Mitchell Trubisky out on Wednesday Aaron Lynch Jerseys 2019 , but there was little reason to believe he’d make the start against the Lions on Thursday. On Thursday morning, the Bears eliminated any whiff of doubt. Trubisky is officially inactive, which means Chase Daniel will make his first start since he was with the Chiefs in 2014. Tyler Bray was summoned from the practice squad to serve as the backup.Fullback聽Michael Burton, offensive lineman Rashaad Coward, wide receiver Javon Wims, tight end Adam Shaheen, defensive tackle Nick Williams and linebacker Aaron Lynch are also inactive for Chicago.Running back Kerryon Johnson and wide receiver Marvin Jones were ruled out on Friday White Trey Burton Jerseys , but defensive end Ziggy Ansah, cornerback Darius Slay and defensive tackle Damon Harrison are all playing after being listed as questionable. Linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin, cornerback Teez Tabor, defensive end Kerry Hyder, tackle Andrew Donnal and wide receiver Brandon Powell round out the inactive list.Bears Rush Report 2018: Week 4 vs the Buccaneers The Bears offense FINALLY showed up last Sunday, but that doesn’t meant that the defense was silent. Not only did the Bears defense hold the #1 scoring offense to 10 measly point—3 if you don’t count the garbage time touchdown—but they snagged 4 more sacks to add to their NFL-leading total of 18 through 4 games. But that wasn’t all, the front-7 accounted for another forced fumble and 3 interceptions Trey Burton Jerseys 2019 , as Akiem Hicks put serious pressure to force the throw that Eddie Jackson jumped. All-in-all, it was another banner performance from this phenomenal front!Let’s get to the fun, shall we?Week 4 at the BuccaneersSack 1 - First quarter 7:11 (2nd & 15) - Akiem HicksHicks beats right guard Caleb Benenoch almost immediately. Watch Hicks’ hands closely as he swipes Benenoch’s hands away before beating him with an outside rip move. This is just about as bad as you can beat another player one-on-one. Sack 2 - Second quarter 11:33 (3rd & 11) - Khalil MackI am starting to get a feel for what Khalil Mack does. He has several signature moves, and this is another one. He sets up the right tackle Demar Dotson by getting straight up-field, instead of trying to cut the edge early. The reason he does this is to get the tackle to “over-set” and turn his back towards the line of scrimmage. At this point, he has a huge head-of-steam built up and converts that speed-to-power, and obliterate his opponent. Watch the still shot where you can see where Mack has a chunk of jersey White Cody Parkey Jerseys , and has Dotson under control from the snap of the ball. The finish with the swipe for his 4th-consecutive strip-sack is otherworldly. Sack 3 - Third quarter 7:49 (1st & 10) - Roy Robertson-Harris & Bilal NicholsInitially it looks like Eddie Goldman and Aaron Lynch are going to win on this play but just a few frames later and it’s completely flipped. Bilal Nichols stright bull rushes Benenoch back into Jameis Winston, while RRH slow plays left tackle Donovan Smith and gives a quick swim move to get inside leverage. If it wasn’t for RRH losing his balance, Winston might have not gotten up from the hit that was coming. But this was a great effort all around and both players deserve the credit for this sack. Sack 4 - Third quarter 0:16 (1st & 10) - Aaron LynchThis is a great effort from the front-4 here. Lynch, who ends up with the sack, never gives up and ends up with the reward, but he isn’t the only one with a great effort on this play. His outside rip move beats Dotson, but Winston steps up and he has to work back around. Leonard Floyd appears to get held 2 separate times on this play Cody Parkey Jerseys 2019 , and almost notches his first sack of the season. And outside, RRH is playing patty cake until he helps finish Winston off. Pressure of the WeekThird quarter 11:19 (1st & 10) - Khalil MackCould have gone with the aforementioned Hicks play, but this one directly lead to the interception. Mack almost got his second swipe strip-sack of the game, but this works just as well. He got just enough of the ball to have it float into Danny Trevathan’s hands for the interception. For some reason, pulling left guard Ali Marpet to block Mack seemed like a good idea to Dirk Koetter. Mack takes him on, swims to the outside and then set his sights on Winston’s right arm. Here’s how I have the individual* Rush Report after week 4.Khalil Mack - 4Team Sacks - 3Akiem Hicks - 2Roy Robertson-Harris - 1.5Aaron Lynch - 1.5Roquan Smith - 1Eddie Goldman - 1Danny Trevathan - 1Sherrick McManis - 1SINO - 1Bilal Nichols - 0.5Bryce Callahan - 0.5*These numbers do not reflect a players official statistics.

Wow!Like, perhaps, a few of the Chargers’ faithful, the Degenerate Gambler really doesn’t remember a lot of the past week. As far as he can tell White Melvin Gordon Jerseys , he woke up somewhere in Escondido on Thursday, got in a fight when he wasn’t “allowed” to place any wagers on the Thursday night game, and promptly got escorted to a back lot that made a comfy bed until this morning. There not being any more night games might mean that this is a scene that will repeat itself more than once before the end of the season, but the Degenerate Gambler is still feeling good about life. Not only will there be MORE sweet Chargers action to bet on after the regular season, but he won more than 100% of his initial deposit last week. Let’s see how he did!Week 15Chargers @ ChiefsWager 1 Chargers spread (+3.5) $35 [-110] W+$31.82 Wager 2 Chargers moneyline $35 [+165] W +$57.75 Wager 3 Total (>53) $30 [-115] W+$26.09 TOTAL Win:+$115.66Season Total: +$112.26Ah, yes—that’s right, he lost every bet versus the Bengals, and his good season was tarnished in one sore week. Well Melvin Gordon Jerseys 2019 , sometimes yin and yang even out more quickly than we expect! One bad week, one excellent week. This means that this week’s deposit is effectively a free roll for the Degenerate Gambler. You would think that he’s destined to gamble on big returns with that, right?Let’s see.Week 16Ravens @ ChargersWager 1 Chargers spread (-4) $40 [-110]Wager 2 Total points (>42.5) $40 [-110]Wager 3 Chargers first half (>11.5) $10 [-120]Wager 4 Total receiving yards - M. Williams (>46.5) $10 [-115] Total potential win: +$89.76Total potential loss: EverythingWell, that’s... interesting. Nothing juicy at all, here. If we were to characterize how he’s looking at this game, it appears to be “just another day at the office” for the Chargers. This means that he’s not sure enough they’re going to crush them that he’s delving into alt-line territory (higher spreads for greater profit). There’s also a nice bet on Melvin Gordon III getting 30 or more receiving yards, but with Williams balling out last week and the team being careful with Gordon, that’s a solid bet that he’s willing to let go.The closest that we can come to solid conclusions is that he expects the Chargers to come out of the gates shooting. Two touchdowns in the first half should not be hard for the Chargers to achieve White Philip Rivers Jerseys , but the total points of just 42.5 is probably the surest thing to a “lock” this week. That’s the lowest total for a Chargers game since Buffalo (week 2 was at 41.5). The Chargers have only played two games this year with total points that wouldn’t hit 42.5 between the teams, and both had OVER/UNDER lines of much higher. It seems that, again, the Degenerate Gambler is consigned to hitching his wagon to the Chargers, which has been a good choice this season. If the Chargers win, he stands to likely at least break even this week. Of course, if they get upset, well.. he’ll be upset as well.-Jason “Never wins the first half bets” Michaels Chargers’ Playoff Scenarios Abound Heading into Week 17 - Ricky HenneIf the New England Patriots lose to the New York Jets while Houston and Baltimore both win Philip Rivers Jerseys 2019 , the Bolts would then head to Foxborough to take on the reigning AFC champions.Upon Further Review: Five Lessons from the Ravens Game - Ricky Henne“We have to start better. The last four or five games, we came from behind — it's been awesome because we won those games, but that's not winning football. Especially this time of year, we have to go out there and play our best in the first half and come out and finish the game in the second half — we haven't done that yet.”Los Angeles Chargers’ Christmas wish list - Travis WakemanThe Chargers have had a blessed season. Despite being dominated in the season opener and starting the season 1-2 following a tough loss to the Los Angeles Rams, they’ve turned the ship around and sit at 11-4 with one week left in the regular season.Chargers have to fix poor starts before postseason - Eric Williams"We've been coming back in the second half of games and winning games, and it's been awesome for our football team," Pouncey said. "But that's not the winning formula in this time of year, especially when you're playing playoff football teams.Grading all 32 first rounders after Week 16 - Mark ChichesterJames didn’t light up the stat sheet in his Week 16 game against the Ravens White Antonio Gates Jerseys , but as he has throughout the season, he made plays when his team needed him to. He made two solo tackles and added two assists against the run, but his best play of the night came in coverage when he broke up a third-down pass working against tight end Mark Andrews.Social Media Information:BFTB Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBFTB Twitter: Follow @BFTB_ChargersThe Lightning Round Twitter: Follow @Lightning_RoundThe Lightning Round Facebook: Click here to like our pageBFTB Manager: Richard Wade: Follow @RichardWade

Carolina on the road in Week 6.They're trying to do it again this season Nick Foles Jersey , this time at home.Despite winning the Super Bowl, the Eagles (3-3) are back to prove-it mode after a so-so start. The Panthers (3-2) are also looking to establish themselves as playoff contenders when they play in Philadelphia on Sunday."We were fortunate enough to come away way with a victory on the road," Eagles coach Doug Pederson said about a 28-23 win in a Thursday night game on Oct. 12, 2017. "This year, it's no different. Two good football teams. Two aggressive style defenses. So it's going to have to be a complete game if we expect to win. It's going to be a really good test for us to see where we are in Week 7."Both teams were 4-1 when they met last time. The Eagles already have matched their loss total from last season but they're coming off a dominating 34-13 win at the Giants on Oct. 11. The Panthers lost at Washington 23-17."There's no reason to panic," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "We're just going to keep working hard and trying to improve."Some things to watch between the Panthers and Eagles:TORREY'S RETURNPanthers wide receiver Torrey Smith was a starter for the Eagles last season and caught a touchdown pass on a flea flicker in the NFC championship game against Minnesota. He said he has no hard feelings over being traded to Carolina after only one season in Philadelphia. Pederson praised Smith's leadership ability."He's a great leader. Great man, first of all," Pederson said. "He brings explosiveness, he can still run, he can still get open."CONTAINING CAMThe 6-foot-5, 245-pound Cam Newton is difficult to tackle when he runs the ball. He has 208 yards rushing and a team-high three TDs on the ground."We have to make sure we do our job http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-deandre-carter-jersey ," Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham said. "If you don't, that's when Cam gets out and he beats you. He's a big boy. You just have to make sure you go get him, bring him to the ground, tackle well. We have to be aggressive but play smart, too."Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins said Newton is "more of a power running back than half the running backs they have."THE BODYGUARDEagles nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters isn't expected to miss a game despite tearing his right biceps. Pederson said there's no risk to a further injury and he doesn't see a need to rest the 36-year-old Peters. Halapoulivaati Vaitai replaced Peters after the two-time All-Pro had season-ending knee surgery last season. He performed well enough to help Philadelphia win the Super Bowl.CHESS MATCHEagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce is eager to match wits with four-time All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly."You game plan against difference makers and he's one of those guys," Kelce said. "Not only is he an incredibly gifted athlete but mentally he's as sharp as they come. He does a phenomenal job as the orchestrator of that defense."DINK AND DUNKNewton has completed only one pass that traveled more than 20 yards beyond the line of scrimmage this season. He is also averaging just 6.8 yards per completion. But Newton's completion percentage under first-year offensive coordinator Norv Turner is a career-best 65.9."When we get into the logistical things of football and what the defense is giving and what they aren't, you just can't go down and chuck the football downfield and just expect, 'Well, we didn't take shots in the game,'" Newton said. "Whatever Norv and his offensive staff calls, it's my job as a quarterback to execute it." Presenting The 60-Second Eagles Review Womens Nigel Bradham Jersey , where we relive each 2018 Eagles game in no more than a minute, complete with a weekly trio of Birds MVPs:Find previous recaps on Bleeding Green Nation right here.***Five things I think about the BirdsI think Doug Pederson would be a legitimate Coach of the Year candidate if the award took into consideration the playoffs. Even if the Eagles don’t advance past the Divisional Round, the fact they’ve gotten to this point, even as defending champions, is a true testament to Doug’s voice in Philly. This was a club left for dead weeks ago, and now they’ve upset the once-unstoppable Rams, upset the division-champion Texans and upset the NFL’s best defense — all without their star quarterback and big defensive pieces (again).I think Jason Peters and Nigel Bradham are also deserving of MVP honors from Sunday’s Wild Card win. The former helped render Khalil Mack all but useless during the game’s most important moments, whereas Bradham seemed to be all over the field when the Eagles defense clicked the most and set an early tone against the Bears in the first half.I think I liked the fake “Philly Special” two-point call, even if it didn’t work. I didn’t like the timeout beforehand, but the play itself? As soon as Nick Foles walked up to the right tackle, memories of Super Bowl LII flooded the mind Brandon Brooks Jersey , and Wendell Smallwood did his very best to get that ball up and extended. Not bad, in my book. (Obviously we might be talking about it differently if Cody Parkey makes his kick, but that’s not reality, is it?)I think Cre’von LeBlanc is quietly putting on a show out there as the nickel cornerback. Avonte Maddox got roasted a few times on Sunday but has otherwise been a ball-hawk, while Rasul Douglas has also stood his ground lately. Yet LeBlanc, a guy whose name most Eagles fans would not have recognized a few weeks ago, might be the steadiest of the bunch. Hats off to him for working — and owning — the middle of the field against Chicago.I think Eagles fans should actually be pretty confident in Doug’s strategy entering this Saints game. Will New Orleans be hard to beat in the dome? Heck yes. But something tells me Pederson will not hold back in the creativity department this week after getting embarrassed by Sean Payton and co. earlier this year. Again, that doesn’t mean an Eagles win is guaranteed or even likely, but I’ve got a feeling Philly’s going to come out swinging.

Key matchups Black Marqise Lee Jerseys , storylines, predictions, and more for Week 3 The Jacksonville Jaguars return to TIAA Bank Field this Saturday to take on the Atlanta Falcons at 7pm EST. After playing it conservative on the injury front the first two weeks, the Jaguars should have a majority of their players available, including most of the starting offensive line. So what can we look forward in this week’s dress rehearsal?OpponentSimilar to the Minnesota Vikings, the Falcons are an NFC squad who should be vying for a Super Bowl berth and will be the main competitors to the New Orleans Saints to win the NFC South this season. A terrific opponent to provide a true litmus test for the Jaguars offense, the Falcons’ scorching defense will be a tremendous test for Nathaniel Hackett and we could see the starting unit stay on the field well into the third quarter. On the defensive side, Jaguars fans who are eager to see a titanic battle between Jalen Ramsey and Julio Jones this week may need to temper expectations, as Jones isn’t likely to suit up on Saturday. Ramsey (and A.J. Bouye) will still have their hands full with good-looking rookie Calvin Ridley and veteran Mohamed Sanu, and we should get more clarity on the battle between DJ Hayden and Tyler Patmon for that starting nickel spot. The Falcons are still trying to figure out the puzzle of their return game, and rookie running back Ito Smith has shown good explosiveness despite being hindered by ball security issues as a kick returner. This very well could be Calvin Ridley’s job to lose. Once the Falcons starters tap out, keep an eye on rookie free agent from Virginia Kurt Benkert. Benkert has flashed so far in the first two games and I was told the Jaguars were doing their homework on Benkert when I was in Mobile for the Senior Bowl. I would say don’t be surprised if the Jags poach Benkert as a developmental project if the Falcons only keep two quarterbacks, but at the same time, if they really wanted Benkert Marqise Lee Jerseys 2019 , they could have drafted him in the sixth round ahead of Tanner Lee.For more information on the Falcons, check out Ryan O’Bleness’ crossover piece with Jeanna Thomas of the Falcoholic.StorylinesOffensive line. Offensive line. Offensive line. The Jaguars were down two of their five starters on the line last week and it showed. We should get our first look at marquee free agent signing and 2017 all-pro guard Andrew Norwell, but will Brandon Linder be next to him? We may not get to see the unit at full strength until week one, and that’s a bummer.Outside of the hogs, this will be a big week for the wide receiver picture and that vaunted sixth spot. Will it be Rashad Greene Sr. or Jaydon Mickens? While everyone will be watching to see who plays and contributes more on offense, I urge you to dig deeper. Based on whichever player takes the majority of special teams snaps this week should give you the answer. I also fully expect the offense to try some deep shots this week, something they have refrained from doing thus far, so expect a heavy dose of DJ Chark and Dede Westbrook.Another storyline that caught my attention last week was running back Brandon Wilds getting snaps ahead of Corey Grant. Tony Boselli shared on Monday’s Jaguars Happy Hour that this spells trouble for Grant and that his roster spot could be in jeopardy, but I find that comical. For me, the team is trying to discern if Wilds can hack at as the fourth horse in the stable or if they will need to glean the waiver wire to fill that role, so don’t be surprised if Wilds takes every snap next week against the Bucs.Key matchupsJalen Ramsey vs. Matt RyanFresh off a week-long suspension, Ramsey will need to back up the shade he threw at Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in his recent GQ interview. Ryan isn’t the type of petty personality who would take such comments to heart and try to test Ramsey as an act of vengeance, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’ll be doing his best to a move an offense that has been pretty pedestrian over the first two weeks of preseason (14 points in two games). AJ Bouye/DJ Hayden vs. Calvin RidleyThis could be a “welcome to the NFL” week for Ridley, who performed well against the Chiefs last week on his way to three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown. Kudos to Calvin for burning Steven Nelson and Tremon Smith Black Abry Jones Jerseys , but those guys aren’t exactly the Jaguars cornerbacks. We’ll see if offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian tries to move Ridley into the slot to test DJ Hayden, because I certainly wouldn’t want that smoke on the outside. If the bigger, more physical Sanu goes into the slot, we’ll see if the Jaguars continue to experiment with Ronnie Harrison as the “brute back.”Cam Robinson vs. Takk McKinleyRobinson needs to have a bounce back game after a lackluster performance in last week’s match up against Danielle Hunter. Although talented, McKinley is only in the second year of his development and is still figuring out technique and rush plans. If Robinson struggles again this week, especially with Norwell next to him, we got a problem. Taven Bryan vs. Matthew GonoI propped up Bryan’s debut in last week’s primer and he ended up sitting out. Bryan needs to return to the field on Saturday because, quite frankly, he’s falling behind. The Falcons have some of the worst offensive tackle depth in the league beyond their starters, and Bryan will likely be squaring off against Wesley College rookie free agent Matthew Gono. If Bryan doesn’t show some good rushes against Gono, it will certainly extinguish a lot of the early enthusiasm he’s earned.Leon Jacobs vs. Austin Hooper/Eric SaubertHooper has looked really good so far in preseason, and same goes for Saubert. We’ve seen Jacobs do some good things setting the edge and blitzing, but I’m sure the team would like to see more snaps from Jacobs in coverage to see if he can hang.Final predictionBortles bounces back and has some nice drives this week to assuage the haters and losers in the national media. Additionally, the offense starts out by throwing to open up the run and takes some shots deep early in the game to loosen up the box. I also expect more third down reps for Leonard Fournette to see if he can be utilized more in that role during the season. Conversely Abry Jones Jerseys 2019 , Steve Sarkisian’s offense has difficulty moving the ball on this Jaguars offense, and the “Sark Sucks” grumbles from Falcons fans start to get louder. After back-to-back years of panic-inducing dress rehearsals in week three of the preseason, the Jags coast through looking solid. No long-term injuries and consider it a win, regardless of the score.Jaguars win 24-10. Following this week’s trade of former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, the groundswell of takes from most football media outlets was that the trade would ultimately be the..."Following this week’s trade of former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, the groundswell of takes from most football media outlets was that the trade would ultimately be the domino that will lead to the seemingly forever discussed deal between the Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles for Nick Foles.NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo even went as far as to say there will be, “mutual interest”, between the Jags and Foles in making a deal happen. The problem with this narrative being driven, however, is that this looks to be a unique off-season in that the players coming available at the quarterback position— Foles included— are staring at a market that simply isn’t there. Looking at the teams with the most likely interest in the position this off-season other than Jacksonville— Washington, New York, Miami—- shows a list of franchises not very likely or capable of throwing a major amount of cash at a player like Foles, who is going to be commanding at least the $20 million provided by the option he bought out of with the Eagles. Washington has Alex Smith’s contract albatross that make’s Blake Bortles’ deal look like a rookie free agent signing and frankly the team is an even bigger dumpster fire than the Jaguars from the top down. The Giants have been talked about as being ready to move on from aging Eli Manning for seemingly every off-season of recent memory, but it would seem highly unlikely they’d cut Manning only to take on another high-dollar contract rather than keep him and draft for the future in April or 2020. Finally Black Corey Grant Jerseys , Miami is getting ready to move on from Ryan Tannehill, but all indications are they have an eye towards making their big swing at the position in 2020, when the draft class stands to be much more fruitful.Simply put, the Jaguars ARE the market for Foles or any of the mid-tier veterans that will be available come March 13th, should he hit free agency. Which means that Tom Coughlin doesn’t have to make any unnecessary trades or sign Foles to a contract relatively as lucrative as the one they reportedly seriously considered last year when Kirk Cousins became available, yet turned down because the price was simply too high, (they were correct here, by the way). The Jaguars can sit back and force the Eagles into desperation and into moving Foles to another team while taking as high of draft collateral as they can muster, or allow the market with Foles to come to them should Philly decide to let him walk, which is why I don’t believe in the end Nick Foles is starting for the Jaguars on September 8th. I do believe the team will have heavily discussed Foles as an option, but at the end of the day they will pass on getting into any bidding wars for the quarterback and Philadelphia will find a suitor willing to part with the draft picks they covet. Besides, the Jaguars are going to be too busy ensuring they get the quarterback they have coveted since the fall, Dwayne Haskins.

NFL’s Game Statistic and Information System. The Chicago Bears beat the best team in the NFC White Kyle Long Jerseys , so does that make them the top dog of the conference? Record wise, the Bears are still third at 9-4, but by shutting down the explosive Los Angeles Rams, by a final score of 15 to 6, the entire league is taking notice of the Bears. Chicago’s offense wasn’t firing on all cylinders, but the running game had their biggest showing this year by picking up 194 of the Bears’ 294 yards. And by the way, the Rams only managed to pick up 214 yards of total offense. Before Sunday night, the Rams were averaging 439 yards per game and 34.9 points per game.Chicago also held the edge in first downs (17 to 14), third down conversion percentage (44% to 25%), and time of possession (36:49 to 23:11).The only place the Rams had the “edge” was in penalties. They were hit with 9 for 57 yards, to only 6 for 45 for the Bears. This is what the Bears did to L.A. on Sunday Night. Tweets courtesy of one of the best Twitter follows around, and our very own Bears’ Historian, Jack M Silverstein. This next one reads like a horror story. Now let’s take a closer look at the playing time break downs for the Bears, and also a few of the individual stats.OFFENSEMitchell Trubisky had his worst game as a pro by completing only 16 of 30 passes for 110 yards, with 1 TD and 3 interceptions, for a 33.3 passer rating. He did get 23 yards on the ground and he was only sacked once. His TD pass wentto offensive lineman Bradley Sowell. Jordan Howard had his best game of the year with 101 yards on 19 carries, and a reception for 2 yards. Tarik Cohen continued his all around solid play with 9 runs for 69 yards, and 4 catches for 20 yards. He had 1 punt return for 22 yards. The leading receiver on the night was Allen Robinson II with 5 grabs for 42 yards. He was also targeted a team high 8 times. Also notice the i play ech for those four defensive players on the bottom of that snap count list. All four of those guys were in on the ‘Santa’s Sleigh’ play where Sowell high pointed his TD. DEFENSEThe Bears’ leading tackler was defensive back Sherrick McManis with 7, and he added a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit. Corner Prince Amukamara and inside linebacker Roquan Smith each had 6 tackles and they each had an interception. Prince’s 3 passed defended tied for the team lead with Eddie Jackson, who also had a pick. The other interception wentto Kyle Fuller, who leads the team with 7 on the 2018 season. The Bears had three sacks with one each going to Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, and Khalil Mack. Khalil picked up a forced fumble on his sack. Chicago’s defense held Rams’ running back Todd Gurley to just 28 yards rushing and they held Jared Goff to a 19.1 passer rating. Besides the 4 interceptions and 3 sacks, they had a safety, 5 TFL, 7 QBH, and 10 PD. SPECIAL TEAMSThe players listed above only appeared in the third phase.Head coach Matt Nagy pointed out the good game by punter Patrick O’Donnell in the post game presser. O’Donnell punted 5 times with a 41.8 net average while placing 4 punts inside the 20. Kicker Cody Parkey missed 1 of 3 field goals and he made his only extra point. Benny Cunningham, Nick Kwiatkoski, and Josh Bellamy each had a special teams’ tackle. The Rams did convert on a fake punt, but it was a close play. To check out all the team and individual stats from the game, I find that ESPN has an easy to navigate site. Just click the links above to see the full statistical picture. Even with last week's huge swing in fortunes by the Bills, Giants, Seahawks, Lions and Browns, there remain lots of questions about each of them.At least they aren't winless. Then there are the projected contenders who are struggling through three games: New England, Atlanta, Green Bay, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and the Chargers.Several figure to get going: the Patriots always seem to, and get Julian Edelman back in Week 5; the Packers when Aaron Rodgers is healthier; the Steelers if things ever calm down in the locker room.Unfortunately, the injuries that have ravaged the Falcons might be too much to overcome.Still, they have a win, which is more than Houston , Oakland and Arizona can say. Man, are things getting ugly in those places."It's frustrating," says Texans coach Bill O'Brien, whose team has been outscored only 74-59. "It is, but that's the way it is. That's the NFL. These are close games and it's the team that doesn't beat themselves that ends up winning Sam Acho Jerseys 2019 , and we've been beating ourselves too much."As have the Raiders , who can't hold onto a lead. They are the second team in the past 20 seasons to start the season with three straight losses after leading the first three games at halftime."Nobody cares right now. They want results," returning coach Jon Gruden insists. "We want to win. I think the players see a lot of things to be confident about, but we know we got to finish football games much better."The Cardinals need to start and finish games much better. They were blown out in their first two matches, then led Chicago for most of last Sunday's game before folding."The guys are disappointed, they're down, but they understand right now it's still early," new coach Steve Wilks says. "We need to find a way to finish football games, as we did not do (Sunday)."Wilks is correct that it is still early, and 0-3 is not a sentence to purgatory for the remainder of the schedule. Last season, the Chargers began 0-4 and nearly made the playoffs. The difference between these three 2018 stragglers and the 2017 Chargers is, for one, talent.Let's start with Oakland.RAIDERSWhen Gruden and upper management opted to deal Khalil Mack, it not only was a massive hit to the linebacker position, but to the entire defense. Super defenders such as Mack are like a Tom Brady on the other side of the ball, making everyone around them better. His departure created a major void in the locker room as well. Sometimes a player is worth whatever he's asking, or close to it. This seems to be such a case.Opponents can run on the Raiders, and there's virtually no one to fear as a pass rusher. Oakland has a total of three sacks and one takeaway.Only Buffalo in the AFC has scored fewer than the Raiders' 52 points. The passing game hasn't flopped, but Derek Carr has been picked off five times already; he threw 13 last year. Marshawn Lynch, to his credit, has three rushing touchdowns, but otherwise the ground game has been mediocre. All of that enthusiasm in the Bay Area has been dampened by the Mack trade and the 0-3 record. Should the Raiders fall to the Browns on Sunday, whatever honeymoon period Gruden had would be over.CARDINALSThis is the least surprising of the early collapses. While Arizona went 8-8 last season, it lost so much offensive firepower and brain power that having scored 20 points so far 鈥?the next-worse team is Dallas with 41 鈥?isn't shocking.Coach Bruce Arians, all three quarterbacks, including solid veteran Carson Palmer, and wideouts John Brown and Jaron Brown are all gone. The new attack installed for Wilks by Mike McCoy has been a dud despite the presence of versatile running back David Johnson, who missed all but the opener last year, and all-time receiving great Larry Fitzgerald.Only the Jets have more giveaways than Arizona's seven, and now rookie QB Josh Rosen gets the call. He likes to gamble, which could lead to a lot more turnovers. The defense under Wilks can get to the quarterback. It hasn't done much else, though.TEXANSThis slump is most confounding.Unlike the Cardinals, the Texans got back a ton of skill in J.J. Watt 鈥?the NFL's best defender when he has been healthy 鈥?Whitney Mercilus and Deshaun Watson. Many prognosticators picked them to win the AFC South or contend for a wild card in an improved division.Instead, the Texans have been perhaps the biggest disappointment of September. Watson hasn't been nearly as dynamic as in his six starts of 2017 before tearing up his knee. The offense has sputtered badly in the red zone.Watt had a big second half against the Giants last Sunday, the first time he's looked like a star.Of the three winless teams, though, Houston would seem to be the best bet to get headed in an upward direction."There's no magic dust, there's no magic wand we can just say, 'Hey, wave this magic wand and everything's going to be OK,'" O'Brien says. "It's hard work, it's trying to figure out what we do best, do it better, and the things we're not doing well, either stop doing them or figure out how to improve them."There's no other way out of it. There's no choice. ... You have to go to work and you have to figure it out. That's sports, that's life and that's the way it is."

Sam Darnold's final numbers looked every bit like those

Bad decisions Justin Jones Jerseys 2019 , receivers' slippery fingers, a cold, blustery wind and a swarming defense all contributed to the worst game of the Darnold's young career. Still, the face of the New York Jets franchise refused to be flustered."Obviously, I learned a lot from that game," Darnold said Monday, "and learned a lot from just watching tape."Darnold was 17 of 42 for 206 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions in New York's 37-17 loss to Minnesota on Sunday. After going 6 of 9 for 87 yards and a touchdown with a 135.0 quarterback rating in the opening quarter, Darnold finished with a dismal 34.4 rating. The second and third quarters were the worst, when Darnold was a combined 2 of 13 for minus-1 yard.New York was 2 of 13 in third-down situations, and the running game — which lost Bilal Powell to a neck injury early — couldn't get off the ground while finishing with 71 yards."It's not just Sam," coach Todd Bowles said. "It's the offense, defense and special teams. Our team has to do better, it's not about just Sam. It's about us coaching better. It's about us playing better in all three phases."Through the first seven games of his NFL career, Darnold's overall statistics are hardly eye-popping. And, really, they're barely mediocre. He has thrown for 1,552 yards with 10 touchdowns and an NFL-high 10 interceptions. Darnold's 56.1 completion percentage is near the bottom of the league, with fellow rookies Josh Rosen of Arizona (55.0) and Josh Allen of Buffalo (54.0) the only QBs with at least 100 attempts lower than his. His 74.3 quarterback rating is also among the worst. But there's no panic in Darnold or the Jets , particularly because the No. 3 overall pick in the draft is getting a crash course in life as an NFL quarterback."On the positive side, I thought I was on time with a lot of the routes I was throwing," Darnold said of his performance against the Vikings. "On the two touchdown drives, I thought we played really well. I thought I was able to hit the open guy."The negative, I think just continuing to really lock in on my progressions and really stick on one side of the field and understand what the safeties are doing and what the defense is doing a little bit better. So, just really continuing to grow that way."Darnold insisted the conditions at MetLife Stadium — 46 degrees at kickoff, swirling 16 mph winds and a wind chill of 39 — weren't a factor in his performance. The California kid from USC will have to get used to days like this in the Northeast, though, especially because the only other game in which he played below 50 degrees was at Utah in 2016 when it was 45.And, by the way, Darnold's numbers Sunday were much better when he had the wind at his back."I think that might have been just a coincidence," he said. "I feel like I threw the ball really well in the wind, whether we were going against it or with it. I didn't really feel like that was much of an issue at all."Drops, however, were. The Jets had five against the Vikings. The last of Darnold's interceptions came late in the fourth quarter when his perfectly placed pass went off the hands of Charone Peake and right to Minnesota's Trae Waynes."Whether I throw it to the right guy or whether I made the wrong read," Darnold said, "every single ball I throw I've got to throw it with confidence, and if I do that I think we'll have a better chance."The Jets were also short-handed at receiver, something the team might need to address in the next few days.Quincy Enunwa is out for a few weeks with a sprained ankle, and Terrelle Pryor was cut over the weekend while dealing with a groin injury. That left Jermaine Kearse, Robby Anderson and Andre Roberts — primarily a returner — as the only experienced players at the position, with Peake and just-promoted Deontay Burnett the others.Kearse, who led the team in receptions last season, finished with none on Sunday and had only two balls thrown his way."Credit to them, they did a great job scheming and their players did an outstanding job executing their scheme," Darnold said of the Vikings. "I think from that aspect, they got us. They did a great job of playing Jermaine and having a plan for him."We will be better. We will learn from it and grow from it."NOTES: The Jets fear S Doug Middleton has a torn pectoral muscle and could miss the rest of the season, as first reported by the New York Daily News. He was starting in place of Marcus Maye, who's out with a broken right thumb. ... C Spencer Long has been dealing with an injured finger on his right hand that has contributed to some bad snaps, but he also limped off the field late against Minnesota. Bowles declined to provide an update. ... The Jets signed WR J.J. Jones and C Jon Toth to the practice squad. The Chargers are headed to the postseason! While the franchise might be out of the race for the AFC West division, the Bolts have punched their ticket to a date in January and a chance to head to Atlanta for Super Bowl 53.The Bolts offseason however will be one to keep an eye on. With multiple stars heading towards the free agent market, Tom Telesco and his staff will have to do a good job making the draft and free agent market a memorable one. One way the Chargers can start their homework is by watching the bowl games heading into the holidays.Week 3 of Bowlmania is about to begin and Week’s 1 and 2 did not disappoint. With more players looking to make their NFL mark, Jake Hefner comes out strong to help with another addition of Blooming Bolts. This time is a bit different than last. With more teams playing this week, we don’t want you reading and missing out on prospects that could help turn Los Angeles into a power-house moving forward. Instead of doing all of Week 3, this article will just feature games on December 26th and 27th. We will have the next slew of games out Friday morning for all of you to enjoy. Hopefully theses prospects make the final cut of the Chargers’ big board.First Responder BowlBoise State: QB Brett RypienWhen will the succession plan begin for life after Philip Rivers? The Chargers have not drafted a quarterback since they selected Brad Sorensen in the 7th round back in 2013. Boise State QB Brett Rypien is a sleeper prospect with interesting potential. As a 50 game starter for the Broncos, Rypien completed 1,035 passes for 13,578 yards and 90 touchdowns. At 6-foot-2, 202 pounds, Rypien is a traditional “pocket” quarterback displaying good mechanics and nice touch on his throws. He does, however, have a tendency to stare down his receivers and take unnecessary sacks. But when he has time White Uchenna Nwosu Jerseys , Rypien is capable of driving the ball down the field with good accuracy. The young quarterback will have an additional opportunity to elevate his draft stock at the East West Shrine Game in the coming weeks.Boston College: DL Zach Allen The Chargers will need to address their pass rush a tad on the outside this season. While Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram are cornerstone pieces, adding depth could allow the franchise to worry less about another position group if they feel the draft class and free agent pool is weak. Allen’s final season for the Eagles is one he’ll remember for quite some time. With 15 tackles for losses and a career high 6.5 sacks, Allen does a great job maneuvering past offensive linemen and working towards the quarterback. Best at a five technique, the 6-5’ defender can play outside or kick in on heavy pass rush packages. With great work ethic and a non-stop motor, Allen would be a nice day 2 selection to add to the Chargers front line. Quick Lane BowlGeorgia Tech: Edge Anree Saint-AmourSaint-Amour is an interesting prospect that plays with a physical style and a consistent motor. His breakout year with the Yellow Jackets came this season as Saint-Amour posted 45 tackles, eleven for loss and 4.5 sacks. Possessing decent size (6’3, 245lbs) and length, Saint-Amour is still very Raw in his skill set. When evaluating Saint-Amour’s game, the biggest question will be in regards to position fit. He doesn’t have the speed to play as an OLB but is also too light to produce as a defensive end in the NFL. Saint-Amour will gain favor with teams for his attitude and physical traits, but projects as a rookie free agent.Minnesota: DE Carter Coughlin The Chargers should fix their defensive line in the draft both early and late. Having a pass rush makes a good defense great and allows a team to not have to fix every other need in a single draft. Bosa and Ingram are great but their unit behind him has been lackluster this season. Coughlin might not declare but if he does, he’s the best player on the Minnesota roster. An excellent pass rusher, Coughlin has finished the past two season with double-digit tackle for losses season and is just half a sack away from finishing with 10 takedowns on the year. Excellent on the outside, the junior defender swipes his opponent away and quickly drags opponents down behind the line of scrimmage. While he’s very raw, Coughlin would be a nice day-2 pickup if the free agent pool works out in the Chargers’ favor. Cheez-It BowlTCU: Edge Ben BanoguBanogu has been a huge contributor since joining the Horned Frogs defense in 2017. Over the past two seasons, Banogu has recorded 107 total tackles, 33.5 for loss and 16 sacks. At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Banogu is versatile enough to rush the passer from multiple positions along the defensive line. He plays physical off of the edge with good athleticism and the speed to chase down runners. Banogu uses his length well on the rush when shedding blocks from offensive lineman. He is not the most polished pass rusher and will need to add a broader arsenal to his hand movement techniques. Banogu will need to display some refinement during draft evaluations and will have to test well to determine what position he is best suited for at the next level. Whether its as a defensive end or an outside linebacker, Banogu projects as a mid-round pick.California: LB Alex Funches The Bolts’ linebacker room is in need of an overhaul after the season. Denzel Perryman is likely heading to free agency while Jatavis Brown might be the only solid starting option after coming around mid-year. While Kyzir White was a solid WILL backer during his playing time, injuries could ruin a young player’s career. The Golden Bears have little to no draft eligible players worth selecting in this upcoming draft season but if there’s one to look at on day-3, Funches would be the selection. The senior linebacker has started for two seasons and collected 69 total tackles during his time. Best used as a SAM backer, Funches attacks the line of scrimmage and is thriving when stopping the run. A gap stopper, the Golden Bear could be a nice special teams player while learning Gus Bradley’s defense. Independence BowlTemple: CB Rock Ya-SinA transfer from Presbyterian College, Ya-Sin’s production has created plenty of buzz among NFL scouts. In 2018, he made 47 tackles, 12 passes defended, and two interceptions. While those stats may not sound earth shattering, Ya-Sin only allowed just over half of the completions that were thrown in his direction. He finished with the second-highest overall grade among cornerbacks according to Pro Football Focus. At 6’2, 190 pounds, Ya-Sin is able to contend with bigger receivers. He displays good ball skills and plays with an attitude. As one of the best defensive prospects for the Owls, Ya-Sin has a great opportunity to be a high-upside mid-round selection. The Chargers cornerbacks have regressed as a unit since last season and the team should be in the market for another addition in the draft.Duke: QB Daniel Jones If Philip Rivers is going to continue to play for Los Angeles, Tom Telesco should consider at least trying to find a better Garrett Grayson. Grayson fizzled out during his time in New Orleans but the Saints were willing to use a mid-round selection to see what their future could potentially hold. If Jones falls to the late second round, he should be in play for the future. Perhaps the most River-esque quarterback in the draft, Jones has been one, if not the only, reason the Blue Devils even made a bowl game this season. At 6’5, Jones fits the mold of what many call the “prototypical quarterback”, but he also has the arm strength and mobility to take matters into his own hands by running on busted plays. While his accuracy will need some work, as will his decision-making, Jones is possibly the most gritty quarterback in the class. Pinstripe Bowl Wisconsin: OT David Edwards This is an easy grade. The Chargers are moving forward with Rivers and will need to protect him the best they can. While their interior is a bigger problem, Sam Tevi could shift back inside and take over at offensive guard should the Bolts want to address their right tackle needs. With the release of Joe Barksdale, Los Angeles should really consider drafting an offensive tackle with their first pick come April. A key blocker up front for starting running back Jonathan Taylor, the former quarterback turned right tackle has great speed, a long frame to extend his body in blocks and will be aggressive in the trenches. While still in need for better footwork in pass protection, Edwards has the size and speed to reach second level defenders as a lead blocker in the run game. If defensive line and secondary options are out, Edwards should be on Telesco’s short list.Texas Bowl Vanderbilt: CB Joejuan WilliamsWilliams will be an intriguing prospect to monitor over the next few months. Standing 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Williams is one of the biggest defensive prospects in this upcoming draft. Announcing that he will be forgoing his senior season back in November, Williams finishes his tenure with the Commodores registering 114 total tackles, four interceptions and 22 passes defended. Physical and athletic, he muscles receivers off their routes to contend throws. He shows his best work as a press corner, displaying good ball skills and is very good in run support. His tackling ability, while decent, needs to be refined as Williams will occasionally go too high when he attempts to wrap up receivers. His down field speed will be a focal point during draft evaluations as he is not a burner and not too fast off of the snap. Williams projects more as a developmental prospect but with time, his size, length and physicality could allow him to grow into a starter.Baylor: WR Jalen Hurd The Bolts wide receiver room could be willing to add another face this offseason depending on corresponding moves. Tyrell Williams will be wanting a lucrative contract and Los Angeles hasn’t been known in the past to pay their pass catchers. Travis Benjamin had one good game but still has had a horrendous season. Outside of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, no one is really safe. Hurd fits the exact mold that could replace Williams as a late round selection. At 6’4 and great speed, Hurd has natural hands from his time as a do-it-all running back for Tennessee. A YAC-machine, the former Vols star averaged 13.7 yards per catch and did a great job working through traffic to collect first downs for the Bears offense. While he’s questionable to play against Vanderbilt, if he does, his red zone capability is going to be a difference-maker for Baylor. A sixth-round pick is worth it for the Bolts offense. Custom Minnesota Vikings Jerseys

That is up from 65 of 166 at roughly the same point last season but down from 105 of 158 two years ago.Boston added J.D. Martinez last Feb. 26 and Philadelphia brought in Jake Arrieta on March 12. All but 26 of the free agents last offseason eventually reached deals, but some with big-money contracts flopped after late starts: Yu Darvish joined the Chicago Cubs on Feb. 13, went 1-3 and didn’t pitch after May 20 because of arm problems. Eric Hosmer finalized his agreement with San Diego on Feb. 19 and hit a career-worst .253 with 69 RBIs. Alex Cobb signed with Baltimore on March 26 and went 5-16.A drawn-out negotiating process means clubs have lost time in marketing new acquisitions, which seems especially significant to a sport coming off three straight years of attendance declines. People are going to talk about hangovers and all that and the banquet circuit. It’s part of it. But they’ve been disciplined enough.”New baseball operations heads are in charge of three teams: Mike Elias (Baltimore), Farhan Zaidi (San Francisco) and Brodie Van Wagenen (New York Mets).Among the major trades of the offseason, Philadelphia obtained catcher J.T. Realmuto from Miami, St. Louis got first baseman Paul Goldschmidt from Arizona and the New York Mets got second baseman Robinson Cano and closer Edwin Diaz from Seattle. In the free-agent market thus far, Washington added left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder A.J. Pollock http://www.dodgersfanproshop.com/authentic-max-muncy-jersey , Atlanta got third baseman Josh Donaldson and Colorado picked up second baseman Daniel Murphy.By March 28, when most teams open, many rosters will look significantly different. The Mets and Phillies have noticeably bolstered theirs. Others chose rebuilding and appear to have little chance to reach the postseason: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Kanas City, Miami, Seattle and Toronto.“There’s always been players available in February or March,” Van Wagenen said. “I think there’s been a higher volume of more-recognizable names than in the past.” NEW YORK (AP) — Jacob deGrom fumed about not getting a called strike three. Then again, when the New York Mets face Madison Bumgarner, things never seem to go well.Bumgarner hit an RBI double for the only earned run off the Mets ace and topped him on the mound too, pitching the San Francisco Giants past New York 3-1 on Thursday. In his first appearance in New York since tossing a four-hit shutout in the 2016 NL wild-card game, Bumgarner (5-5) gave up five hits and went eight innings to match his longest start of the season. He struck out eight and walked none.“We’ve seen him do that a few times in his career where he pitches a beautiful game and does something with the bat and helped himself,” San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said.Bumgarner extended his scoreless streak at Citi Field to 33 innings before Todd Frazier homered to begin the seventh. The big lefty is 7-0 with a 1.42 ERA in eight starts against the Mets — he’s 5-0 with an 0.59 ERA in six starts at the Mets’ park.“He has pitched well here,” Bochy said. “I don’t know how to explain that. He pitches well in a lot of places. It seems like he has done some of his best work here.”The Giants led 1-0 and had a runner at first with two outs in the fourth when an 0-2 pitch to Nick Hundley was called a ball. DeGrom (8-8) and catcher Devin Mesoraco both started to walk off the field, but plate umpire Tony Randazzo called a ball on a pitch that a computerized TV strike zone showed well inside the box.Hundley eventually walked and Bumgarner made it 2-0 with a double down the left field line, past the range of third baseman Todd Frazier. As deGrom went to back up the plate http://www.dodgersfanproshop.com/authentic-max-muncy-jersey , he began yelling at plate umpire Tony Randazzo.“I told him he can’t miss it,” deGrom said. “I thought it was a strike and you can’t miss that.”After getting the final out of the inning, deGrom flung some paper cups in the dugout along with his glove in frustration.“I don’t know if I felt like I had a good chance of getting the barrel on that,” Bumgarner said with a laugh. “A swinging bat, that’s a dangerous bat.”It was Bumgarner’s 57th career RBI and 34th career extra-base hit. Both totals are second-most behind active pitchers, behind Adam Wainwright.DeGrom went six innings and exited with a major league-best 1.71 ERA. He allowed two runs overall on four hits, striking out 10 with a season-high four walks.DeGrom has often wound up with losses and no-decisions this season because the Mets haven’t scored much for him. He appears to be in a three-way race for the NL Cy Young Award with Philadelphia’s Aaron Nola and Washington’s Max Scherzer — Nola outdueled Scherzer at Nationals Park on Thursday afternoon.Evan Longoria hit a solo homer in the eighth inning as the Giants concluded a 4-6 road trip. The Giants manufactured their first run in the third when rookie Steven Duggar walked, stole second and advanced on a groundout. He scored when Mesoraco let a pitch to Longoria go off his glove for a passed ball.Frazier hit his 14th homer in the seventh to make it 2-1. Bumgarner then hit Bautista with a pitch and gave up a single to Jeff McNeil but got Kevin Plawecki to hit into a double play and struck out Michael Conforto on a full-count fastball.Bumgarner entered the eighth at 95 pitches. He struck out pinch-hitter Jose Reyes, made a nifty snag of Amed Rosario’s comebacker to the mound and retired Austin Jackson on a groundout. Will Smith worked around a two-out walk to Jose Bautista in the ninth for his 11th save in 13 opportunities.TRAINER’S ROOMGiants: C Buster Posey didn’t play.
