When Bill Belichick was asked Monday what he liked about Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Authentic Elandon Roberts Jersey , his answer sounded a lot like everyone else's this season."Pretty much everything," Belichick said of the second-year player as the Patriots began preparations for Sunday night's matchup with Kansas City (5-0)."He gets the ball to all of his receivers quick, quick release, sees things quickly, can extend plays, got a great arm, got a fabulous arm, can throw the ball out of the stadium."It was glowing praise from a coach that has a track record of finding ways to make things difficult for young quarterbacks.Belichick will now turn his attention to the 23-year-old Mahomes, who has been the talk of the NFL, throwing for 1,513 yards, 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions through five games. He appeared in just one game last season, leading the Chiefs to a three-point victory in their regular-season finale against the Broncos. But it was enough for Kansas City to believe Mahomes could be their quarterback and played into its decision to trade Alex Smith to Washington in the offseason.Mahomes has taken control of Andy Reid's offense http://www.patriotsauthorizedshop.com/authentic-phillip-dorsett-jersey , using his legs and arm to lead a group that is averaging a league-best 35 points per game.Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said during his weekly radio appearance on Boston's WEEI that young quarterbacks such as Mahomes and rookies Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Josh Rosen are taking advantage of the early opportunities they've gotten."A lot of those guys are being thrown into the mix," Brady said. "Some of those guys are playing really well. It's pretty awesome. I was a fourth-string quarterback when I was a rookie, so I was sitting in the stands, eating nachos before games. I wasn't playing. ... Some other guys have had those chances. And when you're thrown into the mix it's really impressive."It will be a big challenge for New England's defense, which is giving up 366 yards per game and had trouble defending the pass during a 1-2 start to the season.Patriots cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer said one of the underrated parts of Mahomes' game is his ability to use his legs to set up deep passes."With Mahomes in particular, one, he can make all the throws he needs to make, has a very strong arm. He also has a great ability to extend plays, whether he's going to do that running or extending it and scramble to give his receivers time to get open," Boyer said."So, we've got to do a great job being where we need to be Youth Lawrence Guy Jersey , using our help in coverage if we have any, and making sure that we're tight on receivers in competitive situations."Cornerback Stephon Gilmore said he expects Mahomes to be a handful to defend."He's a great quarterback," Gilmore said. "He's playing really good right now. He's making some big throws and he's got a lot of good weapons around him. They're 5-0 for a reason." The New England Patriots were short-handed without Rob Gronkowski or Sony Michel, but there are simply too many playmakers on the offense. Tom Brady and company took their time, but eventually broke out in the fourth quarter to defeat the Green Bay Packers 31-17.Tom Brady had a fine dayBrady did enough on Sunday night for the Patriots to win. I wouldn’t say it was a great outing and I would argue that calling it “very good” might also be a stretch. Brady completed 22 of 35 passes (62.9%) for 294 yards and 1 touchdown and a 99.0 passer rating. My expectations are high and he benefit from a lot of yards after the catch.Brady continues to miss some passes and have miscommunications with his receivers. He’s reacting more to pressure and he really struggled in the red zone, completing 2 of 9 for 9 yards, adding 1 rush for 2 yards and a first down. Part of the issue was the absence of Rob Gronkowski (and Gronk’s limitations all year), but Brady’s red zone production is a major red flag that has to be fixed over the second half of the season.Cordarrelle Patterson needs to stay on the fieldPatterson finished the day with 61 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and added a 7-yard reception. When the Patriots signed Patterson, Bill Belichick told the receiver, “We’ll make you the player you should be.”I think we know what that player should be.Patterson ran hard and slashed his way down the field and his versatility is hard to defend. If you’re a defensive coordinator and Patterson’s in the backfield, you have to keep an extra defensive back on the field because you don’t want to have a linebacker responsible for covering Patterson in the open field. But the defensive back will likely be a weaker run defender, giving Patterson a clear advantage in the box.Even when Michel returns, Patterson should stick around on the field for New England and I would love to see some 2-running back sets with Patterson and either Michel or James White in the red zone to stress the edges of the opposing defense. The Patriots need to get Patterson 5-10 touches a game.James White is the heart of the offenseMove over Gronkowski and Julian Edelman http://www.patriotsauthorizedshop.com/authentic-trey-flowers-jersey , White is the most important non-Brady player in the Patriots offense. White had 12 carries for 31 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 6 receptions for 72 yards. This was White’s third multi-touchdown game of the season and he’s racked up 765 yards and 10 touchdowns this year, both career highs.Brady continues to look to White when all else fails in the offense and the running back’s reliability gives him the edge as the most important skill player in the Patriots offense.Josh Gordon is hereGordon finished the day with 5 catches for 130 yards and an impressive 55-yard touchdown. This was Gordon’s second 100+ yard game, both in the past three weeks, and he’s really emerged as Brady’s most productive receiver. He now has 396 yards and 2 touchdowns in 6 games with the Patriots. He’s on pace for 875 yards and 5 touchdowns this year, which would be the second-best of his career, behind only his 2013 All Pro season. He’s going to keep getting better. Gordon is here.Brian Flores coached a heckuva gameWe can talk about how the Packers gained 368 yards on the day, and that Marquez Valdes-Scantling had 3 back-breaking catches for 101 yards, and that the Packers averaged 4.7 yards per carry, but I think Brian Flores coached the Patriots defense to one of their best performances of the year. The Patriots defense reminded me of their performance against the 2013 Denver Broncos, where they allowed the opposition to gash them on the ground to take the ball away from Peyton Manning and the potent receivers.Packers running backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams gained 110 yards on 21 carries (5.24 YPC), but outside of Scantling’s 3 incredible catches, Aaron Rodgers threw for just 158 yards. Rodgers completed a mere 55.8% of his passes. That means that the Patriots did a great job limiting the best player from the Packers offense and it was clear that Rodgers never felt comfortable all day.Adrian Clayborn had his best day at the officeClayborn finished the day with half a sack and a forced fumble, but he was much more active. He chipped in a pair of quarterback hits and had another forced fumble called back due to a penalty. While Clayborn’s struggled at times with gap integrity on the edge and allowing quarterbacks and running backs to turn the corner Shaq Mason Jersey , that wasn’t an issue today and Clayborn kept Rodgers inside the pocket.Clayborn played at the level the Patriots need him to play at in order to complement Trey Flowers and force opposing teams to respect multiple players on the Patriots defensive line.Stephon Gilmore is an All Pro cornerbackGilmore had a pass defended and a fumble recovery, but more importantly he did an outstanding job of removing Packers top receiver Davante Adams from the game. Adams had 6 catches for 40 yards and a touchdown with the majority of those catches coming on crossers against zone defenses. The Packers moved Adams to the inside of formations to try and get him away from Gilmore- and Gilmore managed to get under Adams’ skin late in the game.Gilmore’s been the Patriots best defensive back all season and he’s passed this test with flying colors. He’s playing the cornerback position as well as any cornerback we’ve seen under Bill Belichick- and an All Pro caliber cornerback is an ingredient on every Patriots Super Bowl team.Patriots have one more test before their bye weekNew England is limping with so many injuries and they have one more test before they have a pretty favorable home stretch. The Patriots are on the road next week with a 1:00 PM game against the Tennessee Titans, losers of three straight and playing on Monday Night Football this week- so the Titans will face the Patriots while coming off a short week. The Titans are 3-4, but they’re a couple bounces away from being 0-7...and they’re also a couple bounces away from being 5-2. If the Patriots can get past the Titans, they’ll get the bye week and hopefully everyone will be able to rest and get healthier for the final six games. The Patriots have four games against their AFC East rivals, including a pair against the New York Jets; they host the Minnesota Vikings in week 13; and they’re on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 15.It wouldn’t be shocking if the Patriots win out, although a loss or two wouldn’t be surprising. If everyone can get healthy over the bye week, then the Patriots will be in great position to challenge for homefield advantage in the AFC.

Well Customized New England Patriots Jerseys , Week 10 is already off to a disastrous start for me.On Thursday night, as I settled in to watch the Steelers and the Panthers, I ignored every instinct in my body that was urging me to take Pittsburgh. In my head, I knew the Steelers were going to win, and I knew they were going to cover as 3.5-point favorites. It wasn’t overly complicated. They are clicking on all cylinders right now, about as well as any NFL team can, and they were playing at home in primetime. And just for the record, the Steelers usually thrive when they are playing in primetime. And yet, my desire to watch a thrilling game between two Super Bowl contenders from each conference got in the way of my better judgement. That’s why I took the Panthers +3.5, and that’s why I paid the painful price.Pittsburgh 52, Carolina 21. Whoops.Considering I’m not very good at making NFL predictions, and am currently treading water just a couple games above the .500 mark this season, I really need to listen to my head instead of my heart more often. One of these days, I might finally learn my lesson. But then again, it is me we’re talking about, and I overthink everything when it comes to football. So that probably won’t happen. Whatever though. At least this Sunday, the Patriots will be reuniting with Malcolm Butler on the football field for a couple of hours when they play the Titans in Nashville. It might not be a friendly reunion, but let’s face it: Butler will be a Boston sports legend for the rest of time, all because of one simple, but very timely, interception in Super Bowl XLIX.Things didn’t end for Butler in New England the way they should have, and as a Patriots fan www.authenticsnewenglandpatriots.com , it’s hard not to feel for the guy. He’s responsible for the single greatest moment of my sports fandom, and I will owe that to him forever. It’s just too bad this game isn’t happening in Foxboro, because if it was, Butler would get an ovation louder than a rock concert when he entered the stadium. Thanks for the memories, Malcolm. See you on Sunday.(Home teams in caps, and all lines courtesy of OddsShark.com)CHIEFS (-16.5) over CardinalsTaking a team that is favored by 17 points is physically painful. But the Cardinals are one of the worst teams in the league, they have a rookie quarterback who is still trying to adjust to the NFL, and Kansas City’s offense is borderline unstoppable. The Chiefs haven’t scored less than 30 points since Week 4. In addition, it’s supposed to be a tad chilly in Kansas City and the Cardinals are an indoor team from the desert. There’s no good reason to get behind Arizona in this game, other than that massive point spread.Falcons (-6) over BROWNSSince the Browns finally fired Hue Jackson about a year too late, I was on the verge of picking them to pull off some kind of HUE-IS-FINALLY-GONE miracle against the Falcons this week, but I just couldn’t do it. Part of that whole “listening to my head” thing.JETS (-7) over BillsThe Jets without Sam Darnold are playng the Bills without Josh Allen. Is anybody actually going to watch this? Even Jets and Bills fans have to at least be considering passing up on football this week. If you’re going to gamble on this game, don’t take the Nathan Peterman team, unless you’re betting on which team will turn the ball over at least five times.BEARS (-6.5) over LionsKhalil Mack has missed the last two games for Chicago. But if he’s cleared to play, it’s going to be a long afternoon for Matt Stafford, who has been getting sacked a lot lately (what else is new?)This is just me, but 6.5 points seems like a lot for a Bears team that has struggled against the NFC North this year. But the Lions have seemingly run into a wall lately, and that Chicago defense is pretty resembling of a wall. Jaguars (+3) over COLTSSheesh, you know the Jaguars have hit rock bottom when they are now considered underdogs against the Colts. That defense — supposed to be the best in the league — has been a huge letdown this year (I would know, I have them in fantasy). But for some odd reason, I picked the Jags to go to Super Bowl LIII, so I kind of need them to get this thing turned around sooner rather than later.Patriots (-6.5) over TITANSSorry we have to do this to you New England Patriots T-Shirt , Malcolm, but the Pats are pretty hot at the moment. October, November, and most of December is usually when they are at their best.Saints (-5.5) over BENGALSSpeaking of hot teams, nobody is hotter than the Saints right now. They just handed the Rams their first loss of the season. New Orleans pretty much has all of the momentum in the galaxy. Good luck, Cincy. See you next time.Redskins (+3) over BUCCANEERSThe Redskins will break your heart faster than your first high school girlfriend, but I don’t trust the Tampa Bay defense. Offensively, it’s hard to tell if Ryan Fitzpatrick will throw four touchdown passes or four interceptions. But Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson should be able to do some damage against the Bucs defense. This is a tough one to pick, but I just have to roll with Smith.Chargers (-10) over RAIDERSAt 6-2, the Chargers look like a very good team right now. Picking them to cover as 10-point favorites against a horrendous Oakland team seems like a pretty reasonable decision.I’m just looking forward to the first week of January, however, when Philip Rivers fails to get the Chargers past the wild card round. That will be fun.PACKERS (-10) over DolphinsEven though the Dolphins are 5-4 and are facing a pretty average Packers team, you can’t count on a team from warm, sunny Miami to play well in a place like Green Bay, Wisconsin in mid-November. It’s supposed to be around 30 degrees in Green Bay this Sunday. Do you think anybody from south Florida would be comfortable in that environment? This is one of the oldest rules in the book: warm weather teams don’t do well in cold weather environments, and Green Bay is about as cold as it gets.Seahawks (+9.5) over RAMSAfter that brutal defeat in New Orleans last week, are the Rams vulnerable right now? Whether they are or not, they are 4-4-1 against the spread this year. Nine times out of 10, they are a good bet to win the game straight up, but not always to cover the spread. Their defense got torched by the Saints last week. Can we count on them to play well enough to allow the Rams to win by double-digits? I’m not so sure.EAGLES (-7) over CowboysThe Cowboys are never going anywhere as long as Jason Garrett is their head coach. It’s too bad Jerry Jones will never actually move on from Garrett because he has too much of a man crush on him. It’s not difficult to see that Garrett is a serviceable football coach, but not a good one. Then again, Jerry is about as clueless as anyone New England Patriots Hats , so there aren’t really any surprises here.49ERS (-3) over GiantsAny time you have the chance to watch a pair of teams that have a combined three wins through nine weeks play each other on Monday Night Football, you absolutely HAVE to do it.Last week: 8-5This week: 0-1Season: 66-64-5 It’s not that Patrick Mahomes blinked. He was just beaten at his own game by Tom Brady. The Patriots quarterback showed his ability to throw the deep ball 鈥?and some timely running 鈥?to lead the Patriots to a 43-40 win over the Chiefs.Brady’s 4-yard touchdown run (which was assisted by Chiefs rookie outside linebacker Breeland Speaks letting him go, perhaps to avoid a penalty) was the capper on a night of impressive offense by both quarterbacks.Or, it would have been a capper if Mahomes didn’t immediately answer with a 75-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 40, prior to Brady connecting with Rob Gronkowski for a 39-yard connection late to set up the game-winning field goal. It was that kind of night, with the two quarterbacks trading haymakers.Brady finished 24-of-35 for 340 yards and a touchdown, an impressive 9.8 yards per pass attempt.Mahomes threw two interceptions in the first half (matching his total for the first five games of the season), but led his team back impressively from the early problems. They still settled for too many field goals, but their flurry of big plays late made this one of the most entertaining games of the season.Mahomes finished with 352 yards (and a 9.9 yards per attempt average) and four touchdowns to go with the mistakes, but made it clear that even though he lost his first game of the season, he’s leading a team that will likely see the Patriots again in the playoffs. Here are five more things we learned during Sunday Night Football:1. The Patriots have made do with a fleet of replaceable-part niche backs in the past. They may have something approaching a bell cow in rookie Sony Michel. The first-rounder (their second one, chosen 31st overall) finished with 24 carries for 106 yards, continuing a run of solid play.He was inactive in the opener and had just 84 rushing yards combined in his first two games. But with his 112-yard outburst against the Dolphins and another 98 against the Colts last week, he’s showing indications he’s different from their usual assembly line backs. He was part of a dynamic tandem at Georgia with Nick Chubb (who was taken four picks after him, by the Browns in the second round), but with each passing week, he looks like he can be a traditional every-down back, as long as he stays healthy.2. Nothing against Dustin Colquitt and Ryan Allen, but no one missed them for the longest time tonight.Amazingly, there wasn’t a single punt until the 3:50 mark of the fourth quarter, as two offenses traded shots (and occasional turnovers).Offense is up league-wide, so high scoring is becoming more common. But it’s still refreshing to see teams play an open style New England Patriots Hoodie , after years of football being choked to death by cynical coaches who were afraid to let their teams make mistakes. Or excitement.3. Chiefs safety Eric Berry hasn’t played this year, and his absence is evident against the Patriots. Not having him on the field with a “heel” injury (after last year’s Achilles tear) has compromised their ability to cover any tight end, or the middle of the field in general. But they’re also down numbers in the middle of the secondary, with Daniel Sorensen on injured reserve. With聽Eric Murray also inactive, they were without their top three safeties, with Jordan Lucas making his first start next to Ron Parker.Lucas was acquired in a trade with the Dolphins just before final cuts, and Parker was brought back after the Falcons cut him this summer. They performed well enough, but it’s far from a sustainable situation.4. Losing a talented returner such as De'Anthony Thomas to a practice injury was a bad break for the Chiefs. Thomas suffered a broken leg when a teammate stepped on him in practice Thursday, in the same leg he broke last year. But under special teams coordinator Dave Toub, the Chiefs filled in more than acceptably.Tremon Smith‘s 97-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter set the Chiefs up for a go-ahead score. This sixth-rounder from Central Arkansas showed the kind of speed that makes the Chiefs the team most likely to field an Olympic relay team. Smith ran a 4.38-second 40 at his pro day workout, putting him in good company.5. Say what you want about Gronkowski. At least he’s house-broken.The subtly hilarious moment of the first half was when Brady yelled at his All-Pro tight end to get out of his three-point stance at the line of scrimmage, and the NBC mics picked it up.“Gronk, stand up,” Brady yelled. Gronkowski immediately stood up, as one does when Brady barks orders.Gronk wasn’t playing as much fetch as he’s used to until late in the game, but I’d bet that if Brady told him to roll over, Gronkowski would have, and waited patiently for the belly rub and the treat.

Womens Customized New England Patriots Jerseys

Jalen Ramsey has approached trash talking — both dishing it out and receiving it — with open arms for most of his football career. When initiating it he's been an equal opportunity offender New England Patriots Hats , even when his words were aimed at possibly two of the best players to ever play their respective positions.Ramsey sent ripples across the league last month when he was asked by "ESPN The Magazine" for his opinion of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and said: "I don't think Gronk is as great as people think he is."The comments came months after the Jaguars' 24-20 loss to the Patriots in last season's AFC championship game, in which Gronkowski caught only one pass before being knocked out of the game with a concussion in the first half. That same game also saw Ramsey briefly exchange words with reigning MVP Tom Brady during pregame warmups. It's all added extra fuel to the budding rivalry as New England prepares to visit Jacksonville on Sunday."If that's how he feels, that's how he feels," Gronkowski said Wednesday. "It's a big game. ... I'm sure I'm gonna have opportunities go against him. And I'm sure he's gonna have opportunities to go against me."For his part, Ramsey has never backed down from his comments."I don't live my life with regrets, man. Things happen. I said what I said," Ramsey said after his comments went viral."I love the competitiveness. I love the trash talking. I love the challenge. I love literally everything about the game, so I have no regrets. ... Hey, I'm me: Unapologetic."Ramsey's teammates said his often-biting words are what make Ramsey the player he is.Trash talking is, "part of his game," defensive lineman Calais Campbell said."I tell him all the time 'Man, hey New England Patriots Womens Hoodie , whatever you do just make sure that we're gonna back you up...We're gonna be there for you,'" Campbell said. "But I have nothing but confidence in Jalen. He's a very smart guy ... Very passionate. So I won't ever try to contain somebody and not let him be himself."Ramsey was a first-team All-Pro in his second year in the league last season, but had a relatively quiet AFC title game against New England. He finished with just two tackles as Brady engineered late-game heroics to erase a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.Ramsey said recently that he thinks the biggest reason for the Jaguars losing that game was that they became too conservative.Of the talent of Brady, who exploited that conservatism, Ramsey told "GQ" magazine that he puts him in the category of quarterbacks who don't "suck.""I never want to suck," Brady said with a smile Wednesday. "So I never want to be in that category."Brady is expecting "an emotional environment" on Sunday against a defense that he considers one of the best in the AFC. He added that he thinks Ramsey is "a great young player." Brady said a little trash talk is part of the game."I think it raises everybody's game, as long as it doesn't get to point where you do something stupid," Brady said. "I think emotion in football is critical."Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone said that any conversations he's had with Ramsey about his tendency to speak his mind would remain private. But Marrone was also quick to offer praise for both Gronkowski and Brady, whom he said were possibly the best to play the game at their positions. He said he isn't concerned about Ramsey's comments providing the Patriots bulletin board material."I mean, it is what it is," Marrone said. "We're all men and we've got to stand by what we say and you've got to speak for yourself and be able to do that. We've just got to go out there and play."Said Gronkowski: "I feel like this game you gotta keep your head on a swivel and be ready for anything."Notes: Rookie RB Sony Michel spoke to reporters for the first time since injuring his knee during training camp. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and said he was "doing all I can do" to be back in uniform for Sunday's game. "My mindset is to prepare as if I'm playing," he said. Michel Womens Customized New England Patriots Jerseys , who was taken 31st overall in April's draft, is one of two Patriot first-round picks on the mend. Tackle Isaiah Wynn (selected 23rd overall) was lost for the season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in the preseason. RB Rex Burkhead remains in the concussion protocol after taking a blow to the head in last week's opener.Week 2 NFL Early Games: Patriots rooting guide and open thread The New England Patriots play the Jacksonville Jaguars at 4:25 PM ET, but there’s a shockingly high quality slate of games at 1:00 PM ET. Here’s who you should be rooting for.Pats Pulpit Patriots Pregame Preview1:00 PM ET Patriots Rooting GuideDolphins at Jets: Both teams started 1-0 and both teams had solid outings in the opener- the Dolphins battling terrible weather delays and the Jets smoking the Detroit Lions. It’s too early in the year to know which team the Patriots would want to lose, but I would argue that the Jets have more upside (which is wild to say) and I would want the Dolphins to win.Chargers at Bills: The Patriots want the Bills to lose, but are they as bad as the opener suggested?Chiefs at Steelers: New England plays both teams later in the year, but they have the Chiefs at home and are on the road against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is more likely to be around late in the playoffs, too, so root for the Chiefs to win on the road.Texans at Titans: The Patriots already beat the Texans, while they still have to play on the road in Tennessee later in the year. Root for the Texans for strength of victory because a bird and all that.Colts at Washington: The Patriots want the Colts to win for the sake of strength of schedule and for the hopeful strength of victory.Browns at Saints: This game doesn’t affect the Patriots, but this is still a weirdly intriguing game. Are the Browns good? Are the Saints bad? This could be a high-scoring affair or a Saints blowout and I’m here for this.Eagles at Buccaneers: New England owns the Eagles seventh round draft pick and want them to lose so the Patriots can have the best possible seventh round draft pick (eyeroll).Vikings at Packers: This is just a fun game! Enjoy it.Panthers at Falcons: This could also be a fun divisional game. Have fun with it!

Chargers rookie safety Derwin James came up with a big play when he picked off Jared Goff in the end zone to quash a Rams scoring chance Youth Michael Schofield Jersey , but he stepped out of bounds on the 1-yard-line during his return. That came back to haunt the Chargers. Three offensive plays bought them three yards of breathing room for a Drew Kaser punt that Rams linebacker Cory Littleton smothered the moment in left Kaser’s foot. Blake Countess fell on the ball in the end zone and the Rams are now up 21-6 on their home field. It’s Littleton’s third blocked punt since the end of last season.Injury was added to insult on the play. Kaser stayed down on the turf for a while and was limping badly while walking off the field. He was taken to the locker room on a cart so the team may be without him the rest of the way.Kicker Caleb Sturgis does have one career punt, but that’s likely of little relief to Anthony Lynn and company. The Los Angeles Chargers find themselves in a familiar spot after the first week of the NFL season — 0-1 and trying to make sure the season doesn't go off the rails. As much as coach Anthony Lynn and his team have tried to deflect questions about last year's 0-4 start, those reminders are bound to come up again this week as they prepare for Sunday's game at Buffalo. The Chargers are 5-9 in September since 2014, which is the third-worst mark in the AFC.Quarterback Philip Rivers, who threw for 424 yards Sunday, said after the 38-28 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that this team is better equipped to bounce back compared to previous seasons."I think last year at that point we were still a little bit snake-bit of how we lost too many games the previous two years," Rivers said. "It was kind of a little bit the same old story to start out last season and then we kind of got rid of that. I feel like we kind of got rid of that the last 12 games last year."We still have to go do it, but there's so many good things that we did today Womens Isaac Rochell Jersey , other than score, which is the most important, that gives me all the confidence in the world that this could be an awesome season."Lynn said Monday that the biggest takeaways from the loss were the four drops in the passing game. Running back Melvin Gordon had two while wide receivers Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams had one each."It's very uncharacteristic. I have not seen that out of our group, at all, but it showed up yesterday," Lynn said. "Maybe they were pressing. Maybe after you drop one ball, they felt pressed to make the next catch. I'm not sure."Gordon, who had 102 yards on nine receptions http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-trevor-williams-jersey , said on one of the drops that he didn't get his head around fast enough to see the ball.Despite the drops and going 3 for 11 on third down, Lynn was mostly pleased with the offense's performance. The Chargers had 541 yards, though 244 came in the fourth quarter when they had the ball for nearly 11 minutes and the Chiefs were well ahead. The running game with Gordon and Austin Ekeler averaged 5.6 yards per carry and they combined for 14 receptions for 189 yards."Those guys have two different skill sets. I like it when they can attack a defense with those skills out of the backfield receiving the ball or running on the perimeter or inside," Lynn said.Right tackle Joe Barksdale's status remains uncertain after he injured his left knee during the first quarter. Sam Tevi took Barksdale's place and would get the start if Barksdale is out this week.Defensive end Joey Bosa also remains week-to-week after missing Sunday's game due to a foot injury. Isaac Rochell was in for all but five of the defense's 56 plays and ended up with four tackles.Lynn said Buffalo's decision on whether Nathan Peterman or Josh Allen starts at quarterback will have no bearing on the overall defensive game plan. The Chargers had great success against Peterman in last year's game, intercepting him five times in the first half of a 52-24 victory."If we're facing Peterman, we will try to get after him again like we did last year," Lynn said. "I think of those five interceptions that Joey Bosa was hitting him on four of them. We have to figure out how to apply some pressure to that young man and play our game."

Every offseason seems to get longer and longer to the point where we scrape the bottom barrels for any last drops of something football-related to help ease our minds and pass the time. I’ve recently gotten interested in the Canadian Football League and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.....it’s pretty cool, but obviously not the same. If you want to be reminded of college football players you forgot about fromm the late 2000’s, it might be the sport for you.Anyways, it’s been a fairly eventful offseason within the AFC West and I thought I would catch everybody up on what has happened so far while providing some previews of the division before training camp gets underway. First up on the docket Color Rush Philip Rivers Jersey , the Denver Broncos.OffenseThe Broncos are headed into the 2018 season with some new faces gracing the offensive side of the ball. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton (6-3 220, SMU) and running back Royce Freeman (6-0 229, Oregon) were selected in the second and third rounds, respectively, and look to bring some dynamic talent to an offense that seemed more stagnant than not this past year.On day three, the Broncos also selected former Penn State route-technician DaeSean Hamilton and Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli. Both should add solid depth to the receiving-corps.The biggest change, however, happens to be free agent quarterback Case Keenum who now takes over behind center. Keenum Youth Austin Ekeler Jersey , who threw for 3,547 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Vikings last year, will look to inject some life back into a Denver offense that has lost some spunk since The Sheriff hung up his cleats.Look for the offensive line to gel and have increased productivity as the only change to the front-five is the addition of former-Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Jared Veldheer. Veldheer will likely anchor the right tackle position as 2016 first-round pick Garrett Bolles will have blindside duties all to himself.DefenseThe Broncos already have one of the fiercest pass rushes in the entire NFL. Even when future hall-of-famer DeMarcus Ware retired, younger players Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett were there to fill the void. But after the selection of North Carolina State’s Bradley Chubb, the consensus top EDGE rusher in the draft, the Broncos’ look to reclaim one of the spots among the leagues best EDGE duos.At the second level, they bring back linebackers Todd Davis and Brandon Marshall to be the heart of the defense. Add in Josey Jewell, the All-American linebacker from the University of Iowa Youth Darius Philon Jersey , and you have the makings of an up-and-coming front seven.Chris Harris remains one of the best cornerbacks in the league and Bradley Roby is no slouch, himself. Former 2016 third-round pick Justin Simmons has laid claim as the top safety on the team and will be joined by incumbent starter at free safety Darian Stewart as the group looks to continue the vaunted No-Fly Zone at Mile HighSpecial TeamsBrandon McManus returns as the team’s kicker but don’t be surprised to see them bring in some competition. After signing a recent extension, McManus went on to miss eight kicks in 2017, including 3 between 20-39 yards.Marquette King was signed soon after his surprise release by the Raiders following the hire of Jon Gruden as their head coach. Oakland’s loss looks to be Denver’s gain as King is an instant upgrade over Riley Dixon who underwhelmed in his time with the Broncos. What do you guys expect from the Broncos this season? Will they take a step forward or back? Let us know in the comment section.

And there's that final home game against the Los Angeles Rams.So wins are going to be hard to come by for a team that sputtered to a 2-6 start, topping 20 points in a game only once. So the main focus from this point forward is developing rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. To offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, Rosen is simply "the kid.""The kid can really play," Leftwich said. "His demeanor allows him to have success. Quarterbacking in this league is hard and when things go bad this kid tends to be fine. He's OK in those situations. Like I said, he can really play and it's just my job to get him in position that he's doing the right things."Leftwich knows Rosen well. He was the quarterbacks coach before being promoted to coordinator after Mike McCoy was fired seven games into the season."I'm just trying to get him better," Leftwich said. "Our goal is to come out here and get this kid better every day in every form and fashion. There's not any specifics. I'm working on this kid the whole way, the whole way we're just trying to install the things we need to install in him so this kid could be playing 15 or 20 years."Rosen took over the worst offense in the league late in the third game of the season (a home loss to Chicago) and has held the job ever since. He didn't talk to reporters this week but praised Leftwich after Sunday's 18-15 come-from-behind win over the 49ers."The one thing I think Byron is really good with is his demeanor," Rosen said. "He's played the game, he's been in a lot of big-time situations, so I think he has really good timing with a lot of his play calls, he's got really good poise. He's a steading force for us on offense."The Arizona offense sputtered for three quarters before Rosen threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns, a 13-yarder to Larry Fitzgerald and the game-winner, a 9-yarder to the back of the end zone to fellow rookie Christian Kirk http://www.chargerscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-michael-schofield-jersey , with 34 seconds to play. The Cardinals were able to get running back David Johnson into open space a little bit more than they had, and the defense shut down San Francisco's strong running game most of the afternoon.Wilks, whose coaching experience is entirely on the defensive side of the ball, likes what he's seen from Leftwich, who played nine seasons at quarterback in the NFL but is a relative newcomer to coaching."I think he's going to continue to try to be creative in his approach and really try to put the guys in a position to be successful," Wilks said.Rosen approaches the coming weeks with that even-keeled confidence even though Leftwich is his fifth coordinator in four years, counting his time at UCLA.The Cardinals also try to move on from the distraction of three-time All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson's request to be traded. He backed off the request after a meeting with team president Michael Bidwill and has two years left on his contract.Wilks called on Peterson to speak in the huddle after the San Francisco win."What was said and what was talked about last week is in the past," Wilks said. "Patrick is a captain. He's a leader on this football team. Again, I want him to have a voice, and that's what he wanted to do, and I gave him that opportunity."Notes: Wilks said he expects DT Corey Peters (ankle) and RG Justin Pugh (hand) to be back next week.

by now White Laquon Treadwell Jersey , Minnesota Vikings’ defensive end Everson Griffen returned to practice with the purple on Wednesday. Griffen has been away from the team since an incident in the week leading up to the Vikings’ contest against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, and has missed five games while he was sorting himself out.Following Wednesday’s practice session, Griffen fielded questions from the Twin Cities media. Courtesy of the award-winning Minnesota Vikings’ PR department, we have the full transcript of his question and answer session below. Enjoy, everyone!First off I want to take full responsibility for my actions that went on in September. I’ve had a lot of support from my family, the Minnesota Vikings, the doctors, my teammates, and the fans. I want to give my apologies to the people I impacted, I’m sorry if I affected them in any type of way. Just excited to get back here with my team and get back to the grind of things. It’s been hard to be away, but I’m happy to be back and it’s a good feeling right now. I’m taking it one day at a time, one thing at a time to get things back on track.Q: What did you learn over the last five weeks? What’s different about you?A: I learned a lot about the man outside of football. I had a lot of time to reflect on my life and where I want to go and the decisions I made, and I just want to get better with some of my decisions that I made and improve on them.Q: What was it like coming back into the facility this morning?A: It felt great, it felt great to see my guys. I love each and every one of my teammates, and it was just good to see the smiles on their faces, and they welcomed me with open arms. They want me to be the wild man, and I want to be that wild man, but I’m just taking it one day at a time and just processing everything and getting everything back on track.Q: What kind of things did you do the last four weeks to now feel ready to rejoin the team?A: I’m not comfortable answering that question right now, but in the future I’ll be able to.Q: You’ve said that this is an ongoing work in progress, that coming back doesn’t mean everything is done and over with?A: This is bigger than football, this is part of the process. We got a team, we got a good group of individuals, the Minnesota Vikings, the doctors, myself, my family, and we got a plan in place and we’re going to execute that plan day-in and day-out, and we’re going to stay on top of it. That’s our goal. This is bigger than football, and it’s part of the plan. I’m excited to be back.Q: You’ve talked about someday telling your story. Do you know when that will be?A: We have a plan in place, but we’re going to take it one day at a time. We’re not going to place an expectation on the outcome http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com/cheap-xavier-rhodes-jersey , we’re just going to keep it day-by-day and do the right things and stay on top of improving each and every day.Q: Was there anything in particular you feel led to your troubles in September?A: I’m not ready to get into that right now, but eventually I will be able to. Everything is going as planned, and like I said, we’re taking it one day at a time, one thing at a time. I’m just excited to be back. It was good to have some time to myself and figure out some of my things that I need to handle. I had a lot of support, a lot of fan support, and even a lot of support from you guys, the media. It feels good to see the love and the fan base that was there.Q: You said your teammates want to see you be the wild man on the field. Can you still do that after getting a handle in your personal life?A: Of course, but that’s in due time. Like I said I’m trying to keep it simple in my life and keep it simple and go day-by-day and just do the right things day-in and day-out – on and off the field. Q: Do you feel physically ready to play?A: Yeah, I feel good. I feel good. I was working out. I was able to work out and do the things I have to do, but playing this game of football it requires more than just working out. You got to push somebody, hit somebody, get your timing back. It’s more to go on the football just in running and training by myself. I’m able to play football, but I still have to got to get back in the pass rush flow and my run flow and stuff like that.Q: When you stepped away from the team, did you know that was the right thing for you?A: It was the right thing for me, completely.Q: Did you know that right away?A: 100 percent.Q: Are you playing on Sunday?A: Coach Zimmer can answer that question for you.Q: Did you consider taking this year off?A: Our doctors, our coaching staff, the Vikings, my family we just had a plan and I executed the plan and we took it day-by-day, step-by-step and it led up to this point. We made the decision that I was ready to come back and now I’m back.Q: Does football feel like a comfort zone for you?A: Absolutely. I live for this each and every day, but I also live for my family too. You got to have that balance in life and that’s what I’m working towards, having that balance each and every day.Q: Do you have a message for anyone that might be going through anything similar to what you are?A: If you are you need to ask for help. You need to go out there and find a good support team and do the right things to be able to be able to take care of yourself. That’s what it’s all about, taking care of yourself and taking care of your actions and doing the right things.Q: Do you feel like you have a platform to affect millions of people, whenever you are able to share your story?A: 100 percent. That’s the plan, 100 percent. I just want to be able to do it at the right time, the right place, and the right opportunity. It’s just right now is not the place, not the time, and I just got to focus on the right things and the right things are my family, finding that balance and getting back to work http://www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com/cheap-matt-wile-jersey , and just executing my plan that we have in place.Q: Was it ever difficult to stay patient when you were waiting and watching the games?A: I was patient in my first four years in playing in the NFL sitting behind Jared Allen, Brian Robison, Kevin Williams, Pat Williams. Patience came early to me at a young age. It was hard watching my guys play, but I learned patience and being humble and waiting your time. I feel like everything happens for a reason and I needed this. I needed this to figure out myself and it was a good thing.Q: Are you proud of the way they played?A: Yeah, they’re playing awesome right now. We’re playing like a team, a blue collar team, a tough team, a team that is smart, a team that is physical, and a team that Coach Zimmer sees that we can be day-in-and-day-out. It was tough for the first few games, but it got easier for me. They did an excellent job.Q: What was it like taking your chair back in the defensive line room?A: It was awesome, man. Just getting back into life in general – driving my car, doing all the little things. You got to appreciate the little things in life and I appreciate the little things in life. I’m not taking any day, every day is a blessing. You got to be grateful and I’m just excited to back here. Once again, I apologize if I affected anybody, impacted anybody. I take full responsibility for my actions and I’m excited to be back and get the ball rolling.Q: Was the NFL and players association supportive of you throughout the process?A: Yeah, everybody. We had a good support cast. My family was a big support cast, the Minnesota Vikings family was a big support cast, the doctors. We did a good job putting a plan in place and we executed the plan. It was, like I said, it was a time and place where I needed this in my life and I’m happy that it was a right time and it was perfect timing for me.Q: How difficult is it to ask for help?A: Yeah, you got to put your pride aside. Sometimes you just got to put your pride aside and know when enough is enough. Sometimes you got to take it upon yourself and know when enough is enough and when you can’t handle it – when life is too much and you can’t find that balance. That’s all I tried to do is find that balance and work towards my health and wellness in not just football. It’s bigger than football. It’s my life, my family, my kids. Q: Do you feel like you’re feeling ready? A: I feel good. It’s a day-by-day progress. I’m feeling great. My first day back and I feel good. Got to knock a little rust off. Haven’t played football in five weeks, but that comes with practice being deliberate in my practice and just doing it day-in-and-day-out. The Vikings and Jets combined to have 14 chances to convert third downs in the first half of Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium. They were unsuccessful on each and every one of those attempts and managed 12 first downs between them in a first half that saw the defenses do most of the impressive work. The Vikings were able to drive for a touchdown on their first possession and they converted a short field into a field goal, which leaves them up 10-7 at the break. It’s very windy at the game, which may explain some of the difficulties that the two teams have experienced while trying to string together productive drives. It certainly played a role on Dan Bailey missing a field goal late in the second quarter after the Vikings capitalized on another short field.Kirk Cousins is 12-of-23 for 104 yards and has been sacked once over the first 30 minutes. Sam Darnold is 8-of-17 for 86 yards and he hit rookie tight end Chris Herndon for a touchdown for the second week in a row.Neither team has been able to establish a running game to keep their offenses ahead of the sticks and doing so in the second half would give someone a big leg up on a day when it appears points are going to come at a premium.

The start of the season hasn’t necessarily gone the way

the fans would have hoped. There are fans who understand that the regular-season is a process Youth Anthony Barr Jersey , and it takes 16 games to complete. However, there are others that just rage when the Vikings drop a single game. You know what I have to say about that? (you probably don’t care, but I’m going to tell you anyways). Go ahead, be mad. It’s okay to let your emotions out. I mean, the expectations for the season were set pretty high. Even before signing Kirk Cousins in the offseason, the bar was set for the following season. Sign up for FanPulse, our weekly Vikings survey. One thing that fans have been doing is comparing the Vikings to previous teams, and setting expectations based off other teams that have had similar struggles in the past. For instance, fans bring up how Minnesota started the season 2-2 last year, and still managed to make it to the NFC Championship with our apparent backup quarterback Case Keenum. Another example people tend to bring up are the 2014 and 2017 New England Patriots when the team started both seasons 2-2, and managed to go to the Super Bowl both times, winning it in 2015. Fans don’t need to reassure other fans that things will be alright because of this team, and that team. To me Trae Waynes Jersey , it’s good to see fans get upset. It’s about time fans stop settling for mediocrity, because mediocrity won’t get the Vikings to the Super Bowl. I was always taught that when someone continues to give you crap, or constructive criticism, then that means that person cares about you. However, if you continue to not do something right, and someone doesn’t say anything about it, then that person doesn’t think you have it. Fans know that Minnesota has the capability to be better than how the team has been performing. The NFC North won’t be a two-horse race like we’ve seen in the past. There seems to be a lot more competition this year within the division, and at this point, it's completely up for grabs. The Chicago Bears are a whole new team on both sides of the ball with head coach Matt Nagy. He knows how to operate the offense and make it successful with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. By the way, where the hell did he come from? What an exciting player to watch when he’s on his game. The Bears defense is intimidating to watch, especially with a beast in Khalil Mack. As long as Aaron Rodgers remains quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, then the team will always be able to compete. Love, or hate Rodgers Authentic Danielle Hunter Jersey , the guy still knows how to win. Then there are the Detroit Lions, who may have finally found a run-game that has been absent for several seasons. Kerryon Johnson seems like the real deal, and will give Matthew Stafford some options he hasn’t really seen. There have been some road blocks along the way that have sent the Vikings on a detour to find its success. Road blocks to some, while others may think of it as excuses, take it how you wish. But, the Vikings were dealt a rough hand early in the season, with a shaken-up offensive line, the issues with Everson Griffen and having a kicker that for some reason can’t kick a field goal. Something that upsets me or worries me is the fact that even the Vikings’ defensive-minded head coach doesn’t know what’s going on with what’s supposed to be one of the best defenses in the league. Anthony Barr gave up a couple passing touchdowns against the L.A. Rams, but why in the hell is Barr playing pass coverage? Like, if someone can enlighten me, please do so in the comments. In my mind, if a team puts up 30-points, that team should win. It's a major let down when your offense lights up a defense http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-eric-kendricks-jersey , scores 31 points and still loses a football game. The only thing that didn’t upset me is the simple fact that Minnesota’s offense put 31 points up on what people are saying is a pretty respectable defense. It’s only just past the quarter-pole of the season, but it’s okay to be critical. Things need to be fixed sooner, rather than later.Vikings Sign Former Golden Gopher Kobe McCrary The Minnesota Vikings found themselves with extra space this morning and decided to make two roster moves. They have announced the signing of Kobe McCrary and Kareem Are.McCrary, a former University of Minnesota alum, was an undrafted free agent and is no stranger to the Vikings since he spent rookie minicamp with the team. He was with the Gophers for two years, leading the team in rushing with 5.3 yards per carry as well as rushing for 738 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was also the recipient of the 2017 Gary Tinsley Award. McCrary spent his first two years at Butler Community College and had an impressive 1,190 yards on 225 carries and led the NJCAA with 22 rushing touchdowns. The Vikings also signed Are, who signed with Oakland Raiders as a undrafted free agent in 2017. Are also played three years at Florida State and earned AII-ACC honors as a senior for blocking. He also has ties to the Vikings, as spent time blocking for Dalvin Cook. He also played one year at Fort Scott Community College where he earned the PrepStar Maganize JUCO All-American and was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 JUCO offensive guard.

Authentic Danielle Hunter Jersey , Adam Thielen moved on the outside of Jets’ cornerback Darryl Roberts, and started to move up the sideline toward the end zone. Cousins saw Thielen, aired it out 36-yards to put it right over Roberts, and into Thielen’s hands for Minnesota’s first touchdown of the game. That was just the start to Thielen’s historic game. For the seventh consecutive game this season, Thielen has recorded over 100-receiving yards. Thielen has tied a record that was set back in 1961 by Charlie Hennigan. He did what Thielen did, just like 57 years earlier, record seven straight 100+ receiving yards to start the season. Everyone is probably wondering who Thielen is, right? Well, he’s a undraf鈥?Don’t worry I’m not going to go there. If you haven’t heard the story yet, then I’m convinced you live under a rock. If you don’t know who Adam Thielen is period, then you probably definitely live under a rock. But on a real note, I didn’t know who Hennigan was until about a week ago. I heard our very own Daily Norseman writer Ted Glover hung out with him back in the late ‘40’s, early ‘50’s though (kidding). Hennigan played seven seasons with the Houston Oilers from 1960-1966. The year he set the record in 1961 http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-eric-kendricks-jersey , he caught 82 receptions for 1,746 yards, and 12 touchdowns. In his 95 games he caught over 400 passes for a near 7,000 yards. Give a man credit when credit is due. Thielen has earned respect from his on-field performances, or at least he should. If you don’t respect the man, then you’re simply a hater, and that’s not cool. Haters gonna hate, I suppose. He was certainly getting love on Twitter from former Vikings like Cris Carter, Chad Greenway and current teammate George Iloka. I wanted to try and make this post a little bit more interesting for fans of Thielen. I figured I would upload his college highlights from Mankato State, and his highlights from the season. Here’s a video that combined the two:The real question is, how long will the streak continue? Hopefully for the rest of the year. Week by week, Thielen is slowly becoming Cousins’ go-to guy. On the year, Thielen has caught 67 passes for 822 yards. He’s only 454 yards away from matching his career-high 1 Youth Harrison Smith Jersey ,276 receiving yards from last season. However, you’d think teams would start to double cover him soon. If defenses do start to do that, then I’d assume Stefon Diggs would see the same type of productivity he did last year. Not saying Diggs isn’t being productive, and correct me if I’m wrong, but it just seemed like Diggs was the deep threat guy last year. All in all, it seems like the Vikes are coming around, and it feels freaking great. Look out for my ‘Three takeaways’ from the game against the Jets, sometime Monday evening. SKOL!Aviante Collins: Where’s His Best Fit ? One of the guys in the mix for a starting/roster spot along the offense line is Aviante Collins, a second year man that the Vikings picked up last year as an undrafted free agent out of TCU. So far he’s generally been seen to be having a good training camp, and had a pretty good night in Denver as well. Looking For a PositionLast year, Collins got most of his reps at right tackle, where he played in college. He was also seen as athletic enough (4.81” 40) to see some action at left tackle as well.Collins had the upper body strength (34 benchbress reps), but was a little light for a tackle (295 lbs) and just didn’t have the lower body strength and girth to anchor very well against NFL defensive linemen. That created some footwork issues at times as he tried to over compensate http://www.vikingsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-everson-griffen-jersey , which left him off balance.Nevertheless he made the roster and saw some limited action as an extra tackle in jumbo packages late in the season. He did well in that role. During the off-season, Collins added some weight - about 10 pounds of muscle– to help his lower body strength and anchoring ability. That, along with a year of NFL coaching, seems to have helped his performance.Collins plays with a nasty streak, which coach Mike Zimmer mentioned he likes about him, and had some good blocks against Denver - playing both left tackle and (mostly) left guard with the second string. The question with Collins is what is his best position? While he’s played mostly tackle, his arm length (33 3/8”) is not ideal for playing outside.Mike Zimmer apparently was the one to suggest playing him inside at left guard to see how he does.It makes sense as Collins has the size and quickness to play inside, and his arm length isn’t much of an issue there. There are at least a few other guys competing at left guard - Tom Compton, Danny Isidora, also Josh Andrews, so it’s unclear if that’s where he’s needed the most. But it may be his best position.Looking at the Denver game, Collins did better in his reps at left tackle. He struggled more at left guard, where he hadn’t played before Stefon Diggs Jersey , getting beat at times by quickness as he acclimated to the position. But that happened less frequently as the game progressed, suggesting with more reps he may continue to improve. What he did best at left guard was get to the second level - going out to block linebackers on run plays, and also getting out to block on screen passes. The question is that with so many competing at that position (left guard), how many reps will he get there? And will he improve enough to win the starting job?Tom Compton seemed to have the inside track at the starting LG spot, but he looked outmatched with the first team against Denver, and although Mike Zimmer gave him some light praise (he’s not going to criticize individual player performance much in press conferences), I suspect they may be looking more seriously at LG alternatives, which I expect will include Danny Isidora, Josh Andrews, and Aviante Collins.I suspect Collins’ roster spot is fairly safe at this point, as he can play any position except center along the offensive line. And maybe that’s the best spot for him - as a backup tackle or guard. But he may also turn out to be the best option at left guard if he continues to improve there with more reps.

The Browns were bit by too many turnovers last year, and Tyrod Taylor is known for protecting the football. Most exciting rookie:CB Denzel Ward. As the No. 4 overall pick, he is expected to be a Day 1 starter. Fans will already be rooting for him as an Ohio State product, but he also adds a physical man-press presence to the defense that defensive coordinator Gregg Williams needs for the rest of his defensive strategies to fall into place.Position battle to keep an eye on:Left tackle. After the retirement of future Hall of Famer Joe Thomas, this is the only position battle taking place on offense. Will it be Shon Coleman, last year’s starting right tackle? Will it be Austin Corbett, the team’s second-round pick this year? Or could veteran left guard Joel Bitonio finally make the switch over to left tackle?Biggest storyline heading into training camp:Hard Knocks being in Berea will be a storyline in itself, as Cleveland fans are excited to see some of the inner workings of the organization, the emotion of the players, how the coaches handle matters, etc. A reasonable alternative is the fact that it was just announced that Josh Gordon will miss the start of camp as part of his treatment plan, but the ambiguity of the whole situation will definitely be a big talking point heading into camp now.Under-the-radar storyline heading into training camp:Despite all the improvements the Browns have made this offseason, has the safety position been addressed enough? The assumption is that Jabrill Peppers will actually get to move to strong safety this year after frustratingly being stuck 30 yards deep all of last year, but will Gregg Williams go through with that? Also, Damarious Randall, who had been acquired from the Packers, has been a cornerback in the NFL. Will his switch to free safety work as smoothly as everyone hopes?Notable injuries heading into training camp:LB Mychal Kendricks and P Britton Colquitt were dealing with some minor injuries this offseason, but both are expected to be fine for some or all of training camp.***The Saints’ home opener is against a (likely) Tyrod Taylor-led Cleveland Browns. It’s to be determined if that fares better for the Saints or not.So what says you, you unbiased Saints fans? Do the Saints win their second game at home, or will the Browns spoil the first game in the Dome? Vote in the poll. Explain in the comments. The New Orleans Saints host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams in what is easily the biggest matchup in the NFC this season and arguably the best matchup in the NFL this year. The winner takes sole possession of the top spot in the conference, while the loser may spend much of the season playing catch-up and fending off contenders for a first-round bye.Despite more hype and hyperbole in other matchups, make no mistake, Saints/Rams is clearly the biggest game of the week, and arguably the biggest regular season game of the year.In fact Youth Alex Okafor Jersey , it would be far from surprising for this to only be the first meeting between these teams, as a playoff rematch could easily be in the stars for these teams. With a win here, the Saints can make it even more likely that potential rematch could take place in New Orleans as well.Let’s take a look at this and all of the upcoming Week 9 action.Last week I went 13-1 I told you so: Panthers over Ravens (UGH)!What do I know: Bucs over Bengals?***WEEK 9Thursday, November 1st - Thursday Night FootballRaiders(1-6) at 49ers(1-7)This Day of the Dead matchup is appropriate, considering these Bay Area rivals have been dead all season. This Thursday Night dud should be put six feet under.San Francisco wins 17-16.Pick: 49ers***Sunday, November 4th - Early GamesBears(4-3) at Bills(2-6)Buffalo’s ineffective offense will be sacrificed to Chicago’s punishing attack in this one.Chicago wins 24-7.Pick: Bears***Buccaneers(3-4) at Panthers(5-2)While many claim Fitzmagic is back, we’re more likely to see the Fitztragic we all know and love against the Carolina defense.Carolina wins 31-14.Pick: Panthers***Chiefs(7-1) at Browns(2-5-1)Newly-minted head coach Gregg Williams’ top-ten defense, anchored by All-Pro interior linemen Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh.The duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram will need to wear down the talented Rams defensive line.Much of that will come by way of the Saints’ supremely talented offensive line, which will need to be at its best to protect Drew Brees.Look for a solid day by Brees, passing for 278 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. This one will be close and tense most of the way, but the Saints will find that extra gear late in the second half, allowing them to separate and win by 10, in front of an exhilarated home crowd.Putting themselves in the driver’s seat in the NFC by day’s end.Saints win 34-24.Pick: Saints***Sunday Night FootballPackers(3-3-1) at Patriots(6-2) It’s star-power over substance in this Sunday Night “marquee” matchup. The story is Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers of course, and that matchup overshadows Pats vs. Pack. There may be better, more crucial games (like Saints/Rams), but this was destined to be “The Big One” as soon as the schedule-makers landed on this date. The game won't be bad by any means, but the hype behind Brady/Rodgers will be hard to live up to.New England is just doing what they usually do, but Green Bay’s record is not looking great, and a loss here puts them in a rough spot.Rodgers may outduel Brady, since he has to carry the team, but Brady picks up the win.New England wins 28-23.Pick: Patriots***Monday, November 5th - Monday Night FootballTitans(3-4) at Cowboys(3-4)This one will be a plodding, defensive affair, and the combined passing yardage may not get over 300 yards, but Dallas will get enough from their rushing attack and their defense to get the win.Dallas wins 24-21.Pick: Cowboys***That’s how I see Week 9 shaping up.Hopefully, the Saints will keep their winning streak rolling along, while snapping the Rams’ streak in the process.Leave us your picks, comments, and insight below!

Week 2 was crazy across the NFL Cheap Drew Brees Jersey , The New Orleans Saints picked up their first victory of the year after surviving the Cleveland Browns, who missed two field goals and two extra points. The 21-18 win was an important first step for Sean Payton’s squad, but they clearly have a ways to go. Here’s a look at the snap count detail and playing time percentage for the black and gold. (Note: All data is provided by the NFL)OffenseMax Unger, Larry Warford, Ryan Ramczyk, Terron Armstead, Drew Brees - 66 (100%) Brees went 28-of-35 for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns. His rating was 114.6, and was sacked three times on the afternoon.Andrus Peat - 60 (91%)Michael Thomas - 58 (88%)Thomas overcame an early fumble to turn in 12 catches for 89 yards (7.4 yards per reception) and 2 touchdowns on 13 targets. Thomas’ 28 receptions through the first two games is a new NFL record, which was previously held by Andre Rison (26) in 1994.Benjamin Watson - 54 (84%)Watson had 3 catches for 19 yards on 5 targets.Alvin Kamara - 51 (77%)The Saints didn’t have a strong ground attack, but Kamara led the way with 46 yards on 13 attempts (3.5 yards per carry). He had a two-point conversion to go along with 6 grabs for 53 yards on 6 targets. He also fielded a punt due to the Tommylee Lewis injury.Josh Hill - 39 (59%)Hill had a lone reception for 5 yards on his one target.Austin Carr - 32 (48%)One target for Carr, which could have been that touchdown. It drew an interference call that did set the Saints up with a 1st and Goal, however.Ted Ginn Jr. - 30 (45%)Ginn also fumbled, but finished with 4 grabs for 55 yards on 7 targets. That long pass play of 42 yards set up the eventual game-winning field goal. However, it wasn’t a strong showing for Ginn, who didn’t seem anywhere on par with Drew Brees on the three misses.Zach Line, Tre’Quan Smith - 22 (33%)Line had a lone reception for 4 yards, and Smith got the first reception of his NFL career for 18 yards, but was targeted just once.Mike Gillislee - 9 (14%)8 carries for 18 yards (2.3 yard average) - Mark Ingram is missed.Josh LeRibeus, Jermon Bushrod, Jonathan Williams - 6 (9%)Williams had a lone carry for -1 yards - Mark Ingram is missed.Marcus Williams - 1 (2%) Victory formationDefenseMarcus Williams - 62 (100%)Williams had 2 tackles, a pass defense, and an interception that he was 15 yards away from scoring on. The pick was reminiscent of what we saw during training camp.Marshon Lattimore, Ken Crawley - 61 (98%)Lattimore had 5 combined tackles, including a tackle for loss, while Crawley had 4 combined tackles, a tackle for loss, and a pass defense. The late Antonio Callaway touchdown saw Crawley get burned in coverage.Cameron Jordan - 60 (97%)Jordan picked up 2.0 sacks on the day, finishing with a stat line of 2 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 quarterback hits.Sheldon Rankins - 50 (81%)Rankins had the other sack for the Saints, and added 5 total tackles Cheap Marshon Lattimore Jersey , a tackle for loss, and 2 quarterback hits.A.J. Klein - 48 (77%)Klein tied for the team lead in tackles made in Week 2, finishing with 9 combined (6 solo). David Onyemata, Demario Davis - 42 (68%)Onyemata had 4 combined tackles, while Davis tied Klein for a team-high 9 combined tackles (3 solo). Davis also had a tackle for loss.Patrick Robinson - 41 (66%)5 combined tackles and a very questionable pass interference call that helped the Browns get into the end zone.Vonn Bell - 40 (65%)Another defensive player to finish with 5 combined tackles (tied with four players for second-highest in Week 2)Alex Okafor - 39 (63%)Manti Te’o - 35 (56%)Taylor Stallworth - 26 (42%)Alex Anzalone, Kurt Coleman, Marcus Davenport - 23 (37%)Mitchell Loewen - 4 (6%)P.J. Williams - 2 (3%)Special Teams (Top Reps)Craig Robertson, Taysom Hill - 23 (85%)Chris Banjo - 17 (63%)Justin Hardee - 16 (59%)J.T. Gray - 15 (56%) The New Orleans Saints begin the second half of their 2018 regular season riding a seven game winning streak. They start the back half of their schedule with a road trip to Cincinnati to face the 5-3 Bengals, who have lost two of their last three games. The Saints enter the game with the league's second highest scoring offense, averaging 34.9 points per game, and average over 400 yards of total offense. They oppose a Cincinnati defense that is dead last in yards given up (448 yards/game), and are giving up 29.6 points per contest. While this appears to be a matchup largely in favor of the NFC South leaders, let's have a closer look how well the Saints offense actually stacks up against the Bengals defense. SAINTS PASS OFFENSE vs. BENGALS PASS DEFENSE Photo by Elsa/Getty ImagesThe big news throughout New Orleans this week was Wednesday's signing of former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl wideout Dez Bryant. While it remains to be seen how much Bryant will contribute to the Saints offense, or even if he will suit up this weekend, he is expected to add another physical presence to the receiving corps. New Orleans is averaging 290 passing yards per game to rank 7th in the league, and quarterback Drew Brees is having one of the most efficient seasons of his storied career. Brees is completing just under 77% of his passes, and has thrown 18 touchdowns against just one interception. The future Hall of Famer's favorite target is third year wideout Michael Thomas, who is seemingly re-writing the team's record books with each passing week. Thomas has 70 receptions for 880 yards and five touchdowns so far, and has hauled in almost 89% of the passes in which he gets targeted. He has made many opposing defensive backs look helpless, including Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters, who he victimized for 211 receiving yards last week. Chuck Cook-USA TODAY SportsWhile Thomas has been nearly unstoppable over the last two seasons, another of Brees' weapons that makes defenses look foolish is Alvin Kamara. The reigning offensive rookie of the year has been targeted 66 times, catching 51 balls for 427 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. Kamara has not had over 50 yards receiving since a week three victory over Atlanta, in part due to his increased responsibility in the running game, but also due to defenses constructing their game plans to contain him. That strategy has allowed opportunity for the Saints other targets to flourish, but the results have been inconsistent at best. Tight end Ben Watson is third on the team in targets (32), receiving yards (292), and receptions (26), a big dropoff from the production of Thomas and Kamara. Rookie receiver Tre'quan Smith is carving out a bigger role in the offense in the continued absence of the injured Ted Ginn. He has 12 catches for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns, and looks like he will play a key part of the Saints offense down the stretch. Wide receiver Cameron Meredith, an offseason free agent signing http://www.saintscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-larry-warford-jersey , was placed on injured reserve on Thursday for a knee injury to clear a spot in the lineup for Bryant. New Orleans has one of the best offensive lines in the league, and have allowed their veteran quarterback a clean pocket to pick apart opposing defenses. Brees has been sacked only 9 times against some of the NFL's top pass rushers, and often isn't even hurried as he goes through his progressions. Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty ImagesNew Orleans will face a Cincinnati pass defense that is the league's worst. The Bengals have allowed over 300 yards passing in six of their eight games, and opponents are averaging 319 yards per game through the air. Cincinnati has intercepted opposing quarterback 10 times, led by their safety combination of Shawn Williams and rookie Jessie Bates, who have 3 each. The team's cornerbacks have especially struggled, despite having three former number 1 draft picks at the position. Dre' Kirkpatrick (drafted 2012), Darqueze Dennard (2014), and William Jackson III (2016) do not have an interception among them, and have been especially vulnerable down the field. The Bengals can pressure the passer despite their issues in coverage. They have brought down the quarterback 21 times, led by end Carlos Dunlap (7 sacks) and tackle Geno Atkins (6 sacks), son of former NFL safety Gene Atkins, who played for the Saints from 1987-93. Cincinnati also added end Sam Hubbard (2 sacks) in the 3rd round of the draft, and still have athletic veteran end Michael Johnson to add pressure from the edge.Photo by John Grieshop/Getty Images~ Matchup to Watch: Saints offensive line vs. Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap ~ Atkins and Dunlap, both in their 9th seasons, are two disruptive pass rushers who have the ability to wreck an opponent's pass pocket. They have a combined 138.5 career sacks, including 13 this year. Saints tackles Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk are among the top edge tandem in the league, and will take on the task of controlling Dunlap, along with Hubbard and Michael Johnson on the outside. The challenge of containment on Atkins and Cincinnati's interior rush will fall to center Max Unger, and guards Larry Warford and Andrus Peat. The Saints line allowed only 1 sack in the three games since their bye week against the formidable pass rushes of Baltimore, Minnesota, and Los Angeles. The Bengals defensive line is more adept at rushing the passer than their abilities against the run, setting up a potential dominant scenario for the New Orleans front five. SAINTS RUN OFFENSE vs. BENGALS RUN DEFENSE Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty ImagesThe Saints have the 15th ranked rushing attack, averaging 112 yards per game, but has the sixth most rushing attempts in the league. The Saints offensive line has bullied opponents, enabling them to control the pace of the game and setting a physical tone. Kamara has been the team's leading rusher, gaining 490 yards on the ground, averaging 4.4 yards per carry, and scoring 9 rushing touchdowns. Veteran Mark Ingram has not yet produced at the level he is accustomed to over the last few years since his return from suspension, but he has 181 yards and two scores, and is certainly still a key part of the offense. Taysom Hill has gone from being a gadget player to an important part of short yard and goal line packages for New Orleans. Hill has picked up 133 rushing yards Cheap Ryan Ramczyk Jersey , and provides a legitimate threat to the defense when in the game, which relieves some of the defensive focus on Ingram and Kamara. Aaron Doster-USA TODAY SportsThe Bengals defense has allowed opposing rushers nearly 5 yards per carry, and have given up 128 yards on the ground per game to rank near the bottom of the league's rankings. The team's defensive line has struggled at the point of attack, which has allowed opposing offensive linemen to get blocks on Cincinnati's linebackers. To make matters worse, linebacker Nick Vigil, one of their leading tacklers, will sit out this game with a knee injury. Preston Brown is a solid middle 'backer, but has been caught up in traffic in pursuit due to the failures of the linemen in front of him. Vincent Rey replaces Vigil in the lineup, but he struggles to shed blocks or to keep up with backs coming out of the backfield. Vontaze Burfict makes most of the headlines for the Cincinnati defense, but often for the wrong reasons. Known as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL, Burfict is actually an athletically gifted player, but one who is often undisciplined and frequently caught out of position. Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty Images~ Matchup to Watch: Ingram/Kamara vs. LB's Burfict/Brown/Rey ~Even though Ingram has yet to get on track, the Bengals defense has struggled with physical running backs. Defensive tackles Atkins, Andrew Billings, and Adolphus Washington have struggled to establish themselves inside, and their linebackers and safeties are often out of position, leading to big plays in the open field. The Bengals are already missing one starter, Vigil, and Burfict has been hobbled all week by a hip injury. WHAT TO LOOK FOR:Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty ImagesThis certainly looks like a major mismatch in favor of New Orleans, at least on paper. Remember though that the Saints offense has struggled in this exact situation in year's past; on the road against what looks to be an inferior opponent. Expect New Orleans to startphysical and aggressively to establish momentum early. Although the newly signed Bryant may not play, the Saints will look to get Michael Thomas involved early against a struggling Cincinnati secondary, especially with Dennard slowed by a shoulder injury. New Orleans certainly must avoid the turnovers that the Bengals have been able to force in the games that their defense has played well. The Saints have dominated the trenches against the physical fronts of Washington, Baltimore, Minnesota, and Los Angeles over the last month, and expect to do the same in this game. The Bengals defense is last in the league in 3rd down percentage, giving up an astonishing 55.9%, and a balanced Saints attack could equal that. With the opportunity to put some distance between themselves and division rival Carolina after the Panthers loss to the Steelers on Thursday night, expect the New Orleans offensive stars to shine and take control of this game early.
