The San Francisco 49ers head into Week 3 of the NFL season, which means it’s prediction time once again!

Predict the 49ers’ first offensive play Youth Dustin Hopkins Jersey , tackle, and touchdown vs. Chiefs The 49ers had an ugly win against the Detroit Lions with much to work on in preparation for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs on the other hand are red-hot with offensive playmakers that could make for a long day. With that in mind, it’s time to do predictions for today. The predictions will include:1. The first offensive play the 49ers will run/attempt to execute,2. The first player on defense (not special teams) who will make a tackle, and3. How the team’s first touchdown will be scored (if you think one will be scored). Here are the ground rules for the predictions.Offensive Play Prediction Guidelines: Try to be as specific as you can on what you think the 49ers’ first offensive play will be. Don’t just say “pass play” or “run play”. Instead, say “Garoppolo throws a slant route to Gar莽on for 7 yards” or “Alfred Morris runs right side and picks up three yards.” You can also predict incompletions, interceptions, fumbles, touchdowns, and even a safety if you really think that will happen on the first offensive play!Defensive Tackle Prediction Guidelines: Predicting the first defensive play is much more obscure, so this one is a simpler category -- project who you think will make the team’s first tackle that does not come on special teams or a returned interception/fumble.First Touchdown Against Detroit: If you do not think the 49ers will score a touchdown, then say “no touchdowns” as your answer. Otherwise, predict how you think the 49ers’ first offensive touchdown will be scored, along with the person(s) who will score. You can predict it to be on offense, defense, or special teams. If you predict a passing touchdown, name both the quarterback and the receiver. Here is the template you can copy+paste for your comments:First Offensive Play: First Defensive Tackle: First Touchdown:Here are my predictions.First Offensive Play: Slant catch by Dante Pettis for 15 yardsFirst Defensive Tackle: Reuben Foster of Travis KelceFirst Touchdown: Pierre Garcon Authentic George Kittle Jersey , 15-yard catch in the corner of the endzone with Garoppolo in the pocketRichard Sherman removed from injury report, Marquise Goodwin, Jaquiski Tartt listed as questionable The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report of Week 3, and there is a mix of good and bad news. The good news is that cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Ahkello Witherspoon are good to go after full participation on Friday. The bad news is that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and safety Jaquiski Tartt were both limited on Friday and are listed as questionable — true game-time decisions, according to Kyle Shanahan. Offensive guard Joshua Garnett has been ruled out for the game.Sherman got the Thursday rest in part just to play it safe. Witherspoon was dealing with an ankle injury that Shanahan later said probably should have resulted in an inactive status for him. Given that he went through a full practice on Friday, fingers crossed the ankle holds up against a speedy Chiefs receiver corps.Goodwin’s absence would hurt, but the 49ers are comfortable with Dante Pettis continuing in his expanded role. If Tartt misses Sunday’s game, the 49ers will be particularly short-handed at safety, with questions as to who would replace him next to Adrian Colbert. Antone Exum gets backup work, Jimmie Ward can play the position, and Robert Saleh said Tyvis Powell and D.J. Reed are also getting work there. This will be a big one to watch. On the other side of the ball, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to be missing Eric Berry once again. Berry has been dealing with a heel injury since the preseason, and is a huge absence for this defense. It’s a big reason the Chiefs defense has been so atrocious. He’s listed as doubtful, and is highly unlikely to play.49ers injury reportOut: G Joshua Garnett (toe)Questionable: WR Marquise Goodwin (quadricep), S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder)Chiefs injury reportDoubtful: S Eric Berry (heel), LB Ben Niemann (hamstring)Questionable: RB Spencer Ware (knee)

Giants-Jets “Kudos & Wet Willies” review

OK Authentic Damon Harrison Jersey , New York Giants fans! The Giants defeated the New York Jets 22-16 in preseason football Friday night, so let’s do what we do the morning after games when we have no regrets, but we do have opinions. It’s “Kudos & Wet Willies” time.Kudos to ...First-team OL pass protection — Eli Manning was comfortable in the pocket all night. He threw the ball 23 times, was never sacked and was hit just once. If the Giants can give him this kind of protection during the regular season, Manning is going to have a field day finding mismatches and delivering the ball.Eli Manning — Well, well. Look at this. A well-protected, comfortable Manning completed 17-of-23 passes for 188 yards. There were deep shots of 54 yards to Cody Latimer and 30 yards to Sterling Shepard. The Giants even moved the pocket a few times, asking Manning to throw while moving to both his left and his right.Jhurell Pressley — This is how you walk in off the street and make a strong first impression! Just signed on Monday because the absences of Saquon Barkley (hamstring), Jalen Simmons (concussion) and Robert Martin (leg) left the Giants with just two healthy running backs, Pressley had a game-high 71 yards rushing on 13 carries while playing the entire second half. The 24-year-old has bounced around the league on practice squads since 2016 and probably doesn’t have a realistic shot at a roster spot, but you never know.Sterling Shepard — No Barkley. No Odell Beckham Jr. Evan Engram concussed. Shepard had a nice night with 7 receptions in 7 targets for 78 yards. Love the efficiency.Aldrick Rosas — The second-year placekicker is a preseason phenom. He went 4-for-4 on field goals ranging from 21 to 48 yards on Friday and is now 6-for-6 on field-goal attempts this preseason. Rosas went 8-for-8 last preseason, but followed that up with a not-so-good (18-of-25, 72 percent) regular season.Kerry Wynn — A sack. Two tackles for loss. A quarterback hit. Three tackles. Almost a spectacular diving interception. Wynn’s outstanding preseason continued Friday night.Ray-Ray Armstrong — The veteran linebacker impressed again. He threw a huge block on the 55-yard punt return touchdown by Hunter Sharp, then forced a fumble on a Jets kickoff return that led to a Giant field goal. The return game — Anemic during the first two games, that aspect of the game came alive for the Giants Friday. Sharp had that punt return touchdown and averaged 26.7 yards on three returns. Kalif Raymond averaged 16.3 yards on four returns, including a 35-yard return where he tightrope-walked down the sideline. Cody Latimer, returning kickoffs for the first time as a Giant, had a 23-yard kickoff return. By the way, a little credit to Michael Thomas and Eli Apple on Sharp’s touchdown. They rode the Jets gunner on that side Womens Curtis Riley Jersey , who tried to go down the middle, all the way to the other side of the field. That left Sharp a clear path he took advantage of.Wet Willies to ...Jonathan Stewart — What is there to say? The 31-year-old looked like an aging running back Friday night. He had 3 carries for -7 yards with his longest run going for a yard. He had a critical fumble on first-and-goal at the Jet 6-yard line. His nightmare preseason just got worse, and he now has 10 carries for -9 yards and a fumble. Let’s not overreact in preseason, but it’s fair to begin to wonder if there is any juice left in his legs after 10 season and 1,699 NFL regular-season carries.Run blocking — While Stewart was a disaster, Wayne Gallman fared only a tiny bit better, gaining 8 yards on 6 carries (1.3 per attempt) with the first-team offensive line in the game. Three of the 11 runs between Stewart and Gallman in the first half went for negative yardage. That’s just not going to cut it, and you could tell from the reactions of Pat Shurmur and the linemen after the game that they know it. By the way, some will single out Patrick Omameh and wonder if his starting job is in jeopardy. I doubt that’s the case, but the veteran guard does need to play better.Red zone offense — The Giants got into the red zone three times in the first half. They came away with a fumble and two field goals. Six point out of a possible 21 isn’t going to cut it. By the way, the scariest part of Stewart’s fumble. Watching Manning run down the field trying to both influence the return to prevent a touchdown and also not get hit by a horde of potential Jets blockers. Thank goodness the green shirts all chose to leave the veteran quarterback alone.B.W. Webb — The starting slot corner was beaten badly across the field by Terrelle Pryor on a 12-yard touchdown pass. I don’t want to overreact to one play, but that wasn’t good at all.Kwillies to ...Hunter Sharp — Why is Sharp down here after his terrific night returning punts? Well, because as good as he was returning those punts he was equally as bad as a wide receiver. He knew it, too. “It’s honestly hard for me even to be happy about the touchdown because I have high expectations for myself,” Sharp said after the game. “Honestly, I just have to bounce back and keep working.”Sharp had no receptions on three targets. He dropped two third-down passes from Manning that woulda-coulda-shoulda resulted in first downs. With the Giants at the Jets 16-yard line after Armstrong forced a fumble, Sharp and Manning appeared to miscommunicate on a throw to the end zone. Sharp broke to the middle, while Manning threw to the corner. Let’s not put Sharp on the 53-man roster just yet.10 reasons to be excited about the 2018 New York Giants A new football season is almost upon us. The New York Giants are halfway through the 2018 preseason. What have the Giants shown us, coming off a 3-13 season Womens Ereck Flowers Jersey , that should have you excited about the upcoming year? Here are 10 things worth being fired up about as a Giants fan.The newness of it all. You know what a new car smells like? Or what a remodeled room smells like with new paint, new furniture, new carpet? That is your 2018 Giants. New GM. New coach. New schemes on both sides of the ball. New priorities from the front office. New players, including a shiny 2018 Barkley Model running back. New, new, new. And exciting!Odell Beckham is healthy. I know you haven’t see him in a preseason game, and maybe you won’t. Beckham, though, has shown plenty this summer to indicate he is healthy and as good as ever, maybe better. He’s happy, too, despite the lingering contract question. Yeah, Beckham at his best is worth getting excited about.Saquon Barkley. If he is as good advertised, and all indications seem to show that is the case, the Giants haven’t had a guy like this since Tiki Barber. Shoot, maybe not even a back this versatile since Frank Gifford. That’s pretty darn good company, and what Barkley can do for Beckham, Eli Manning and the Giants is worth being excited about.Ereck Flowers isn’t the left tackle. Yeah, yeah that is muted by him still being the right tackle. I look at it this way. Nate Solder is a better left tackle than Flowers. Then Womens Jon Halapio Jersey , Flowers is a better right tackle than either Bobby Hart of Chad Wheeler, who spent a lot of time at that spot last season. Upgrades at both tackle spots? Yeah, Manning will be excited about that.James Bettcher’s defensive scheme. Who doesn’t love aggressive defenses? Defenses that blitz a lot? Defenses that are creative? Defenses that try to take the fight to the opposing offenses rather than being reactive? That’s what you’re going to get from Bettcher, and it is worth getting excited about watching it unfold.Davis Webb and Kyle Lauletta. The two young quarterbacks have, in very different ways, each shown promise so far this summer. There are no guarantees, and let’s hope neither has to play a meaningful snap this season, but they’ve shown that there is a chance the Giants have their quarterback of the future on the current roster. This is a real offense. It will be absolutely, utterly stunning if the Giants don’t break their string of two seasons without scoring 30 points in a regular-season game. This is a multiple offense that uses lots of different formations and personnel packages instead of the same look over and over, that believes in taking some shots down the field, that has a plethora of weapons and a veteran quarterback who should be able to identify and exploit the mismatches. This is worth getting excited about. Will Hernandez. By all accounts, and by whatever visual evidence I have been able to collect. He has drawn comparisons to Chris Snee. By the time his rookie contract is up, Hernandez is probably going to be the best lineman the Giants have and the leader of that group.Third-round picks who can actually play? For the entirety of Jerry’s Reese’s reign as GM, the third round of the draft seemed like a black hole. No matter who they picked at what position it seemed to wind up being the wrong choice. Well, defensive lineman B.J. Hill and EDGE player Lorenzo Carter might change that. Hill has already worked his way into the starting lineup and Carter has shown flashes of becoming a potent pass rusher. The Philadelphia Eagles are the big dog. Every Giants fan, at least I think every Giants fan, HATES the Eagles. I don’t know if the underdog Giants knock the high-flying birds down a peg or two, but opportunity knocks. It will be exciting to see if the Giants can ground the Eagles.

The rookies reported Monday and the veterans will begin to report today. Along with football season comes predictions. With that being said, here are my five bold predictions for training camp. Carlton Davis will beat out Vernon Hargreaves for the outside corner job. I think that Davis has a chance to be a really good cornerback in this league. Of course, cornerback is one of the harder positions for rookies to learn, but I think he will be just fine. The Buccaneers have to adjust when it comes to Davis. Mike Smith must let him play his style which is press coverage. If they force him to play off coverage, like they have with other players in years past, we are going to see him struggle. I think that Hargreaves will ultimately be the team’s starting slot cornerback with Brent Grimes and Carlton Davis on the outside. 2. Vita Vea will be the starting defensive tackle opposite Gerald McCoy. Tampa Bay spent the 12th overall pick on Vita Vea and clearly have big plans for the former Husky. Vea certainly won’t be playing the whole game, and will probably have limited snaps through the first few weeks as he learns the NFL game, but he will be a part of the weekly game plan. Guys like Beau Allen, Mitch Unrein and William Gholston will ultimately challenge Vea for the starting job http://www.tampabaybuccaneersteamonline.com/kwon-alexander-jersey , but I predict he beats them out in camp. Tampa Bay is certainly hoping Vea can come in and contribute heavily from day one and improve what was the worst defensive line in football last season. 3. Chris Godwin will start on the outside opposite of Mike Evans. It should have happened last year, but better late than never, right? There have been reports from multiple media outlets that the Buccaneers are considering this option, but there will always be a competition. Nothing will be handed to the second year receiver. In all seriousness, I believe Godwin should be opposite of Mike Evans on the outside. If this scenario turned out to be true, DeSean Jackson would then be the team’s slot receiver which could create nightmare scenarios for opposing defenses. The goal is to get the best players possible on the fieldat all times, and this move would allow Tampa Bay to do just that.4. Ryan Fitzpatrick shows he’s ready for the challenge. This may not be the boldest prediction out there, but I’m confident in the 35 year old to be up for the challenge that lies ahead. Fitzpatrick is going to need to be at the top of his game if the Buccaneers want to get off on the right foot this season. Call me crazy, but I can’t see Fitzpatrick not finding a way to win at least one of the team’s first three games. Fitzpatrick knows what it takes to win in this league and I expect him to come out sharp in the pre-season. Fitz understands how the league works and it will be extremely hard to come back from an 0-3 record, so I believe he will show a greater sense of urgency this August then he has in year’s past. Hopefully for the Buccaneers sake, he can repeat his 2-1 performance last season. 5.The Buccaneers finally find a kicker! Chandler Catanzaro and Trevor Moore will battle it out in training camp to see who the starting kicker will be come week one. While I hope this is not a jinx, I just have some sort of feeling that the Buccaneers finally found something. By all accounts, both kickers were impressive during mini-camp and will look to carry that over into training camp. My bold prediction is that Catanzaro will not miss a field goal during the preseason games and be named the starting kicker. He will also have a career best kicking percentage this year and lift the kicking curse that has been over Tampa Bay for what seems like a lifetime.
