First of all, there is no quick fix to the situation that is the current Arizona Cardinals. We as a fan base are in for a very long haul. This is a remedy for the fans searching for a bright light in the current sea of darkness. 1st Round (4th Overall Selection)Andraez ‘Greedy’ Williams - CornerbackLouisiana State - Redshirt Sophomore 6’3’’, 184 Pounds I was never very fond of the previous corners the Cardinals explored, and they always seemed like short term solutions. Patrick Peterson deserves every penny, if I were the Cards front office, I’d give him a competent second corner option since Pat P has obviously noticed the revolving door that is installed in the secondary room so, if the Cardinals draft between 4-10 Youth Budda Baker Jersey , Greedy Williams is where you meet need and BPA. Honestly, it’s kind of a cluster, between 4-7, it’s probably Quinnen Williams of Alabama, Greedy, Jonah Williams of Bama, and my personal favorite; Devin White of LSU. All would fix something for the Cardinals. Greedy is a very fluid corner, plays great press-man coverage, and seems to have longest arms in the draft. The Cardinals get a guy that will probably boost Patrick’s morale, I mean, who are offenses going to target when both the number one and number two are taken away. 2nd Round (35th Overall Selection)Jon Dietzen - Offensive TackleWisconsin - Redshirt Junior6’6’’, 323 PoundsThis whole offensive line for the Cards is pitiful, as they appear give up pressures on a consistent basis, and they have run my patience into oblivion. I have no confidence in Mike Iupati, who seems slow and overpowered. Justin Pugh probably needs another year in the system but has been a problem. D.J. Humphries is getting beat off the edge consistently, but I still have belief in him for the second part of the year. Don’t ask about Andre Smith, he should be a backup tackle at best. Jon Dietzen is a prototypical Wisconsin lineman, big and sturdy. He had an injury, but he came back this year stronger and has been very good with his mobility. The whole line seems to need improvement Stitched Haason Reddick Jersey , Jon Dietzen just seems to be the first cog to plug in, and it doesn’t diminish Humphries, as Dietzen can stay on the right side.3rd Round (68th Overall Selection)Trevon Tate - Offensive GuardMemphis - Redshirt Senior6’4’’, 295 PoundsHonestly, drafting another lineman isn’t out of the question for me, as I see a retool necessary. I draft a guard to immediately replace Mike Iupati, with an athletic guard from Memphis who’s going to be given a huge draft boost once his athleticism is on display at the Senior Bowl and combine. Tate is a three-year starter and has been a consistent plus in pass-protection. Is he a plug-and-play type? I would like to think so.4th Round (107th Overall Selection)Gary Jennings Jr. - Wide ReceiverWest Virginia - Senior6’2’’, 215 PoundsWe all know of David Sills or will know about him, but not many have thought about Gary Jennings yet, someone with good size and who runs great routes. Some are expecting to hear bad news from Fitzgerald as far as retirement goes, but with a little more than $70M to spend, the Cardinals should have options to put at the top of the room. Jennings is a solid playmaker, someone with a knack for getting open and making plays with the ball in his hands. Jennings creates space with creative releases, and he has solid hands. Great redzone target, with nine total scores thus far. 5th Round (142nd Overall Selection)Carl Granderson - Defensive EndWyoming - Senior6’5’’, 261 PoundsA constant motor guy, Granderson plays as if his hair is on fire, and seems like a perfect fit for the Cardinals. The Grand man is nice fit for the 4-3, and could be a situational pass-rusher. What does that do for the Cardinals in 2019? Both Benson Mayowa and Markus Golden are expected to be free agents Youth Haason Reddick Jersey , and the need could be apparent. Granderson, in this spot, is perfect. He can be a situational rusher, with developmental capabilities. 6th Round (176th Overall Selection)Davion Davis - Wide ReceiverSam Houston - Senior6’0’’, 185 PoundsThis whole offense needs to be improved, and it starts at the receiver position, even with Larry Fitzgerald (retire), Christian Kirk (big fan), and Chad Williams (he’ll progress). I think the draft is scarce for receiver this year, but in my mock, we get one of the better small school ones. Davion Davis has 10 touchdowns on the year, and seems to have a handle on routes that could be next-level. 7th Round (212th Overall Selection)Natrez Patrick - Inside Linebacker Georgia - Redshirt Senior6’3’’, 242 PoundsIf not for a drug related issue, we might be talking about the athletic, lanky Natrez Patrick as a potential mid-round pick. He is a natural playmaker with movement skills that impress, and could be a starter for the Cardinals in the near future. At the very least, a special teams contributor early on. 7th Round (251st Overall Selection via Compensatory Selection)Justin Thompson - KickerKennesaw State - Senior 5’10’’, 168 PoundsI cannot be the only one tired of seeing Phil Dawson.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated after their win against the Colts that Dixon is still not 100%. “[Kenneth Dixon] is not 100% but went out there and fought through it and made some good hard runs. He’s a physical, quick guy,” Harbaugh stated, via the team’s official website.Mark Andrews had a quiet preseason performance against the Colts, and the Ravens could be exercising with their rookie tight end. He has battled a ‘muscle-tissue’ injury throughout training camp. Offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley suffered a minor knee strain during Week 2 of the preseason. Stanley’s injury is not considered to be serious, but he could be held out of Baltimore’s preseason matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Stanley was not the only offensive lineman to suffer an injury against Indianapolis as James Hurst also appeared to have left the game early as well. New,24commentsThe talented center from Denver appears to be hitting the free agent market this offseason. ESTShareTweetShareShareCould Matt Paradis be a free agent option for the Ravens? Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe Ravens offensive line held up relatively well last season. Still, entering the draft and free agency, center and guard appear to be two of the team’s biggest offseason needs. In their 23-17 playoff loss to the Chargers, Baltimore’s offensive line was manhandled and the entire offense struggled as a result.Ever since Matt Birk retired following the Ravens Super Bowl victory, the center position has been a bit of a revolving door. Baltimore has experimented with several different players like Gino Gradkowski, Jeremy Zuttah, Ryan Jensen White C.J. Mosley Jersey , and most recently, Matt Skura. Gradkowski and Zuttah were inconsistent and failed to stick around for more than two seasons. While Jensen was talented but played his way out of the Ravens price range after a career-best season in 2017. For the past two seasons, undrafted free agent Matt Skura has held down a starting job along the offensive line. Based on his performance, it is fair to say that the Ravens could stand to upgrade at the center position heading into next year. Skura struggled in 2017-18, and this past season he earned a 58.2 grade on PFF, which ranked 23rd among all centers in the NFL. Skura does not possess any great qualities that you want in a center, as he lacks physicality and discipline. His inconsistencies can be masked if surrounded by a strong supporting cast, but the performance at the left guard position, where Alex Lewis and James Hurst saw the majority of action, also left much to be desired. As the Ravens retool their offensive towards a run-centric scheme in Lamar Jackson’s first full year as the starting quarterback, recently-promoted offensive coordinator Greg Roman recognizes the need to bolster the offensive line. “We have to have a strong, powerful offensive line,” said Roman in a recent press conference. “That’s where it all starts, domination up front.”The Ravens could look to draft an interior offensive lineman with their first-round pick or with one of their two third-round selections, but they could also explore the free agent market for some offensive line help. Luckily, there are quite a few strong options C.J. Mosley Jersey 2019 , including Matt Paradis. Paradis, 29, is currently recovering from a fractured fibula injury he suffered early in November. Prior to this injury, however, Paradis boasted an impressive streak of playing 3,850 consecutive snaps. Paradis has played the past five seasons in Denver, but the Broncos are reportedly unlikely to resign him. The longtime Bronco has elevated his play in recent seasons and has become one of the more consistent, well-rounded centers in the league since earning a starting role in 2015. Before suffering an injury last season, Paradis graded out as the second-best center in the league with a 79.0 grade. His run-blocking ability was instrumental in the emergence of undrafted rookie running back Phillip Lindsay, as well as the strong play of former Broncos back C.J. Anderson, who rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2017. Spotrac isn’t currently projecting Paradis’ market value, but he figures to see a substantial raise over his currently salary of just below $3 million dollars. For reference, here are the highest paid centers in the league by annual salary: Ryan Jensen - $10,500,000Brandon Linder - $10 White Marshal Yanda Jersey ,340,600Weston Richburg - $9,500,000Travis Frederick - $9,400,00Alex Mack - $9,000,000 His recent fibula injury could potentially affect his market value, but given his consistency and strong play in recent years, Paradis has an argument to earn somewhere in the ballpark of the above top earning centers. The Ravens were not willing to empty their pocket books to keep Ryan Jensen in town when he hit the free agent market, but the circumstances are different now. Baltimore has more cap space and flexibility than the have in quite some time, and the offensive line appears to be more important than ever to the team’s success.Upgrading the center position should be high on the Ravens offseason to-do list, and if Eric DeCosta is serious about doing so, then Matt Paradis makes for a good target in free agency.

The only cause for concern would be if none of these guys participate tomorrow. With it being a short week, the Panthers are being cautious and giving anyone nursing an injury as much rest as possible. Torrey Smith and Ryan Kalil are in danger of missing Thursday night’s game, but we won’t know more on that until tomorrow or Thursday.Ron Rivera, however, is optimistic that Kalil will suit up.Due to the weather and the fact that they play in two days, the Panthers had a glorified walkthrough at practice today. New,52commentsOver the last 10 years the Panthers have generally wasted what should be valuable assets in third round picks.EDTShareTweetShareShareWhy have the Panthers’ recent third round draft picks been so bad? Bob Donnan-USA TODAY SportsThe Carolina Panthers currently hold two picks in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft, No. 77 and No. 100 (compensatory pick). Third round picks are usually something to covet. The players available in the third round tend to have enough talent to still be among the top handful of players at their respective positions. Realistic expectations for third round picks should fall somewhere between capable depth on the low end to quality starter on the high end. Even sweeter, their cap hits tend to fall just below $1 million per year, on average Blue Shaq Thompson Jersey , over the duration of their four-year rookie contracts. But based on the Carolina Panthers recent draft history, even finding “capable depth” with their third round picks in 2019 may be a reach. Take a look at Carolina’s woeful yield from their 12 third round picks from 2009 through 2018:Carolina Panthers third round picks 2009-2018YearPick No.PosNameNotesYearPick No.PosNameNotesThe only player the Panthers drafted, developed, then retained via contract extension is Trai Turner. Carolina got good value out of Brandon LaFell throughout his four-year rookie contract as he averaged 42 receptions and 596 yards per season, but LaFell departed via free agency once his rookie deal was up. Trading a 2012 third round pick for Greg Olsen remains the single best trade in Panthers history. But look at the amount of busts! Six of the nine players drafted didn’t even play out their four-year rookie contracts with the Panthers, and that includes 2017 selection Daeshon Hall. Outside of Turner and LaFell, the only other players to carve out somewhat legitimate NFL careers are Daryl Worley and Terrell McClain. The jury is still out on 2018 selection Rashaan Gaulden. What makes the Panthers recent stretch of futility even more perplexing Shaq Thompson Jersey 2019 , if not outright frustrating, is the fact that they consistently nailed their third round picks throughout the 2000s. Take a look at some of the players Carolina drafted in the third round between 2001 and 2008: Steve Smith, Will Witherspoon, Travelle Wharton, Evan Mathis, James Anderson, Charles Johnson Blue Taylor Moton Jersey , Charles Godfrey, and Dan Connor (though injury limited Connor’s career). That’s right, between 2001 and 2008 the Panthers drafted eight players in the third round who went on to have solid NFL careers. They also had a couple of busts - Mike Seidman and Atiyyah Ellison, for example - but not many. While general manager Marty Hurney has done a commendable job addressing roster gaps this offseason, the Panthers need to absolutely crush the 2019 draft. This includes getting it right at No. 77 and No. 100. Assuming both Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly remain healthy (or can get fully healthy in Cam’s case), the window for another Panthers postseason run should remain open for the next couple of years. Finding two starter-level players in the third round of the 2019 draft would go a long way in keeping that window open.
