receiver and potential day 3 selection Hunter Renfrow of Clemson and see if he is a fit for the 49ers."Greetings Faithful! We are back with another scouting report! The final days leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft have arrived http://www.49erslockerroom.com/authentic-deion-sanders-jersey , and with it are countless amounts of rumors, mock drafts, and quotes from teams’ front offices and coaches. If your plate isn’t full enough, we even have plenty of quotes from players both active and retired on what their respective teams should do as far as selecting players.Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty ImagesToday, our focus an attention turns to the receiving position. The San Francisco 49ers are most likely going to take a receiver, perhaps even two before the conclusion of the draft. There is strong belief that the 49ers will select a receiver on day two of the NFL Draft. We have discussed and analyzed multiple receivers that the team can select on day two. Today, we are going to talk about a receiver the team can have on day three. His name is Hunter Renfrow. Just like Adam Humphries before him, Renfrow has the potential to be the next great Clemson slot receiver to find success at the pro level. Let’s learn about how the once walk-on turned two-time national champion can help the 49ers.Combine Results:40 Time: 4.59Bench Press: 7 RepsVertical Jump: 35.0”Broad Jump: 116.0”3 Cone Drill: 6.8020 Yard Shuttle: 4.1960 Yard Shuttle: 11.39Measurables:Height: 5’10”Weight: 184 lbs.Hands: 7 7/8”Arms: 29 1/8”Summary:From walk-on to national title clinching touchdown reception, Hunter Renfrow seems to have done it all in his four seasons for the Clemson Tigers. While names like Trevor Lawrence, Tee Higgins, and Travis Etienne receive the bulk of the national media attention on offense, Hunter Renfrow has slowly but surely put together a truly remarkable collegiate career. Renfrow is as reliable as they come at the receiver position with strong, reliable hands, rarely dropping a pass thrown in his direction. On multiple occasions Renfrow moved the chains for the Tigers on third down conversions, particularly in third and short situations. While Renfrow is not explosive or a burner, Renfrow does have quick feet and initial burst to create separation from defenders in zone and man to man coverage schemes. Has great bend, and is one of the best low-ball receivers in the nation. Due to his lack of size, there is a limit to his catch radius and window the quarterback has available to him. However, on multiple occasions Renfrow has mad acrobatic receptions over the top.Renfrow does have a limited route-tree. Renfrow primarily lined up in the slot, which is his natural position, and where he will find the most success at the next level. Performs his best in the short and intermediate levels on the field. Was almost never asked to run deep in Clemson’s system, however when he did, he worked to get his hands on the football even in tight coverage as shown below.Vision and awareness with the ball in his possession are outstanding. Will shift and change direction, and often finds additional yards after the reception. Below, the entire South Carolina defense learns the hard way of trying to stop Renfrow after the reception.Overall, Renfrow has natural instincts when the ball is in his possession. His size and frame are going to be the biggest concern scouts and evaluators have. He is not at all a receiver who has size or plays physical. However, Renfrow plays to the level of his competition. Played his best football against Alabama in all national title games (2015, 2016, 2018) against perhaps the best defense in the nation. As far as clutch player goes, Renfrow might go down as one of the best in Clemson football history. He is also responsible for catching the biggest touchdown in Clemson history (See 2nd video below). His size and frame are a concern. However, Renfrow is a receiver who catches everything throw his way, who can shift and change direction to evade defenders, and in the right system can be dangerous at the first and second levels on the field. Renfrow can potentially be a late-round gem on the third day of the NFL Draft. Is Hunter Renfrow a fit for the 49ers?Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty ImagesKyle Shanahan is the type of coach and offensive mind that can take essentially any receiver and put them in a position to get open and succeed at all three levels on the field. The head coach alone makes Renfrow and almost any receiver in this draft a fit in an offense that desperately needs multiple playmakers. Yes, the team has Trent Taylor, however after back injuries limited him in 2018 it might not hurt the team to invest in depth at the slot position. While Renfrow is undersized http://www.49erslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-juszczyk-jersey , what you are getting is a receiver who doesn’t drop the football, can move the chains, and can rise to the occasion when the lights are shinning their brightest. If the team is looking to address a day three pick at the position whether they use a day two pick or not, Hunter Renfrow can be a steal and late round gem for the team that selects him. Hunter Renfrow’s value is somewhere between the fifth and sixth rounds of the NFL Draft. What are YOUR thoughts on Hunter Renfrow? If the 49ers are looking to invest a day three pick in a receiver is Renfrow a good fit for the team? Please share in the comments below! SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — After a four-turnover performance last week, San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard faces quite a platform in a try for redemption.Beathard will lead his team into Lambeau Field for Monday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers, a nationally televised matchup that represents the biggest stage on which Beathard will have started an NFL game. He’ll face the No. 2 pass defense in the league while being supported by a banged-up offensive line and an injury-depleted receiving corps. The 49ers also figure to be without top running back Matt Breida, doubtful because of a badly sprained ankle.Factor in a raucous and inhospitable Lambeau crowd, and the odds appear stacked against San Francisco (1-4), which lost at home last week to the previously winless Arizona Cardinals.Beathard prefers to view it as an opportunity.“It’s definitely something to look forward to,” Beathard said. “A Monday night game, in Lambeau. Historic stadium, playing a great team. It’s everything you ask for.”A second-year quarterback out of Iowa, Beathard has made two starts in place of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo, who tore the ACL in his left knee Sept. 23 against Kansas City and is out for the season.Beathard showed promise in his first start, a 29-27 road defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers, completing 23 of 37 passes for 298 yards, despite absorbing some big hits in and out of the pocket. But in last week’s 28-18 loss to the Cardinals, Beathard was intercepted twice and lost two fumbles, one of them returned for a touchdown. That offset his two touchdown passes and career-high 349 yards through the air.Overall in two starts, Beathard has completed 57 of 91 passes (62.6 percent) for 647 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy knows the challenge a young quarterback faces in trying to fill the shoes of an injured starter. Last season, Brett Hundley endured a turbulent ride for the Packers replacing two-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers, who broke his collarbone.“I think the biggest thing with a backup quarterback and especially when he’s young — going through it last year — is his ability to keep the offense playingto the full menu of the game plan,” McCarthy said. “You look at their production and you have to say C.J. definitely does that. That’s a compliment to him but also a compliment to their coaching staff for having the young man ready.”San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan wants Beathard to show better pocket awareness, sensing where the pass rush is coming from and protecting the ball. Both of Beathard’s fumbles Sunday came on strip-sacks, and Green Bay (2-2-1) enters this weekend ranked fifth in the NFL with 16 sacks. But Beathard could benefit from better health among his offensive teammates.Left tackle Joe Staley and center Weston Richburg have been playing through knee injuries. Both missed Thursday’s practice, as did Breida, and receivers Pierre Garcon (shoulder, knee) and Trent Taylor (back). Rookie receiver Dante Pettis, the team’s best punt returner, will miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury. There was a bit of encouraging news Thursday in that receiver Marquise Goodwin — the 49ers’ best downfield threat and who starts opposite Garcon — practiced without restrictions after being limited most of the season with quadriceps and hamstring issues.Beathard was asked about matching up against Rodgers. He spoke glowingly of Rodgers, who is hobbled by a knee injury but remains a master at dissecting opposing defenses.“He’s just a baller,” Beathard said. “He’s got the quickest release, the craziest arm I’ve ever seen. It just looks like he’s throwing a Nerf ball out there.”

Both worked with the second team and look to get back to the first-team reps on Tuesday,LaAdrian Waddle reportedly has a torn quadriceps muscle and is done for the year but Mitch Morse was on the sideline working agility drills on Monday.Cody Ford got his second straight day as starting right guard, but he wasn’t as solid as he was Sunday, He’s easily capable of displaying his power but still needs work on his feet.Ed Oliver causing problemsSure, it’s against Russell Bodine, but Ed Oliver has been causing problems in the Bills’ backfield since the pads went on. Oliver got too close to Josh Allen on Monday and the second-year quarterback banged his throwing hand into Oliver’s helmet.Oliver played his way into the starting lineup and it’s hard to see him leave it anytime soon unless it’s to give Bodine, Allen, and company a break from the relentless beatings.Passing game back on MondayAfter poor performances the last few days, Josh Allen was accurate and decisive on Monday. His connection with John Brown was back, and the pair found each other in multiple areas of the field. Allen found Andre Roberts in the back of the end zone for a 17-year touchdown after a scramble to buy time to end practice and his arm strength was on full display with the throw. We didn’t expect Allen’s development to be a straight line up, but it’s good to see it trending back that way after a couple down days.Odds and endsIke Boettger was the second-team center with Bodine taking first-team reps. With the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo will probably rest them until after the game as they work their way back.Devin Singletary continues to impress the media.Siran Neal received two-on-one work from head coach Sean McDermott and safeties coach Bobby Babich for 20 minutes before practice. Neal is taking over as the team’s Big Nickel safety.Duke Williams and David Sills V were “sprinkled in” with the second-team offense according to Sal Capaccio and Williams was better on Monday, says The Athletic. Still, they both have a long way to go to crack the roster.Buffalo practiced the end-of-game multi-lateral play during Monday’s practice. What can Josh Allen do to secure the Buffalo Bills’ starting quarterback job? Josh Allen will be making his first start as a NFL quarterback when the Buffalo Bills take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3 exhibition action on Sunday afternoon. After solid outings with reserve offensive units in his first two preseason games, Allen’s start this weekend represents the best opportunity a Bills quarterback has had so far this summer to stake his claim for the starting job.Bills fans have spent this week wondering aloud: What does Allen need to do on Sunday to win the Week 1 starting gig? What if the best answer to that question is “nothing”?Scenario 1: “The Plan” has involved starting Allen all alongSean McDermott has the final say in whether or not the Bills end up throwing Allen into the proverbial fire and starting him straight away as he begins his NFL career. McDermott is perhaps singularly known for being a process-oriented individual; if he has a plan in place, he has come across as a coach that will stick to it.McDermott has made it clear that this preseason start against Cincinnati was premeditated, and a way for the coaches to see how Allen handles the week-long process of preparing for a pro opponent as the starter. This could be a dress rehearsal for the eventuality of him becoming the starter, or it could be a final exam, of sorts, before he’s named the Week 1 starter. It would not be surprising in the least if McDermott, as well as general manager Brandon Beane, has planned to start Allen from the moment they drafted him, despite the pre-draft rhetoric that Allen was not ready for that level of responsibility, and despite the measured pace with which they’ve scooted him up the depth chart this spring and summer. There is no better teacher than experience, and while experience can be earned just by being on a NFL team, on-field experience is far more valuable. If the Bills have seen enough to plan on starting Allen in Week 1, then all Allen needs to do against Cincinnati Jeremy Kerley Jersey , in essence, is to maintain the level of play he’s shown this preseason, without falling flat on his face.Scenario 2: “The Plan” has involved sitting Allen all alongIt also would not be surprising in the least if the McDermott and Beane have planned to sit Allen from the moment they drafted him. The Bills have a challenging slate of defenses to play against early in the regular season, and in order to keep the rookie’s confidence up and his trajectory on track, it may never have entered their mind to consider starting him until he’s experienced a few weeks of real-game preparation.More importantly, for as well as Allen has played this preseason - both in terms of in-game performance, as well as technical improvements made during practices - there are still some glaring weaknesses and inconsistencies with his overall game that opponents will key on if he’s in the lineup. If the Bills are using this preseason start as a baby step in their prep-Allen strategy, and will be rolling with either Nathan Peterman or AJ McCarron in Week 1, then Allen’s charge from Scenario 1 won’t be much different here: he’ll need to maintain (but ideally exceed) the level of play he’s shown this preseason, without exhibiting the type of regression that would torpedo his confidence right before his scheduled stretch of dates with the bench.Scenario 3: “The Competition” has been legitimate all alongThis is where the conversation starts to become more interesting, even though it fundamentally relies on the idea that McDermott and Beane somehow won’t stick with their pre-determined plan of developing Allen, which could be considered a stretch of the imagination.Let’s assume, though, that the McCarron-Peterman-Allen rotation has been a legitimate, agenda-free competition for the Week 1 starting job from the moment those three first met with Buffalo’s coaches as a group. In that scenario, Allen has a leg up, for two primary reasons: he is easily the most talented quarterback of the trio Womens Vontae Davis Jersey , and he has been the only member of the trio to consistently rise up the depth chart, whereas Peterman and Allen have primarily bobbed up and down it.If this is really a final exam for Allen - his last major test from possibly-hesitant coaches facing the reality of starting him straight away - then Allen’s to-do list expands, though perhaps not by much. I would argue that, in this vacuum, Allen needs to do two things to win the starting job:Improve on his performance against Cleveland last weekOutplay Peterman by a significant marginDeadspin wisecracks aside, Peterman has distinct advantages over Allen at the moment: he has been far more consistent this summer, and especially in preseason action; and McDermott has a lot more familiarity with him, considering that both McCarron and Allen are new to the franchise as of this spring. Adding in the fact that McCarron has missed a week-plus of throwing, and it seems obvious that if this isn’t Allen’s job to lose, it’s Peterman’s. Given how well Peterman has played so far this preseason - he has been statistically better than Allen - it might take a large step forward from Allen, and a large step backwards from Peterman, for McDermott to feel comfortable pulling the trigger. Each of the Bills’ first two preseason games have told us a lot about the Bills’ quarterback situation, both at a micro and a macro level. We’re now just a few days away from Allen’s biggest test to date. Whether you believe the Bills are in Scenario 1, Scenario 2, or Scenario 3 with their rookie quarterback, there’s no denying that Allen has a significant opportunity to make one last move before whichever Week 1 fate awaits him arrives.

The latest FanPulse numbers show that all four teams’

fanbases are more confident than they were in early January."A lot has happened since the last time all four teams in the AFC East played on the same weekend. The division champion New England Patriots went on to win their sixth Super Bowl before losing considerable talent in the offseason. The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins Brandon Bolden Jersey , meanwhile, parted ways with their head coaches and are now at different stages of a rebuilding process. The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, were among the big spenders in free agency. All in all, a lot has been going on since the final regular season weekend of the 2018 season. Those developments now all resulted in fanbases across the division feeling substantially more confident in each team’s direction than they did back in December of last year. A look at the latest FanPulse numbers — sign up here if you also want to participate in future surveys — reflects just that:As can be seen, the majority of every AFC East fanbase is at least somewhat confident in the direction its clubs are headed towards with notable spikes over the last three months. Patriots fans, meanwhile, are only slightly more confident than they were three back in December — despite another Lombardi Trophy coming to Gillette Stadium: the team did lose some of its star players over the last month either to free agency or retirement.Seeing the numbers for the other three clubs grow that rapidly is also not that big of a surprise considering that the Bills, Jets and Dolphins all have young talent either at key positions on the field or at the head coaching spot. To find out more about how fans from across the division see their respective teams, Pats Pulpit spoke to the managing editors of its sister sites for more input and analysis of the numbers.“Bills fans see that Buffalo improved their biggest flaws from 2018 in free agency by adding a bunch of offensive linemen and a pair of wide receivers,” said Matt Warren, managing editor at Buffalo Rumblings. “They also plugged holes at cornerback as well as special teams. In a league where a lot of fans want to see action but don’t always get it in free agency, the Bills led the league in signings (but not in cash).”“Even if they don’t end up panning out, the number of players Buffalo added this offseason is pretty uncommon in the NFL,” Matt continued. Free agency also is a big part of the reason why Jets fans saw a 33% increase in fan confidence since the last FanPulse survey asking this particular question was sent out three months back — as is the development of 2018 first-round quarterback Sam Darnold, as Gang Green Nation’s John Butchko pointed out.“Much of the excitement in the Jets fan base revolves around Sam Darnold. The rookie finished and up and down rookie season with a strong December. Fans are hoping to see a leap in year two,” John told Pats Pulpit before also mentioning free agency. “The Jets were among the most active teams in free agency, upgrading at running back with Le’Veon Bell, linebacker with C.J. ATLANTA (AP) — If you’re on the lookout for Super Bowl tickets, be prepared to fork over several thousand dollars. But if you make it through the gates http://www.patriotslockerroom.com/authentic-jonathan-jones-jersey , here’s a bit of good news for your wallet.A hot dog can be had for a couple of bucks. A slice of pizza will set you back a mere $3.Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which made waves in the sports industry by becoming the first facility to introduce so-called “fan first” pricing at its concession stands, is keeping those budget items on the menu for the biggest event in its short history — Sunday’s NFL title game between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.“It’s what you would want if you went with your family to a sporting event,” said Scott Jenkins, the stadium’s general manager. “It’s good food, and it’s at a fair price.”So, if your stomach is growling but your bank account is light, consider a pretzel or popcorn. Like the hot dog, each of those stadium staples is just $2. For that same price, you can wash it all down with a bottle of water or a soft drink that comes with free refills. If you’re in the mood for something stronger, a domestic beer checks in at $5.“When I’ve been around, scouting out big events, the prices are high and they go higher,” Jenkins said. “We made it clear when we bid that our prices were fan first, and we’re keeping them for the Super Bowl.”The $1.5 billion stadium, which opened less than two years ago and is best known for a complex retractable roof that opens and closes like a camera lens, is also looking to make a Super splash with some of its higher-priced food items.Especially those that show off the South’s culinary heritage.A hefty order of chicken and waffles, accompanied by sorghum butter, creamy cole slaw and sweet pickles Rex Burkhead Jersey , checks in at $12. But the item likely to make the biggest splash with fans is the “C.O.S.” — the Closed On Sunday chicken sandwich. That is renowned chef Kevin Gillespie’s take on an Atlanta staple, the Chick-fil-A sandwich. While the $14 price tag might sound a bit hefty compared to some of those aforementioned budget items — and certainly to a Chick-fil-A offering — it’ll probably seem worth it when you’ve finished off a fried chicken breast (sorry, the seasoning is a closely guarded secret) lathered in spicy pickled mayonnaise and served between two honey butter buns.“We’ve taken our record-setting day, the most we’ve ever sold, and we’ve doubled that,” said Gillespie, who also runs two of metro Atlanta most acclaimed restaurants. “We’ll see if we run out again on Super Bowl Sunday.”There’s actually a Chick-fil-A stand within Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but as everyone in this part of the country certainly knows: the fast-food restaurant is closed on Sundays (hence the name of Gillespie’s creation).Yep, even on Super Bowl Sunday. That spot will be occupied by another vendor, so Gillespie has the big game’s chicken sandwich spotlight all to himself.“We feel like a lot of folks have probably read about this stuff, so we want them to have a chance to taste it,” he said. “We decided to stick with the same menu, stick with the exact same pricing, don’t turn it up just because it’s the Super Bowl. We’re pretty pumped about it. We think we’re going to have a pretty busy day on Sunday.”The Mercedes-Benz cooks also came up with several items to honor the Super Bowl teams. The “L.A. Chicharron Dog” is an homage to the team from La La Land — a hot dog covered with pinto beans, jalapenos, garlic, roasted poblano pepper strips, cotija cheese, tajin-seasoned chicharrones (essentially Womens Donald Trump Jersey , fried pork rinds) and cilantro. Not exactly for the faint of heart (or anyone with heart issues).Speaking of an angioplasty waiting to happen, the offering for the AFC champion Patriots is the “N.E. Beantown Frank,” which is covered with northern beans, maple syrup, Nueske’s bacon and green onions.“This is us playing in the kitchen,” said Matt Cooper, the executive chef at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. “Once we saw the teams that were playing in the Super Bowl, all us chefs got together and came up with some ideas for New England and LA.”His favorite?“I’m going to lean toward LA,” Cooper said. “That’s where I’m originally from.”On the drink side, there’s the PaLomA (yes, the “L” and the “A” are capitalized for obvious reasons), a libation comprised of tequila, ruby red grapefruit, soda water and a blood orange wedge. Patriot fans might prefer to opt for the New Englander — vodka, cranberry and soda water adorned with a lime wedge.Much like the teams that will be looking to claim a title on the field, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is eager to grab a prize of its own in the kitchen. The champion of Super Bowl stadium food.“We have a lot of eyes on us,” Cooper said. “It’s going to be a fun one.”

Tomorrow night the Jets and the Giants will play in their annual August contest. Since Thursday is a game day we will do the weekly podcast mailbag on Wednesday this week. Thanks as always to those of your who sent in questions. Resubmit next week if your question went unaired, and you really want it answered.Today we look at how well the Jets defense is built to stop the offense of the New England Patriots, whether the flaws on the team are likely to make the Jets 7-9 or worse, how concerned fans should be about the injury status of Marcus Maye, whether Darryl Roberts will be replaced in the starting lineup by the time Week 1 arrives, and how much of an impact Deontay Burnett will have on the offense in 2019.Thank you as always for tuning in to the show. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — With each victory, the Houston Texans increasingly established themselves as a team to beat in the AFC.Their nine-game winning streak set a franchise record and also raised expectations by the week. So, perhaps their 24-21 loss to Indianapolis last Sunday could, in some way, alleviate some building tension down the stretch.Right, Deshaun Watson?“You only put pressure on yourself,” Watson said. “For us, we don’t really put pressure on ourselves. We don’t really focus on that. Of course, we didn’t want to lose. We always want to win and try to continue to stack those Kelechi Osemele Jerseys 2019 , but it just kind of goes that way sometimes. It’s the National Football League.“We just try to focus on the next opponent, the next game and try to get back in the win column.”Watson and the Texans (9-4) will get their chance to do that Saturday when they take on Sam Darnold and the struggling New York Jets (4-9).Houston could clinch the AFC South title with a win and then a loss or tie by both Indianapolis and Tennessee on Sunday, or with a tie and losses by both the Colts and Titans. The Texans could also seal a playoff berth with a combination of other scenarios involving several other teams.Either way, they know they can set themselves up nicely with a victory at MetLife Stadium.“With three games left throughout the regular season, I think you home in and focus in,” cornerback Johnathan Joseph said, “especially on one game at a time, 12 quarters of football, however it has to be.”Meanwhile, the Jets are just focused on the finish line — and perhaps the end of coach Todd Bowles’ tenure.New York snapped a six-game skid last Sunday with a 27-23 win at Buffalo, but it would appear Bowles will not be back next season after four years without a trip to the playoffs. General manager Mike Maccagnan is not a certainty to return, either, with some misses in the draft and free agency during his tenure.“It’s the same thing every week: We want to win every game, regardless of whether we’re going to the playoffs or not,” Bowles said. “We want to get every game and get better as a team. That’s all we’re trying to accomplish.”Here are some things to know about the Texans-Jets matchup:WET WEATHERIt’s expected to rain for much of the day White Jamison Crowder Jerseys , with showers at kickoff. That will be something different for the Texans, whose home stadium — NRG Stadium — features a retractable roof.“You’ve just got to go out there and try to grip the ball as best you can,” said Watson, playing at MetLife for the first time. “You focus on your footwork a little bit more, be cautious with that and understand that the receivers might — depending on the turf or the grass, wherever we’re playing — (focus on) their footwork. … You’ve got to just go play ball.”SAM’S CLUBDarnold returned from a strained foot that sidelined him for three games and went 24 of 30 passing (80.0 percent) in the win against the Bills. It marked the fifth time in team history a player had a completion percentage of 80 or better and the first since Chad Pennington did it twice in 2007.He also showed off some cool nerves by leading his first fourth-quarter comeback.“I think every experience for him, he’s so into it,” offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates said. “He doesn’t get real high, doesn’t get real low, he just takes every moment as a learning moment, both good and bad. So, I think it’s just another moment that he’s going to take for the rest of his career, for the rest of his life and use it as a teaching experience.”MISSING WEAPONSDarnold will be without two key playmakers on offense with top running back Isaiah Crowell (toe) and wide receiver Quincy Enunwa (ankle) both ruled out with injuries.Elijah McGuire and rookie Trenton Cannon will see increased opportunities in the backfield, while Rishard Matthews and Deontay Burnett could be called on to replace Enunwa.WATT’S UPHouston’s J.J. Watt has bounced back this year to have another strong season after playing just eight games over the previous two years because of a back surgery and a broken leg.The defensive end leads the team with 12 1/2 sacks, 22 quarterback hits Jamison Crowder Jerseys 2019 , 15 tackles for losses and a career-high five forced fumbles. His 88 1/2 career sacks are the second most through a player’s first 101 games, trailing only the 106 that Reggie White had.“The last two years were extremely difficult,” he said. “But, to be here, to be playing meaningful football in December, playing in big games in winter time and me being out there on the field participating in those games, is awesome. This is just, it feels good to be back in that situation, to be back on the field, to be getting the sacks, to be playing good football, to be with the guys.”TAKING CARE OF THE BALLThe Texans did not turn the ball over last week, marking the sixth time this season that they’ve had zero turnovers in a game. It’s the second-best streak in a season in franchise history. A big reason: Watson has thrown just two interceptions in the last seven games after being picked off seven times in the first six games.

the NFL season featured plenty of excitement and upsets. The Bucs were the league’s biggest surprise of the week after beating the Saints 48-40 in New Orleans. Here’s a rundown of last week’s picks as well as what’s in store for this week:Biggest surprise pick of Week 1: Jon Marchant showed off his usual genius and was the only member of the crew to pick the Chiefs over the Chargers. Nailed it: Bucs Nation went 4-0 last week when everyone choose the same team to win. This week’s unanimous picks: The Texans Jameis Winston Jersey , Saints, Chargers, 49ers, and Rams were picked by all staff members to win. PDTShareTweetShareShareCandlestick Park ranks sixth on memorable NFL stadium farewellsI can’t think of a better way to depart from Candlestick Park than the now-legendary Pick at the ‘Stick. Anyone remember how frustrated fans were when NaVorro Bowman botched the onside kick retrieval, only to come up with a bobbled pass a few plays later? Just a perfect play, a perfect ticket to the playoffs, and a perfect send-off to the San Francisco 49ers’ longtime home. The retirement of Bowman, among other things, inspired NFL.com writer Jeremy Bergman to rank stadium farewells and he put the nutso circus sixth on the list:I still remember the game thread when I was just a Niners Nation reader and how NaVorro Bowman was blasted for about 200 comments. So what is in front of this? Well, there’s that epic departure from Cleveland Stadium; where fans tried to rip the benches out to redecorate their homes and told the Cleveland Browns exactly what they thought. Then there’s the Veteran Stadium departure for the Philadelphia Eagles, where the same pick-six heroics of Bowman had the opposite effect since the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers took one to the house and went to the Super Bowl. At No. 1 is the farewell to Foxboro Stadium which had the snowy AFC Divisional round and the much-maligned Tuck Rule rising from the filth of that officiating to help the New England Patriots. When you think of the postseason games that were ahead of the 49ers’ epic play, it’s understandable that the Pick at the ‘Stick isn’t on the list. Putting it at sixth seems a bit high though. Maybe somewhere at No. 4 or No. 3 given the moment and buildup. If you were speaking objectively (hard, but let’s give it a shot), where would you put the Pick at the ‘Stick? Kyle Shanahan was watching as Jimmy Garoppolo scrambled toward the 49ers sideline and, rather than safely duck out of bounds, stepped back to his right and took a wicked shot from Steven Nelson. At first, the San Francisco coach thought his quarterback had sustained a concussion.Turns out it may have been a season-ending knee injury.Garoppolo’s left knee buckled just before the Chiefs‘ cornerback delivered a shoulder-to-shoulder blow, and that was the reason he went down so hard. Garoppolo was on the turf for a couple of minutes before he was helped to his feet and eventually carted off late in a 38-27 loss to Kansas City.“We fear an ACL,” Shanahan said afterward. “We’ll find out more tomorrow.”That’s bad news for the banged-up 49ers (1-2), who already lost top running back Jerick McKinnon to a season-ending knee injury and only have two other quarterbacks on the roster.C.J. Beathard took over for Garoppolo with just over five minutes left Sunday, and he appeared to throw a touchdown pass to George Kittle before offensive pass interference wiped it out. San Francisco had to kick a field goal and that wound up being the final margin. Now, Beathard is in line to start next week when the 49ers play the Chargers in Los Angeles, and Nick Mullens could get a call-up from the practice squad to serve as the backup.“Any time you lose your starting quarterback, that’s a big deal. It was when we lost our starting running back Womens C. J. Beathard Jersey , too,” Shanahan said. “Feel for him personally. I know how disappointed he is.”Beathard said he spoke to Garoppolo briefly in the trainer’s room, and what little of their exchange he was willing to repeat made it quite clear the 49ers’ franchise quarterback 鈥?who signed a five-year, $137.5 million extension in February 鈥?expects his season to be over.“I told him I’ll be praying for him and I love him and he just told me to lead these guys,” Beathard said. “I’ve never been in that situation with something possibly that serious. I can only imagine how tough it is for him this early in the season.”It’s also a big blow for the 49ers, who thought they had the pieces to contend for a playoff spot his season. Now, they’ve lost two of their most important offensive pieces, to say nothing of a series of injuries on defense Sunday that left them with a piecemeal backfield.Top cornerback Richard Sherman went down with a calf injury, while backup Tarvarius Moore left with a wrist injury. Strong safety Jaquiski Tartt was inactive with a shoulder injury and free safety Adrian Colbert hurt his ankle, forcing a bunch of backups to play significant snaps.Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wound up handling them for 314 yards passing and three TDs.“They do a lot of things. They use their personnel well. They have a lot of guys that are interchangeable and have a lot of tools,” said backup safety Antone Exum Jr. “It’s a team you have to stay disciplined on and play your assignment.”Still, the 49ers leaned on running backs Alfred Morris and Matt Breida and the strong arm of their quarterback to mount a comeback. And after Garoppolo’s TD toss to Marquis Goodwin in the third quarter made it 35-24, there was a sense of optimism on the San Francisco sideline. The 49ers were still trailing 38-24 when Garoppolo led them inside the Kansas City 5 in the final minutes. The Chiefs answered with sacks by Allen Bailey and Justin Houston on consecutive plays, then flushed Garoppolo from the pocket on third-and-goal from the 20-yard line. That’s when the San Francisco quarterback headed for the sideline, decided to stay in play rather step out of bounds, and ultimately put the rest of the 49ers’ season in question.“Just like we always do, you show up to work tomorrow,” Shanahan said. “We’ll all be men about it. We’ll grade the tape hard and see what we did wrong. And when we show up Wednesday it’s time to go.“It’s part of the NFL season. It’s what you have to do,” he added. “We all feel for Jimmy. There’s no doubt about it. We dealt with this with our running back, too. It’s part of the NFL. We’re not the first team this has happened to.”___

in New York Infant Darryl Johnson Jersey , but they’ve shown they are right at home in New Jersey over the last two weeks.Buffalo opened the season by coming back from 16 points down to beat the Jets 17-16 and they returned to MetLife Stadium to beat up on the Giants this weekend. The Bills scored three times in the first half and added a Frank Gore touchdown in the fourth quarter to move to 2-0 with a 28-14 win over the Giants. The final score came two plays after it appeared the Giants would hold the Bills to a field goal with just over six minutes to play. First-round pick Dexter Lawrence was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, though, and the Bills made the most of their reprieve.Josh Allen and Devin Singletary also ran for touchdowns in the game, although Singletary limped off late in the fourth quarter after he appeared to pull a muscle during a run. The rookie showed well for the second straight game by running for 57 yards on six carries Darryl Johnson Jersey Draft , so they’ll be hoping for good news about the running back’s outlook for Week Three and beyond. The Giants opened the game in impressive fashion by running five times for 75 yards and a touchdown. There was a lot less success the rest of the way and Eli Manning‘s two interceptions won’t do much to quiet those who think there’s little reason to stick with the veteran now that Daniel Jones is in town.Saquon Barkley had 21 touches for 135 yards and a score, which is a step in the right direction after the Giants didn’t use him enough last weekend. Regardless of how often Barkley gets the ball or who is playing quarterback, the Giants are also in need of a lot of help on defense in what’s been a rough 2019 season thus far. First-round picks who don’t get their fifth-year options picked up respond in different ways.Washington wide receiver Josh Doctson said this week that he’s taking no extra motivation from the team’s decision to pass on the option. Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson is taking the opposite view.Lawson said this week that he is using the Bills’ call on 2020 as fuel for his preparations for the year to come.“No, I ain’t concerned. It’s motivation. I know what time it is. It’s do or die Darryl Johnson NFL Jersey ,” Lawson said, via the . “I’ve been through a situation like this before. It’s just a small step. Me, I’m just gonna go out there and ball this year and see where everything falls.”Lawson has produced 76 tackles, 10 sacks and four forced fumbles while missing 13 games over his first three seasons. More production and less time on the sideline would be good places to start avoiding the death side of his predicament.

The Giants’ decision to pass on Josh Allen with the No. 6

pick in the draft in order to select quarterback Daniel Jones has been well documented over the past few weeks and it figures to come up during the regular season if the team struggles to generate pass rush off the edge. They tried to address that need in the third round by drafting Oshane Ximines and defensive coordinator James Bettcher is banking on Markus Golden rediscovering his pre-knee injury form Authentic George Asafo-Adjei Jersey , but the team’s pass rush success will likely have a lot to do with how well Lorenzo Carter does in his second season.Carter was a third-round pick last year and recorded four sacks while playing a rotational role for the team. Now he’ll take on a bigger role and outside linebackers coach Mike Dawson said the team is looking for a “big jump” in terms of production as well.“He’s got the tools where he’s strong enough, he’s got the athletic ability,” Dawson said George Asafo-Adjei Jersey Boys , via NJ.com. “Really kind of getting to know this language. He was in kind of a 3-4 system in college, but some of the terms are different. It may be the same term, just named something different Infant George Asafo-Adjei Jersey , and having to process that in your head. Now when you don’t have to think about that, it’s just natural where you just kind of react, I think that helps you play a little bit better.”The Giants have little choice but to be confident that Carter can take a leap forward in 2019. If he doesn’t George Asafo-Adjei Jersey Draft , things may be tough on defense this fall. The New York Giants worked out so many players on Monday that they don’t all fit in a single tweet. Here is the list:Running back Akeem Hunt should be familiar to Giants fans. He was with the team in the 2015 preseason, having signed as an undrafted free agent. Hunt spent two seasons with the Houston Texans and played last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.Quarterback Connor Cook played in one regular-season game for the Oakland Raiders in 2016 after they drafted him in the fourth round. He holds the distinction of being the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era to make his first — and until now only — career start in a playoff game. Wide receiver Marcus Easley hasn’t played in the NFL since 2015.Dan Skipper is a 6-foot-9, 317-pound offensive tackle who played in one game for the Detroit Lions last season. Tackle Roubbens Joseph spent 2017 on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. So George Asafo-Adjei NFL Jersey , Giants fans, not a lot to get excited about here. About what you might expect for a midseason free agent workout.

That message resonated with cornerback Trumaine Johnson.Johnson was a big-ticket free agent acquisition last year, but struggled on the field, dealt with injury and found himself benched for the final game of the year after being late for practice.
Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick attended a “tailgate”

party at a nursing home in suburban Loveland before Cincinnati’s 34-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens. A 95-year-old woman stole the show and made for a popular video.Irma Shafer got up and danced away White Donald Trump Jerseys , making Kirkpatrick smile as he danced along. The moment was captured by a local television crew and shared on social media. Many fans shared it a few hours later as the Bengals played their way to their first 2-0 start since 2015. Kirkpatrick was surprised it got so much reaction.“I didn’t even know how big it was going to get,” Kirkpatrick said. “When they sent it out — however it got out — my phone just started going crazy.”Kirkpatrick’s girlfriend is a close friend of one of the nursing home administrators, and they came up with the idea for the party. Kirkpatrick stopped in after the team’s morning meeting and was inspired by Shafer’s reaction.“She was dancing the whole time I was in there,” Kirkpatrick said. “Just to see the energy she had — that was such an amazing thing. I want to be that one day. I want to still be able to move and enjoy music the way she did.”REPLACING THE ONSIDE KICKFootball safety surveys have shown the onside kick to be one of the most dangerous plays. But it also can provide a last-ditch chance for a team to make a comeback, and the trickery of it is one of the more intriguing elements. The Alliance of American Football, which kicks off its spring league the week after the Super Bowl in February, has an interesting replacement for the onside kick.“We’ve replaced the onside kick with an onside conversion attempt,” says Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Polian, co-founder of the eight-team Alliance. “When teams are behind by 17 points or more or within five minutes remaining in the second half, after a touchdown or field goal, the trailing team can opt to receive the ball on their 28-yard line. They can attempt to convert a fourth-and-12. If they are successful and gain a first down, they keep the ball and can continue on. If they fail, the other team takes possession of the ball where it is spotted following the failed conversion attempt.”The league also has only a 2-point conversion attempt after touchdowns and will eliminate the PAT kick.“That way Donald Trump Jerseys 2019 , we eliminate block attempts that are not the safest plays in football,” Polian explains.WHAT’S IN A NAME?Denver Broncos tight end Jake Butt’s family learned long ago to have fun with their last name. His father, Rob, wore a Broncos jersey with the name “Head Butt” stitched across the back in Denver when his son made his NFL debut with two catches for 29 yards in the Broncos’ win over Seattle.Jake Butt, who sat out his rookie season after tearing up his right knee in his final game for Michigan, remembers asking his dad if he could change his name when he was younger.“Shoot, I remember in kindergarten I would get terrorized, and that’s like when you take everything personally,” Butt says. “I hated the first-day-of-class roll call, because they’d always call out ‘Butt.’ I’d just get beet red and I’d come home to my dad and tell him that I wanted to change my last name.“He’d laugh and tell me, ‘You’re going to have fun with this someday.’ So, here we are. We’re having a lot of fun with it.”Jake Butt didn’t have to wait for adulthood for the teasing to stop.“I was getting bigger than everybody, so I could just laugh at them White Stephen Gostkowski Jerseys , probably like seventh, eighth grade,” he said.He now stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 250 pounds, but would get heckled for his last name on the road in the Big Ten, too.“Yeah, some Iowa fans got creative, like, ‘Haha. Your last name’s Butt.’ I’m like, ‘Man, that’s not that creative. You’ve got to do better than that,” Butt said. “Yeah, even away fans, they kind of have fun with it.”LEWIS ON LUKEBengals coach Marvin Lewis discovered at an early age that Luke Kuechly was a phenomenal athlete while watching him play summer lacrosse with his son Stephen Gostkowski Jerseys 2019 , Marcus, growing up in Ohio. And he has followed Kuechly’s football career closely over the years at Boston College and now with the Carolina Panthers.Lewis said before the 2012 NFL draft, he told Bengals owner Mike Brown that Kuechly was “the best collegiate linebacker I think I’ve ever seen.” However, Kuechly never returned to his native Ohio because the Panthers took him 11th overall. The Bengals had the No. 17 pick.“We’re trying to clone guys like Luke Kuechly here,” said Lewis, whose Bengals visit Kuechly and the Panthers on Sunday.Kuechly played three years of lacrosse in high school, along with playing on travel teams. He said he didn’t score many goals because — naturally — he played defense.“I would get bored during the offseason if I wasn’t doing something,” said Kuechly, a four-time All-Pro. “I grew up playing basketball, football and lacrosse.”BAYOU DIETLouisiana native and Dolphins defensive tackle Davon Godchaux hosts his teammates on the defensive line for an evening of Cajun cuisine on occasion, serving them crawfish and barbecue. He spares them one of his other favorite foods — raccoon.“Tastes just like chicken,” Godchaux said. “They’d probably be grossed out by that. But I’m from the Bayou. So that’s what we eat.”Godchaux, who’s 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds White Matthew Slater Jerseys , says his diet is healthy as well as tasty. His foundation, Chauxdown, supports the battle against obesity.“Growing up as a child, you always want to eat right to get to this level,” Godchaux said. The Patriots will play without tight end Rob Gronkowski for the second straight week.Gronkowski was listed as questionable due to ankle and back injuries on Friday and a report on Saturday indicated he would sit out against the Titans. That report was cast in some doubt when Gronkowski traveled with the team to Nashville, but the list of inactives that the Patriots released on Sunday morning includes Gronkowski. In addition to sitting out against the Packers last Sunday, Gronkowski also missed Week Seven.“It鈥檚 been more challenging, just little obstacles in the way. It鈥檚 life. You have to take them on. That鈥檚 what I鈥檓 doing,鈥?Gronkowski said on Friday. 鈥淛ust got to get back to where I need to be and just be myself when I get back, and it will all be good.”The Patriots will have a bye next week and will kick off the final six weeks of the regular season with a visit to the Jets in Week 12.

O. J. Howard Jersey

Writer vs writer as we discuss what the team should do in the backfield"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been busy stacking their offensive backfield for the 2019 season. Signing Andre Ellington and re-signing Peyton Barber have the group looking solid for the upcoming campaign O. J. Howard Jersey , but is it good enough?Recent rumors have tied the Bucs to some available free-agents like Isaiah Crowell while earlier in the off-season they were speculated to be good fits for big names like Le’Veon Bell and Kareem Hunt who both landed elsewhere.Of course, there’s always the draft route where the team has had some recent swings and misses with guys like Jeremy McNichols and Ronald Jones.Jones still has a shot at proving his second-round selection was warranted and is among the reasons some surrounding the Bucs have given pause to the idea of the team drafting one this April. So, should they or shouldn’t the Tampa Bay Buccaneers draft a running back in 2019? David Harrison and James Yarcho weigh in.DAVID HARRISONYes, the Buccaneers should absolutely draft a running back in the 2019 NFL Draft. And there are multiple reasons why. First, we have to look at what the Bucs have.Topping the off-season depth chart is Peyton Barber. A guy I’m a huge fan of and have been since he was at Auburn. When Tampa Bay signed him as an undrafted free-agent I was super excited, and predicted back then he’d become a starter in the NFL.Now, here he is. And I couldn’t be happier to see him wearing a Bucs uniform in 2019. Then, they have Ronald Jones. As mentioned above, he’s a second-round pick from one year ago and hasn’t really done much. He didn’t get on the field much at all in 2018 and when he did it didn’t leave people yearning for more Rojo. Andre Ellington is next, and he didn’t do any better than Rojo did in 2018 because he didn’t play at all. Ellington is a talented guy and has shown as much in his career, but he’s about as injury prone as a person can get. Simply put, his body doesn’t agree with his career choices. As much as I liked what Ellington brought to the table when healthy in Arizona, he simply didn’t do much of that, and it’s lead him to where he is now. I truly believe Ellington is more of an install coach and mentor to the younger backs than he is a contributor. Finally, there’s Shaun Wilson and Dare Ogunbowale. Two guys who have shown some flashes of being really good football players, but for whatever reason just haven’t been able to stick as consistent members of the active roster. Both guys are threats to make the final roster, but each has a bit of an uphill battle to win over if they’re going to do it. Those dual practices Bruce Arians has talked about are going to help guys like these the most.So this is what the Bucs have. Now, what don’t they have. They don’t have a thousand-yard rusher and they don’t have a guy who presents a legitimate threat out of the backfield. When you look at the final four teams from this past season, all four of them had a running back who netted more than 1,200-yards of offense during the regular season.Barber had just over 950-yards of offense and only 92-yards came in the passing game. Not having the versatility to run and catch is an automatic advantage to the opposing defense. This doesn’t mean the Bucs have to draft one guy who can do both however. Barber did have nearly 900-yards of rushing, and it’s safe to assume had the team been in more late games then he likely would have eclipsed 1,000.So, while Barber continues striving towards becoming a better receiver, it makes sense for the team to target a receiving back who is striving to become a better between the tackles type of runner.Pairing the two gives the team a combination which can be used to regain the advantage the team lost last year when putting Barber or Jacquizz Rodgers alone in the backfield.Arians’ offenses have shown a tendency to play with two backs, and while he’s watched - whether it be games, practices, or all the way back to training camp. That’s why they got Barber under contract for 2019. Plain and simple, Arians likes what he sees and that’s what he’s rolling with.Barber was an effective back when given the opportunity. However, Koetter had a propensity to sit him for with no rhyme or reason for long stretches in favor of Jacquizz Rodgers. No offense to Rodgers, but he was long past being an effective back and the offense would suffer with him in. Barber isn’t a marathon man and would need breaks here and there, but that doesn’t excuse the amount of carries that were taken away when Barber should have been on the field. Adding Andre Ellington in that Rodgers role will allow the running backs to be caught up to speed much sooner as he is familiar with Arians and what Arians likes to do or expects from his running backs. Then there’s Ronald Jones. Jones was a promising prospect that was buried in Koetter’s dog house, stunting his development and growth during his rookie season. Arians said to Buccaneers’ senior editor Scott Smith, “I’m really anxious to get on the field with all our guys but (Jones) especially, to see how much he can do of what we did in Arizona.”RoJo is being given a new opportunity, a new life under Arians. There’s a reason he was a second round pick. He may not have been the guy a lot of Bucs fans werre looking at or hoping for, but that doesn’t mean his talent wasn’t there or deserving of the pick. With proper coaching - both at the running back position as well as along the offensive line - Jones will have the opportunity to showcase his talents.Could the Bucs draft a running back? Absolutely. There’s always a need for depth as well as impact players no matter the position. However, given the holes in other areas, the Bucs seem poised to head into the 2019 season with the crop they already have on the roster. There’s nothing wrong with that. They have solid players Justin Evans Jersey , contributors, that will be an effective part of the offense throughout the year.Again, I can’t stress enough how important, how vital coaching is. Bottom line - the Bucs’ coaching the past few years has been bad. Their offensive line coach was one of the worst in the league, their head coach was predictable and transparent, and their defensive coordinator orchestrated one of the worst defenses in the 100 year history of this game. All that changed. All those shortcomings and problems went out the window when they cleaned house and ushered in the Arians era. This team was never void of talent. It was void of accountability, creativity, leadership, and knowledge. They will be just fine with the stable of backs they have now, led by an undrafted rookie out of Auburn. Perhaps the favorite underdog of them all"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections 2016 NFL DraftInjuriesFree AgencyGame FilmBuccaneers Draft Profile: RB Devine OzigboNew,1commentPerhaps the favorite underdog of them allEDTShareTweetShareShareBuccaneers Draft Profile: RB Devine OzigboPatrick Gorski-USA TODAY SportsThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back Peyton Barber on a one-year deal. They’ve also added Andre Ellington the mix and have Ronald Jones entering his second season along with unproven players like Shaun Wilson and Dare Ogunbowale. But could they add yet another running back to the group?Of course they could. Maybe not in round one, or round two or even day two. But they could. And Devine Ozigbo could be the guy they add.DEVINE OZIGBO CAREERAs a four-year contributor for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ozigbo finished with over 2,000-yards rushing, 49 receptions and 21 career touchdowns. His most impressive season was his last one, as he eclipsed 1,000-yards rushing for the first time in his career just this past season. Ozigbo also brought in a career high 23-receptions in 2018.PROS As a four-year player for Nebraska, Ozigbo has experience but not an immense amount of carries on his legs. Has size and speed which are both sutiable for the NFL. Won’t win any sprint titles, but he can get home if given the opportunity. Likewise, he isn’t Jerome Bettis, but he can hold his own.Shows all the pre-requisite traits and skills to be an effective NFL running back. Coaching and scheme are going to help get him the rest of the way. Finally, he’s a capable receiver. Quarterbacks won’t want to use their running back as a primary target anyway, but having him as an outlet when needed will come in handy.CONSHe doesn’t have an insane amount of carries for someone who played all four-years, but he has some tread taken off the tires. While his final season was impressive, his previous years showed more to be desired, so figuring out if his Senior 7.0 yards per carry average was a more accurate picture of Ozigbo as a pro is important. As Lance Zierlein pointed out on his NFL.com draft profile, Ozigbo failed to turn in big games against stiffer conference competition. This could also be a result of talent difference across the board, but it’s concerning nonetheless.WHY THE BUCCANEERS NEED HIMTampa Bay hasn’t had a real threatening rushing attack in quite some time. Peyton Barber is a good back, and a personal favorite of mine. However, he’s yet to develop any real contribution to the passing game. Some argue this has had more to do with Dirk Koetter’s affinity for having a ‘receiving back’, and they may be right.Still, it’s hard to roll into 2019 assuming Barber can be an effective receiver. Ozigbo has shown the ability to be a serviceable receiver out of the backfield, and can run enough that it doesn’t have to be his one trick. WILL IT HAPPENAs a day three option, anything can happen. Arians and company were able to turn David Johnson into an NFL star. I feel like they can do the same with Ozigbo. For the record, I feel like they can do the same with Barber as well.Tampa Bay picked up a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft where they had none previously. This could be looked at as a free pick, and used for luxuries like adding another running back with an immense ceiling.

As Colin Kaepernick reminds everyone that he’s still interested

in playing professional football Kwon Alexander Jersey , and given the permission granted by the Commander-in-Chief to employ him, will anyone hire Kaepernick?Probably not, but there’s a looming dynamic that could make the NFL’s ongoing cold shoulder to Kaepernick more glaring during the 2019 season.Three weeks from today, the NFL’s 32 teams will trim all rosters from 90 to 53. As the waiver-wire dust settles, the XFL will try to persuade some of the available players to commit to the resurrected spring league — and to remove themselves from the mix of the never ending in-season roster churn that will happen in the NFL.At quarterback, that will create a potential problem for the NFL. If teams keep two quarterbacks on the roster, an injury to the starter will create a need for a new backup. And if eight to 16 of the third-string quarterbacks who fail to make an active roster choose to accept jobs with the eight teams of the XFL, they won’t be available to the NFL.That necessarily will bump Kaepernick’s name up the list of available free agents.Of course, the quarterbacks who get in-season offers to join the bottom of a depth chart rarely get much more than the minimum salary based on their level of experience. Kaepernick may want more than that. Then again, no one knows what Kaepernick would actually want because, for more than two years and counting Mike McGlinchey Jersey , no one has offered him a contract worth any amount of money.Given that Kaepernick has spent two full seasons and counting out of football, his path back to the game necessarily will include a willingness to say yes to whatever interest comes his way — and to get the word out now that he’s willing to fly anywhere and everywhere for a visit, a tryout, and if it comes to it a bargain-basement deal aimed at giving him a chance to remind everyone that, yes, he really is good enough. Is it wrong that it got to this point? Absolutely. Is it, as a practical matter, the only way Kaepernick can re-establish himself? Unfortunately, it is. It’s still early, so there’s no need to panic"According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the San Francisco 49ers and star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner have had contract negotiations for a long-term deal but are far apart Dante Pettis Jersey , source said. Agent Chafie Fields talked with SF brass in the last few days, but there is no deal in sight. The 49ers picked up his option on April 24 and is a priority for them. This will likely lead to quite a bit of overreaction. As of today, the team could be far apart from a deal. By the time Friday comes around, they could have found a middle ground. One thing that I know is you don’t let guys as talented as Buckner see the market. I don’t foresee that happening. Buckner just turned 25-years old in March and is coming off a year where he put up 12 sacks and had the sixth most pressures in the NFL. He’s a guy that you pay. We’ll keep a close eye on this situation, but this could simply be a leverage play. Buckner will get his money, and the 49ers will give it to him. They have to. That’s what you do with star players. When Buckner starts to hold out, that’s when I will start to worry, or at least take this more seriously.
