My great grand uncle fought as a VC in he 5th Division in that battle. I only manage to talk to him a few times before he passed away in 2012. He talked a lot about the good and the bad things they did during the war. This one he talked a lot, and till his dying breath he still doesnt believe that they were only 108 Anzac soldiers he fought, due to the fact that they were so ferocious. Even till his death he still believed he was fighting against a larger force. That was how badass the Anzacs were. Additional Note: We also called him Uncle Charlie. A nickname which he hated at first but later learned to love before he died. Rest in peace uncle.
