There is a swirl of discussion over the availability of a few key players for Game 5 of the first-round playoff series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers.

This much Darrell Green Jersey , though, is certain: The Penguins, who hold a 3-1 series lead, can wrap things up and move on to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a win Friday at PPG Paints Arena.

Meanwhile, the Flyers are facing elimination.

“We’re not ready for our season to be over,” Philadelphia captain Claude Giroux said Thursday. “We go to Pittsburgh, tough building to play in. We know we can win there. We know if we play our game we can win.

“So we’re going to go out there, play our game and be back (home) for Game 6.”

Giroux, who had 102 points during the regular season, has been held to one assist and is minus-7 in the four games this series.

Philadelphia general manager Ron Hextall exonerated Giroux, saying there are a lot of factors in one players’ numbers being down, and he didn’t have to get technical when breaking down his club’s game plan for extending its season.

“We need to play better Authentic Allen Robinson Jersey ,” Hextall said. “They’ve played extremely well, and we need to play better.”

Philadelphia top-line center and Selke Trophy finalist Sean Couturier, who missed Game 4 because of an injury sustained in practice Tuesday, skated but did not practice Thursday and accompanied the team to Pittsburgh. After practice, he indicated there is a chance he could play.

“Feeling better every day, and we’ll see (Friday) how I feel,” Couturier said.

Pittsburgh will be without tenacious winger Patric Hornqvist for the second straight game because of an unspecified injury, although he skated on his own Thursday.

The Penguins apparently dodged a huge setback after goaltender Matt Murray needed attention from a trainer during practice Thursday. Murray remained on the ice and continued in goal until the end of practice.

Afterward, he declined to say what ailed him but proclaimed, “I’m good.”

Murray in Game 4 became the NHL goalie to reach 25 playoff wins the fastest, doing it in 36 games.

With two shutouts this series – along with a 1.27 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage — Murray has been part of a dominating Pittsburgh performance in its three wins, which have been by a combined score of 17-1.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby — whose goal and assist in Game 4 gave him 173 career playoff points Andre Holmes Jersey , moving him ahead of Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux for the club record — warned that his team’s three lopsided wins haven’t come as easily as they might have looked.

“It’s playoff hockey,” he said. “They’ve had chances, and we’ve gotten saves and big plays.

“It’s about momentum and different points in games, and we’ve executed well, but that can change quickly if you don’t play the right way.”

Crosby and the Penguins know what facing a team on the precipice is all about after winning the Stanley Cup the past two years. In those two playoff runs, they were 8-5 when they had a chance to eliminate an opponent, 4-3 last year.

“It’s always hard to end someone’s season. We know they’re going to be desperate and throw everything at us,” Penguins winger Jake Guentzel said.

Terrell Owens has decided to celebrate his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame at Chattanooga, where he played college football.

The former NFL All-Pro receiver, who has said he was not attending the induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio, released a statement on Tuesday saying he would give his acceptance speech at his alma mater.

"I have decided to give my Hall of Fame speech at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in McKenzie Arena on Saturday Kentavius Street Jersey , August 4," Owens posted on Twitter. "The event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 3:17 p.m."

Owens added that he is "proud to be a Moc, and I'm honored to be able to share this experience with my family, friends, teammates and fans at the place that provided me an opportunity beyond high school and where I truly began to find myself as an athlete."

The 44-year-old Owens said he is looking forward to the event, and "Getcha popcorn ready."

Owens was a three-sport athlete at Chattanooga, where he played football from 1992-95. He also played basketball and ran track for the Mocs. Owens said he "realized just how much I want to celebrate what will inevitably be the best weekend of my life at a place that means so much to me."

He was voted into the hall in February after being denied in his first two years of eligibility. His announcement last month that he was skipping the Aug. 4 induction ceremony at the Pro Football Hall of Fame is unprecedented by an enshrinee.

In a statement released last month by his publicist, Owens said: "While I am incredibly appreciative of this opportunity, I have made the decision to publicly decline my invitation to attend the induction ceremony in Canton.

"After visiting Canton earlier this year, I came to the realization that I wish to celebrate what will be one of the most memorable days of my life http://www.washingtonredskinsteamonline.com/zach-brown-jersey , elsewhere," Owens added. "At a later date, I will announce where and when I will celebrate my induction."

Chattanooga athletic director Mark Wharton said Tuesday that Owens first spoke with school officials "several months ago" about the possibility of having some type of event in Chattanooga. At the time, Owens hadn't yet indicated he was skipping the Canton induction ceremony.

Wharton said Owens spoke with them again "two to three weeks ago" about the possibility of giving his induction speech on campus and that officials were "ecstatic" about the idea.

"Obviously we supported him going to Canton," Wharton said. "At the time, there hadn't been any living Hall of Fame members who did not go to Canton, so our assumption was that he was (going to Canton). But in multiple conversations with him and his team, he felt most comfortable doing it in a place that molded him into the player and person he is today."

Wharton said the specifics of the Aug. 4 ceremony haven't been finalized, but he expects a weekend full of events around town honoring Owens.

Owens entered the league as a third-round pick by San Francisco in 1996 and developed into a star known for some memorable playoff appearances, including his winning 25-yard TD catch to beat Green Bay in 1999; his 177 yards in a comeback win against the Giants in 2003; and his nine catches for 122 yards in the 2004 Super Bowl against New England just seven weeks after breaking his leg.

He ranks second to Jerry Rice with 15,934 yards receiving and is third on the all-time touchdowns receiving list with 153.

Owens heavily criticized the voting process when he failed to be elected in 2016 and 2017. Among the reasons he fell short were his being considered a divisive teammate and negative presence in the locker room.

The ovation moved Aaron Rodgers to tears.

The Green Bay Packers fans showed their appreciation with the two-time NFL MVP about to take his first snaps at Lambeau Field in almost a year. Once he got behind center http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jordan-poyer-jersey , Rodgers needed just one drive to look right at home back in Titletown.

Rodgers connected with tight end Jimmy Graham for an 8-yard score , and Tramon Williams had a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage of the Packers' 51-34 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.

"The biggest thing, the goal tonight with Aaron in that first drive was to get the ball in the end zone," coach Mike McCarthy said. "And I thought we did a nice job."

The response from fans seemed just as meaningful to Rodgers.

He was 2 of 4 for 35 yards in his first game at Lambeau since Sept. 28. He broke his collarbone two weeks later at Minnesota, an injury that doomed the Packers in a 7-9 season.

"To be back at Lambeau was a thrill and the ovation touched me," Rodgers said. "I have to kind of wipe away some tears in my eyes."

Starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger watched from the sideline in shorts and a T-shirt. He and second-stringer Landry Jones had already been ruled out for the game when Roethlisberger left a training camp practice on Tuesday with a possible concussion.

Big Ben looked just fine while chatting with Rodgers as they walked to their respective locker rooms at halftime. After the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Roethlisberger was out of the concussion protocol.

Sounds like he'll be back at practice Saturday.

"He's out of the protocol. He's a full participant," Tomlin said.

The Steelers got off to rough start after Mason Rudolph threw the interception returned by Williams.

But five minutes later, Rudolph found JuJu Smith-Schuster for a 4-yard touchdown pass. Rudolph Isaac Yiadom Color Rush Jersey , who is competing with Joshua Dobbs for a backup job, was just 5 of 12 for 47 yards in playing the first half.

Dobbs didn't look much better after throwing a 22-yard interception returned for a touchdown by rookie cornerback Josh Jackson in the third quarter.

"We'd just like to have those plays back, but the deal is you don't get those plays back," Tomlin said. "So, hopefully, there's a learning process there in it for all of us."

Dobbs finished strong and connected with rookie receiver James Washington for two second-half touchdowns . He was 12 of 17 for 192 yards.

GOING TO GRAHAM

Green Bay is always a threat in the NFC as long as Rodgers is healthy. This year, he has an intriguing option in the red zone in the 6-foot-7 Graham, who signed as a free agent in the offseason.

Rodgers drew the Steelers offside on third-and-10 from the 13 for a 5-yard penalty.

On the next play, he stood tall in the face of a rush before throwing a high pass into the middle of the end zone for Graham. He spiked the ball before heading into the stands for his first Lambeau Leap.

SMITH-SCHUSTER SCORES

Besides Roethlisberger Kyle Williams Jersey , the Steelers didn't have two other stars. Receiver Antonio Brown sat out, while running back Le'Veon Bell still hasn't signed his franchise tender.

But Smith-Schuster is picking up where he left off following a promising rookie year after scoring his second preseason TD. The score wrapped up a wild opening five minutes in which the Packers raced out to a 14-point lead before the Steelers scored two straight touchdowns.

Green Bay's backups pulled away from there.

STAT LINES

Second-string quarterback Brett Hundley was 6 of 9 for 77 yards. He also scored on a 10-yard run . Third-stringer DeShone Kizer connected with receiver Jake Kumerow for an 82-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

James Conner had a 26-yard touchdown run for the Steelers in the first quarter while the Packers still had many starters on the field. Washington scored on a 19-yard pass from Dobbs after turning and extending his arms past a defender to retrieve the ball.

QUOTABLE

"Every time he gets a rep, my eyes are on him. I'm just studying him each and every day, picking his brain, just trying to become a better receiver." 鈥?Washington on watching Brown in practice.

INJURIES

Steelers: Backup C Patrick Morris left in the third quarter with an undisclosed injury.

Packers: RG Justin McCray (calf) and RB Jamaal Williams (ankle), both starters, left in the second quarter. ... Kumerow left in the third quarter with a shoulder injury.

NATIONAL ANTHEM

There were no apparent displays of protest by players on either team during the national anthem.

UP NEXT

Steelers: Host the Tennessee Titans on Aug. 25.

Packers: Visit the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 24.

Carey Price is arguably the best goaltender in the NHL. Drafted fifth overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2005, Price has gone on to a stellar career so far winning the Ted Lindsay, Jennings Nathan Peterman Jersey , Vezina and Hart trophies, all in 2015.聽He became聽the first goalie in history to win four awards in one year. Add in Gold medals at the World Juniors, World Championships and Olympics,聽and it鈥檚 easy to see why Price is considered the best goalie in the league.

But he doesn鈥檛 have a Stanley Cup, and while he has been the face of the organization for more than a decade, Montreal still hasn鈥檛 won it all with Price in net. It鈥檚 no fault of his considering the scoring troubles Montreal has had, along with their lack of defence.

Price comes with a heavy price tag on him, as next season he will earn $10.5 million against the salary cap, the most for any goalie in the league. But his time in Montreal could be nearing an end. At聽30 years old Womens Connor Hellebuyck Jersey , the window for Price to win a Stanley Cup is closing, and Montreal isn鈥檛 in the position to contend for it聽in the next couple of years. The list of teams that would want Carey Price in net would be long. In fact, all 30 teams could make a case for him. But Price聽likely has his list of teams he wouldn鈥檛 want to play for, and teams he would, both for many reasons. Here is our list of those teams.

Trevor Bauer made plenty of quality pitches Womens Josh Anderson Jersey , but it was Cleveland catcher Roberto Perez who made the best throw of the night.

Bauer pitched effectively into the eighth inning as the Indians beat the skidding Kansas City Royals 3-2 on Wednesday for a three-game sweep.

With the Royals trailing by one in the eighth, Whit Merrifield hit a leadoff double before Perez nabbed him attempting to steal third.

”It was a huge play,” Bauer said.

Merrifield, the 2017 AL stolen base champion, said he got a good jump

”They executed. I executed,” Merrifield said. ”They got me this time. It was the right play. If I had a chance to do it again, I’d do it again.”

Perez gave credit to Bauer.

”He was thinking he was going to try and steal,” Perez said. ”He called fastball up and in and I thought that was the game right there. That was on Bauer. He hit me right in the chest and I made a strong throw, and (Jose) Ramirez made a good tag on him. I was fired up.”

Michael Brantley had an early RBI double and the Indians scored all their runs in the first three innings on only one hit. Bauer struck out eight and walked one over 7 2/3 innings.

The plummeting Royals have lost six straight and 18 of 21. They have scored four or fewer runs in 25 of their past 26 games and are barely ahead of Baltimore for the worst record in the majors.

After winning on grand slams by Francisco Lindor and Yan Gomes the previous two nights, the Indians managed only four hits – two in the ninth inning.

Bauer (8-6) has struck out eight or more in eight consecutive starts. He allowed seven hits, six of them singles Womens Dak Prescott Jersey , and is 3-1 in his past four starts.

”It was frustrating in a lot of ways and I was happy the team won,” Bauer said. ”I made some good pitches and gave up some weak hits. I had too many two-strike pitches put into play. I need to clean that up.”

Cody Allen worked the ninth to earn his 18th save in 19 chances. It was his 140th career save, breaking a tie with Bob Wickman for the club record.

Lindor walked to start the game, stole second and scored on Brantley’s double. Brantley went to third on Ramirez’s flyout and scored on Edwin Encarnacion’s sacrifice fly.

The Indians manufactured a run without a hit in the second. Jason Kipnis and Tyler Naquin opened the inning with walks. Perez advanced both with a sacrifice bunt, and Greg Allen delivered a sacrifice fly.

Kansas City used a double steal to create a run in the second. Alex Gordon, who was hit by a pitch, and Hunter Dozier, who reached on an infield single, were at the corners with two outs. They pulled off a successful double steal, with Gordon scoring. It was Dozier’s first career steal.

The last Royals player to steal home was Alex Rios on July 20, 2015 Emmitt Smith Jersey , against Pittsburgh, also as part of a double steal.

Alcides Escobar singled in the Kansas City fifth and advanced to third on Drew Butera’s one-out single. Escobar scored on Merrifield’s sacrifice fly.

Royals starter Trevor Oaks (0-2), recalled from Triple-A Omaha to take Ian Kennedy’s spot in the rotation, was removed after four innings and 73 pitches. He allowed three runs on two hits and four walks.

”The leadoff walks and not having good command, just really frustrating when I’ve walked like one or two guys an outing and now I’m back to four,” Oaks said.

Oaks had a 0.62 ERA in his last seven Triple-A starts. Kennedy went on the disabled list with a strained left oblique.

THE HOT CORNER

Dozier made his first big league start at third base. Dozier played 401 games at third, starting 281, in the Royals’ minor league system. He had started 35 games at first base, two in right field and two as the DH this season.

TRAINER’S ROOM

Indians: OF Brandon Guyer (bruised left knee) did not play after fouling a pitch off his leg in the ninth inning Tuesday. X-rays were negative. … LHP Andrew Miller (right knee inflammation) is scheduled to throw a bullpen Thursday. … LHP Tyler Olson (shoulder strain) threw 17 pitches for Triple-A Columbus on a rehab assignment. He retired two batters, walked one, struck out one and did not allow a hit.

Royals: 3B Mike Moustakas (back spasms) was held out of the lineup for the second straight game. ”It’s not serious at all Peyton Manning Jersey ,” manager Ned Yost said. ”He came in today and still felt it a little bit. With an off day tomorrow, there’s no sense in pushing it.” … OF Bubba Starling (oblique strain) was sent to the rookie-level Arizona League to begin a rehab assignment. Starling, a 2011 first-round draft pick, has not played since May 10 with Triple-A Omaha.

UP NEXT

Indians: Open a homestand Friday against the Athletics with RHP Carlos Carrasco (8-5, 4.24 ERA) starting. Oakland will counter with RHP Paul Blackburn (2-2, 6.46).

Royals: RHP Jason Hammel (2-10, 5.56) starts Friday night against the Red Sox at Kauffman Stadium. LHP Chris Sale (8-4, 2.41) gets the ball for Boston.

—

The Tennessee Titans keep wrapping up their own players with defensive lineman DaQuan Jones the latest to reach agreement on a new deal keeping him on the roster.

The Titans announced Wednesday that they have agreed on a multi-year deal with Jones after reaching a new deal to keep right guard Josh Kline and signing defensive end David King to a one-year deal earlier in the day.

Tennessee also announced they tendered a contract to left guard Quinton Spain, a restricted free agent.

Financial terms on the deals were not released.

A fourth-round pick out of Penn State in 2014, Jones has started 45 of his 51 games, and the 6-foot-4 Kyle Fuller Jersey , 322-pound lineman was playing his best with a career-high 3 陆 sacks before tearing a bicep that put him on injured reserve Dec. 4 .

General manager Jon Robinson claimed Kline off waivers from New England in September 2016. Kline has started 30 games at right guard for Tennessee on a line that allowed the third fewest sacks (63) and blocked for the third most rushing yards (4,020) in the NFL.

An undrafted free agent from Kent State, Kline started 18 of 33 games in New England and won the 2015 Super Bowl.

The Titans agreed to terms Tuesday with a pair of former Patriots . The deals with cornerback Malcolm Butler and running back Dion Lewis will be signed once free agency begins.

Spain, undrafted out of West Virginia, has started 33 of his 35 games played over the past three seasons for the Titans.

King signed a one-year deal after being poised to become an exclusive rights free agent after playing seven games with four tackles and a sack for Tennessee. The Titans picked him up last September in a trade with Kansas City, and King was a seventh-round pick by Philadelphia in 2013 out of Oklahoma.
