It’s official. Derek Wolfe has had enough of the Denver Broncos losing ways over the last two seasons. He doesn’t want to hear it anymore and believes something else is going on that has caused this once proud franchise to fall so far from grace just three years removed from a Super Bowl title. After the game Wolfe said Youth Domata Peko Jersey , “I’m tired of talking about the same shit the last two years.” He continued to note that something deeper is going on with this team and it’s clearly not good.“I’m upset,” Wolfe said. “We come off a short week and we are practicing hard, lifting hard, doing everything we can to be a good player then we go out and lose. The investment is too big. You invest so much into your body to make sure you’re healthy for the game just to come out and lose. That upsets you.”Head Coach Vance Joseph is now 7-14 leading this club and has tried to win games with four different quarterbacks all with the same result - losses. And those losses are already piling up just five weeks into this season. If fans are scratching their heads at the collective play-calling on offense and defense then you know damn well the players are questioning the wisdom behind the plays being called each week that result in ever-worsening win-loss records. In fact White Chris Harris Jr Jersey , I would venture to say that the players are already playing like they don’t have faith in the men who are calling the plays for them and that is a huge problem. It’s a problem that will get worse over time, not better. It might actually be time for some house cleaning... Case Keenum threw his first touchdown pass since Week One to open the scoring at MetLife Stadium, but all the other big plays have come from the Jets offense. The unit hasn’t done much to impress during a three-game losing streak, but they’ve scored long touchdowns on the ground and through the air in the first half of Sunday’s game. Isaiah Crowell went 77 yards for a touchdown a play after the Jets defense forced a punt to get the team on the board and Robby Anderson gave them the lead.Anderson ran past cornerback Bradley Roby and Sam Darnold dropped the ball into his hands for a 76-yard yard touchdown that is the longest of Darnold’s brief career. Anderson also scored on a deep ball in Week One Youth Ronald Leary Jersey , but had just seven catches for 67 yards over the last three weeks.Leonard Williams sacked Keenum on third down to force the punt that led to that second scoring drive. The Broncos have punted three times and scored their lone touchdown after a Bilal Powell fumble set them up with a short field.

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph announced on Thursday that tight end Jake Butt injured his left knee in practice and word is that the team fears a serious injury for the 2017 fifth-round pick.NFL Media reports that the Broncos fear Butt tore his ACL. He went for an MRI to confirm that initial feeling and is waiting for the results. It would be a third torn ACL for Butt. He tore his right ACL in February 2014 while at the University of Michigan and returned to play that fall. Butt also tore his right ACL in his final college game Womens Jeff Heuerman Jersey , which caused him to miss his entire rookie year before he made his regular season debut for Denver this year.Butt, who started all three Broncos games, has eight catches for 85 yards this season. Jeff Heuerman and Matt LaCosse are the other tight ends on Denver’s roster.UPDATE 5:24 p.m. ET: Mike Klis of KUSA reports Butt has indeed torn his ACL. Good morning, Broncos Country.Yesterday marked the end of the era when the Denver Broncos traded away their longest-tenured player in Demaryius Thomas for day three draft considerations. While it was certainly an understandable decision from a business perspective, it wasn’t remotely close to the fairy tale ending many across Broncos Country had hoped for. Many had wished he would retire after playing his entire career the only Broncos. It’s a rarity (and special thing) for a player to spend their entire career with the franchise that drafted them. In fact, I’m willing to bet that was Thomas’ dream. Unfortunately Womens Courtland Sutton Jersey , that won’t come to pass — but we can still be thankful for everything Thomas brought to the team and city of Denver.Though the Age of Demaryius is over, it marks the beginning of a youth movement for the Broncos’ wide receiver corps. That starts with rookie sensation Courtland Sutton. The Southern Methodist product has flashed gigantic play-making ability since the day he was drafted. While most young receivers take a few years to hit their stride and make an impact, that hasn’t been the case with Sutton who has improved tremendously throughout his rookie campaign. In half a season of play, Sutton has hauled in 17 receptions for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He has demonstrated an uncanny ability to come down with miracle catches and is sporting close to a 20-yard per catch average. Without question, the Broncos are confident he is ready for an expanded role in the offense and can be a future marquee player for the franchise. They also believe that in due time DaeSean Hamilton and Tim Patrick, who have both shown glimpses of promise in their early careers Authentic Emmanuel Sanders Jersey , will be able to alleviate the absence of Thomas from the squad.“I think with them coming on like they’ve come on, and [WR] DaeSean [Hamilton] coming on, when he gets back, to rely on him—and Tim Patrick’s played well. We just felt that we make that up,” stated President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway. “We make the loss up. It may not be right away, but eventually the youth will cover that up.”That’s the million dollar question. Can Sutton and the rest of the Broncos’ young receivers step up to the challenge and truly replace Thomas? Only time will tell. I believe Sutton is destined for greatness Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , but whether or not he lives up to the lofty expectations is a whole other story. In all of this, only one thing is certain — following in the footsteps of a legendary Bronco isn’t going to be an easy task.Thomas was an all-time great Bronco and a future Ring of Famer. It was an honor and pleasure to witness the myriad of memorable moments he gave us on the gridiron. If we can say that a decade from now in regard to Sutton or any other young receiver looking to make their mark in the National Football League — that too would be special. All I can say is when and if that time comes, hopefully the finality of the situation is a bit more amicable. As always, thank you for reading and here is today’s offering of Horse Tracks.Horse TracksSaying goodbye to D.T.: Remembering Demaryius Thomas’ storied career in DenverAric DiLalla takes a look back at Thomas’ memorable tenure with the Denver Broncos. The Squeeze: Demaryius Thomas’ Broncos teammates bid farewell on social mediaA concentrated look at the recent juice on the Denver Broncos.Woody Paige: The future for the Denver Broncos is not now or anywhere nearThe Broncos’ 2018 season is over on Halloween.Broncos briefs: Garett Bolles’ usage at left tackle faces possible changesBolles’ five enforced holding penalties are tied for most in the NFL through eight weeksBears guard Kyle Long (foot) to miss six to eight weeks - NFL.comThe Chicago Bears will embark on a critical stretch without their star offensive lineman.

Bradley Chubb heavily favored to win Defensive Rookie of the Year When the Denver Broncos drafted Bradley Chubb fifth-overall in the 2018 NFL Draft Denver Broncos Hats , the consensus was that they got the best defensive player coming out of college. Oddsmakers in Las Vegas agreed, giving Chubb the best odds of winning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Chubb is off to an up and down start. He was sealed off by tight end Kyle Rudolph last week that sprung Latavius Murray for a 20 yard run, but came back a few plays later at the goal line to blow up Rudolph off the line to stop Murray short. Defensive Coordinator Joe Woods thought Chubb came out afraid to make a mistake Denver Broncos Hoodie , but after encouragement to turn it loose Chubb began making those plays.“The thing with Bradley, he was really kind of a little nervous and afraid to make a mistake,” Woods said. “I was like Youth Customized Denver Broncos Jerseys , ‘Hey man, you’ve got to cut it lose. Don’t worry about the mistakes, we’ll fix the mistakes. You just play hard.’”Chubb is already ahead of Shane Ray on the depth chart and will start opposite of Von Miller in the regular season. That gives him a good shot at competing for this Defensive Rookie of the Year award.Do you think Chubb will do well enough to win it? The NFL continues to rebound www.broncosauthorizedshops.com , when it comes to the generation of a sizable TV audience.Via SportsBusiness Daily, Monday night’s Chiefs-Broncos game on ESPN generated a 9.1 rating. It was the best Monday night number since Week Three of the 2017 season (Cowboys-Cardinals) and an eight-percent increase over last year’s 8.4 rating for a Week Four Monday night game between Washington and the Chiefs. The rating for Monday night’s game matches the 9.1 rating generated by the Week Four game in Week Four of the 2016 season. Which essentially gets the NFL back to where it was in the year that the ratings slide began to become noticeable. The Monday night measurement continues a 2018 trend (for the most part) of ratings going up. And that’s a good thing for the NFL and the networks, especially at a time when the TV viewership continues to decline.

Can the Broncos Garett Bolles bounce back against the Chiefs? The Denver Broncos will square off with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. The scariest part is probably the idea that the Chiefs offense could hand the Broncos a huge loss. On the MHR Radio Podcast Denver Broncos Hats , I even had the gall to predict the Chiefs would drop 50. That would be embarrassing, but perhaps not as embarrassing as the play of Garett Bolles. Ian St. Clair and I discussed some of the issues around Bolles on the podcast. One of our readers has even put up a fan post about Mark Schlereth’s comments on his radio show. If it were up to Stink, Bolles would get the Ereck Flowers treatment. Perhaps he is right, but I’m going to take this another direction. Sitting Bolles now would be a huge mistake. While he struggled against the Baltimore Ravens, Bolles had actually been playing well in the Broncos first two games. He’s an athletic tackle that just wants to stuff guys into the ground. The questions that surround him are about growth. After a tough rookie campaign, Broncos Country just wants Bolles to be a capable left tackle.Maybe Schlereth is right. I have never been an offensive lineman in the NFL. I suppose I should defer to his expertise. But I won’t. This seems more like talk show knee jerking than true analysis. And yes, I can taste the hypocrisy. I am the one who called out Case Keenum for being awful against Baltimore. However, now is not the time to hit the panic button on Bolles. He is still in the early stages of his career. Bad games are inevitable, and it’s not like Terrell Suggs is some no-name defender. Bolles got worked over pretty badly, but he is still far from bust status. With Kansas City next on the docket, he will have a chance to redeem himself against one of the best rushers in the NFL. Justin Houston is going to be a huge test. He must eliminate mistakes. If he can’t, Houston will have a field day.If the Broncos want to win on Monday Night, they are going to need to control the tempo of the game. Moving the football with efficiency Denver Broncos Hoodie , running and passing, will be key to keeping Patrick Mahomes and that offense off the field. That starts up front, and Bolles is a major part of keeping the Chiefs high-powered offense on the sidelines. The MHR Radio Podcast is now on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher and TuneIn. Please subscribe to the one that fits your fancy, and also rate and review what you hear. Jamal Adams gathered the New York Jets' defensive players before their game against the Denver Broncos and spoke from the heart. They were about to take the field without Kacy Rodgers, the defensive coordinator sidelined with what coach Todd Bowles says is a "serious" illness."Jamal gave a great pregame speech to the defense," defensive end Leonard Williams said. "He said if you didn't have enough to play for, play for that man. I think he's proud right now."Bowles and the Jets have not detailed the nature of the 49-year-old Rodgers' illness. It also is unclear when he might be able to return to the team.In the meantime, Bowles called the defensive plays in New York's 34-16 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday."Obviously, to have that guy missing, there's a big hole on the defensive side of the football Customized Denver Broncos Jerseys ," Bowles said. "He's in the room every day working with those guys. I'm sure they played a lot for them, and they played for him as well."The defense — which also met as a unit Friday to be sure all the players were on the same page — was solid for most of the game, keeping Case Keenum and the Broncos' offense off balance. Williams had two sacks, Jeremiah Attaochu had one and Marcus Maye and Jordan Jenkins shared one.Denver converted just four of 14 third-down opportunities, and scored only once in four trips into the red zone.To a man, the players on defense said they drew added inspiration from Rodgers, and hoping he was happy with their performance."Life is first," Maye said. "Coach Kacy is dealing with that issue, so we all just stepped up for him and did the best that we can for him because we know that he would love to be here."Cornerback Morris Claiborne said he texted Rodgers on Saturday night and again before the game."It was just to let him know I was thinking about him," Claiborne said. "It felt different without having him around that the time. We're praying for him."Here are some other things to know from the Broncos-Jets game:AS THE CROW FLIESIsaiah Crowell ran for a Jets franchise-record 219 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown, on 15 carries. He broke the team record of 210 yards rushing set by Thomas Jones in 2009 against Buffalo. His 14.6 yards per carry also set an NFL record for a player with at least 15 attempts, according to Elias Sports Bureau."It means a lot to me www.authenticsdenverbroncos.com ," Crowell said. "I've got to give all the credit to my O-line. I can't really take the credit. Really, it was all them. I mean, the holes were open. Anybody could've run through them. It just happened to be me. They really set the record."He simply dropped the ball in the end zone, a much tamer celebration than the one in Cleveland two weeks ago when he wiped his rear end with the football and fired it into the stands. Crowell was fined $13,369 by the NFL for the gesture and got a stern lecture from Bowles — and the running back promised it would never happen again.LEAKY DEFENSEThe Broncos were frustrated with themselves after the game, particularly with allowing so many big plays. In addition to Crowell's long run, Robby Anderson also caught a 76-yard TD pass from Sam Darnold. It was the first time the Jets have had multiple TDs on offense of 75 yards or more in the same game since Sept. 24, 1972, against the Baltimore Colts. New York finished with 512 total yards, including 323 on the ground."We're usually a pretty stout defense," linebacker Von Miller said. "Today, we weren't. We got gashed over the top two or three times today. Yeah, it was a rough one."MAYE DAYMaye ended the game by intercepting Case Keenum's throw in the end zone and then taking it 104 yards before being tackled at the 1 by Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton. It was the longest interception return in Jets history — and the longest non-touchdown on an INT Denver Broncos T-Shirt , according to Elias Sports Bureau. Of course, Maye took some razzing from his teammates, but he just returned last week from ankle and foot ailments that kept him sidelined for most of the summer and the first three games."Yeah, they've been getting on me," Maye said. "I just have to get in shape and I have to finish."ON THE CASEKeenum finished with two touchdown passes — to Sutton and Demaryius Thomas — his first two since the Broncos' season-opening win against Seattle. He was 35 of 51 for 377 yards, setting single-game career highs in completions, yards passing and passing first downs (19). Sutton caught the first touchdown pass of his career, and DaeSean Hamilton had his first three NFL receptions. But, the Broncos couldn't get much going consistently."We have to do better on first and second down, and not put our defense in bad situations," Keenum said. "It's a tough day."DARNOLD'S DAYDarnold finished 10 of 22 for 198 yards with an interception and three touchdowns — two to Anderson and one to Terrelle Pryor — as the Jets' offense had one of its most balanced and productive days ever."It's amazing to see the way our runners ran," Darnold said. "Our offensive line played outstanding today and I can't say enough about their efforts."

Report: Seahawks lowered trade price for Earl Thomas prior to broken leg Earl Thomas’ Seattle Seahawks career likely came to a sad end on Sunday Seahawks Tre Flowers Jersey , when the future hall-of-fame safety fractured his leg defending what proved to be a game-tying touchdown pass from Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen to Chad Williams. The aftermath that is being heavily talked about is Thomas’ subsequent middle finger that was seemingly aimed towards the Seahawks sideline.Throughout this entire offseason and into the regular season, we’ve had to endure discussion over whether or not Seattle would trade Thomas, who had held out up until the season opener, hoping for a major contract extension that he obviously never received. The Dallas Cowboys were the primary team in the headlines in Earl Thomas trade talks, and the Kansas City Chiefs soon emerged as a potential suitor. Reports had the Seahawks demanding multiple second-round picks for Thomas prior to the injury, and now in a report that is totally moot at this point, it looks like Seattle had lowered its asking price and the Chiefs were making a real push to land ETIII.Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:“The Seahawks from what I understand were actually moving toward trading Earl Thomas. This injury comes as bad news not just for the Seahawks, but the Kansas City Chiefs as well. We’ve known for sometime that the Cowboys were in the mix, that essentially ended before the season. The Kansas City Chiefs though had not stopped the pursuit.“From what I’m told, the Seahawks wanted two second-round picks, actually lowered their price to one second-round pick,” he continued. “The Kansas City Chiefs were then in the process of freeing up some money, creating salary cap space to make room for Thomas’ $8.5 million salary. This is something, from what I understand, that likely would’ve happened and Earl Thomas would’ve been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, he just needed more time. [...] As far as the other parts of this trade, the Chiefs have a lot of really good players doesn’t sound like an extension for Thomas would’ve been in the cards Seahawks Shaquill Griffin Jersey , but believes the Chiefs would’ve had a really good rental, and the Seahawks would’ve gotten a solid draft pick.”In the end, Thomas obviously won’t be traded, his financial situation is drastically changed regardless of where he plays next year (if he does want to keep playing), and the Seahawks still don’t have a 2019 second-round pick as a result of the Duane Brown trade. Amidst all the rumors circulating around the league regarding which potential head coaches are interviewing where, Thursday the NFL announced which Hall of Fame semi-finalists had made it through as finalists. Nestled amongst the fifteen players and coaches on the list are a handful of names with ties to the Seattle Seahawks. There are three players who spent time in Seattle on the list, including Steve Hutchinson, Kevin Mawae and Edgerrin James. Hutchinson and Mawae were both offensive linemen who originally drafted by the Hawks, with Mawae selected 2.36 in 1994 and Hutch taken 1.17 in 2001. Both played through their rookie contracts for the Seahawks, before signing elsewhere in free agency, and then closing out their careers with the Tennessee Titans. Mawae spent the middle seasons of his career with the New York Jets, while Hutchinson famously spent the heart of his career with the Minnesota Vikings after signing a poison pill laced contract after having the transition tag applied to him following the 2005 season. James, of course, had a phenomenal career as a running back, amassing 12,246 yards rushing and 3,364 yards through the air during his career. His stop in Seattle was not much of note Seahawks Nick Vannett Jersey , as he gained just 135 rushing yards in his lone season in the Pacific North West during the very forgettable lone season that Jim Mora led the Hawks to a less than impressive 5-11 mark. Edge, as he was known, was a dynamic playmaker, making the Pro Bowl four times and the 1999 All Pro team as a rookie, however, he is one of those players for whom the question of “What could have been?” will always exist had he not suffered a catastrophic knee injury during his third season in the NFL. Over the first 38 games of his career prior to suffering that knee injury Edgerrin had recorded 3,924 rushing yards and 29 TDs to go along with 1,373 receiving yards, including rushing for 100 yards 24 times in those 38 games. In addition, former Seahawks head coach Tom Flores is also on the list of finalists this season. Flores was a quarterback for several teams during the 1960s, most notably serving as Len Dawson’s backup for the Kansas City Chiefs during their Super Bowl winning 1969 season. For that Chiefs team Flores attempted just a single pass, completing it for 33 yards and a touchdown, giving him a perfect 158.3 rating in his time with the Chiefs. He also played for both the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills during his career, but he is best known for the work he did on the sideline. When John Madden retired abruptly following the 1978 season, Flores took over as the head coach of the Raiders, leading them to two Super Bowl titles in his nine seasons at the helm. He then moved to the Oakland front office for a single season, before taking the job as the President and General Manager of the Seahawks prior to the 1989 season. He held those roles for the final three seasons of the Chuck Knox era in Seattle before taking over as head coach for the 1992 season. For those fans who remember Youth Kam Chancellor Jersey , that 1992 season was an absolute disaster. The Seahawks put up a record of just 2-14 while scoring just 140 points on the season (8.8 points per game). In case you’re wondering, the answer to the question is that, yes, that is indeed an NFL record for fewest points scored in a non-strike-shortened season since the NFL went to a 16 game schedule in 1978. However, it is not the lowest points per game, as the 1976 expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored just 7.4 points per game in going 0-14. As for DVOA, for those who read the final 2018 DVOA ratings when they were released earlier this week, the 1992 Seahawks have the worst offensive DVOA in the DVOA era for any team that was not an expansion team (the 2002 Houston Texans are the only team that was worse). In any case, Flores left his mark on the game with the Raiders, and he paired with quarterback Jim Plunkett in the Raiders victory in both Super Bowl XV and XVIII, putting them on the short list of coach-quarterback combinations that won multiple Super Bowls. However, even 35 years after that second Super Bowl victory, neither is in the Hall of Fame. Those from the list who make the Hall of Fame will be announced the weekend of the Super Bowl, and with the odds roughly 50/50 that any particular finalist will be selected, odds are at least one of the former Seahawks will be on the list. For those interested in seeing the full list of this year’s finalists, here it is.

We’re six weeks into the 2018 Seattle Seahawks season http://www.authenticsseattleseahawks.com/cheap-bobby-wagner-jersey , with the team sitting at 3-3 after the unwanted but not entirely unexpected 0-2 start. They’re off this Sunday and will resume action on October 28th against the Detroit Lions, as the Seahawks look to defy critics and make a serious push for the playoffs. It’s a quiet weekend for us due to the bye, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a nice, wholesome discussion about what we’ve seen up to this point! The question is simple: What has surprised you most out of this Seahawks team? It can be negative or positive, the main thing is something you didn’t expect heading into Week 1.For me, I really don’t have another clear-cut answer other than...The substantial improvement of the offensive lineIf I were to tell you that the Seahawks offensive line would go from laughing stock of the NFL in 2017 to one of the best in the league in pass-blocking one season later, you’d think I was trolling you. Duane Brown and Justin Britt have both proven to be among the better players at their respective positions, but everyone else was still a major question mark. J.R. Sweezy was a career right guard whom through injury has ultimately usurped Ethan Pocic at left guard. Oh yes, and he’s coming off consecutive season-ending injuries. D.J. Fluker was written off as a bust when he was with the San Diego Chargers, showed some promise as a run-blocking right guard with the New York Giants, but he too was returning from season-ending injury. Then there’s Germain Ifedi, much-maligned at both guard and tackle through his first two seasons, and no doubt frustrating the coaching staff with repeated penalty problems in training camp and preseason, never mind his bad habits in the actual meaningful games. After a brutal start to the season with Russell Wilson getting sacked 12 times — some of these sacks were admittedly on the quarterback — Wilson has been sacked only seven times over the last four games. The Seahawks rank tops in the NFL from Weeks 3-6 in pass-blocking efficiency, courtesy of Pro Football Focus. I know that PFF’s grading system can be a little shaky, but since it’s a good stat about Seattle http://www.authenticsseattleseahawks.com/cheap-bradley-mcdougald-jersey , I’ve determined it’s good. Also, even the ol’ eye test largely backs up that Wilson has seldom been running for his life and under constant pressure over the past month. One area where Pete Carroll has to be the most thrilled with Mike Solari’s group is the running game. Yes, the Seahawks may only rank 18th in DVOA on the ground (five spots higher than last year), but dig a little deeper and you’ll see drastic gains in select situations.According to Football Outsiders, last year’s Seahawks ranked 31st in Adjusted Line Yards, 27th in Power Blocking (short-yardage situations, essentially), 32nd in Stuffed Rate, 28th in Second-Level Yards, and 21st in Open Field Yards. This year’s Seahawks, at least through 37.5% of the season, are 17th in Adjusted Line Yards, 2nd in Power Blocking, 7th in Stuffed Rate, 19th in Second-Level Yards, and 17th in Open Field Yards. There are still some average to mediocre stats in there Seahawks Quinton Jefferson Jersey , but they’re elite in short-yardage conversions, and not repeatedly losing yards or suffering no gain. I highly recommend checking out Doug Farrar’s breakdown of Solari’s transformation of this unit, although credit also has to go to the players for executing at a baseline level of competence, Ifedi in particular has looked much more confident in recent weeks. It’s not the world’s largest sample size, but it’s been a pleasant surprise to see just how well this offensive line has played. Fluker in particular has stood out above everyone else, and unlike Luke Joeckel, this one-year “prove-it” deal has been a major success that leads you to believe that keeping him beyond 2018 is a top priority for the Seahawks front office. This week on Seaside Chats, I spoke to comedian, actor, improviser, and lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan Ryan Meharry about the current state of his team. Ryan may “only” be a fan, but in listening to the episode, I think you’ll see right away how knowledgable, reasonable, and informed he is about the Chiefs and the NFL as a whole. As a bonus, he also has kind things to say about the Seahawks and Russell Wilson. After Ryan signs off Youth Ethan Pocic Jersey , I mutter about the Seahawks for another 15 minutes or so.The episode is available HERE at Patreon for free thanks to our sponsors at Injury Legal Center. He tried to get up and walk it off before going back down to the turf and being attended to by trainers.Miller was able to walk to sideline on his own and returned to the game on Houston's next possession. But he left the game again early in the second quarter and headed to the locker room with trainers. He remained on the sideline at the start of the second half. Miller had 8 yards on three carries against the Jets. He leads the Texans with 917 yards rushing this season.Jets starting right tackle Brandon Shell was carted off the field early in the third quarter with a knee injury. He was blocking during a passing play when left guard Spencer Long rolled into his left leg.Shell immediately grabbed at his left knee as trainers ran onto the field to check on him. After a few moments, Shell was helped on a cart as most of his Jets teammates and several Texans players came over to him for pats on the back. The Jets announced Shell was doubtful to return. Tonight the Kansas City Chiefs travel to Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the New England Patriots in what could be a preview of the AFC Championship game. The last time these two teams met the Chiefs stunned the world with a blowout 47-27 win in the 2017 season opener in Foxboro. Tonight the Chiefs try to make it two in a row over the Patriots in the Patriots’ own building. The Chiefs come into the game on a roll, with a perfect 5-0 record and sporting one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Second year phenom quarterback Patrick Mahomes is playing at an All Pro level in his first year as a starter, and he is surrounded by explosive weapons at the skill positions like tight end Travis Kelce Cheap Spencer Long Jersey , running back Kareem Hunt and receiver Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs have yet to score less than 27 points in any game this season, and it will be a challenge for the Patriots to keep pace. The Patriots come into the game looking just a bit vulnerable this year, with a 3-2 record. Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady has not been quite the same dominant force this year as the Patriots have lost talent at the offensive skill positions and favorite target Julian Edelman served a four game suspension to start the year. With Edelman back on the field, newly acquired wide receiver Josh Gordon providing a major talent boost if he can get his head straight http://www.jetscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-morris-claiborne-jersey , and Sony Michel rounding into form as the top weapon at running back the Patriots envisioned when they drafted him, New England may be on the verge of an offensive explosion. This one could be a highly entertaining match with offensive fireworks galore. It’s the Chiefs and the Patriots in a great Sunday Night Football clash.Enjoy the game everybody. The New York Jets have placed wide receiver Rishard Matthews on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury, ending his 2018 season and in all likelihood, his Jets tenure. Matthews Cheap Jamal Adams Jersey , a veteran with a decent NFL track record, was signed after the Jets cut Terrelle Pryor mid-season, but Matthews never could find a role with the Jets. He finished the season with just two catches on three targets in five games. The Jets replaced Rishard Matthews on the 53 man roster by signing 23 year old offensive lineman Eric Smith off of the New England Patriots practice squad. The 6’ 4”, 308 pound Smith was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Virginia in 2017. Smith spent his entire first year and his second off season with Miami Cheap Isaiah Crowell Jersey , though he never appeared in a regular season game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars head to the middle of America this Sunday to take on divisional rival Indianapolis Colts (3-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1:00pm EST.For fans not making the trip http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/a.j.-bouye-jersey-cheap , we’ll have Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta on the CBS call for Sunday. UNIFORM WATCH: White tops, black trousers in Indy.OpponentThe Colts’ season may have started off a little rocky as Andrew Luck knocked off some understandable rust following his long hiatus from football, but Captain Luck has led his troops to two consecutive wins heading into last week’s bye. Sure, the wins may have been against the Bills and Raiders, but three out of the Colts’ five losses have been within one possession, so it’s not like they’ve been getting embarrassed by 30+ points against the Cowboys or anything. While Luck ranks third in the NFL with 42.9 pass attempts per game, he is 29th in yards per attempt (6.2), so rookie head coach Frank Reich’s up-tempo West Coast offense has helped contribute to keeping Luck healthy and clean in the pocket. The real story surrounding the Colts offense has been the dominant play of their offensive line, which hasn’t allowed a sack in 15 quarters and is allowing one sack every 35 drop backs this year. To put this into perspective, Luck was sacked once every 14 drop backs the last time he played in 2016. The Jaguars defense may be middle of the pack in sacks Youth Keelan Cole Jersey , but they’ve been applying an incredible amount of pressure with their defensive line this year, so this battle up front should be a phenomenal one this week for anyone who admires trench warfare. To make matters worse for the Jaguars, the Colts also have their running game rolling since Marlon Mack has returned from injury, and Mack became the first Colts runner with back-to-back 100 yard rushing games since Joseph Addai in 2007. In addition to Mack, rookie running back/wide receiver hybrid Nyheim Hines has been devastating out of the backfield and adds another underneath dimension for the Jaguars linebackers to account for. The Jaguars defense currently ranks second in passing yards allowed per game and points allowed per game, so expect the Colts to go to the well in their running game early and often to not challenge the Jaguars through the air more than they have to — A.J. Bouye or not.Defensively, the Colts have been fairly mediocre against the run (averaging 109 yards allowed per game), so this is a good opportunity for the Jaguars to get back to their smash mouth offensive identity. The Colts are a bottom ten pass defense statistically, and as inconsistent and unreliable as the Jaguars receivers have been lately, expect them to get some good chances against below average cornerbacks if Nathaniel Hackett can get the play action game up and running. The one player the Jaguars will need to pay attention to on every snap will be impressive rookie linebacker Darius Leonard. Leonard leads the NFL with 88 tackles and has been a one-man wrecking crew with four sacks and three crucial forced fumbles this season.Check out Ryan O’Bleness’ cross-over piece with Chris Blystone of Stampede Blue for more information about the opponent and check out the all-time series history against the Colts.StorylinesThe biggest storyline for the Jaguars this week is the return of Leonard Fournette to help catalyze what has been an inept offense over the second quarter of the season. Some fans are looking for Fournette to be a magical elixir that totally fixes the offense Youth Austin Seferian-Jenkins Jersey , but reality is that simply won’t be the case. Having Fournette available, however, should positively influence play calling and bring back the balance that has escaped Nathaniel Hackett in the second quarter of the season. Getting back to their offensive identity should force the Colts to pack the box and open up some looks for Blake Bortles to work off of play action. The other big storyline this week is the Donte Moncrief revenge tour. Moncrief has been fairly disappointing this season, but there’s just something against playing a former team that causes players to dial it up a notch. There is no doubt that Moncrief will be playing to prove that the Colts made a mistake in letting him go in free agency, but Moncrief should really be playing to prove that he deserves the healthy one-year deal the Jaguars gave him that he hasn’t lived up to. The Colts don’t have a premier lock down cornerback, so if Moncrief can’t get it going this week, when will he?On the other side of the football, the major storyline is how this defense adjusts to life without Dante Fowler Jr., who was traded to the Los Angeles Rams for a couple of draft picks before the deadline. Early speculation is that 2017 third round pick Dawuane Smoot will be active for the first time this season, but does that mean he gets the replacement snaps for Fowler? Does Taven Bryan see more time? Will Bryan slide inside to three-technique for some snaps now that that they are down one speed rusher? Keep an eye on the rotation this week and see how they adapt for the final eight games http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/malik-jackson-jersey-cheap , as this will give a good indication of how they’ll attack the defensive line decisions come this offseason.Key matchupsJalen Ramsey vs. T.Y. HiltonNicknamed “Ghost,” Ramsey will be following Hilton around everywhere on the field to make sure he becomes an apparition on the stat sheet. While Ramsey would probably follow Hilton around regardless if A.J. Bouye played, Bouye’s absence on Sunday all but confirms this. Expect to see D.J. Hayden get the start opposite Ramsey with Tyler Patmon lining up in the nickel against three receiver sets, and expect the Jaguars cornerbacks to Press on the line often to take away the quick, short passes for Luck.Ronnie Harrison vs. Eric EbronEric Ebron has been on absolute fire this year already finding the end zone seven times. Similar to the Eagles last week (who still have Frank Reich’s fingerprints all over that offense), the Colts also use a ton of two tight end sets with Ebron and Jack Doyle, so expect a heavy dose of brute back with Ronnie Harrison this week. Harrison has played very well for a third round rookie and as much as I personally feel he would be an upgrade over the struggling Barry Church at strong safety, Harrison has filled a niche role so well and the Jaguars don’t have another player with his skill set that can replicate his contribution in the big nickel. Leonard Fournette vs. Darius LeonardThe “Battle of the Leonards” will probably be a thing in the AFC South, and we get the first edition on Sunday. Considering how many carries most anticipate Fournette getting this week to reboot the offense, Leonard could be pushing a 20 tackle game this week. The Jaguars offensive line will need to get good push off the snap and matriculate quickly in the second level if Fournette is going to average more than four yards per carry on Sunday with the ubiquitous Leonard on the prowl. Expect to see a heavy dose of fullback Tommy Bohannon this week to try and seek and destroy Leonard in the open field.Malik Jackson vs. Quenton NelsonThe Colts offensive line has been playing stellar Youth A. J. Cann Jersey , and that should be expected when you use top ten pick on an offensive guard. As the first offensive guard ever to win NFL Offensive Player of the Month, Nelson looks like the real deal and should be a huge problem for the Jaguars in the AFC South for the next decade-plus. Jackson doesn’t have the flashy statistics this season, but he’s been effective from the three-technique spot and his experience should give Nelson a good challenge this week.Calais Campbell vs. Braden SmithLabeled as a reach at the time of his selection atop the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Smith has been extremely solid this season since moving over to right tackle. Unfortunately for Smith, he has yet to face a Defensive Player of the Year caliber defensive end like Calais Campbell. Between Campbell’s diligent preparation to identify vulnerabilities and his grown man strength, this will be a match up that will be worth keeping an eye on. It also feels like Campbell is probably the healthiest he’s been following the bye and not being on the injury report, so I expect a much more productive second half from Campbell.Blake Bortles vs. Malik HookerBlake has generally played well against the Colts in his career, but people are failing to realize that this is a completely different Colts team than the Chuck Pagano units that Bortles has smoked in the last few seasons. Defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus has shown creative ways to disguise coverages running zone coverage 78.6% of the time and second-year free safety Malik Hooker will definitely try baiting Bortles to take some shots off play action. Bortles must be especially aware of where Hooker is on the field before making his decisions to throw beyond the line of scrimmage. Final predictionIf the Jaguars offense can’t put up points early or the defense doesn’t get an opportune turnover in the first quarter, it’s likely this ends up a one score game. As we know, Jacksonville hasn’t been able to win the mental war of attrition that comes in playing close games this year. The longer the game goes on as a one-possession battle http://www.authenticsjacksonvillejaguars.com/cheap-brandon-linder-jersey , the less likely the Jaguars come out on top. This game has the feeling of a three-point contest one way or another, and with the Colts having home field advantage, I’ll give the nod to them.I think the Jaguars lose 20-17. A report on Monday indicated that Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette would miss another game with a hamstring injury and the team’s roster moves over the last couple of days seemed to confirm the team would face the Cowboys without their 2017 first-round pick.Jaguars coach Doug Marrone made it official on Wednesday. Fournette will sit out for the second straight week and fourth time this season due to his balky hamstring. The Jaguars, who also placed Corey Grant on injured reserve with a foot injury, signed longtime Chief Jamaal Charles as a free agent and plucked David Andrews off of the Broncos’ practice squad. T.J. Yeldon has run for 258 yards and caught 22 passes for 194 yards while taking on the lead role for the Jaguars in Fournette’s absence.Marrone also ruled out left tackle Josh Wells with a groin injury. Josh Walker will likely get the start in place of Wells, who moved into the first team after Cam Robinson‘s season-ending torn ACL.Cornerback D.J. Hayden, who has a toe injury, rounds out the group of players ruled out well ahead of Sunday’s game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have named quarterback Cody Kessler heading into this week against the Indianapolis Colts. Kessler looked good during the preseason for the Jaguars and even proved a spark when he played for roughly a half against the Houston Texans earlier this season, quickly leading the Jaguars to a touchdown drive to get them back in the game, but was sacked four times and picked off later in the game on a pass off TJ Yeldon’s hands.Fans have been asking for Kessler to start for a few weeks now, simply for the fact that it seemed abundantly clear Bortles was not going to be the answer. Yeesh.3:19 PM: The Jags get their best drive of the day with Kessler converting first downs through the air to Westbrook and Yeldon, and Hyde rushing with some decent power. They get inside the Colts 30 before being stuffed short on 3rd & 1. Lambo makes his kick, and the Jags now lead 6-0, with 12 minutes left in the game. Next score wins.3:09 PM: Both team exchange three and outs, as offense is becoming rare to come by today. Calais Campbell registers a sack on Luck on the Colts drive. The Jags defense has came to play today. Still 3-0 Jags, with 2:30 left in the third quarter.2:59 PM: Jalen Ramsey comes away with a couple of huge pass break ups, and the Jags get lucky as Luck is unable to connect with a wide open Donte Inman on 3rd and long, thanks to a blown assignment in the secondary. Colts punt and Westrbook fair catches at the Jags 15.2:51 PM: Jaguars moved the ball a bit, with Kessler converting a 3rd & 5 on a throw to Dede Westbrook that the receiver is able to convert mostly on his own. Kessler is sacked on 3rd & 4 however http://www.thejaguarsfootballauthentic.com/jermey-parnell-jersey-authentic , and the Jaguars finally get a decent punt today from Cooke who pins the Colts inside their 25 to start their next drive.2:43 PM: Indianapolis is forced to punt, following an offensive pass interference call puts them into a 3rd & long situation, and Ebron is stopped well short by Myles Jack.2:41 PM: The second half is underway.2:24 PM: It’s “Throwback Sunday” today at The Bank for the defense, as they have been playing at a level we haven’t seen much of this season but is very much a reminder of their play in 2017. Ngakoue, Telvin Smith, and Myles Jack have especially been all over the field today making plays. The Jaguars lead the Colts 3-0 at half time.2:12 PM: Hey, we have points! The Jaguars used a pass interference call on the Colts during a sideline throw to the corpse of Keelan Cole in order to get into Colts territory. A couple of first down conversions on the ground gets them into field goal range as Josh Lambo converts the kick to make it a 3-0 lead, as we approach seconds from the two minute warning in the first half.2:00 PM: The Jaguars force another turnover, as on 4th & short, tight end Eric Ebron is handed the ball and immediately popped behind the line of scrimmage, flipping him up in the air by Jack http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/tashaun-gipson-jersey-cheap , then hammered by Smith who forces the ball loose and recovered by Jack, Jaguars ball at their 40, great defense. 0-0.1:54 PM: Expectedly, the Jaguars move the ball all of 2 yards and Kessler is sacked on third down doing enough just to get out of the end zone and avoid a safety. Logan Cooke has another shanked punt, his second today, and the Colts have it again inside the Jags 40. Also, Kessler might be playing concussed, so cheers!1:50 PM: Ok a lot going on to start the second quarter. The Jags held up and forced an Adam Vinatieri field goal attempt which was made, however, Taven Bryan got flagged for “roughing the snapper”...I dunno either. Anyway, the Jags force another 4th and goal which the Colts go for http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/jermey-parnell-jersey-cheap , and is snuffed out short by Yannick Ngakoue. Jags ball from their 1 yard line, still 0-0.1:43 PM: End of the first quarter with the game still sitting at goose eggs. Colts are currently driving inside Jaguars territory that was helped by a Ronnie Harrison penalty for taunting after the Jags had gotten the Colts off the field on a 3rd down. Another dumb, undisciplined move in a season full of them.1:32 PM: Kessler gets blasted on first down and draws a personal foul for helmet to helmet contact. That’s all the offense the Jags get on the drive, as they punt it back three plays later. Yech.1:26 PM: The defense holds true and keeps the Colts from doing much with the ensuing possession, thanks in part to Telvin Smith shutting down Marlon Mack on a 3rd & short. The Jags had to burn a challenge on the drive that was successful denying TY Hilton a reception on an obvious dropped pass.1:14 PM: The Jaguars do nothing with the turnover, shocking I know, as Kessler’s first pass of the game to a receiver is nearly picked off on first down, deflecting wide off Donte Moncrief’s hands before being tipped and dropped by a host of Colts defenders. Yeldon gets a couple on the next play before Kessler is forced to run short of the yard to gain. Jaguars punt.1:08 PM: The football Gods giveth and they taketh. On 3rd and 8 from the Jags 40, Andrew Luck is picked off by cornerback DJ Hayden! The Jaguars will get the ball back at around their 30 yard line. Sloppy start for both teams thus far.1:05 PM: After TJ Yeldon gains a first down on a screen, Carlos Hyde’s first rush goes for 8 yards before he fumbles and is recovered by the Colts inside Jaguars territory. Sigh.1:03 PM: The Colts won the toss and deferred, the Kessler experience begins now.1:02 PM: Cold blooded..12:45 PM: As we await the start of the game http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/calais-campbell-jersey-cheap , here’s Jalen being amazing with a bunch of little kids pregame.11:45 AM: The Jaguars have released their inactives and have made some significant changes to the starters, as rookie Ronnie Harrison starts for soon to be released Barry Church, at safety. Abry Jones starts in place of Malik Jackson, and recently brought back guard Patrick Omameh will start at left guard for Chris Reed. Also, Jalen Ramsey and Tashaun Gipson WILL play, despite being “Questionable” on Friday.11:41 AM: Good morning! Welcome to the start of the Cody Kessler-led Jaguars. Hey, it can’t be worse than what we’ve dealt with thus far, right?.....right?!

The National League Central-leading Chicago Cubs (69-50) begin a key divisional series against the Pittsburgh Pirates (61-60) on Thursday in what is listed as a pick'em matchup at sportsbooks. The Pirates will be trying to break a three-game losing streak to stay in the playoff race at home Burch Smith Jersey , where they have a 33-29 record this season. MLB betting line: The Cubs opened as -114 favorites (wager $114 to win $100); the total is at 8.5 runs, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. Now they have to guard against a letdown after facing the Brewers and Washington Nationals in their past five games. This will be a good test for Chicago ace Jon Lester (12-5, 3.89 ERA), who has struggled since the MLB All-Star break. Lester is winless over his previous five starts Blaine Boyer Jersey , with his ERA rising more than a run from 2.58. Fortunately, he is 2-1 versus Pittsburgh in four outings this season and owns a better record on the road at 7-2 with a 3.48 ERA in 11 starts. That bodes well here. Why the Pirates Can pay on the MLB linesThe Pirates have won two of their past three meetings with the Cubs, and they are 5-6 in the season series overall through the first 11, according to the OddsShark MLB Database. These teams still play four more times at Wrigley in late September, but now is the time for Pittsburgh to go on a positive run in an effort to snag one of the two NL wild-card spots.Ivan Nova (7-6, 4.42 ERA) will toe the rubber opposite Lester, and he has gone 3-0 in his past six outings, with the Pirates winning five times during that stretch. Nova is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA in two starts against Chicago this year Trevor Cahill Jersey , and he has performed better at home in 2018, with a 2-3 mark and 3.55 ERA in 10 games.Smart Betting PickThis is a huge game for Lester and the Cubs, who are attempting to win the NL Central for the third season in a row. Milwaukee and the St. Louis Cardinals are squaring off in a three-game series, starting Friday, and both teams have a chance to catch Chicago down the stretch. The Cubs cannot afford to lose in this spot, so look for them to win.MLB Betting TrendsChicago is 4-2 in its past six games on the road. The total has gone under in six of Chicago's past eight games.Pittsburgh is 1-4 in its past five games. L.A. is now down two games to one. Both teams have a quick turnaround following the seven-hour Melky Cabrera Jersey , 20-minute game as the two sides square off Saturday at 8:09 p.m. ET.Fox will televise the game, with the MLB on Fox Pregame show starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. No postgame is scheduled on Fox or FS1, but MLB Tonight will have an hour-long postgame show on the MLB Network. Here's a quick glance at a few players and things to watch for Game 4. Who and What to WatchWho Starts for Boston?Nathan Eovaldi was going to get the ball for Game 4, but he just threw six-plus innings in relief (after pitching a frame in Games 1 and 2). He will be taking the night off.The Red Sox can send out one oftwo left-handers in Drew Pomeranz or Eduardo Rodriguez. However, Pomeranz has a 6.09 ERA, and Rodriguez has a 5.40 ERA in September after missing a month-and-a-half with an ankle injury. He also allowed five earned runs each in two of his September starts.Rodriguez is the stronger option of the two. Despite the rough end to his regular season, the 25-year-old had a 3.82 ERA and punched out 146 batters in 129.2 innings. He pitched on Friday, but Rodriguez was on the mound for a six-pitch strikeout only before exiting. Baseball analyst Peter Gammons noted that Rodriguez is still well-rested:Peter Gammons pgammoEduardo Rodriguez has thrown 9 pitches since Oct. 17Manager Alex Cora's best bet is to send out Rodriguez and see how long he can go. ESPN Fantasy Baseball writer Tristan H. Cockcroft backed Rodriguez over Pomeranz and noted how many innings he thought E-Rod could provide:Tristan H. Cockcroft SultanofStatIncidentally http://www.angelsfanproshop.com/authentic-zack-cozart-jersey , I鈥檇 be going with Eduardo Rodriguez tonight if I had my pick, with the hopes of getting maybe 3-4 innings. Asking Drew Pomeranz to provide that after so much time off seems like a bad idea.Pomeranz hasn't started a game since July 31 and hasn't pitched since September 30. That's a lot of time off, but the Sox may need to turn to him at some point, especially if this game goes to extra innings again. If he somehow recaptures his solid 2017 form (3.32 ERA and 174 strikeouts in 173.2 innings), then that will be a massive bonus for the Sox.Can Some Hitters Break From Their Slumps?Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went hitless in eight Game 3 at-bats and now has just one hit and one intentional walk in 16 plate appearances.Boston second baseman Ian Kinsler is 1-for-10 with three strikeouts, and third baseman Rafael Devers is 1-for-9.Boston's biggest problem isn't the bats right now, though, as the team must figure out how to piece together a Game 4 win with their exhausted pitching staff. The L.A. side has some cold hitters Ian Kinsler Jersey , and that may be the team's biggest concern.Cody Bellinger and Joc Pederson are both 1-for-10, Chris Taylor is hitless in nine at-bats and Matt Kemp and Enrique Hernandez each have just one hit. Only one Dodger with 10 or more World Series plate appearances is hitting above .231 (third baseman Justin Turner at .294).The Dodger bats may break out Saturday as the Red Sox figure out a way to navigate Game 4 under difficult circumstances. L.A. is still one of the best hitting teams in baseball, as the Dodgers were third in the league in OPS behind only the Red Sox and New York Yankees.L.A. was No. 1 in the National League in runs, homers, RBI and OPS, and that was with slugging shortstop Manny Machado a member of the Baltimore Orioles for the better part of four months.Look for some Dodgers to break out Saturday.

Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly is in trouble with the law.Kelly was charged early this morning with first-degree criminal trespassing in Englewood www.denverbroncosteamonline.com , Colorado, according to local police. He was taken to the county jail. It is unclear where he is now.Police say Kelly went into a residence without permission, was chased out of the residence, and was later pursued by police. The 24-year-old Kelly has a history of off-field issues, which is one of the reasons he lasted until the final pick of the 2017 NFL draft. He was kicked off the team at Clemson in April of 2014, and eight months later he was arrested after a bar fight in Buffalo, where his uncle Jim Kelly was a Hall of Fame quarterback. He later transferred to East Mississippi Community College (of Last Chance U fame) and then transferred to Ole Miss. There’s been talk that Kelly could replace the struggling starter Case Keenum in Denver, but questions about Kelly’s maturity have been among the reasons the Broncos preferred an older veteran. This latest incident will do nothing to erase those questions.Broncos vs Chiefs: 5 winners, 6 losers from Denver’s crushing loss on MNF Up by ten points in the fourth quarter, you should win. At home. With a raucous crowd against a divisional opponent you have on the ropes. You have to win. Oh Denver Broncos T-Shirt , the good old days for the Denver Broncos. Now, when the home team is in that position and playing good football, in the back of your mind you just know the tide will turn. It’s just a matter of when.It took until the last two Kansas City Chiefs drives, but that’s when it finally happened to the Broncos, in a game they should have won. Instead, they’re 2-2 after a crushing 27-23 loss on Monday Night Football and about to head east on another road trip.Winners Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay What can you say about the Broncos rookie running backs? Both Freeman and Lindsay were damn impressive and they answered the call. For Denver to have a chance against the Chiefs, it needed to run the ball and control tempo. The Broncos did that in emphatic fashion, and gave them a puncher’s chance.Billy Turner The Broncos didn’t miss a beat when starting right tackle Jared Veldheer went out with a knee injury. That’s a major compliment to Turner, who was damn good. This is the second time he’s filled in for an injured Veldheer, and Denver’s coaches should at least think about staying with Turner going forward. Andy Janovich Given the dominance of the Broncos running game Denver Broncos Hats , you have to go with Jano. But he not only paved the way for Freeman and Lindsay, he blocked down field and had a huge catch in the second half to move the offense in field goal position (barely). Patrick Mahomes As much as it pains me to say this, the young quarterback is fun to watch. And I’m jealous of Chiefs Kingdom. Mahomes has qualities you can’t coach or teach. Even more painful in that regard, he reminds of me John Elway.Broncos Country Denver’s fans stepped up big time on Monday and delivered Rocky Mountain Thunder that clearly affected the Chiefs on offense. It’s good to see the fans deliver for the Broncos like that, too bad the coaches came up short (again). LosersMarquette King When Denver needed his big leg late in the fourth quarter, King put forth a duck. That’s the second week in a row the Broncos defense was put in bad spots because of the punter. At this point King is a liability for this team, and his strong leg was the reason he was brought to Denver. Von Miller For the second game in a row, Denver’s all-world pass rusher was nowhere to be found. About the only time Miller’s name was mentioned was when the ESPN crew was talking about how he hadn’t made an impact. That needs to change. Joe WoodsWhat in the actual f*$k was the defensive play calling on Kansas City’s game-winning drive? The Broncos have Mahomes in second-and-30, where you don’t play man coverage under any circumstance. What does Woods do? Play man coverage. It sucks, too Denver Broncos Hoodie , because his defense did a masterful job up until that final drive. Bill Musgrave It wasn’t just the defensive play calling that cost Denver in this game, it happened offensively too. The Broncos finished with 22 carries that averaged over seven yards per attempt. This was a game in which Kansas City’s defense couldn’t stop their running game if it tried. So what does Musgrave do? He calls 37 pass plays. If Denver runs it 34 times, it wins this game. It’s another instance of the coaches costing their team because they’re outmatched. Speaking of which ...Vance Joseph Have a 10-point lead and want your team to still lose? Joseph is at your service. For as awful as Woods was on that game-winning drive for the Chiefs, for as awful as Musgrave was at the end of the game, Joseph is their boss and his coaches weren’t prepared — yet again. He also adds another sterling bullet point to his resume: This is the first time in 14 years the Broncos lost a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter at home. Case Keenum Franchise quarterbacks complete that throw to Demaryius Thomas to win the game for their team. Winning quarterbacks deliver in those key, game-changing moments. More and more the evidence shows Keenum is not the answer at quarterback for this team.

Is Jeff Heuerman the cure for the Broncos tight end struggles? Good morning http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/bradley-chubb-jersey , Broncos Country! The Denver Broncos are in desperate need of a guy to take control of the tight end position. That is an evergreen lead given the last few seasons and lack of production from the position, but it’s still true. An effective tight end makes makes everyone better on offense, from Case Keenum and receivers to the running backs. It opens the field and makes the Broncos that much tougher to defend, especially with the emergence of Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton. Enter Jeff Heuerman. The last week was perhaps his best in the NFL, and he capped it off with a great showing on Saturday night against the Chicago Bears. The fourth-year tight end from Ohio State University finished with two catches for 21 yards. The biggest issue for Heuerman has been his health. Over his four years in Denver, he hasn’t been able to stay on the field. Heuerman has missed 26 of a possible 51 games played, and he missed the first two weeks of training camp. We saw a glimpse of the threat Heuerman could pose last season against the Indianapolis Colts, but we need to see more. The organization needs to see Heuerman can consistently stay on the field. When he is, you understand why the Broncos stick with him.If Heuerman is able to build on the last week and carry it over to Friday against the Washington Redskins and then the regular season, Denver has found its tight end. The other added benefit is it will force the other guys at the position to step up and match Heuerman’s production. The Broncos have been in desperate need for a guy to step up and take the tight end position. Heuerman may finally be their guy.Broncos TracksWhile playing imperfect football, Case Keenum and the Broncos' starting offense found ways to score pointsThe ability to score points when things aren't going your way is a key to success in the NFL, Keenum said. The Sideline: Top three Broncos rookie draft picks shine against BearsBradley Chubb recorded a safety, and Courtland Sutton and Royce Freeman both found the end zone.Mason's Mailbag: Keeping expectations reasonableHopes are high for Jake Butt, but the numbers posted by rookie and second-year tight ends in the last decade must be considered in creating expectations for 2018.Predicting breakout candidates for all 32 NFL teams - 2018For the Broncos, ESPN went with rookie Courtland Sutton.Paul Klee: Young-and-fun Broncos rookies shine again in preseason loss against Bears | Sports Coverage | gazette.comThey got here just in time.Denver Broncos fans boo QB Paxton Lynch during preseason gameBroncos QB Paxton Lynch was lustily booed by the team's fans in Denver on Saturday night when the quarterback entered a preseason game against the Bears late in the third quarter.Denver Broncos: Ray Crockett asks fans to stop booing Paxton LynchFormer Broncos defensive back Ray Crockett wants fans in Denver to "show some class" and stop booing quarterback Paxton Lynch.NFL Tracks 30 things we learned in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseasonWeek 2 of the NFL preseason is nearly complete. The bad news is that the Broncos can’t catch the Raiders for the bottom of the barrel and thus get a Top 5 draft pick. Thanks for nothing! I wish we got a little bit of a reward for all this suffering. The Broncos are a dumpster fire and an embarrassment right now. And anyone who claims otherwise is simply refusing to face the harsh truth of reality. Take your orange-colored glasses off for a second and take a good look at this team. If you were a fan of any other team in the NFL, you’d be laughing at the ineptitude of the Broncos and the complete laughing stock this once proud franchise has become. The only reason you’ll disagree is because you’re a fan (as am I). But that’s all you’ve got, and that is NOT a valid argument against it. I know, “cut to the chase Pete”... well, hold on. I’m not there yet. For everyone who says we are three plays away from being a 9-win team, I retort with “we’re also a few plays away from being a one-win team.” Guess what? We ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH to make those three or four plays to win games. We aren’t. So no, we aren’t three plays away because we couldn’t make those three plays away. That’s like me saying “I’m only 6 inches away from being Dwayne Johnson!” guess what? I’m not him! I got over it, so should you! I’ll never grow taller, and we’ll never have those “coulda/ woulda/ shoulda” plays. To Elway: Don’t hire a crappy re-tread of a head coach unless his name is Mike Shanahan. If you hire an offensive-minded head coach from college Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , make sure to draft his quarterback and hire his staff so that he’s set up for success at the next level. And if that doesn’t work, then hire an offensive coordinator to be our coach. And no, I don’t want Eric Bieniemy. He’s not the architect behind the Chiefs offense. He needs to prove he can do more than stand next to the real mastermind of that offense before I trust him with a team. The same goes for Peter Carmichael in New Orleans. You’re a glorified water boy to make sure Sean Payton stays hydrated much like Bieniemy is a glorified sandwich boy to make sure Andy Reid’s blood sugar doesn’t get below 20,000. Get an offensive coordinator who is the actual architect of an offense. To those who want Herbert, Lock, or Haskins...NO! Stay away! Stay FAR AWAY! There is exactly one quarterback outside of the “Tom Brady was a 6th-round pick” complete lucky quarterback who’s worth drafting, and his name is Kyler Murray. But you’ll have to basically waste a draft pick for him as he’s going to play baseball. I THINK you get that draft pick back if he doesn’t go to the NFL, but it wouldn’t be until the next year. So SKIP the quarterback high in this draft. Draft yourself a Day 2 or Day 3 quarterback. The 2020 draft is the draft for a QB (like this draft was). And hey, if you’re stupid enough to want a first-round quarterback this year, then use your first round pick on Murray, because if you do get it back next year, then BAM, you have 2 first round draft picks. Lump them together and get Tua! Problem solved! But I swear, taking Haskins or Herbert this year or any Day 1 QB is as big of a mistake as taking Paxton Lynch. Only a true masochist would want that for our team. Don’t be that person! On to the picks.Last Week: 10-6Overall: 139-82-2Washington Redskins (7-7) at Tennessee Titans (8-6) 2:30 p.m. NFLN SATURDAYThis Saturday game is the NFL’s version of the Thursday Night game. You know, a stinker. I’m not even sure this looked good in the offseason when they decided who plays when. Anyways, both of these teams are basically “meh,” and it’ll be one of those games that are so compelling that you find yourself passed out on the couch with chip crumbs lying on your chest. Just make sure to wake up for the second game on Saturday. Prediction: Redskins 13, Titans 17Baltimore Ravens (8-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (11-3) 6:20 p.m. NFLN SATURDAYBoth of these teams have something to play for. The Chargers are playing for the potential #1 seed, and the Ravens are playing for the potential home game in the playoffs. Who do you trust more? Philip Rivers against the Raven’s defense? Or Lamar Jackson against the Chargers’ defense? Prediction: Ravens 23, Chargers 24New York Giants (5-9) at Indianapolis Colts (8-6) 11 a.m. CBSComing off a shutout should have the Giants seething and ready to play, which again, will help the Broncos out in draft position. But the Colts are also coming off of a shutout. But they were the one shutting the Cowboys out. If Andrew Luck doesn’t win Comeback Player of the Year, it’s a rigged system. Well, it already is, but it’ll make it even more apparent. Prediction: Giants 17, Colts 27Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10) at Miami Dolphins (7-7) 11 a.m. CBSIf the Giants win out and the Broncos lose out (Prediction: one of them will happen), then the Broncos move up the draft. So fingers crossed the Jags win. But they suck something fierce. Then again, the Dolphins aren’t exactly world beaters, but hey, I can’t talk much smack seeing my team (Broncos) are dead last in my Power Rankings. Prediction: Jaguars 13, Dolphins 16Atlanta Falcons (5-9) at Carolina Panthers (6-8) 11 a.m. FOXI’ve crunched the numbers on this game. The Falcons hate to actually win, and the Panthers are incapable of winning. They both lose a lot as well. When you carry the 7 and divide by the specific gravity or air between Ron Rivera’s ears when he tries to lead the team, and multiply by the “resting stupid face” that Matt Ryan has, you get the only logical outcome. Cam Newton is shutting it down. Kidding, the logical outcome is Prediction: Falcons 17, Panthers 10Cincinnati Bengals (6-8) at Cleveland Browns (6-7-1) 11 a.m. CBSThe Browns are soaring high post Hue Jackson firing, and they don’t look like they’re slowing down. However, this is a divisional game, so anything can go down, like your... Bengals if you’re a Bengal fan. I swear that wasn’t censored. Prediction: Bengals 16 Authentic Phillip Lindsay Jersey , Browns 20Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-9) at Dallas Cowboys (8-6) 11 a.m. FOXWe need the Bucs to win. But the Cowboys are surely pissed and don’t want to let this rare playoff position slip through their delicate flower fingers. Prediction: Bucs 23, Cowboys 27Minnesota Vikings (7-6-1) at Detroit Lions (5-9) 11 a.m. FOXWell, the Vikings win this game. They play a team with a losing record, so this is virtually automatic. Prediction: Vikings 27, Lions 20Buffalo Bills (5-9) at New England Patriots (9-5) 11 a.m. CBSThe Patriots haven’t lost back to back December games since 2002. Will they make it three in a row? The Bills want to say yes, the Broncos fans want to say yes (helps with our draft positioning), but ultimately this is played in Foxboro, which is worth a 17th 10+ win season in the Brady/Belichick era. Prediction: Bills 15, Patriots 32Green Bay Packers (5-8-1) at New York Jets (4-10) 11 a.m.FOXThis game should be a laugher with Green Bay winning by like, 50, but the Packers kinda suck. Looks like firing McCarthy might not have been the answer. But it’s the Jets, and the Jets will do Jet things, like lose. Prediction: Packers 20, Jets 17Houston Texans (10-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (7-7) 11 a.m. CBSDecember in Philly. Hell, a few days before Christmas in Philly. Over/Under how many battery packed snowballs get thrown at the Texans? I’m setting it at 45, which is almost the combined score of this game. Prediction: Texans 23, Eagles 20Los Angeles Rams (11-3) at Arizona Cardinals (3-11) 2:05 p.m. FOXI know this is a divisional game, but if this isn’t a 30-point victory by the Rams, they’re in serious trouble come January. Prediction: Rams 42, Cardinals 10Chicago Bears (10-4) at San Francisco 49ers (4-10) 2:05 p.m. Maybe it’s because I’m slamming Captain Morgan right now (I’m not), but I’m about to sound like a freaking parrot (you know, pirates have parrots) because I’m about to repeat myself on the Rams game. But if the Bears don’t win by 20, they’re a joke and need to just stay home come playoff time. Prediction: Bears 33, Niners 9Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5-1) at New Orleans Saints (12-2) 2:25 p.m. Who They Say Gonna Beat Dem Saints? Not the Steelers. Not at home. Not in the dome. Prediction: Steelers 27, Saints 33Kansas City Chiefs (11-3) at Seattle Seahawks (8-6) 6:20 p.m. NBC SNFPatrick Mahomes is the NFL version of Serral, my favorite Starcraft player. Yes, I’m speaking English, I swear! Anyway, its time to cement his MVP legitimacy by marching into Seattle with a banged up supporting cast and shutting that annoying franchise and its head coach up. Or the Chiefs can lose yet again and prove that history does repeat itself as the playoffs (i.e. death row for Kansas City) loom near. Prediction: Chiefs 34, Seahawks 33Denver Broncos (6-8) at Oakland Raiders (3-11) 6:15 p.m. ESPN MNFOh yeah, there’s a game to be played in Oakland, right? Let’s get to that. This is likely the Raiders last home game in their stadium. That means something. The Broncos have given up on the season and their coach, and that means something too. If the Broncos only lose by 10 points, I’m going to be impressed. Yes Santa Clause, there is a Hell, and the Broncos are living in it. Prediction: Broncos 17, Raiders 24

Led by Dan Hatman, who has thorough experience in NFL Front Offices, the guide has introduced me to a plethora of prospects. In 2017 I reported on running backs and defensive backs. This year, I focused solely on defensive backs. One player I scouted for the 2018 product was Seattle’s most recent addition to their roster—Simeon Thomas. In the pre-draft process, Thomas screamed Seahawks. At 6ft 4, 190lbs with 35” arms, at his pro-day he jumped 39” vertically and ran a 4.46 seconds forty-yard dash. Furthermore, the scheme he played in was one which would ease his transition to Seattle as it contained elements of their scheme. Thomas had reportedly visited the Seahawks prior to this year’s NFL Draft. Pete Carroll’s tantalizing draft clues even hinted at selecting Thomas, before the Cleveland Browns decided to take him at Round 6, Pick 14.Now released by the Browns, Thomas has been claimed off waivers by Seattle.Below is my scouting report on the man who will compete for the Cornerback #2 position. Cousin, Marvin Bracy, was a two-time All-USA high school track and field team selection, is a three-time U.S. national champion in the 60-meter dash, and played football at FSU. Medical History: None of significance.Scheme Fit: An incredibly long corner with a 4.47 forty, Thomas suits a step-kick press Cover 1 and Cover 3 scheme similar to that of the Seattle Seahawks, where he can hold receivers at the line, half turn and bail downfield. He can then use his length to squeeze receivers to the sideline or the deep middle safety, and play the ball downfield.Positives: Length and HeightJam Strength Willingness to be PhysicalRun SupportNegatives:Open-Field TacklingTransitional BalanceHalf-Turn FootworkGuessing on RoutesIntermediate Zone Route DisruptionPlay-Making Instincts1-Year Projection: Thomas is a very raw player technique wise Authentic Frank Clark Jersey , but his willingness to be physical and his ability taking on blockers makes him a potential special teams contributor. 3-Year Projection: After two years of learning the technique of the team that drafts him, such as being consistently good in press, Thomas can be a functional starter. His lack of play-making instincts will limit his ceiling.Summary: Spent time at both right and left corner, often playing on the boundary side and rotating in and out of most games. Utilized various techniques, such as a half turn and shuffle rather than a backpedal, plus a kick-step and buzz-step press. Mainly played off-man coverage with a 5-to-7-yard cushion, head-up press, or quarters with a strong inside shade. Excellent measurements for a corner: massively long with huge wingspan and tall height. The Good (Good < Very Good < Excellent < Rare):Excellent jam strength from press. In both press-man and press quarters, he is very good at squeezing the receiver to the sideline on go routes with excellent physicality and subtle hand fighting. Good at adjusting his quarters zone on quarterback rollouts. Has very good closing speed potential, and even when beat he stays in step with the quickest and fastest of receivers. Very good length allows him to be a very good swatter of the football, and when in phase with the receiver he is very good at knocking passes incomplete. Good diagnosis of fake screens to his side, playing to his assignment rather than cheating. Very good appetite for contact, makes him a willing block shedder and tackler in run support. Good run fit awareness and very good approach angles in the box, approaches from outside-in rather than surrendering the last point of contain. Takes good open-field pursuit angles. Good tackling form, with head out of the way, his shoulder making the contact and good wrap. His length helps him tackle through stiff arms. Very good block shedder, fulling extends arms, attacks downhill and does so violently. Very good play strength, his length helps him make contact with opponents first when taking on blocks and he hits from a sunken position, which allows him to knock offensive players over. The Bad (Marginal < Adequate < Solid):Needs to move better with his jam, he got caught lunging in which caused struggles running downfield and receivers using his momentum against him. Focusing on one technique at the next level will benefit him, Louisiana-Lafayette appeared to have a mishmash of techniques/teachings. Oversteps with receiver’s jab steps when trying to mirror them at the line of scrimmage. Only a solid buzz step, with the steps varying in length and his body height going “jerky”—needs to stay at a low height rather than bobbing up and down. Adequate half turn technique and footwork, often crossing his feet. As a result he gets caught on the back of his feet and is unable to maintain the cushion, seeing faster receivers burn past him before he can even get close to transitioning. It also forces him to take additional, added steps that reduce his ability to break on balls underneath or stuff like deep outs or comebacks in off-man. Click-and-close is also slowed by getting too upright in his shuffle, reducing his ability to explode. Adequate transitional balance Youth Will Dissly Jersey , with adequate, rigid, and high hips often seeing him stumble and/or lose a lot of speed when flipping his hips to run downfield with receiver. This allows the receiver to get on top of him. His high hips also make his speed turn very cumbersome and essentially a recipe for getting burnt. His squeezing of receivers to the sideline appeared far more inconsistent in 2017. In intermediate zones such as hook-curl, possesses adequate awareness of receivers, lets them pass through his zone without disrupting them. Also loses the location of receivers when the route goes in behind him. Adequate deep zone positioning and keys, struggles to read from #1 to #2 and bisect two vertical routes in his deep zone. Adequate zone eye discipline, keeps eyes on the QB and allows receivers in behind his deep quarter. Adequate eye discipline and patience in man coverage, glances back at the quarterback rather than keeping his attention on the receiver during short and intermediate routes, which naturally affects and reduces his reaction times to receivers’ cuts. His eye discipline is adequate with motion into the backfield, such as orbit. Gets caught peeking which slows his reaction to the snap. When he does react fast to routes, it is often because he guesses in his route diagnosis rather than correctly identifying the pattern. This causes issues on double moves but also with not staying square to the line of scrimmage in press when the receiver has not clearly declared—locks his hips and gives the receiver an open path. This is not so much of an issue when the receiver releases outside, but inside it is a massive flaw. For instance, on the goalline he guesses on the fade, allowing the slant inside of him. Adequate timing of reaching in to play the ball when not in phase with receiver on over the shoulder catches, needs to read the eyes of the receiver. He is slow to adjust and play the ball in mid-air. Also mistimes his jumps to play the ball when in intermediate zones. Adequate playmaker—he is keen to play the receiver rather than the ball and missed numerous interception chances, some of which were gifted to him. Adequate hands, with the radii often too wide, allowing the ball to hit one hand or go right through them. On the rare occasions where a blocker does get arms on him first, he is an adequate dis-engager who needs a move and plan to rid him of the arms—be it a club, swim etc. When taking on blocks he needs to learn the right moment to disengage and not get sucked into the blocker for too long. Solid open-field tackling, often fails to break down and gets left in the dirt by a move. Only solid competitive toughness, at times he rallied to the ball and other times, notably when down in games, he lacked hustle. Highlight TapeEvaluating a player based on highlights is a terrible process. However, it is an effective way to gain an idea of their style of play:Fit in SeattleThomas is immediately behind the rest of the competition due to his late arrival. He must learn the Seahawks’ cornerback technique, which is going to be especially hard in-season. Playing catch-up will be hard, but he has the athletic tools to make it work. (Just note the scheme fit section of my scouting report) However http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-michael-dickson-jersey , Thomas’ lack of ball skills is a major concern. This is a list of the things that are true about the 2017-2018 Seattle Seahawks, a team that just clinched another playoff berth:All-Pro strong safety Kam Chancellor was injured last season and has been unable to play since. The team signed him to a lucrative contract extension prior to that, which is taking up a significant amount of their cap space in 2018.The team fired offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and replaced him with Brian Schottenheimer. The first move was applauded by many, the second move was ridiculed by most. The team fired defensive coordinator Kris Richard and replaced him with Ken Norton, Jr. The first move was probably questioned by many and surprising to say the least, while the second move involved a coach who had been fired by the Oakland Raiders, of all teams. The team replaced Tom Cable with Mike Solari. Few didn’t like this. They traded Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Bennett for almost no return and no savings against the 2018 cap. They released All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman. All-Pro free safety Earl Thomas broke his leg in Week 4.Between Kam, Bennett, Sherman, and Thomas, the Seahawks are spending almost $28 million on those four players with virtually no production other than four games from Thomas. They also lost defensive end Cliff Avril in Week 4 of last season and never really found a replacement for him. They waived their first pick in 2017, Malik McDowell, and they’ve still never seen him play for them. They didn’t have a second round pick in 2018. Instead, they drafted running back Rashaad Penny, who has been helpful but contributed very little as a rookie. Third round pick Rasheem Green has done even less. En total, their contributions from the first round of the draft since 2017 is a little bit of Penny, their return on the second round is some poor play by Ethan Pocic, and the third round is a little bit of production from Green, a lot of starts (but mostly inconsistent-to-uninspiring play) by Shaquill Griffin, inconsistencies from Nazair Jones, not much from Delano Hill, and virtually nothing from Amara Darboh.Basically, if you took away the first, second, and third round by Seattle over the last two years, you wouldn’t change the team by much. In fact, fourth round tight end Will Dissly looked like a steal who could offset that issue but he tore his Achilles. The team also let Paul Richardson (second on the team in yards for 2017) and Jimmy Graham (third in yards Bradley McDougald Jersey , first in touchdowns) leave via free agency. Some fans lamented the lack of compensatory picks and their production could not or at least was not replaced. The team lost Sheldon Richardson in free agency with Richardson saying that their offer was a joke. Instead, they used some cap space to sign Tom Johnson and Shemar Stephen in his place, then released Johnson after Week 1. Some fans ridiculed their handling of the Richardson and/or Johnson situations, and the team has been transparent in their admission of mistakes made. Less loud are the voices of praise that the front office found Jarran Reed in the second round in 2016.As the season approached, it became apparent that number one receiver Doug Baldwin was seriously hurt and that he might not be at 100-percent at any point in the year. Baldwin had one target and zero catches in Week 1, then missed Weeks 2 and 3, before returning in Week 4. In Week 5, he had one yard on one target. He also missed Week 14.K.J. Wright was seriously hurt just before the season and has missed all but four games. His cap hit this year was $8 million. The team found a gem replacement in Mychal Kendricks. After three games he was suspended for eight games. When he returned, he broke his leg.Starting running back Chris Carson missed two games with injury.Backup running back Rashaad Penny broke his finger in the preseason and has also missed the last two games.Free agent signee, planned starting tight end Ed Dickson opened the year in NFI, missing six games.Starting cornerback Tre Flowers missed Week 2, further weakening a secondary that had lost Sherman, Jeremy Lane, and offseason signees like Dontae Johnson and Byron Maxwell.Offseason signee D.J. Fluker has missed five games.Germain Ifedi missed Week 16.Dion Jordan was expected to pick up some pass rush production and has done almost nothing.J.D. McKissic opened the year on injured reserve, unexpectedly. C.J. Prosise still couldn’t stay healthy or do anything productive.Jordan Simmons steps in as a solid replacement for Fluker, then goes right onto IR after his second start.Bobby Wagner missed Week 2.The Seahawks schedule has ended up including games against the 9-6 Cowboys, 11-4 Bears, 12-3 Rams (twice), 11-4 Chargers, 11-4 Chiefs, and 8-6-1 Vikings. All playoff teams, if Minnesota wins next week or the Eagles lose. It’s a significant amount of difficult games. The team was 0-2 after two games, 2-3 after five, and 4-5 after nine. They are also ... going to the playoffs. Again.

On Sunday the Seattle Seahawks took on the Los Angeles Rams. Each team entered the Week 10 game having lost in Week 9 Cheap Doug Baldwin Jersey , and neither wanted to be the team to leave this game with a two game losing streak. For the Rams, a win would all but secure the NFC West division, while the Seahawks wanted a win to keep the door cracked not just on seeding for a Wild Card playoff spot, but for the very slim possibility of overtaking the Rams in the West over the final two months of the season. Unfortunately for Seattle fans, it wasn’t meant to be, as there were simply too many key pieces missing for the Hawks, as Chris Carson and D.J. Fluker were both out with injury, and the defense simply could not stop the Rams high powered offense. Rookie running back Rashaad Penny looked great for the first time this season, and Tyler Lockett caught his seventh touchdown pass of the season, but it was not enough to overcome the Rams. Here’s how Twitter reacted.Late in the game things got heated between Aaron Donald and Justin Britt, and that led to some extracurricular activity not just between plays, but after the game as well. The disagreement between Donald and the Hawks linemen likely had to do with the fact that Donald did what he wanted for much of the game, finishing with 2.5 sacks and 5 hits on Russell Wilson. Now, while Donald is obviously an immense talent on the field, I can’t imagine that the league will look kindly on either his retaliation against Justin Britt late in the game, or on his post-game antics. I’d expect a fine at the very least, and a suspension seems warranted, though I’m not sure how much a suspension would actually do since over the last seven weeks of the season the Rams opponents for the remainder of the season have a combined record of 24-29. That 24-29 record is not bad, but the next game is against the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs, so after next week the Rams’ final five games will be against teams that are a combined 15-28. In any case, it obviously wasn’t all bad, so here are some positives takeaways from the game. And another angle. In the immediate aftermath of the Seattle Seahawks loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Pete Carroll stated that it was believed that right guard Jordan Simmons had a grade 1 knee sprain Justin Britt Jersey , and that his status would be evaluated going forward. That is not a horrible diagnosis, as a player’s ability to return from or play through such an injury exists at some level. Unfortunately for the Hawks, it appears that the initial assessment of the injury may have been inaccurate. Specifically, on Monday Carroll provided an update stating that while it can not yet be categorized as a “legit” injury, it’s is a “pretty good” injury. What that means for the Seahawks is that if D.J. Fluker cannot go, they may be looking for help at right guard. Whether or not Fluker will be able to suit up on Sunday is still up in the air, but they’ll know more in the coming days. So, if neither Fluker nor Simmons are able to play, that then leaves the right guard spot to most likely fall to Ethan Pocic. However, following Pocic’s poor showing Sunday against San Francisco, if Fluker is unable to play, it is possible the team could look elsewhere for help. The most logical next choice could be practice squad guard Jordan Roos, who spent last season on the active roster, seeing mostly special teams action before playing in place of an injured Pocic against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17. If Simmons’ injury is significant enough to land him on IR, and the team decides to add outside help, there are not a lot of recognizable names available at this late juncture in the season. There are a handful, including:Jahri EvansAllen BarbreEthan CooperMatt TobinJohn JerrySkyler PhillipsEvans is a name everyone probably recognizes from his cup of coffee in Seattle in 2016 prior to his return to the New Orleans Saints that season, before spending 2017 with the Green Bay Packers. I don’t know if he’d have any interest in playing for a contender, or if he’s even in football shape, he just happens to be on this list of NFL free agents.Barbre and Tobin both kind of fall into the same boat. They have both been in the league for some time, having spent time with several different teams over the years, but neither is great. Neither is truly a fit for right guard in Mike Solari’s system, but they’re both names that have spend time with the Seahawks in recent seasons Cheap Ethan Pocic Jersey , so are at least familiar with assistant offensive line coach Pat Ruel. Next up are Jerry and Cooper. Jerry is a veteran of the league who spent the last two seasons playing for as a member of the New York Giants, and he has the size and familiarity with what Solari likes to do. Cooper was a 2017 undrafted free agent who spent most of last season on the practice squad of the Giants, so he also has experience with Solari, though at just 6’2” and 322 pounds, he doesn’t quite bring the size of a guy like Jerry, Fluker or Simmons. Last on the list is Skyler Phillips, an offensive lineman who played college football at Idaho State before signing the with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in the spring. He was waived at the end of training camp and is currently a free agent. Listed at 6’3” and 344 pounds in college, at first glance he would seem to have the size Solari likes. Unfortunately, coaches seem to tend to overstate how big their players are, and when Phillips showed up at the combine he weighed in at just 318 pounds. He did demonstrate impressive athleticism for that size (31 reps on the bench at his pro day, 104” broad and 29” vertical at the combine, while posting a 5.09 time in the 40).I’m kind of suprised he is not a member of the Oakland Raiders, or at least not on their practice squad with those measurables, but perhaps Tom Cable simply wants to wait until he’s traded Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn in the offseason before bringing in any more of his players. Speaking of Cable and the Raiders, over the past couple of weeks Jon Gruden’s Oakland squad has found itself in a very similar situation where it is short on guards. Osemele has been battling a knee injury since early in the year which caused him to miss Weeks 5 and 6, and a more recent toe injury has kept him out of each of the last two games. Stepping in to start for Osemele in Week 14 was Jon Feliciano, a 2015 fourth round pick who has made just eight starts in his career. However, Feliciano was promptly injured in Week 14, which led the Raiders to sign Chaz Green.Green is a name that some fans may recognize from his time with the Dallas Cowboys from 2015 until 2017. A former third round pick of Dallas in 2015, Green spent the entire 2015 season inactive, and then was the swing tackle for 2016. And then 2017 happened. For those who don’t remember what happened to Green, he is the tackle who stepped at left tackle in late 2017 for an injured Tyron Smith, leading to the Adrian Clayborn debacle in Dallas. And here’s more just because I don’t like the Cowboys. Now Duane Brown Jersey , back to Cable and the Raiders, following injuries to both Osemele and Feliciano (as well as to starting right guard Gabe Jackson), the Raiders were forced to sign the aforementioned Chaz Green at the end of November. Then, nineteen days after Green was signed, he was thrust into the starting lineup where he got to face off against two time All-Pro, six time Pro Bowler Geno Atkins. The result was, in a word, predictable. I could tell you all about it, but if a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll simply put up a photo essay worth several thousand words. In the fourth quarter Atkins simply took over and began dominating Green. The first two times he took down Carr, he did so on a swim move. And then later in the fourth quarter he again used a swim move to slide right past Green. So, after recording his second sack of the game on Carr, both on swim moves, Atkins decided to use a bull rush and absolutely obliterate Green. I am fairly certain that is not proper form. So, in short, what Green couldn’t pick up in three years with the Cowboys he probably hasn’t learned in less than three weeks with the Raiders. Point is, there’s not a lot of quality options available on the free agent market, so while the thought of the Hawks having to go with Pocic or Roos at right guard may not be extremely attractive, it may be the best option available to the Hawks. Obviously, it’s only Tuesday, so we’ll have to wait and see what kind of updates we get on Fluker’s hamstring and Simmons’ knee, and until then it’s kind of wait and see. And hope.
