Authentic Derek Carrier Jersey

Jon Gruden reprogramming Derek Carr: Did Raiders QB show enough against Browns to build on vs Chargers? Jon Gruden’s top priority with his return to coach the Oakland Raiders again was getting quarterback Derek Carr to play at or above the level at which he played in 2016 when he finished third in NFL MVP voting. That season Carr completed 52% of his deep balls for a rating of 117.6 and improved his rating under pressure to 70. Under new offensive coordinator Todd Downing in 2017 he completed just 35% of his deep balls with a quarterback rating of 71.4 while his rating under pressure fell to 40.8. These are two stats QB’s have to do at least reasonably well in if they are going to successfully carry their teams. In the first four games of this season Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey , Carr has thrown it all over the yard for 1,373 yards and completed 66.7 percent of his deep balls for a 98.6 rating on such passes. On the other hand he’s thrown an NFL-leading seven INT’s to just six TD’s while his rating under pressure is just 35; a major reason the Raiders are 1-3 right now. This is the start of a rebuild which includes the reprogramming of Carr in a complex offensive system. Pressure speeds QB’s up through their progressions and Carr is in a new system so his mind hasn’t caught up yet. There are also miscommunications due to the system being based on reads his receivers have to be on the same page with. “There has been a lot of work put in by everybody, not just me,” Carr said Wednesday. “We’ll have one or two here where we’re still learning stuff or like ‘oh man, we have to cover that more or let’s talk about this situation more.’ “Through the first four games, we’re knocking some rust off, we’re knocking some things off that we’re learning on the fly. At the same time, I still feel like we’re doing some good things, moving the ball-wise and completing passes, running efficiently Womens Derek Carr Jersey , protecting. All the things that are important and not easy to do. I feel like we’re in a good place, but I still feel like we could be a lot better.”Another part of the problem that has nothing to do with the system is Carr’s ball-placement, which hasn’t been nearly on the level of 2016. That season he was throwing dimes all over the field but especially in the red zone and his back-shoulder fade’s were right up there with the best QB’s in the NFL. Carr also led his receivers perfectly to the back line of the end zone, where only his guy can get it. This year, he has made throws right to the defender in the end zone against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 and against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.He had his issues in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns including throwing a couple of picks. But he seemed to start getting his groove back during that game, throwing four TD’s. He threw a dime to WR Amari Cooper, another to WR Jordy Nelson and two to tight end Jared Cook. That dime to Nelson for the 2-point conversion to tie was reminiscent of the one he threw to Michael Crabtree in 2016 against the New Orleans Saints. His TD passes also show he’s getting the ball-placement back that was completely missing the first three games. This is important because 38 points the offense put up against the Browns raised their points-per-game average from 17 to 24.25 points per game at the quarter-mark. Gruden can still game-plan and coach with the best of them but needs Carr, who’s learning his fourth offense in five years, and the rest of the offense, to catch up. Defenses have made things difficult http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/rodney-hudson-jersey , speeding up Carr’s progressions with pressure. The Raiders still have work to do in that department but the Browns game showed they’re getting closer.“There are some things that me reading body language and knowing how they run routes and things like that has helped,” Carr said of his progress with his receivers. “There are still things that is new stuff we haven’t done before. Obviously, some of us have done it at one time or another but not together. With all the adjustments and things that coach puts on us, there’s absolutely a learning curve even though we’ve been together for a while.”So have they learned enough to beat the Los Angeles Chargers?Carr is 8-4 against in 12 games over his career against his AFC West rivals. He’s completed 62.3 percent of his passes against them for 1,891 yards, 13 TDs, 7 INTs and a QB rating of 89. While Cooper averages 20.6 yards per catch with three touchdowns in 10 games against them. The Chargers have the No. 21-ranked pass defense thus far, giving up a QB rating of 100.9. That is by the worst pass defense the Raiders have faced this year. So the Chargers defense may be just what the doctor ordered for Carr to build on his Week 4 performance and win.For the Raiders to have a chance to win, it will likely be a shoot-out with the defense they have. This week’s turning point play of the game is Melvin Gordon’s 66-yard touchdown catch and run to lead off the third quarter. The touchdown brought the score to 17-3 and was a back breaking moment for the defense especially when for the most part they did enough to put the team in a position to win. After scoring a touchdown in their final possession of the first half, the Chargers received the ball to start the second half and scored again.“They doubled on us again Authentic Derek Carrier Jersey , we have been doubled up way too many times when opponents score on the last possession of the first half and the opening possession of the second half,” said Jon Gruden. “It is a lot for us to overcome right now, when we want to become one dimensional.”The Raiders were bringing the house on the play, leaving the secondary in man-to-man coverage.Rivers the savvy veteran quarterback that he is recognized the pressure and quickly got the ball out to his running back in the flat.Gordon did the rest, breaking a Gareon Conley tackle and making Reggie Nelson look like a fool with a great juke move on his way to the end zone. The Raiders defense has been susceptible to big plays all year.Missed tackles and missed assignments have been a major cause. The coaching staff has questioned Conley’s ability to tackle but in this case, Gruden had some words of encouragement for his young cornerback.“We had a man that was in coverage who didn’t peal off and cover him. It put Conley in a tough spot,” said Gruden. “Conley was covering his guy. We tried to read out of our coverage and make a tackle in the open air against Melvin Gordon is a hard thing to do. We had an error on that play and it cost us,”

Where does your team sit in the playoff hunt? Two years ago, the Raiders reversed nearly 15 seasons of futility by making it to the playoffs with a nucleus of young talent consisting of a first-round pick in 2014 (Khalil Mack) and 2015 (Amari Cooper). They’re now both gone, six games into Jon Gruden’s first season with the team. The decision to dump both players will serve only to fuel speculation that 2014 second-round pick Derek Carr could be next. The question becomes whether Carr would be cut or traded in 2019. (A trade over the next eight days would be stunning, even by the standard Gruden has established in his brief time back in Oakland.) As previously explained, Carr could be cut before the third day of the 2019 waiver period (i.e., the third day after the next Super Bowl) with no further obligation to Carr and a 2019 cap charge of $7.5 million. After the third day of the waiver period, Carr’s $19.9 million salary for 2019 becomes fully guaranteed. But if another team covets Carr sufficiently to absorb that commitment and to give the Raiders value, the Raiders and another team could reach a technically-unenforceable Alex Smith-style trade, announcing the tentative deal during the week before the Super Bowl (for example), holding Carr until the new league year begins in March Womens Kelechi Osemele Jersey , and sending his $19.9 million to a new team. With 2020-22 salaries of $18.9 million, $19.525 million, and $19.777519 million, respectively (and annual workout bonuses of $100,000), a new team would be inheriting a four-year, $78.5 million. That’s an average of $19.6 million per year, which equates to roughly 58.5 percent of the new high-water mark for the quarterback market set earlier this year by Aaron Rodgers.Of course, that would leave the Raiders without a quarterback. Despite the ongoing flood from college football of competent young quarterbacks, Gruden likely would want a Rich Gannon-style veteran, who would be entrusted with an offense that (as Chris Simms always says) Gruden regards as a Ferrari — and that Gruden wants no one to scratch. The ultimate question is whether Gruden will continue to scratch an itch that has seen dramatic turnover with the Raiders, to the point where the would-be franchise quarterback potentially becomes the franchise’s next former key young player.

Stafford hasn't missed a start since the 2010 season.Washington had 110 carries for the Lions over the past two seasons http://www.lionscheapstore.com/ricky-wagner-jersey-cheap , but Detroit tried to bolster its running game this offseason by adding free agent LeGarrette Blount and drafting Kerryon Johnson in the second round.Lions-Jets Week 1 snap counts highlight team’s 2nd-round pick failures Here are the snap counts and some observations from the Detroit Lions’ Week 1 game against the New York JetsOffense:QuarterbacksMatthew Stafford: 63 (90%)Matt Cassel: 7 (10%)Running backsTheo Riddick: 41 (59%)Kerryon Johnson: 16 (23%)LeGarrette Blount: 13 (19%)FullbacksNick Bellore: 6 (9%) — 18 (56%)Tight endsLevine Toilolo: 20 (29%) — 5 (16%)Hakeem Valles: 18 (26%)Luke Willson: 14 (20%) — 14 (44%)Michael Roberts: 14 (20%) — 9 (28%)Wide receiversKenny Golladay: 65 (93%)Marvin Jones Jr.: 62 (89%)Golden Tate: 57 (81%)TJ Jones: 17 (24%)Bradley Marquez: 7 (10%)— 18 (56%)Offensive tacklesTaylor Decker: 70 (100%) — 5 (16%)Rick Wagner: 70 (100%) — 5 (16%)Guards/centersGraham Glasgow: 70 (100%) — 5 (16%)Frank Ragnow: 70 (100%) — 5 (16%)T.J. He only played 16 total snaps, and it may have been even less had starter LeGarrette Blount not gotten benched/hurt. Blount did go down with an injury, but the teamlater said they didn’t have an injury to report for Blount. Based on my own observations, it looked like they were subbing in Johnson immediately, before they realized Blount was even hurt. On the play he was injured, Blount fumbled the ball—though officials rules his forward progress stopped. All of this is to say that I think Blount was simply benched, not injured, and it may mean more Johnson going forward. Good to see the offensive line finally play an entire game togeth—oh hell... Expectations were low for tight end Luke Willson after an underwhelming training camp. Apparently the coaches saw the same thing http://www.lionscheapstore.com/t.j.-lang-jersey-cheap , as Willson played in just 14 snaps, the lowest of all four tight ends—tied with Michael Roberts, who has been just as big of a disappointment. In the past two years, Glover Quin has played 100 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in 67 of 80 games. Either his age is catching up with him or he’ll have a decreased role due to Quandre Diggs’ emergence, but either way he just played 67 percent of snaps on Monday. After scratching A’Shawn, the Lions leaned heavily on their two veteran defensive tackles. Williams (age 29) and Francois (31) both played over 75 percent of snaps. I can’t imagine their bodies can withhold that kind of workload for an entire season. After Ziggy went down early, we mostly saw Kerry Hyder on the right edge. Not exactly a great situation for this defense to be in considering Hyder is coming off a torn Achilles.

Back before the season began www.lionsauthorizedshops.com , we asked Detroit Lions fans how much better the rushing game would be. With a new offensive line coach, a first-round draft pick spent on the line (Frank Ragnow) and a rookie running back (Kerryon Johnson) expectations were high that Detroit would finally put an end to that pesky 100-yard rusher drought that hung around since 2013.It took Johnson just three games to finally break that barrier, and he just did it again on Sunday—in the first half, no less. Back in the lead up to Week 1, Lions fans predicted Detroit would only break that 100-yard threshold twice in 2018. 35 percent of fans predicted they’d do it 1-2 times and 33 percent said 3-4 times. Now it’s time to re-adjust our expectations.Today’s Question of the Day is:How many 100-yard rushing games will a Detroit Lions back have in 2018?To clear things up, I’m talking about a Lions individual hitting the 100-yard mark Detroit Lions Womens T-Shirt , not a combined team effort here. Also, we’re including the two games that have already happened. Lions coach Matt Patricia has taken some shots over the last 24 hours for having his team practice outdoors in the snow and cold yesterday, even though Detroit’s next four games are in domes. Today Patricia shot back.Patricia began his press conference today with a prepared statement about why he decided to have his team practice outdoors on a cold, snowy day, stating that he thinks players benefit from having to focus on their footwork.“Mud, snow Detroit Lions Hats , loose grass, whatever the case may be, focuses most of the skill players to keep their feet underneath them and play technically sound,” Patricia said.Patricia clearly did not appreciate members of the media questioning his practice habits. He made a snarky reference to “all the head coaches in the room,” implying that reporters think they could coach a team better than he can. And he made it clear he doesn’t appreciate addressing questions about his decisions about the Lions’ practices.“There’s no more discussion and no more conversation about it. I’d like to move on,” Patricia said. The reality for Patricia Detroit Lions Womens Hoodie , however, is that he’s a first-year head coach who inherited a 9-7 team and currently has that team at 3-6. If he wants everyone to move on, he can accomplish that with wins, not words.

Cornerback Aqib Talib targeted this Sunday’s game against the Lions for his return from an ankle injury a while ago Authentic Jarrad Davis Jersey , but head coach Sean McVay took a more cautious approach to questions about when Talib would be back in the lineup.Talib was officially designated to return from injured reserve this week and he took part in practice with the team on Wednesday. It seems to have gone well because McVay has moved to a more optimistic tone.McVay said on Wednesday that he anticipates having Talib in the lineup against Detroit. McVay said that the veteran looked good in practice, but there hasn’t been a determination about how much Talib will play at this point.Sam Shields, Troy Hill and Nickell Robey-Coleman have seen the majority of the time at corner alongside Marcus Peters since Talib was injured and the determination about Talib’s playing time will affect how much they see the field as well. Last week, I already declared that the Detroit Lions “won” the trade deadline by trading for Damon Harrison Sr. While I stand by that take, it’s also clear that that single transaction didn’t push the Lions over the top, as they got handled by the Seahawks on Sunday Authentic Frank Ragnow Jersey , even with “Snacks” having a very good game. Now the trade deadline sits a few hours away, and many are wondering if the LIons aren’t quite done yet. Rumors have already been swirling about the fate of wide receiver Golden Tate, for which there are reportedly multiple teams interested in acquiring. So far, those rumors appear to be just that, rumors, but sometimes where there’s smoke there’s fire. So today’s Question of the Day is:Should the Lions make another move at the trade deadline? My answer: While the Lions certainly could use more help—especially on the defensive side of the ball (ie: cornerback http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/sam-martin-jersey , edge rusher)—I just don’t think it’s worth it at this point. Unless they could somehow pull of another grand larceny type of trade where they could get a solid defensive back for a fifth round pick—and considering it cost the Saints a fourth and seventh to acquire Eli Apple, I find that very unlikely—it’s just not worth it.As wide open as the NFC North is this year, this team is supposed to be building for championships, not division titles. Right now, this team isn’t playing like it’s destined for a championship. Certainly that can change, but at this point Authentic Ziggy Ansah Jersey , we’ve seen the Lions lose four games, three of which they were manhandled in. Sending away draft pick after draft pick to acquire short-term talent is not how to build a winning franchise, so I’m just not in favor of being buyers at any significant cost this year.As for being sellers, I think all of that is nonsense right now. You’d have to get at least a second-round pick for Golden Tate for it to be worth it, in my opinion, and that deal is not likely to come. As for anyone else on the roster Womens Michael Roberts Jersey , they’re likely too important to the future of this team (Darius Slay) or won’t get you enough on the open market to be worth it in a trade (Ameer Abdullah). So I think the Lions should stand pat during Tuesday, and I’d be pretty surprised if they make another move. Your turn.

College football is getting a new bowl game starting in 2020. It’ll be called the Myrtle Beach Bowl Youth Vic Beasley Jr Jersey , and it’ll be played not quite in Myrtle Beach, but close enough to it. Conference USA, the MAC, and the Sun Belt will each play in the bowl four times between 2020 and 2025. ESPN won’t just televise the bowl (as it does almost all bowls); it’ll also own and operate the bowl (as it does with about one third of bowls). It sounds like a nice idea. The game will be at Coastal Carolina’s Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C., just a 20- or 30-minute drive down U.S. Route 501 from the heart of Myrtle Beach. I just hope the bowl organizers weren’t planning on setting up a website at MyrtleBeachBowl.com, because that’s already taken. Not by some internet squatter, but by actual Myrtle Beach Bowl, a bowling alley: KIDS BOWL FREE!FUN HAPPENS HERE!The Myrtle Beach Bowl football game might offer cheap tickets or whatever, but can it possibly offer better value than what the original Myrtle Beach Bowl offers at that time of year? You can be the judge of that http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-matt-bryant-jersey , but the answer is no, it absolutely cannot: How would you prefer to spend your December days in Myrtle Beach? At Myrtle Beach Bowl? Or at the Myrtle Beach Bowl? It’s a question consumers in costal South Carolina will soon have to answer for themselves.Falcons vs. Bengals: This week’s big question revolves around the safeties For all the questions facing the Falcons both now and in the future, few loom large than safety play. Atlanta has significant room for improvement in terms of their pass rush, need to figure out if Wes Schweitzer can hold up all year at left guard, and will keep a watchful eye on Duke Riley’s development, but the hits have been heaviest at a position that just four weeks ago featured Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen. With both of those high-end players lost for the year, the Falcons will turn to Damontae Kazee and Jordan Richards to start, with Keith Tandy and Sharrod Neasman waiting in the wings in case they’re needed. There is no universe in which this isn’t a real downgrade, even if Kazee has shown real promise and quality play through 2.25 weeks thus far, and those safeties will be tested almost immediately this week against Cincinnati. Why? Cincinnati’s set to be minus A.J. Green Black Deion Jones Jersey , potentially, but have solid tight ends and a capable receiving back in Giovanni Bernard. Those TEs and Bernard figure to see plenty of Kazee and Richards, and Richards in particular is a well-known liability in coverage the Bengals will be keen to exploit. Again, Kazee should be fine. There are hiccups to be expected with a young player, but my concern is with how Richards will hold up. Chances are he won’t get too many weeks as a starter if he can’t hold steady early on, so this will be a pivotal game for him. If he falters and falters badly—and if Neasman and/or Tandy do the same if they get into the game—the Falcons are in trouble again on defense, and will likely have to face more uncomfortable questions about their unwillingness to try to substantially upgrade the position. So watch those safeties, is what I’m saying, and Jordan Richards in particular.

Central Florida hasn’t lost a college football game in nearly two years. And that’s how we got a College Gameday showdown featuring the University of Cincinnati. The Bearcats travel to Orlando for a showdown between two top 25 teams with one loss between them Black Brian Poole Jersey , and ESPN’s flagship program will be there to greet them Saturday morning. College Gameday will visit the (formerly Golden) Knights for the first time ever November 17, putting the nation’s longest active winning streak under a national spotlight. The program tends to make at least one trip to a smaller program every year, and why not the defending Peach Bowl champs? Plus, this weekend’s schedule lends itself to such a trip, with only a couple other ranked games elsewhere.UCF has handled its transition from former head coach Scott Frost with aplomb, running up a 9-0 record and the 11th position in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings. But Cincinnati has the chops to challenge its iron grip atop the American Athletic Conference. The Bearcats are 9-1 behind a high-powered rushing offense led by tailback Michael Warren II and dual-threat quarterback Desmond Ridder. UC is capable of putting up plenty of points in a hurry, having dropped 34+ in six of its 10 games this fall. Then again, UCF’s lowest-scoring game of the season came in a 31-30 win over Memphis. Expect points Saturday night.Cincinnati vs. Central Florida prediction:The S&P+ ratings see UCF as the nation’s seventh-best team. One-loss Cincinnati clocks in at 29th thanks to a dearth of quality wins. This is the Knights’ showcase game; don’t expect a club clawing and scratching for respect to forget that. Add in the Bearcats’ weak schedule to this point, and all signs point to a Central Florida victory.Time, TV channel http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-robert-alford-jersey , and streaming infoTime: 8 p.m. ETLocation: Spectrum Stadium, Orlando, FLTV: ABCStreaming: WatchESPN,fuboTVOdds: Central Florida is favored by eight points.Cincinnati vs. Central Florida news:Paul Finebaum actually praised UCF this week, which is as much a reason as any to bet on Cincinnati.Down the Drive simulated UC-UCF five times and came away with a surprising winner (it was the Bearcats).UCF had a boring gameplan to beat Navy, because that’s all it takes to beat Navy in 2018. Cincinnati gave up a few big plays last week, but their defense could be the key to a season-ruining win in Orlando. How many points are we going to see Saturday night?Part of the allure for College GameDay is that Week 12’s game between the Bearcats and Knights is nearly guaranteed to be a fireworks display. These two teams, on average, combine for more than 1,000 yards of offense per game Youth Devonta Freeman Jersey , and shaky defenses mean Saturday’s winner could simply be the team who has the ball last. UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton has scored 29 touchdowns in nine games this fall. His UC counterpart Ridder has 20. Those two gunslingers will get the chance to shoot on a national stage Saturday night, and one could walk off the field in Orlando a star. Rutgers scored a touchdown against Michigan, and not just any touchdown, a really long touchdown. Isaih Pacheco scoring that touchdown was highly unexpected, due to the recent nature of both teams. This is easily the longest offensive play Michigan’s allowed all season. Previously, they’d only allowed one play over 50 yards and none over 60 this year. For Rutgers, they’ve only had one play since 80-plus yards since 2014. They haven’t had a play over 50 yards yet this season. For these reasons, this play deserves a breakdown. Rutgers offensive coordinator John McNulty has shown some interesting creativity in spots this season when his team is hilariously out-talented. On the 80-yard play, Rutgers uses Michigan’s trademark aggression against them.Basically, the Scarlet Knights get everyone flowing to their left besides two players. Rutgers leaves defensive end Chase Winovich (red box) unblocked Youth Alex Mack Jersey , and they take care of him with motion by one of the players out of the backfield. They get the bonus because safety Tyree Kinnel rotates down hard into run support as well. Pacheco makes a cutback move, and it’s all over. From the end zone angle: my God, look at this hole and note how safety Brad Hawkins is apparently calling things out. But he’s too late actually pursuing the play and reacts a beat late. From there, Pacheco ever so slightly uses the ref as a screen to bust out on the second level. And a big shoutout goes to Pacheco for finishing the run.Pacheco was basically the entire offense for Rutgers. The running back has been primed for a breakout all season, and this was it against arguably the best defense in college football. He had 142 of Rutgers’ 193 sack-adjusted rushing yards, 80 of which came on this play. Rutgers certainly didn’t win, but on this play they showed they can score a touchdown against Michigan at home. That’s something they didn’t do the last time these two teams met at the birthplace of the sport.

Falcons cuts tracker: The 2018 road to a 53 man roster The Atlanta Falcons could cut 37 players (or more) anytime between now and 4 p.m. on Saturday. When they do http://www.authenticsatlantafalcons.com/cheap-mohamed-sanu-jersey , we’ll be there to share the news with you and break down what the cuts mean, especially any surprises. This is always a sad time of year, because these guys aren’t just names and jersey numbers, but players with hopes and dreams and (hopefully) bright futures. The Falcons had a lot of interesting talents this summer who probably won’t hang on to one of the better rosters in the NFL at the moment, but they may join the practice squad or latch on with another team. I wish all of them well, without even knowing who they are.Reports below, but here’s are all the cuts we’ve seen so far.RB Malik Williams (Injury settlement) WR Christian Blake C/G Jamil DouglasG Sean HarlowG Salesi UhatafeT Austin PasztorDE Anthony Winbush DE J’Terius Jones CB Leon McFadden (Injury settlement) S Ron Parker Falcons 2018 roster cuts trackerThe Falcons cut down to a 52 man rosterIt’s official. 2017 preseason standout J’Terius Jones cutJones was one of the most impressive players in camp last season for the Falcons, but he had a much quieter preseason in 2018. He’s got the talent to latch on somewhere, so we’ll see where he lands. Austin Pasztor, Salesi Uhatafe releasedAustin Pasztor is gone, possibly leaving just Ty Sambrailo and Matt Gono on the final roster. Defensive end Anthony Winbush, who had a sack against the Dolphins, is also gone. Guard Salesi Uhatafe Atlanta Falcons Womens T-Shirt , who struggled throughout preseason, also got the axe. Finally, Leon McFadden reached an injury settlement with the Falcons. The team still has a ton of cornerbacks to sift through before 4 p.m. Saturday. Jamil Douglas released, Malik Williams headed for an injury settlement? The Falcons will only be keeping eight or nine linemen, and with Harlow and Jamil Douglas gone, an extra lineman won’t be the guy you expect. Malik Williams, who was impressive last night, may wind up getting an injury settlement, leaving Justin Crawford unchallenged for a practice squad spot or the final spot on the 53 man roster. Sean Harlow set to be cutHarlow was the team’s fourth round pick just a year ago, but he’s already apparently out of Atlanta, per D. Orlando Ledbetter at the AJC. There’s still a chance he’ll return to the practice squad. Team cuts Ron Parker, keep roster at 90Ron Parker announced on his Twitter account that he’s been cut by the Falcons, leaving Jordan Richards as the team’s fourth safety. Parker wasn’t going to get a lot of playing time on defense and offers less on special teams than Richards Atlanta Falcons Hats , and that plus his poor preseason play appears to have doomed him. Falcons trade for Jordan RichardsNo cuts yet, but the Falcons made a trade for safety Jordan Richards official. They’ll give up a conditional seventh rounder for the former second round pick, who is expected to back up Keanu Neal and play special teams. Richards is not an asset in coverage, and thus will be limited to early down work unless injury strikes.NFL power rankings: national media is still confident in the Atlanta Falcons Today is a bad day to be an Atlanta Falcons fan. We now know the Falcons defense will be without Deion Jones when they take on the Carolina Panthers this weekend. And while Jones might be able to play later in the season, he will be on IR until at least week 9. Meanwhile the Falcons just promoted Brian Hill from the practice squad, which doesn’t engender positive thoughts about Devonta Freeman’s status. So given all that, power rankings are probably the last thing you’re worrying about right now. But it’s Tuesday, so let’s break ‘em down!ESPN: 10th (down one spot)USA Today: 6th (down three spots)Sports Illustrated: 8th (same) CBS Sports: 11th (down four spots) NFL.com: 7th (up one spot) There’s one key takeaway here: the national media isn’t as worried about the Falcons as their fans are. These rankings obviously precede the news about Debo’s trip to IR and Hill’s promotion. And if the Falcons can’t get their act together on Sunday, I’d expect them to free fall in next week’s rankings. As always, we take these “rankings” with a grain of salt, inasmuch as this isn’t college football and they don’t actually matter. (In other words, save yourself the time and effort involved in typing out “who cares?!” or “these mean nothing!!”) Discuss!

Josh Rosen: The Distance Between Potential and Reality By: Ryan MichaelPro Football AnalystPublished: August 10th http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/corey-peters-jersey-cheap , 2018Ryan Michael is a Pro Football Analyst who specializes in quarterback statistics, analytics, film-study and interviews with NFL veterans. He has used his own era-adjusted metric, QBS2, to grade every qualifying starting quarterback since 1937. For more information, visit his website: www.quarterbackscore.webs.com and follow him on Twitter: @theryanmichael----------------------------------------------The distance between potential and reality is however long, or short, the player and organization enable it to be. Moving up from No. 15 to No. 10 in the 2018 NFL Draft cost the Arizona Cardinals a stick of Big Red and a bag of chips. They also moved up from Carson Palmer’s empty chair, to the $20,000,000 version of Sam Bradford and now...to Josh Rosen. He’ll have to wait of course. “I don’t waver that Sam is our starter. It’s his job to lose.” Wilks said. “Competition across the board makes you better and I wouldn’t have it any other way...I want Josh with the mentality he wants to start.”If I didn’t know any better, I’d say things are going according to plan. If I wanted to spin this faster than Rosen’s deep balls, I could tell you that the Cardinals filled Palmer’s shoes with a capable veteran who has proven he could succeed in this league. I could tell you that Bradford gives the Cardinals a chance today, and “The Rosen One” will give them a chance down the road, when the time is right.I believe in calling at cat Cheap Chandler Jones Jersey , a cat. With 32 teams, there aren’t enough great quarterbacks to go around. Bradford was a solid, albeit brittle and expensive signing for a team that was left with nothing. If there’s any truth to the chatter that they were eyeing the wrong Josh early on draft day, my apprehension would linger beyond training camp. Rosen falling to No. 10 was like hitting $10,000 on a scratch off after buying a cracked diamond and eyeing a cubic zirconia.Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.Studying quarterbacks is what I do: watch tape, crunch numbers, rinse, wash, repeat. At this stage, speculation is all we’re left with. So lets hedge some bets. Both history and common sense tell me that Rosen is more likely to be a bust, or an injury-bug than he is to be what I expect his potential could be.On paper, Rosen is the best pure passing prospect I’ve seen since Peyton Manning left the University of Tennessee 20 years ago. Manning was more accomplished, came from a vastly superior football college and was said to be born to play the position. The same cannot be said for Rosen, a former Tennis player, straight out of the half-empty Rose Bowl Youth Benson Mayowa Jersey , passionate about more than pigskin and primed to be a film-room irritant. Ignoring the fact that many of these criticisms are walking contradictions, some are simply nonsensical.Coming from a family of wealth means that he doesn’t need the game? Okay. Why not question the $20,000,000 man too? He’s earned $129,000,000 in his NFL career to-date, so if he sees limited snaps vs. the Chargers on Saturday, could it be because he doesn’t need the game or the contract-money?I would argue that playing a contact-sport through High School, then for 3 years at UCLA at ages 18-20 when he didn’t need to make a career of it is a very good example of passion for the game. But hey, what do I know? We’ll know a lot more once the preseason gets rolling. Rewarding Bradford with the label of “starter” before he’s taken a single Cardinals snap, to me, is a sign of insecurity. If he were as far ahead of Rosen as some have been led to believe, he’d earn that role with a dominant camp and a shower of preseason touchdown passes.Rosen can throw picks in practice. He wasn’t drafted to dink-and-dunk his way to “11 of 11” training camp #QBWINZ. With a rookie defensive-minded head coach and an offensive coordinator who coached an offense that ranked 31st in passer rating in 2017, Rosen’s gets to play behind an offensive line that ranked 31st in 2017 (via PFF), now down their starting center. The work starts now. Saturday night kicks off the preface.Update:Having read through the comment section Youth Gabe Holmes Jersey , it’s obvious that I wasn’t clear regarding my stance. My apologies for that.Rosen is the best pure passing prospect I’ve seen since Peyton Manning. I believe he should have been the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft and I think the majority of knocks against him are unwarranted. His thin frame and tendency to play “hero ball”, taking unnecessary hits, are greater concerns to me than any of the alleged “character” issues. I actually believe Rosen’s character is a major strength.I’m also higher on Sam Bradford than the tone of the article must have indicated. I think Rosen is likely to be the better Week 1 choice, but that doesn’t mean that I feel Bradford can’t do well.Thank you all for the feedback—both good and bad. When Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said that former Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford has a degenerative condition in his knee, it wasn’t #fakenews. Unless a new report regarding Bradford is, his most recent former team will have some explaining to do.Via Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Bradford hadn’t practiced in five weeks preceding his Saturday release by the Cardinals because his “left knee is basically bone on bone,” with no remaining cartilage due to two prior ACL repairs. But Bradford appeared on no injury reports during his time in Arizona. If he didn’t practice for five weeks due to a knee injury, he should have been listed.Bradford cleared waivers on Monday, leaving the Cardinals on the hook for the balance of his $5 million salary, and allowing him to sign elsewhere as a free agent. If his knee is that bad, it’s hard to imagine anyone signing him.And if his聽knee is that bad, it’s even harder to understand why the Cardinals gave him $15.9375 million for three games.

ChargersMonday, 8/13 3:00-5:15 PMSix little open practices left, including this Saturday’s Red and White “don’t call it a scrimmage” Practice. It is going to be quite a quick training camp for the fans, but it will also give the Cardinals a bit of time in order to get their affairs in order heading into the 2018 season. With so little time for open practices, what are you watching for in the short practices you are able to see?For me, it's been 100% on the wide receiver corps. I want to see if there's talent for this year that can help whoever is the quarterback, or if this will be a problem.Enjoy your evening. Will the Minnesota Vikings pick up where they left off, following their surge to the NFC championship game last season?Or will the Green Bay Packers rebound forcefully enough to take back the division they've mostly dominated for two decades? The annual report on the NFC North has almost always focused on the Packers, the Vikings or both of these fierce rivals since the NFL's most recent realignment produced the current eight-division format in 2002.With new head coaches in Detroit (Matt Patricia) and Chicago (Matt Nagy) this year, a big breakout by the Lions or Bears would be necessary to bump the Vikings and Packers from the lead story of 2018.The Vikings overcame early season knee injuries to quarterback Sam Bradford and running back Dalvin Cook to finish 13-3 and beat New Orleans on the last-second touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs, before the league's best defense was dissected and humbled by eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia in the NFC title game.Bradford and Keenum departed with Teddy Bridgewater as free agents, but the Vikings signed the best available replacement on the market in Kirk Cousins . They upgraded at defensive tackle with Sheldon Richardson, too Arizona Cardinals Hoodie , toting as many top-tier players in the 22-man starting lineup as any competitor in the NFL.With the aspiration of winning the Super Bowl for the first time in the franchise's 58-year history, the Vikings must be concerned about an entire NFC that's as stacked as ever. But for Minnesota, there's no greater competition, now or over the past quarter-century, than Green Bay.The Packers are past the pain of losing two-time league MVP award winner Aaron Rodgers, whose broken collarbone in the sixth game of the season effectively ended the dream scenario of hoisting the Super Bowl trophy on Minnesota's home turf.Five-time Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham has joined Green Bay's dangerous offense. As if Rodgers needed anymore motivation to go with his game-changing ability, the Vikings are the very team that knocked him out of action when linebacker Anthony Barr flattened him with a hard hit.So who's the favorite here? Well, the answer will start to form quickly, when the Vikings visit the Packers in the second game on Sept. 16.Here's a quick tour around the NFC North:TOUGH TASK: The pressure is heavy on Cousins to perform as well or better than Keenum did as a fill-in for Minnesota last fall. The offensive line is again carrying major question marks, with right guard Joe Berger retired and left guard Nick Easton likely out for the year with a neck injury. Center Pat Elflein has missed the entire preseason with his rehabilitation from shoulder and ankle surgeries moving slower than anticipated. The schedule is stiffer for the Vikings, too, with road trips to NFC powers Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Seattle and a visit to AFC champion New England."It's trying to just restart that process and make sure that we know that we're not just getting handed 13 wins," wide receiver Adam Thielen said. "Thirteen wins in the NFL is extremely difficult. It doesn't matter how good you are."SECONDARY? MORE LIKE PRIMARY: Since winning the Super Bowl nearly eight years ago, in Rodgers' third season as the starter, Green Bay has not been back. The pass defense has been the biggest culprit, and for a second straight year the front office used the top of the draft to add cornerbacks. Kevin King was the first pick in 2017, and Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson were the first two players off the board in 2018 . There's a new defensive coordinator now, too: Mike Pettine.Having a healthy Rodgers back was the biggest step the Packers could take toward returning to the playoffs, after their streak of eight straight appearances was stopped, but a deeper and stronger secondary was necessary to get back on that championship track."We all should be better for the negative experiences that we've encountered in the past Customized Arizona Cardinals Jerseys ," coach Mike McCarthy said.NEW BOSS: The Lions took two more significant steps toward lifting a lagging ground game by drafting Kerryon Johnson in the second round out of Auburn and signing LeGarrette Blount, who has carried the ball for two of the past three Super Bowl winners. There's no more important addition in Detroit than Patricia, though.Patricia was the defensive coordinator for the last six of his 14 seasons with New England, where he left with three Super Bowl rings. He's joining a franchise that has won one playoff game in the past 60 years, so the change in mindset and atmosphere he has brought to the Lions is even more important than his acumen in engineering a defense."He laid down the law. He gave us the rules, and he came in with energy," linebacker Jarrad Davis said. "He came in, made it clear, gave us the expectations, and now we have something we can chase."LETTING IT LOOSE: Over the past four regular seasons, the Vikings and Packers each went 39-25 and the Lions were close behind with a cumulative record of 36-28. The Bears went 19-45. That's why Nagy is here, after serving as the offensive coordinator in Kansas City last year. The most important part of his job for now will be guiding quarterback Mitchell Trubisky , the second overall pick in the 2017 draft who was brought along carefully after taking over as the starter midway through his rookie season. Trubisky was also handed three new targets: wide receivers Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel and tight end Trey Burton."Just go out there and play freely and let your instincts take over," Trubisky said. "And then when we make mistakes, just go back and learn from it."PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH: Vikings, Packers, Lions, Bears.

Self-Inflicting Wounds The Arizona Cardinals (0-4) are currently the only team in the NFL without a win Customized Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , their worst start since 1986.“[Seahawks] made the plays when given the opportunity and that’s the difference in the game,” Wilks said to the media on Monday. “We didn’t make the plays when given the opportunity.”Wilks gave the Seahawks the opportunity to win the game with 1:50 left on the clock, following the Cardinals’ missed field goal on their final drive. He acknowledged that the Cardinals had too many drops, missed tackles on defense, and was penalized a lot. No kidding. J.J. Nelson dropped a ball that should have been a long touchdown reception. Chad Williams made an incredible catch that would have been a touchdown had it not been for his foot landing out of bounds. Christian Kirk dropped a potential touchdown pass as well.Beyond the players, play calling was a very big problem too and Wilk continues to blame the players instead of holding himself and the coaching staff accountable.“What I was really trying to do was manage the clock there trying to get them less time as possible coming back and also trying to get those guys to use their timeout.”He accomplished his goal and the Seattle Seahawks were forced to use their timeout. But everything else went wrong afterwards. First off Phil Dawson missed his 45-yard field goal, in addition to missing one from 50 yards earlier in the game. Even if the Cardinals made the field goal, Wilks was basically gift wrapping a win to the Seahawks with all of the time they had remaining. Conservative play calling to run the ball instead of passing the ball on 3rd-and-6 was playing not to lose. One rule when playing the Seahawks: never give Russell Wilson the ball with two minutes remaining in a game.If we haven’t noticed already, Dawson’s kicks don’t go straight down the middle of the goal post but instead swerves right every time. It wasn’t too long ago when Wilks said that Dawson was kept over Matt McCrane because he was consistent and was praised for his ability to handle big games. Unfortunately for Dawson, his struggles of 2017 has carried over into 2018. How many more kicks will he need to miss until Wilks learns that Dawson is a problem? There is blame to go around for the loss to the Seahawks but none of which should be on Josh Rosen. Had it not been for five or six drops in the game, his stat line would have at least been 20-27 passes for over 200 yards and two touchdowns. He is certainly playing beyond his years making his progressions and remaining poise in the pocket. Everything we thought he could be is coming to fruition. Play action and screen plays work. They need to call more of those plays but Mike McCoy continues to stick with his conservative-styled play calling.Dawson missed two field goals, receivers continue to drop balls, defensive line is jumping into the neutral zone, inability to stop the run Authentic Pat Tillman Jersey , and the coaching staff is coaching not to lose. This is not a good formula for success. In terms of free agency, why not consider signing WR Rishard Matthews, who was recently released from the Titans? How about Cairo Santos for the kicker position? There are plenty of football games remaining but with each loss means decreased chances to making the playoffs. Changes need to be made in terms of the roster and the coaching staff yet nothing is happening. How much longer will they continue to stick with the process with a system that seems broken?Cardinals should be 2-2, with winnable games that they lost against the Bears and Seahawks, But instead they’re sitting at 0-4 on the season. Whether the problem is Steve Wilks, Steve Keim, Mike McCoy, or the players, they need find a way to win now. Learn from the mistakes that they continue to make and win a football game. Oh yeah, Steve Wilks didn’t even bother to ice the kicker at the end of the game. Imagine what kind of pressure it would put on the defense if the Cardinals ran RPOs (run/pass options) with David Johnson (and Chase Edmonds when he’s in the game). On a key third down, Josh Rosen could run with the ball to move the chains (on a slide) if the end crashes down...but most of all, Rosen can fake the handoff and then pass into the open areas behind the linebackers. The Vikings and Eagles did this very well last year with Keenum and Wentz/Foles.Why have a FB on the roster and not use him? So—-OC Mike McCoy is not keeping the LBers honest with RPOs—-he isn’t even running head-on iso blocks with a FG on them. Thus, the opposing linebackers might as well be playing in tuxedos. It’s Prom Night versus the Cardinals. You have to make life difficult for linebackers in the NFL. if you don’t—-chances are you are going to lose.Like Mark Schlereth said---the Cardinals were just running DJ into a stone wall. It’s maddening. If you move DJ around like the queen on a chessboard---the defense has to become acutely aware of where he is at all times and adjust their coverages and run defenses on the fly. But how often is DJ on the move in McCoy’s offense? Throwing to DJ only twice in the game is not only unthinkable—-it is irresponsible.Would it be so hard for Wilks and McCoy come to the conclusion that a 4-5 yard pass to DJ is better than a 2 yard run just for the sake of running the ball?Isn’t the whole point of having David Johnson on your team to find ways to get him the ball in space? When you watch the best offenses—-they PASS to set up the RUN---they don’t run to set up the pass. Plus, defending the pass gasses the defensive line and linebackers way more than defending the run Pat Tillman Jersey Limited , so by the 4th quarter you can run the ball better because you’ve (a) backed the defense off and (b) you’ve steadily worn them down. The Cardinals’ offense is playing as tight as a drum. The calls are predictable and they play right into the hands and the strengths of the defense. To play fast on offense you have to take the training wheels off and you have to play loose and with passion. Look at DJ---he looks like he’s playing in a straightjacket half the time because the defense is keying on him and loading the box and the Cardinals’ OC still runs the ball (without a FB in front of him to take out the first threat). In this offense, DJ is basically giving the defenders target practice. When the Cardinals started throwing on 1st downs they misfired too often---which then put them in 2nd and 10s---and it seemed that every 2nd and 10, McCoy called a run between the tackles, which then set up a series of 3rd and 7s---and several of the 3rd and 7 passes were high risk WR or RB screens that were easy for the defense to defend within the 7 yard box because the catches were at or behind the line of scrimmage. If you misfire on 1st down, take another shot on 2nd down. The Patriots once opened a game with 19 straight pass plays—-and they backed the defense off so far that by the end of the game, the Pats ended up with well over 100 yards rushing. As an OC you have to have answers for 3rd and 7s and 3rd and 10s---that’s where mismatches come into play. That’s what Kurt Warner was a genius at---knowing all week long what the WR, TE, RB mismatches were, so that when he saw them he could audible right into them. Often they were for #3 and #4 WRs like Steve Breaston and Jerhemy Urban. Carson Palmer did that a lot on 3rd downs with Jaron Brown.Essentially it all comes down to one simple principal---you take whatever the defense is giving you.But you have to have that worked out before the game---that is—-if you have studied your opponent well and if you know their matchup and scheme tendencies. The last couple of years it looked like BA was less prepared for each opponent as he was the first couple of years---he then confirmed that by saying “we do what we do.” It looks like McCoy mantra is the same thing---week after week he is doing what he does without showing a keen understanding of where the defenses are weakest. And then—-there are in-game adjustments that should be automatic---but Mike McCoy doesn’t seem to be making such adjustments. Like in the Bears. game, RCB Prince Amukamara was injured and yet McCoy didn’t pick on the new CB. Even worse, in the Seahawks game, it was all the more frustrating that McCoy got even more conservative after Earl Thomas got hurt. Those are opportunities a good OC takes advantage of.On the play sheet an OC should have sections for down and distance calls---and sections for which pass plays attack the perimeter (short, intermediate, deep) and the middle (short http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/pat-tillman-jersey , intermediate and deep)---so, when he sees a starting CB, LB or FS go out of the game, bingo, he looks on his sheet and decides how to exploit the substitute.Being creative on offense is not as difficult as some think. You run misdirections to turn the defense around, just as in basketball you want to swing the ball from side to side and then exploit an opening. You run your offense based on the numbers—-if the defense is loading the box, the numbers are in the defense’s favor, but it leaves them more vulnerable to the pass. This is where defenses try to confuse QBs by giving a loaded box look when they are really going to back players off into coverage. But, by sending a man in motion—-you can get a solid on read on whether the defense is playing zone or man—-if they chase the receiver across the formation, it’s man—-if they don't chase then chances are you get an immediate cover mismatch even if the defense is disguising man coverage. Then—-there are always the gadget plays. The Eagles won the Super Bowl thanks in part to their “Philly Special.” There are all kinds of flea flicker options—-and throwback passes off sweeps or backward laterals (like the Giants ran yesterday with OBJ passing a wide open throwback TD to Saquon Barkley). One of the philosophies that BA had down pat is—-taking deep shots and running gadget plays keep the defense honest—-even if you don’t complete them, it backs the defense off a little and gives you more room to operate.Same way in basketball—-versus a full court man-to man deny-every-pass defense—-if you do not pose a deep threat—-all the defense has to do is defend half the court—-and with quick athletes it’s twice as easy to defend half the court than every inch of the full court. This is what the 2018 Cardinals are doing—-they are playing in the half court—-they are running far too many plays that allow the defense to be ultra aggressive in a 20-25 yard box—-the Cardinals’ one big play this week came on a first play bomb. But, by the 3rd and 4th quarters the 49ers’ defense was playing way up without any fear of getting beat deep. This is why it actually can be smart to take downfield shots late in games, rather than play ultra conservatively down the stretch. This was how BA taught the team how to win—-by being aggressive when the situation traditionally calls for being conservative.
