message that the league shouldn’t want to send. Instead, it promotes giving to the cause the Cowboys embraced years ago, with the kettle now in its 21st year of on-field use.Hell Authentic Drew Brees Jersey , why not put a kettle in every end zone at every stadium, space permitting? If the NFL wants a free and easy way to be a responsible corporate citizen, the active incorporation of the Salvation Army kettle into touchdown celebrations at every NFL venue would do the trick. At a minimum, let players who play in Dallas have some fun with the kettle, including the players from the visiting team.聽Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore produced $23 from his pants last Thursday and dropped it into the kettle. Hopefully, he won’t be fined for it. Plenty of scoring and close games are good for business in the NFL.Teams are scoring at a record pace. The number of points (4 http://www.neworleanssaintsteamonline.com/vonn-bell-jersey ,489), touchdowns (504) and touchdown passes (328) are the most in league history through six weeks. And, games are coming down to the end.Sixty-nine percent of all games (64 of 93) have been within one score in the fourth quarter. A total of 54 games have been decided by one score 鈥?eight points or less. That's tied for the most in league history at this point. There have been 28 games decided by three points or fewer, second-most at this point. At least one game has reached overtime the first six weeks for the first time since extra time was instituted in 1974."I don't think there has been a better time to be an NFL fan," Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday. "The quality of the games and the enjoyment that comes with that, I hear it from the fans all the time 鈥?that is No. 1 for them. From our standpoint http://www.neworleanssaintsteamonline.com/tyeler-davison-jersey , we look at this as a great moment for us, the tremendous growth and the tremendous popularity of our game."One of the key factors contributing to the scoring output is the emphasis on calling defensive holding penalties. The total is up to 36 from 11 through six weeks last season. The increase in roughing-the-passer penalties and eliminating use of the helmet to initiate hits are also important factors.League officials also point to an influx of talented young quarterbacks. However, scoring could taper off once defenses make adjustments and weather could affect games later in the season. Here's a look inside more numbers going into Week 7:MORE THIELEN: Vikings receiver Adam Thielen has at least 100 yards receiving in each of Minnesota's first six games this season. Only Charley Hennigan had more with seven in 1961 for Houston. Thielen's 58 catches lead the NFL and he's on pace for 155 receptions.BREEZING UP: Drew Brees broke Peyton Manning's career record for yards passing last week and now is one TD pass away from joining Manning (539), Brett Favre (508) and Tom Brady (501) in the 500 TD club. The Saints visit the Ravens on Sunday.CHASING LT: Rams running back Todd Gurley has 11 TDs rushing and receiving. He's on pace for 29. Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson set the record with 31 in 2006 for the Chargers.THE KICKING GOAT: Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is 10 points away from breaking Morten Anderson's scoring record. Anderson had 2,544 points on 565 field goals and 849 extra points. Vinatieri has 2,535 points and already broke Anderson's record for most field goals. He's at 570 and counting.PAT'S STATS: Patrick Mahomes has 18 TD passes in his first seven career games. Only Kurt Warner (21) and Deshaun Watson (20) had more through eight.BIG PLAY TY: Mahomes' teammate on the Chiefs Authentic Patrick Robinson Jersey , wide receiver Tyreek Hill, already has 14 career TDs of 50 yards or more.

The Rams have turned the opening quarter of the NFL's regular season into their own version of "La La Land."The Rams have gotten off to a dominant start. They are 4-0 and have outscored their opponents by a league-leading combined 73 points so far this season and have the NFL's most potent offense Austin Carr Jersey Salute to Service , averaging 468.5 yards a game. All of that adds up to the Rams repeating as the unanimous top team in the latest AP Pro32 poll .For the second consecutive week, the Rams received all 12 first-place votes and 384 points in balloting Tuesday by media members who regularly cover the NFL.The Rams leave Hollywood, heading out on the road for the next three weeks, as they look to stay perfect."The Rams are 4-0 for the first time since 2001, which is fitting, because (coach) Sean McVay and (quarterback) Jared Goff are putting on their own great offensive show Benjamin Watson Jersey ," said Jenny Vrentas of The Monday Morning Quarterback. The Kansas City Chiefs, who overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to top the Denver Broncos 27-23 on Monday night, remained at No. 2."Patrick Mahomes does things every week that leave you awe-inspired," Newsday's Bob Glauber said. "A modern-day Brett Favre, Mahomes brought back the Chiefs against the Broncos with some of the best playmaking you'll ever see from an NFL quarterback."The Jacksonville Jaguars inched up a spot to No. 3 after routing the New York Jets 31-12. The Jaguars face the Chiefs on Sunday in the top matchup of Week 5.Running back Leonard Fournette might not play for the Jaguars because of a hamstring injury. He already has missed 2陆 games with the injury."Worries about Fournette's hammy," Fox Sports' John Czarnecki said. The New Orleans Saints also moved up a spot to No. 4 after beating the New York Giants 33-18 and will close out the week against another NFC East opponent when they host Washington on Monday night."As Drew Brees closes in on the NFL record book Eli Apple Jersey , the Saints are rolling since that Week 1 shocker against Tampa Bay," said Ira Kaufman of Fox 13 in Tampa, Florida. The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, tied atop the AFC North at 3-1, both made major moves in the poll. The Ravens jumped four spots to No. 5 after topping the rival Pittsburgh Steelers 26-14 on Sunday night. The Bengals climbed six spots to No. 6 after rallying past the Atlanta Falcons 37-36 on Andy Dalton's TD pass to A.J. Green with 7 seconds remaining. The New England Patriots moved up three spots to No. 7 after pounding the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins 38-7. The Patriots (2-2) are the highest-ranked team with a .500 record. They will open Week 5 on Thursday night, when they host Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. The AFC East-leading Dolphins (3-1) plummeted nine spots to No. 15 and are the lowest-ranked team with a winning record. The Chicago Bears moved up eight spots to No. 8 after dominating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-10 as Mitchell Trubisky threw six touchdown passes. The NFC North-leading Bears have a bye this week before facing Miami on Oct. 14."Not only are the Bears good now Authentic Kurt Coleman Jersey ," said Alex Marvez of The Sporting News. "The best is yet to come with Mitch Trubisky."The Carolina Panthers, who are coming off their bye week, slipped two spots to No. 9. They will host the Giants on Sunday. The Tennessee Titans (3-1), who share first place in the AFC South with the Jaguars, jumped up five spots to round out the top 10.

Death Womens Austin Carr Jersey , taxes and Ravens kicker Justin Tucker on extra points are no longer the three guarantees in life.Tucker did not miss any of the 220 extra points he tried in the first six years and six games of his career and he didn’t miss the first two he tried against the Saints on Sunday. That meant everyone started preparing for overtime when John Brown caught a touchdown with 24 seconds left in the game, but Tucker missed and the Saints held on for a 24-23 win.Another Ravens streak came to an end Sunday as well. They didn’t give up a touchdown in the second half of their first six games this season and they got though the third quarter with that streak alive and a 17-7 lead against the Saints.New Orleans figured out a way to break through, however. Alvin Kamara capped a 12-play drive with a two-yard touchdown run, Drew Brees hit Michael Thomas for the 501st touchdown pass of his career to cap another 12-play jaunt and the Saints moved to 6-1 after the late scare. The victory means Brees has now beaten every NFL team in his career. The Saints came into the game as the league’s highest-scoring team, but the first three quarters suggested that the Ravens defense would be building on last week’s shutout win. Long drives by both teams meant that the Saints only had four possessions before the end of the third quarter and they had not gotten any points on their game-opening 20-play drive because of a Taysom Hill fumble.Things began to click as the third quarter wound down, though, and the Saints remained sharp through the final 15 minutes of their comeback win. Their late scoring drives were a mix of Brees passing and a three-headed running attack. Kamara, Hill and Mark Ingram combined for 131 yards on 35 carries as the Saints never went away from the run after falling behind.Joe Flacco struggled in the fourth quarter before rallying with six straight completions on the final touchdown drive and finished the day 23-of-39 for 279 yards and two touchdowns. He also gave way to Lamar Jackson for a red zone snap that resulted in Jackson’s first NFL touchdown run in the first half and was surely looking ahead to a chance to keep things rolling in overtime. Thanks to Tucker’s shocking miss, Flacco will have to wait a lot longer to get back on the field. Matt Nagy is making an impressive first impression as an NFL head coach.Nagy has helped develop second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky into a solid NFL starter, convinced Vic Fangio to stay on as defensive coordinator, and has the Chicago Bears in position to earn their first playoff berth since 2010 in his first year on the job.For doing all that, Nagy was picked as having done the NFL's best coaching job in 2018 in voting released Friday by a panel of 10 football writers for The Associated Press.Nagy received seven of the 10 first-place votes for his work leading the Bears (9-4) to the top of the NFC North behind an improved offense led by Trubisky and a fierce defense spearheaded by preseason acquisition Khalil Mack."(Nagy's) overseen a total turnaround of the Bears in just his first year as an NFL head coach, taking a team that hadn't finished above .500 since 2012 and turning them into the best of the NFC North," said Washington-based Howard Fendrich, who voted Nagy first. "He's an offensive guru who learned from former boss Andy Reid Youth Marcus Williams Jersey , and Chicago's play calling has been creative and fun 鈥?and overcome limitations at the QB spot to be good enough to let a superb defense lead the way."Seattle's Pete Carroll finished second in the voting for rebuilding the Seahawks on the fly following the departure of most key members from the Super Bowl-winning Legion of Boom defense. The Seahawks can clinch a playoff spot with a win this week despite losing key players Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, Kam Chancellor and Cliff Avril in the past year. Star safety Earl Thomas has also been sidelined most of the season, but it hasn't slowed down the Seahawks."For the second time, Carroll is retooling Seattle's roster," said New York-based Barry Wilner, who voted Carroll second behind Nagy. "Yet he's somehow improved the team in the first year of that rebuild. This is a textbook case of a coaches' heavy influence on a club's success."Carroll finished second despite not getting a first-place vote. The other coaches named No. 1 on ballots were Indianapolis first-year coach Frank Reich, who got one vote, and New England's Bill Belichick, who got two.Reich, who has helped a healthy Andrew Luck regain his top form, finished eighth overall. He wasn't even the top choice for the Colts, only getting the job after Josh McDaniels backed out shortly after Reich won the Super Bowl as offensive coordinator in Philadelphia."He took a team that went 4-12 last year, worked through a rough 1-5 start that could've easily turned into another losing season, and has them in playoff contention Womens Sheldon Rankins Jersey ," said Philadelphia-based Rob Maaddi, who voted Reich first. "Reich's success in Indy coupled with Philadelphia's offensive misery since his departure after the Super Bowl prove his value."Belichick, who has a record five Super Bowl titles, finished in ninth place despite getting two first-place votes. Some voters believed this year wasn't his best coaching job, but he still had strong support from others."Despite the "Miami Miracle", he has the Patriots on the verge of a 10th consecutive division title," New York-based Simmi Buttar said. "Aside from quarterback of course, this is hardly the most talented roster in Foxborough, yet it would surprise no one if they once again reached the Super Bowl."Belichick was one of seven coaches named as a top 10 coach on all 10 ballots, joining Nagy, Carroll, third-place Andy Reid of Kansas City, fifth-place Sean McVay of the Rams, sixth-place Bill O'Brien of Houston, and seventh-place Sean Payton of New Orleans.Reid had the Chiefs tied for the most wins in the league through Week 14 after targeting quarterback Pat Mahomes in the 2017 draft and then cutting ties with longtime starter Alex Smith in the offseason to give Mahomes a chance.Mahomes has thrown a league-high 45 TD passes and is the latest quarterback to thrive under Reid's tutelage."Sure Womens Vonn Bell Jersey , the Chiefs were expected to be good this year, but Reid went all in with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback 鈥?and this year's squad could be the veteran coach's best chance at a Super Bowl since his days in Philadelphia," New York-based Dennis Wazsak Jr. said. The Chargers' Anthony Lynn was on nine of 10 ballots and finished fourth overall, while John Harbaugh of Baltimore came in 10th place. The rankings:1. Matt Nagy, Bears2. Pete Carroll, Seahawks3. Andy Reid, Chiefs4. Anthony Lynn, Chargers5. Sean McVay, Rams6. Bill O'Brien, Texans7. Sean Payton, Saints8. Frank Reich, Colts9.

A look at some key fantasy questions going into Week 4:IS THIS AS GOOD AS IT GETS FOR ANDREW LUCK?Fantasy players rejoiced when Luck was finally cleared to play this preseason. Not only would they be able to once again roster the gritty QB Color Rush Benjamin Watson Jersey , but they also hoped a healthy Luck would help the production of his former top 5 fantasy receiver, T.Y. Hilton. Some suggested Luck had lost some of the old zip on his throws this preseason, and although he's made all three of his starts, his yards per pass attempt has dipped each week. Entering Week 4, Luck is QB21 in fantasy scoring. Is Luck throwing short quick passes to offset his still underachieving offensive line, or is he throwing short because Hilton is his only deep ball threat? The fact that backup QB Jacoby Brissett was called upon to throw the last Hail Mary pass in their last game is telling. We might not see the old Luck until next season, if ever.WHICH UNDER-THE-RADAR RB HAS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A BIG WEEK?Last week, rookie Kerryon Johnson became the first Lions RB to rush for over 100 yards since 2013. This week he has a very appealing matchup against the Cowboys, who will be without their big-time defensive playmaker, linebacker Sean Lee. He has been ruled out due to a hamstring strain. The Cowboys defense has been notoriously bad when Lee has been forced to miss games. Last season http://www.authenticsneworleanssaints.com/cheap-tyeler-davison-jersey , opposing RBs ran for almost 2 more yards per carry without Lee in the Cowboys lineup. Since 2015, the Cowboys have yielded almost 8 more points and 56 more yards per game when Lee has been sidelined. Johnson's carries per game have increased each week and without Lee, the Cowboys defense could let Johnson run for another 100-plus yards.CAN I START PATRIOTS RB SONY MICHEL EVERY WEEK?If you've been playing fantasy for a while you know how tough it is to figure out what type of offense the Patriots will run in any given week. Still, Michel carried the ball a career high 14 times last week, and with Rex Burkhead on injured reserve it would make sense for Michel, a first-round draft pick, to get the majority of the early-down work. But this is still the Patriots. Start him, but be aware that one week he could carry the ball 20 times and then the next week he might see reduced touches.WHICH UNDER-THE-RADAR WR HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR A BIG WEEK?Giants WR Sterling Shepard. The Saints have given up the most fantasy points per game to opposing WRs this season. With their best cornerback, Marshon Lattimore, likely covering Giants WR Odell Beckham Color Rush Sheldon Rankins Jersey , and heavily-targeted TE Evan Engram out this week, Shepard should see an uptick in opportunities. Shepard is already averaging just over six targets per game and he scored a TD off in a six-catch, 80 yard performance in Week 3.WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM KAREEM HUNT GOING FORWARD?Coming off a season in which he led all RBs in rushing yards (1,327), Kareem Hunt was the eighth RB selected in preseason drafts. However, in point-per-reception leagues, he is 22nd in scoring. Hunt is coming off a two-TD performance but his overall rushing numbers are way off the pace he set in his rookie season. His fantasy production is also suffering because new Chiefs starting QB Patrick Mahomes doesn't check down as much as former QB Alex Smith used to.With Mahomes behind center, it's going to be hard for Hunt to replicate his 53-catch 2017 season. Hunt is still far and away the Chiefs leader in rushing attempts (52). Hunt forced more missed tackles than any other RB last season and plays in a high-powered offense that executes the seventh-highest percentage of run plays. If you own him, keep him. If you don't, you might want to try to buy low on him.WHICH QBS SHOULD I CONSIDER STREAMING WEEKLY?If you're looking to stream quarterbacks it might be best to think two weeks ahead Youth Mark Ingram II Jersey , to ensure you're able to pick up the QB you want off the waiver wire. Unfortunately, this approach will force you to have to roster two QBs at a time and you may end up dropping a valuable player in the process. Denver's Case Keenum has taken a step back after a good Week 1. He's got two very good receivers in Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas and a good Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs, but his long-term favorable matchups are too few and far between.Miami's Ryan Tannehill squeaks by as a top 12 option for Week 4. The Dolphins have been running a creative offense and have some interesting weapons including Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant in their passing game. Joe Flacco is averaging 296 yards passing per game and the Ravens offense is ranked fifth and scoring 32 points per game. WR Michael Crabtree knows how to find the end zone and John Brown is healthy, scoring TDs and is a big-play threat.SHOULD I ADD BAKER MAYFIELD?It's OK to add the Cleveland quarterback off of the waiver wire if he is still available, but beware of starting rookie passers. Look at how Jets quarterback Sam Darnold has gone up and down. Mayfield has favorable matchups in five of his next seven starts. He zips the ball to his receivers and exudes confidence. Mayfield has excellent offensive weapons in Jarvis Landry, Antonio Callaway and David Njoku and he'll get them the ball. Just be careful. There'll be times, take Week 5 against the Ravens as a possibility, that he'll look like a rookie. The Saints were able to decimate a Cincinnati team 51-14, including 35 first half points Youth Alvin Kamara Jersey , and while the number of points scored is impressive, the 14 points allowed is even more eye popping for a defense that has struggled to slow down high flying offenses in the past. Here are some quick observations.Alex Anzalone Anzalone is starting to live up to the hype that he received when he was drafted in the 3rd round of last year’s draft. The talent was always there, but staying healthy was the problem. And thus far into the season he’s been able to stay on the field and contribute, including against the Bengals. He led the team in tackles with 5 and was able to add a sack late in the game while displaying adequate coverage. Between Anzalone, Demario Davis, and AJ Klein, the linebacker group continues to be a strength and should be for the next few years.Jake Roth-USA TODAY SportsYoung ContributorsSaints fans went on a roller-coaster of emotions this week that started with the signing of star receiver Dez Bryant— then ending the week with Bryant tearing his Achilles tendon. He was brought in to be a steady number 2 behind Michael Thomas, as the receiver with the second most catches entering Sunday’s match up was Tre’Quan Smith with a measly 12 receptions. Without him in the plans, rookies Dan Arnold and newly promoted Keith Kirkwood stepped up and contributed 4 catches for 70 yards. While those numbers aren’t eye-popping, steady contributions like this will help ease the pressure on Thomas and Kamara in the receiving game.Terron ArmsteadLeft tackle Terron Armstead went down early in the game with a shoulder injury http://www.authenticsneworleanssaints.com/cheap-ken-crawley-jersey , but luckily Jermon Bushrod filled in admirably and the offensive line didn’t see much drop off. Hopefully Armstead won’t be sidelined for long, but if he must miss extended time it’s nice to know the Saints have a capable veteran back-up to fill in. The Return of IngramMark Ingram may have returned from his suspension in week 5, but this week he looks to finally be hitting midseason form. Rushing for 104 yards on only 13 attempts and adding another 58 yards and a touchdown through the air, Ingram looks to be hitting his stride at the perfect time, heading into the latter part of the season.

The part of the story where we step back from the ledge Hi kids...how goes it?I know everyone is less than amused with what we saw from our intrepid heroes in purple on Saturday. It was a sloppy game http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com/cheap-sheldon-richardson-jersey , full of penalties and poor execution on offense. There were more injuries to the offensive line, the first team offense didn’t look anything close to ready for prime time, the first team defense couldn’t stop a screen pass, and special teams once again floundered. It doesn’t matter.**The new penalty rules matter, though. But that’s for another post.I mean, to an extent it does, but it really doesn’t. These are just nothing more than dress-rehearsal practices, featuring mostly understudies. The approach a team takes to a preseason game is different than a regular season. There is no game plan installation, there is no film study of the opponent. It is focused on player evaluations, and on practicing concepts, plays, and techniques that they’re learning in training camp, regardless of what the other team is doing on the field.I watch it to look for player development, and those are important things. Having the strongest 53 man roster possible helps win games. But I quit taking stock in preseason statistics and results from the first team players in 2005, unless one of those positions is up for grabs.‘Ted’, you’re thinking, ‘what in Odin’s name does 2005 have to do with anything?’Let’s travel back to the not too distant past, gang, for a quick walk down memory lane. At the end of the 2004 season, the Vikings traded away WR Randy Moss to the Oakland Raiders (aka the Last Red McCombs Eff You), signaling that the offensive torch had passed to QB Daunte Culpepper. Even without Moss, Culpepper said he ‘felt like a Jedi Knight’ running the Vikings offense. Daunte was coming off an MVP-caliber year in which he completed almost 70% of his passes, threw for over 4,700 yards, 39 TD’s, and only 11 interceptions. It’s an understandable quote to make in context during that time http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com/cheap-andrew-sendejo-jersey , so I won’t go into a whole diatribe of how the Jedi are literally the worst Special Operations force in the history of the Universe. I won’t mention that with all their collective psychic powers they were unable to detect that the Sith Lord of Sith Lords was literally down the street from their headquarters, impersonating a senator and getting ready to stage a coup. Nor will I mention that for all their greatness, and how much they were ‘loved’ and ‘respected’, NO ONE in the Republic’s Army gave them a heads up about Order 66...NOR did they detect such a plan through their ‘superior’ psychic abilities. No, I won’t mention that the most overrated Special Operations force in history got wiped out in about two hours because they were completely caught off guard, and when they got ambushed, they brought light sabers to a blaster fight. Good job, good effort Jedis. No, I won’t discuss any of that, because that wasn’t the point of Daunte’s quote. But it’s ironic that when he referenced the Jedi back then how true he was in referring to the 2005 team, because woof...that 2005 team got ambushed and wiped out.In the preseason, though, the Vikings new-look offense was lights out. Culpepper went an incredible 36-44 for 520 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. They looked close to unstoppable, and people thought the Vikings were going to be a tough out in the NFC North. Then the regular season started, and the Vikes were absolutely horrible, starting 2-5. They were blown out in three of those losses by more than 20 points, the offense had issues running and throwing the ball, and during post Love Boat 38-13 humiliation in Carolina, Culpepper had his knee destroyed. Brad Johnson took over for the rest of the year, and the next season Daunte was in Miami. If you want an even more recent history, let’s go back to just last year. With a new look offensive line, and exciting rookie Dalvin Cook to replace long time fixture Adrian Peterson, it was expected Sam Bradford the Vikings offense would get on track, and we’d see a lot more downfield passing. Then LT Riley Reiff got hurt early White Danielle Hunter Jersey , much like Mike Remmers has this year, and missed most of the preseason. The offense didn’t look in sync at all, and if anything seemed to get worse with each game. There was a fair amount of consternation throughout the land, and a lot of folks thought that the offense was going to be another big mess, like it had been in 2016.Then they came out and lit it up against the Saints in their first game of the year. And even after they had to absorb the losses of Bradford and Cook less than a full quarter into the season, the Vikings still fielded a top 10 offense, won the division, and advanced to the NFC Championship game.I’m not worried yet, and you shouldn’t be, either! Are there things to keep an eye on, though? Sure. No one is happy Remmers and Pat Elflein have missed most/all of camp, and that’s giving the offensive line a mini-vibe right out of 2016. That said, assuming Elflein and Remmers start practicing this week, and they should, that group should settle down and the Vikings can concentrate on finding a LG. There are things to like about Danny Isidora, Tom Compton, and Aviante Collins, guys who are considered the top candidates for the job, and RT Brian O’Neill is flashing in camp as well. Finally, if there has been a surprise on the offensive line, it’s been C ‘Yukon’ Cornelius Edison. He has played pretty well under the circumstances, and I’ll be stunned if he doesn’t make the final 53. I guess my point is that the overall depth the Vikings have on the line is immeasurably better now than it was in 2016, or even last year, and we won’t have to worry about anything like this anymore. At least not on darn near every snap, anyway:Folks if you look up what ‘addition by subtraction’ means, you’ll get this clip of Matt Kalil. Anyway White Brett Jones Jersey , the o-line needs to get settled and work together as a unit for a couple weeks before the first regular season game and if they can do that, I don’t have a lot of worries here. The only other nagging concern I have is at kicker. Most of you already know the Vikings ended the kicking competition by releasing Kai Forbath a little while ago and handing the job to rookie Daniel Carlson. It’s not that I don’t have confidence in Carlson per se...it’s just that kicker memories conjure up a post-Apocalyptic Vikings Dystopia, where everything is dead, including my feelings and my football soul. Forbath wasn’t ‘Blair Walsh with the yips’ bad for the Vikings, and he made what was arguably the most clutch field goal in team history against the Saints in the divisional playoffs last year. You have to make extra points as well, I get it, and Forbath missed way more of those than he should have. Which is why Daniel Carlson is the kicker today, and not Forbath.I’m just worried that Minnesota will need to make a big field goal in a really pivotal point in the season...and we’re going to trot out a rookie to make that kick. I’m not saying he can’t, I’m just saying I’d be more comfortable with a veteran right now. Hopefully, he’ll change my mind in short order. But overall, there’s a lot more to like with thisteam than there is to be worried about. The offense should be okay, the defense looks fierce, and the pieces are in place for a serious run at the Super Bowl. So, let’s step back from the ledge for now, and let the rest of the preseason play itself out.And then after the first regular season loss, let us all lock arms and jump off into the abyss together. Kirk Cousins took the third-and-5 shotgun snap with 3 minutes left and Minnesota holding an eight-point lead.He decided to run for it.The San Francisco defense converged as Cousins crossed his 40-yard line, so the most expensive player in Vikings history lowered his head as he tried to power his way past the first-down marker.Cousins took a shoulder to the back from 49ers linebacker Elijah Lee as he tumbled to the turf and came up just short, a dangerous way for a franchise quarterback to try to move the chains, but his determination to experience victory in his Vikings debut on Sunday afternoon was not to be reasoned with."Hey, when the game's on the line, we're trying to get the first down. Go for it," coach Mike Zimmer said. "I'm all in."Cousins passed for two touchdowns and the Vikings forced four turnovers, fueling a 24-16 win over the 49ers in the season opener that stuck Jimmy Garoppolo with his first loss in eight games as an NFL starting quarterback .The Vikings actually kept that late drive alive by a 49ers neutral zone infraction penalty on fourth-and-1, before punting four plays later. Harrison Smith's interception, the third by the Vikings against Garoppolo in the second half, sealed the game with 1:35 remaining.Asked afterward about that head-first hustle Youth Linval Joseph Jersey , Cousins acknowledged the risk of such a play and said he might have been better served with a stutter-step or some kind of move to try to make Lee miss."We had played too hard at that point to just slide early and give up on that," Cousins said.Cousins completed 20 of 36 passes for 244 yards without a turnover. He faced plenty of pressure, highlighted by DeForest Buckner and his 2陆 sacks, and there were a handful of awkward-looking plays produced by the Vikings. Cousins was right on target at just the right times , though, delivering several clutch throws in traffic including the scoring passes to Stefon Diggs in the second quarter and Kyle Rudolph in the third quarter."That's NFL football. I think that if you're not really accurate and you don't have that confidence to let it rip, you're going to be holding the ball and getting sacked, you're going to be spraying it everywhere," Cousins said. "If you're waiting for guys to be open, you're going to be waiting a long time."Cousins, who signed a three-year, $84 million, fully guaranteed contract with the Vikings this spring, clearly savored his first regular season contest at U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Vikings are 15-3, including the playoffs since it opened. The last player to emerge from the tunnel during pregame introductions, Cousins said the honor was undeserved and should have been reserved for Diggs, wide receiver Adam Thielen, left tackle Riley Reiff or running back Dalvin Cook."It's just an example of the team welcoming me with open arms, and I'm so grateful for this opportunity that I've been given," Cousins said, "and I just want to make good on it with every chance I get."Here are some other key angles that emerged from the game:GETTING TO GAROPPOLO: Garoppolo finished 15 for 33 for 261 yards and a touchdown pass to rookie Dante Pettis late in the third quarter, but the Vikings sacked him three times. Mike Hughes returned the first pick 28 yards for a score."There's not one word to put on it. We went against a very good defense, and we all didn't play as good as we could," 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. "Lots of quarterbacks struggle against that defense. Jimmy did some good things, but by no means was he perfect."COMEBACK COMPLETE: Cook had 16 carries for 40 yards and six catches for 55 yards Youth Anthony Barr Jersey , a productive return to live action after tearing the ACL in his left knee about 11 months earlier. He lost a fumble at the San Francisco 29 after spinning and muscling his way through a crowd of defenders for a 15-yard gain.Cook declared his knee and body fit for a full season, but his mind was also on his family. His uncle and childhood confidant, Anthony Jones, a running back for Florida International University, was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Miami on Thursday. Cook's grandmother raised him and Jones, her son."Just going out there, competing, playing my heart out, that's what he wanted," Cook said.KITTLE'S DROP: Garoppolo and the 49ers had their hands full against the league's leading defense of 2017, losing wide receiver Marquise Goodwin to a first-quarter quadriceps injury and two right guards to foot injuries. They had success rolling Garoppolo out on misdirection plays, and tight end George Kittle was the biggest beneficiary with five catches for 90 yards. The one he didn't make stood out. Wide open up the seam, Kittle had what would've been a 30-yard completion fall off his fingers at midfield. The third-down interception by Hughes came on the next play to give the Vikings a 17-3 lead."It didn't end the way we wanted," Kittle said, "but I feel like we definitely had some momentum going and if we can do that we'll be a pretty good offense."DEFENSE DIGS IN: The 49ers gave Garoppolo an opportunity with three straight three-and-out possessions by the Vikings in the fourth quarter. Rookie Fred Warner, starting at middle linebacker with Reuben Foster suspended, led the team with 12 tackles, including one for loss. He also had one quarterback hurry, one pass breakup and the forced fumble on Cook."Middle linebacker is one of the toughest positions to come in as a rookie and play and be effective," said cornerback Richard Sherman, who made his 49ers debut. "I think he did an admirable job."

The majority of the NFL action for Week 8 is in the books Minnesota Vikings T-Shirt , and now we can finally sit back and treat ourselves to the most important game of the weekend.Yes, it’s time for Sunday Night Football, and this week your Minnesota Vikings are hosting the New Orleans Saints at U.S. Bank Stadium. Both of these teams are on a bit of a roll coming into this one, and the Vikings are missing some pieces, so we’ll see if they can maintain their positive momentum. Here is everything you need to know.Time: Sunday, 28 October, 7:20 PM Central timeLocation: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MinnesotaTelevision coverage: KARE-11 in the Twin Cities, NBC affiliates across the countryRadio coverage: Vikings Radio Network, Sirius Channel 83, XM Channel 225Line: Saints -2, Over/under 55Prediction: Saints 34, Vikings 31Three keys1) Get pressure on Drew Brees - This is going to be as big a key as any in this one. The Vikings are hurting in the secondary, and even though it appears that Xavier Rhodes will play, he might not be 100%. That means that the big guys up front are going to have to get after Brees in this one. Hopefully the return of Everson Griffen will provide the Vikings’ defense the spark they need to do just that.2) Throw the football. A lot. - Usually, the emphasis is on being able to run the football to balance things out offensively Minnesota Vikings Hats , but in this case that could be counter-productive. The Saints’ run defense is really good, but their pass defense is awful, and they certainly don’t have anyone capable of hanging with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Kirk Cousins is going to have time to make plays in this one, and I think the Vikings are going to have to air it out in a big way.3) Take advantage of home cooking - By that, I don’t mean any sort of “hometown calls” from the officials. . .as if the Vikings would get those anyway. . .but it’s tough to deny that the Saints are a significantly different team on the road than they are at home. The crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium tonight should be bonkers, and the Vikings are going to need to take advantage of that in this one.Know the Foe: Canal Street ChroniclesTwitter: Right hereFaceBook: www.facebook.com/TheDailyNorsemanTweets by DailyNorseman As usual, we will roll out a brand new Open Thread at the start of each quarter, so make sure you keep your eyes open for that. Enjoy tonight’s game, ladies and gentlemen, and hopefully in a few hours here we’ll be celebrating the Vikings’ fourth consecutive victory.SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!Zim Tzu ruffles some feathers ED NOTE: This has bad words. Most of the other things we write on here usually don’t, but this one does. It seems to be a popular bit, so until the law catches up with me, I’m going to keep doing it. Thanks for understanding, and thanks for not reading and not letting your kids read it if bad language isn’t your thing. Hope you enjoy the rest of our articles—TedAt some point in life a warrior poet will be dealt with unexpected setbacks, maybe two or three, all within close proximity of one another, and it feels like you’re entering a graveyard spiral. How you deal with it determines your way forward Minnesota Vikings Hoodie , and the paths are quite divergent. Sometimes you can fight through it, level your wings, and fly on towards your destiny. Or things spin out of control, to the point the only thing left is impact, a fiery explosion, and no survivors. So when faced with this scenario, you can do one of two things. You can just accept your fate and get blown to smithereens, or you can grab the stick and fight. And keep fighting, until you level your wings, let the cobwebs clear, and start moving forward again. Because as any good warrior poet knows, moving forward is the only option, and quitting is for losers. And you move forward, because warrior poets are not losers.Because you are Zim Tzu, The King In The North, Subduer of Equestrian Excrement Consumers, Nightmare of Clan Fromage Cheap Customized Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , Breaker Of Gold Fever, High Septon Of Eagan, Lord Commander Of The Iron Range And Twin Cities, Master Of Fortress TCO, Honorary Elder Of Mankato and Protector Of The Realm. And when you do fly out of the spins people want to hear about your aerobatic tales, and marvel at your death defying stunts. And that’s where we come in.* We’re essentially the barnstorming experts**, that take the words that are spoken, and translate them into what Zim Tzu was actually thinking at the time.****We are not in. We’re more out in the cold than a wet dude in the Arctic.**Airplanes are for folks that are scared to fly. Helicopters are where it’s at, yo.***My legal team of Franklin, Bash, and Bateman can’t stress enough that this is 100% satire, and no reading of minds or psychic powers were employed in writing this. No animals were harmed, either. Except eagles. GET IT?!?!What Zim Tzu meant: Holy mother of Odin we beat those horseshit eating jackasses. They literally eat horseshit, which metaphorically was like watching our two most recent games. Especially Buffalo, because what in the sweet fuck was that? Nice win, helps get that shit taste out of the mouth. Let’s fucking go.Q: Why has Kirk Cousins been so good at diagnosing blitzes and avoiding them? What Zim Tzu meant: Well, Granitejaw McDreamy has this thing we call ‘talent’. He also has two other things we call ‘experience’ and ‘health’. And when you combine these three things in a cauldron of witches brew http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com/cheap-mike-remmers-jersey , you get this fuckin’ miracle called ‘a quarterback that doesn’t suck’. And I want you to inject this strange brew concoction straight into my veins, eyeballs, and buttcheeks from now until the end of my days because watching a good quarterback wearing a Vikings uniform play at a high level must feel like what being high on cocaine is like. Q: In what ways has Stephen Weatherly improved as a pass rusher? What Zim Tzu meant: You know Stephen has come a long way. When he first got here he’d stand up at the snap and yell to the sideline ‘HEY COACH AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?’ and then he’d get steamrolled. Look, it was funny as shit, and admittedly we kept him around for comedic purposes only. But now he’s come on strong and on Sunday he went after Wentz like Wentz owed him money and the football was the wallet.Q: What are the keys to having two defensive ends that can play both the strong and weak side of the ball? What Zim Tzu meant: It means I can come at you with more looks than Taylor Swift has costume changes at one of her concerts. And we’ll write your name. In the dirt. Fuckers. Q: You’ve drafted a lot of pass rushers who didn’t have a lot of sacks in college. How do you identify those players coming out, and how important has Andre Patterson been in developing them? What Zim Tzu meant: Andre Patterson is a fucking defensive lineman whisperer. Truth is, he helps defensive linemen with pass rush problems. Then those defensive linemen fuck up some quarterbacks.Q: How much do you coach Dan Bailey during a game like yesterday? Do you get involved with the kicker much, or just decide when you’re going to kick the field goal? What Zim Tzu meant: Yeah, I thought about talking to him. I thought about going up to him and asking him what the fuck his problem was because GODDAMN IT I’M SICK OF KICKERS AND I WILL HACK OFF YOUR GODDAMN LEG WITH A BROKEN HOCKEY STICK AND MAKE YOU LIMP HOME ON A BLOODY STUMP IF YOU DON’T MAKE THIS NEXT KICK. I had zero confidence he would make it.Q: What does the resiliency of this defense bring to the team? What Zim Tzu meant: Well, it’s nice to not get fucking boatraced for the third week in a row, that’s for sure. Let’s see what happens against the Cardinals. Q: Have you gotten another chance to look at Andrew Sendejo’s hit? What Zim Tzu meant: It was bullshit, man. Just like the fuckin’ game clock in Chicago. Q: Do you worry about a player getting a reputation with officials where they’re more likely to flag them? What Zim Tzu meant: Andrew Sendejo’s reputation is so well known it arrives at the stadium three hours before the rest of the team and is more damaged than Minnesota roads.Q: The onside kick seemed like it was pretty well executed. What was going through your mind there as it took a bad hop and bounces off of Adam Thielen at first? What Zim Tzu meant: We are so fucked. Q: What is it about Adam Thielen that makes him so good in that spot? What Zim Tzu meant: He recovered the ball.Q: Do you see a point in the league when quarterbacks are not completing 70 percent? What Zim Tzu meant: Well when you can’t hit or tackle the quarterback shit’s gonna skyrocket. Fuck it, let’s just do 7 on 7 drills and call it good. Q: People talk about how the run game and passing game need to be balanced. With guys throwing better does that become obsolete? What Zim Tzu meant: Not when guys are running for shit.Q: When you see so many teams spreading out and putting you in nickel situations, how does that affect your personnel and the way you (Ed note: original transcription ended there. I don’t know what the rest of the question was)What Zim Tzu meant: I smile, then I laugh, and then I fuck you up and end whatever hope your play had before it begins. Unless I iso Anthony Barr. Then we’re pretty well fucked.
