GREEN BAY http://www.lionscheapstore.com/tavon-wilson-jersey-cheap , Wis. (AP) — Joe Philbin's simple, no-nonsense and consistent approach as interim head coach is rubbing off on the Green Bay Packers.Winning helps reinforce the message. The Packers are 2-1 under Philbin going into their season finale against the Detroit Lions, who have stumbled to the finish line having lost seven of their past nine games. Coach Matt Patricia's job seems safe, though his first year in the Motor City has definitely been disappointing. With the playoffs out of sight for each team, the Lions and Packers go into their game at Lambeau Field hoping to ride a win into the offseason."The time is right now," Patricia said. "That's the great part about it, is the time is right now to go out and improve and get better, and that's what we have to do."Except that any improvement can't help Detroit in the standings this year. The Lions (5-10) were assured of their first last-place finish since 2012 following a 27-9 loss to Minnesota last week. After firing Jim Caldwell following a 9-7 record last year, Detroit will finish with a worse record than in any of Caldwell's four years leading the club.Asked this week if he was told by team management if he would return in 2019, Patricia said that he was "pretty confident. Everything for me right now is just keep moving forward and getting ready for the game this weekend."While the Packers (6-8-1) are assured of a second straight losing season Cheap Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , they at least seem to be rejuvenated since Philbin was promoted from offensive coordinator to interim head coach following the firing of Mike McCarthy.A 44-38 win in overtime over the New York Jets finally got the Packers their only road victory of the season. Players have spoken of their respect for Philbin and their desire to win for him."It's relatable messages, it's talking about his family and talking about things that are important to him," quarterback Aaron Rodgers said. "And then little nuggets that we can take with us. Easy connection points, I guess is the best way to put it."Rodgers has known Philbin for a while, going back to the 2010 season when the Packers won the Super Bowl with McCarthy as coach and Philbin in his first stint as offensive coordinator.Philbin has also won over Davante Adams, who was drafted in 2014 and only started working with Philbin this year."So I think that he kind of has his head in the right spot, and … he's really easy to follow, because you know what you're going to get every day," Adams said. "You know, he makes it clear what he expects from you. That's why I'm a big Joe advocate."Another win could improve Philbin's case to stay on after this season. Team president Mark Murphy has said that he wants to get a chance to see how Philbin fared over the final four games as Green Bay proceeded with its coaching search.Other notes and things to watch:RECORD WATCHWith 111 catches http://www.lionscheapstore.com/sam-martin-jersey-cheap , Adams is two shy of breaking the club record set by Sterling Sharpe in 1993. He's also 134 yards shy of breaking the single-season mark set by Jordy Nelson (1,519) in 2014. He said that he was optimistic that he would play after missing practice at midweek with a knee injury.THE END?Lions safety Glover Quin may be playing in his last NFL game at Green Bay. Quin, who turns 33 next month and has one year left on his contract, insisted he has not decided whether he wants to play next season. He considered retiring after last season.Quin has started 147 straight games, the longest active streak by an NFL safety. Houston drafted Quin in the fourth round in 2009 out of New Mexico and he signed with the Lions in 2013. Over the past six seasons, he is the league's only player with at least 400 tackles, 15 interceptions, 10 tackles for losses and five forced fumbles.LAMBEAU FINALES?Linebacker Clay Matthews missed practice at midweek with a back injury, while receiver Randall Cobb sat out while in the concussion protocol. Both veterans are free agents after this season, meaning they could be playing their last games at Lambeau as Packers — if they're healthy enough to play at all. The coaching change leaves an extra layer of uncertainty to the offseason.SILVER LININGDetroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay made the most of the increased opportunities he had when Golden Tate was traded and when Marvin Jones was injured. Golladay Youth Graham Glasgow Jersey , the second-year, third-round pick from Northern Illinois, had 70 receptions for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns after making 48 catches for 477 yards and three scores as a rookie. Eight percent of his catches gave Detroit first downs, trailing only Tampa Bay's Chris Godwin in the category.GOING STREAKINGThe Lions are going for their first four-game winning streak in the series against the Packers since the 1982-83 seasons. Detroit is also trying to win consecutive games at Lambeau for the first time since 1990-91. The Detroit Lions may not be in the 2019 postseason, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the month of entertaining football that follows. On Sunday, the final matchups for the first round were set, and things could get very exciting this upcoming weekend. On the NFC side, the Rams locked up a first-round bye with a decisive win over the 49ers. While pretty much everything else was set in stone before Sunday, the final wild card spot was up for grabs. The Minnesota Vikings http://www.lionscheapstore.com/glover-quin-jersey-cheap , who entered the day as the six seed, blew their opportunity by losing to the Chicago Bears, raising questions about the future of their franchise and harsh criticism for Kirk Cousins. The Phildaelphia Eagles jumped on the opportunity, and the defending Super Bowl champs will have a chance to repeat despite a 4-6 start to the year and losing their starting quarterback yet again. The AFC was a lot more wild on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns were about 15 yards away from knocking the Ravens out of the playoffs, the Titans couldn’t earn a playoff spot despite hosting a play-in game against the Colts, and the Chiefs and Patriots took care of business to hold their positions atop the AFC. Allbright shared that the players held a “players only” meeting on Monday to try to begin correcting some issues. “When you get into the season and have a ‘players only’ meeting, it’s usually to correct something. It usually becomes a situation where players are griping about things or airing grievances.”The Denver defense likely has plenty of grievances to air, given that at least two of its veteran players have publicly expressed their dissatisfaction, with Chris Harris talking about needing to be more aggressive and unpredictable on defense, and Derek Wolfe’s comments after Sunday’s loss. Personally, I prefer that it happen in that type of forum rather than publicly in front of the media, as I don’t think that is ever very helpful.Allbright went on to say he’s been hearing there are some “philosophical differences” between some of the players and some of the coaches and the players want those voices heard, so this meeting was also about potentially “trying to craft that message to take to the coaches.” He alluded to the fact that those dissenting voices don’t feel that the coaching staff is putting players in the best position to succeed, which is their job.Brandon Marshall Cheap Von Miller Jersey , in an interview Monday night, shed a little bit more light on this meeting as well as the coaching staff’s approach to these conversations.“Defense we met together and we talked some things out. We even had a team meeting where Vance wanted our feedback as well on what’s going on and what we need. You know what, we still have time to turn this around and I’m glad we’re having these meetings and this communication now, because we all don’t want to feel the same as we felt last year.”It’s encouraging to hear that Vance Joseph is soliciting feedback from the players and including them in the conversation about how to fix things, especially given the fact that there seems to be some potential discord between the coaches and players. Let’s hope this dialogue continues and helps shore things up.I think Brandon speaks for all of Broncos Country when he says we all don’t want to feel the same as last year.Broncos vs Chiefs preview: How does Denver pull an upset? Rivalry weeks are always special. Fans know to expect the unexpected. Fans of the Denver Broncos got their first taste this season with a Week Two 20-19 come-from-behind win over the Oakland Raiders. It’s the latest evidence that anything and everything is possible in a rivalry game. That’s true for the next opponent the Broncos face — the Kansas City Chiefs. There have been some all-time classics from these two teams. If you sensed a “but” on the horizon, you were right. The usual excitement Broncos Country feels for this rivalry has been replaced with, “but do we have to?” Even the most optimistic Denver (2-1) fans know Monday Night Football against the Chiefs (3-0) could get ugly. Hopefully the old adage is true, “when two rivals meet, the records don’t matter.” That might be the only way the Broncos have a chance. On the latest MHR Radio Podcast, Adam Malnati and I search for any way Denver can pull the unthinkable (we don’t think there is Cheap Matt Paradis Jersey , by the way). Offensive RankingsKansas City: Seventh in overall offense (398.3 yards), 15th in rushing (103.3), seventh in passing (295.0) and first in points (39.3).Denver: Tied for 11th in overall offense (382.7 yards), third in rushing (144.7), 16th in passing (238.0) and 19th in points (20.3).Defense RankingsKansas City: Thirty-second in overall defense (474.0 yards), tied for 18th in rushing (111.3), tied for 31st in passing (362.7) and 30th in points (30.7).Denver: Fourteenth in overall defense (340.3 yards), fourth in rushing (77.7), 22nd in passing (262.7) and 16th in points (23.3). Here are our keys to the game. Run the football The best way to slow down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense is to keep them on the sideline. For the Broncos to do that they have to run the football. Good for them that’s what they’re good at through three games on offense. Kansas City’s defense is hot garbage, but don’t get into a shootout — not with those weapons. Eat clock with long Cheap Bradley Chubb Jersey , methodical drives that finish in touchdowns but also exhaust the Chiefs defense. In turn that keeps Denver’s defense as fresh as possible for the Orange Rush to get after Mahomes and limits the miles the Frequent Flyer Zone can give away. — Ian St. Clair Flip the script Denver has been playing back on first and second down hoping to get to third down to bring the sizzle. So far, that hasn’t worked, and Mahomes will shred the Broncos if they try that again this week.Blitz from the first snap and don’t stop. Mahomes is a young quarterback who is operating great within Andy Reid’s scheme, because they have been dictating pace and matchups. Don’t let them. Is it more risky? Sure, but we know what we’re going to get if we don’t take a risk. Don’t allow him to pick his spots, force him to one or two choices based on pressure and having to throw hot, and close out on that option.Rattle him and make him uncomfortable, and maybe Denver has a chance to shake up that jauggernaut offense. One thing I know is that doing more of the same isn’t going to work.— Jeff Essary Control tempoThe Chiefs offense may be a pick your poison proposition for the Broncos defense. This will be a huge test for the offense. What we saw from Kansas City against the Pittsburgh Steelers is its inability to stop anyone. The Broncos will need to do the same. Case Keenum will need to control the tempo of the game. If the offense can keep pace, they should be able to come away with a win. — Adam Malnati Return of the No Fly Zone Secondary has to find a way to keep the game in the 20s. That’s on Joe Woods. He has to mix the coverages and keep Reid and Mahomes off balance enough to give the Orange Rush time to get home. If he fails to do that, Denver has no chance. —Just_JoRoSign extra defensive linemen The purpose for this is to hit Mahomes on literally every play. We will get lots of personal fouls and many ejections http://www.broncoscheapauthenticstore.com/todd-davis-jersey-cheap , but it’s the only chance the Broncos have. Otherwise, we are staring down the barrel of a 20-30 point defeat. — Pete Baron Be ready for the MNF lights Denver needs to be ready to execute from the opening kickoff. None of this “settle in” nonsense. The Chiefs won’t wait for the Broncos to get into a groove. Adjustments need to be made on the fly, and both coaches and players need to be ready for implementing them. — Casey Barrett The MHR Radio Podcast is now on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher and TuneIn.

Russell Wilson goes without rushing attempt for first time in his Seahawks career The Seattle Seahawks lost 33-31 to the Los Angeles Rams http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-nick-vannett-jersey , but this was by far the most impressive performance by the offense all season. Seattle’s running game, famously moribund last season, has come alive over the past two games. Chris Carson had an impressive 116 yards on 19 carries, while Mike Davis chipped in 68 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown. Even Tyler Lockett had a 6-yard carry on a pitch.Notably absent from the running game box score? Russell Wilson.Yes, for the first time in Wilson’s 113 games (101 regular season, 12 postseason) with the Seattle Seahawks, Wilson did not run the ball even once. Not by design — he absolutely had opportunities to keep on read-option plays but chose not to — and not through scrambles. Zero rushes, zero yards. Now there is an asterisk here in that he had two rushing attempts for -1 yard against the Dallas Cowboys, but one was a kneeldown and the other was the fumbled exchange with Rashaad Penny. This does however mark the official “0” in the stat sheet for #3.Through five games, Wilson has just 11 attempts for 42 yards. He has been battling a hamstring injury J.R. Sweezy Jersey , but he sure looked fine when running downfield to help block for his running backs. The season is still young, but it sure doesn’t look like the 2012-2014 era of Wilson running/scrambling is coming back any time soon, if ever. As I started to write this article and needed to find an image for the home page, a thought occurred to me: “Could there possibly be a picture of Rashaad Penny and Justin Tucker together?” I didn’t even search for it. Of course not, that would be insane. Literally, I think I’ll lose my mind if such a picture exists.Penny is a rookie. He’s been in the league for five games. (Kinda). He’s a running back. He’s on the Seattle Seahawks.Tucker is a veteran. He’s in his seventh season. He’s a kicker. He’s on the Baltimore Ravens. The two players have never been on the same football field, as far as I could tell. So how could they possibly be linked together for this article? Just from the fact that I began to wonder, would I rather have Penny or Tucker on the Seahawks? It’s a weird thing to consider for a number of reasons, but most pertinent of all is that Tucker is a kicker. Penny is a running back. More important than Penny being a running back though is that Tucker is a kicker. A kicker. We aren’t supposed to care about those. Those guys don’t get drafted in the first round. (Unless you’re Seattle’s current kicker, who by the way was drafted 18 years ago.) Penny was just drafted in the first round. How could a kicker ever be more valuable than a running back? I’m not sure we have the time to go over all the reasons we got here http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-tom-johnson-jersey , but we got here.A kicker, in some cases, seems to absolutely be more valuable than a running back. Even a good running back.We can’t quantify how many games the Seahawks have lost in the last three years because of their running backs. I’m sure it’s more than zero, but given the value of the position today, it’s probably not that much more than zero. We can quantify how many games they’ve been losing because of their kickers though, and it’s too many.A lot of other teams feel the same way. Finding a good kicker has become really hard to do and finding a good running back has not been that difficult. On Sunday, Mason Crosby missed four field goals (three from under 45 yards) and a PAT. And he’s one of the reliable ones. Many teams don’t have kickers that they feel they can count on beyond 50 yards, as we saw during the Steven Hauschka era.The Eagles’ Jake Elliott is 0-for-2 on kicks beyond 40 yards. The Lions’ Matt Prater is 1-for-4 on those kicks. Arizona’s Phil Dawson hasn’t made a kick outside of 30 this year. (0-for-2, the Cardinals are terrible.) Finding a great kicker is really difficult. And Tucker is the best kicker in the league. Maybe the best kicker in history.Tucker is 12-for-14 with two uncharacteristic misses from under 50 yards — one was blocked by the Broncos and the other was blocked by the Browns. In his career, Tucker is 50-of-50 inside 30 Cheap Michael Dickson Jersey , 65-of-67 from 30-39, 63-of-71 from 40-49, and 36-of-50 from 50 and beyond. He’s got a long of 61 and he’s twice hit from 57. He is 217-of-217 on extra points. How badly would you want Tucker on the Seahawks? Bad enough to swap your first round running back for him straight up? I proposed this question on Twitter and there were nearly 3,000 votes. The result was just like Justin Tucker from inside 30 yards: 50/50.Now, some people responded with the idea that I was saying Seattle should trade Penny for Tucker. That’s not what the tweet was about at all. I was just curious if others would. It turns out that a lot of them would. A first round running back or a Hall of Fame kicker? I don’t know what the right answer is, and I certainly don’t know that a right answer even exists, but I think it’s more than worthy of speculation. Great kicker or good running back...in the modern game, which would make you feel better about the Seahawks chances?

How good of a job has Brock Osweiler done this year filling in for Ryan Tannehill? On paper his numbers look decent with 6 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and a 7.6 yards per attempt average. Has he been better than Cheap Jason Myers Jersey , worse than, or properly represented by those numbers?2. Let’s discuss Ryan Tannehill in particular. How likely is it that he suits up this week, and how cautious has the team been with their handling of the injury? Also Brian Winters Jersey , is Tannehill on any sort of “hot seat” at all in terms of needing to prove more throughout 2018 in order to completely secure his spot as the team’s starting quarterback in 2019?3. Adam Gase now has 40 regular season games under his belt and is a dead even 20-20. Is there any sort of growing pressure on him or does confidence remain that he can be the leader of a consistent contender?4. Since Week 4, only the Buccaneers and Raiders have allowed more points per game than the Dolphins have. What has caused the collapse on defense?5. What are the biggest overall differences between the Dolphins team that went into Foxborough at 3-0 and the Dolphins team that enters the second half of the season as losers of 4 its past 5 games? Does it feel like this downfall is one the team can climb out of to return to a top-tier contender level, or does it seem like Miami is simply evening out to match its talent level? Week 4 of the 2018 NFL season continues with a handful of somewhat uninspiring late afternoon games. If you’re in the New York metropolitan area the 1-2 New York Giants take on the 2-1 New Orleans Saints in a game that could feature some offensive fireworks http://www.jetscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-brandon-shell-jersey , with plenty of star power at the skill positions on both sides. We all benefited from Alex's compassion, character and zest for football and life."Spanos hadn't been in charge of day-to-day management of the Chargers since 1994 Authentic Melvin Ingram Jersey , when he turned over the responsibilities to Dean Spanos, his oldest son. Dean Spanos decided to move the Chargers from San Diego to Los Angeles last year. The team announced in 2008 that Alex Spanos was suffering from dementia, and he eventually stopped attending games."Laura and I send our condolences to the Spanos family on the death of their beloved patriarch, Alex Spanos," former President George W. Bush said in a statement. "Alex was one of a kind. ... He was a wonderful citizen and friend, and the Bush family will miss him."Born in Stockton on Sept. 28, 1923, Spanos took an unlikely road to NFL ownership. After working in his father's bakery and serving in the Air Force during World War II, Spanos borrowed $800 from a banker to buy a truck from which he sold sandwiches to migrant farm workers in the San Joaquin Valley. He began investing in real estate and started a construction company that mostly built apartment buildings, eventually expanding its footprint across the Sunbelt and Midwest.Spanos and his wife were generous philanthropists, giving to many causes related to hospitals, universities and youth programs. He gave extensively to the University of the Pacific http://www.sandiegochargersteamonline.com/trevor-williams-jersey , his alma mater in Stockton, where the Alex G. Spanos Center houses the Tigers' basketball and volleyball teams. He was an avid golfer and counted among his friends Bob Hope, Gerald Ford and many prominent politicians. Hope sometimes attended Chargers home games, sitting in Spanos' box."Alex Spanos lived the American Dream," former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Twitter. "His incredible story should inspire each and every one of us. As a son of immigrants, he rose from working in his father's bakery to become a titan of real estate and business. But more importantly, he used his money and platform to give back to the world. He was a dear friend and I'll miss him dearly."During his third season of Chargers ownership, Spanos fired legendary coach Don Coryell after the Chargers started 1-7 in 1986. It took nine seasons for the Chargers to make their first playoff appearance under Spanos' ownership, in 1992.After then-general manager Bobby Beathard nearly resigned following the 1993 season due to a feud over signing bonuses for free agents, Alex Spanos put Dean in charge of day-to-day operations of the team. With Beathard remaining, the Chargers made their only Super Bowl appearance, a 49-26 loss to San Francisco in January 1995.It was Alex Spanos who first raised the topic of a new stadium in 2000 Womens Austin Ekeler Jersey , just three years after the city expanded Qualcomm by 10,000 seats for the Chargers, touting it as being Super Bowl-quality. The stadium hosted Super Bowls in 1998 and 2003, but the city fell behind on maintenance and it fell out of the Super Bowl rotation.Alex Spanos wasn't held in warm regard by many San Diego fans and was booed during a halftime ceremony to retire Hall of Famer Dan Fouts' No. 14 in 1988. After that, Alex Spanos didn't participate in similar ceremonies. The Chargers last year left San Diego, their home of 56 years, and moved north after years of fruitless attempts to secure funding for a new arena to replace aging Qualcomm Stadium. The Chargers are currently in the midst of their second of three seasons playing at StubHub Center in suburban Carson, but they will share a multibillion dollar stadium complex in Inglewood with the Los Angeles Rams upon its completion in 2020.Spanos is survived by four children, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The Chiefs said all offseason they were willing to live with some mistakes from Patrick Mahomes, because they were convinced he’d make enough plays to make it worthwhile. In his first start with the job all his own, he was able to avoid the mistakes, and make enough plays to cruise to a ninth-straight head-to-head win over the Chargers 鈥?making it the best possible outcome.Mahomes was closer to efficient than eye-popping Womens Darius Philon Jersey , but kept the ball in the hands of his playmakers as the Chiefs beat the Chargers 38-28.Mahomes was 15-of-27 for 256 yards and four touchdowns, and didn’t turn the ball over. And with the Chargers making their share of mistakes, that was enough.Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill hit the trifecta, catching a long touchdown pass (a 58-yarder), a short pass (a 1-yard flick which was punctuated with a back flip) and a punt return (91 yards to start the scoring). The Chargers had some bright moments (including the return of Antonio Gates who caught a touchdown), but dropped too many passes. A late muffed punt didn’t help, but by that point, the Chiefs had established themselves. There was also a missed field goal, bringing back bad memories for the Chargers. But on the other side, the future was bright. While there will doubtless be harder days for Mahomes, Sunday was all they could have asked for. Custom Washington Redskins Jerseys

The Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs released their second injury report of the week today and the Broncos had a surprise addition to their injury report. All-Pro linebacker Von Miller was added to the injury report with an ankle injury but it is not considered serious.Head Coach Vance Joseph told reporters that Von’s injury is “very minor” and not considered an issue going forward. However http://www.broncoscheapauthenticstore.com/bradley-roby-jersey-cheap , whenever Von is listed on the injury report it is noteworthy and something to watch going forward. The Broncos need Von healthy and effective this Sunday if they want any chance to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.Running back Royce Freeman, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton, linebacker Shane Ray, safety Darian Stewart Youth Adam Gotsis Jersey , and tackle Jared Veldheer remained sidelined in practice. These players have missed two straight practices which puts their availability for Sunday’s game up in the air. These players will likely have to participate in tomorrow’s practice to have any shot of playing on Sunday.Recently acquired offensive lineman Nico Falah who is in the concussion protocol put in a limited session today which means he is making positive progress. It’s unclear if he will be active or not for Sunday’s game but he is at least trending the right way with his health. As for the Chiefs, safety Eric Berry, linebacker Justin Houston, and center Mitch Morse continued to sit out practice.

Hunt for Ram October: Moment 8 of 10 is Charlie Whitehurst’s finest Cutting to the chase Womens Frank Clark Jersey , Beastquake doesn’t happen without Charlie Whitehurst. And Ruvell Martin. And Mike Williams. And some St. Louis Rams ineptitude. And some good defense. And a terrible division. But mostly, it doesn’t happen without the biggest play of Whitehurst’s pro career, a gorgeous four-yard TD rainbow to Mike Williams. It’s a simple enough toss, yet one that put enough points on the board for the 2010 Seahawks to win the NFC West and advance to the soon-to-be-epic wild-card game with the Saints.Quick history lesson: in Week 17 of Pete Carroll’s first season, the 6-9 Seahawks hosted the 7-8 Rams in what was truthfully — albeit desperately — billed as the NFC West Championship Game. Seattle was vying to become the first sub-.500 division champion ever; St. Louis was vying to return to the playoffs for the first time in six seasons. Neither team was good. Regardless, someone had to win the division.Moment number 8: Whitehurst to Williams, for sixWhen: January 2, 2011, Week 17.Game state: Seahawks 0, Rams 0, first drive of the game, 2nd and goal from the STL 4, 11:43 Q1.What happens: Charlie Whitehurst finds Mike Williams in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown. The film:Five plays earlier, Whitehurst had seen Ruvell Martin break impossibly open, on what can only have been a blown coverage by the Rams. The duo connected for 61 yards, an explosive play that Womens Nick Vannett Jersey , along with the ensuing score, helped change history. It was the longest pass of Whitehurst’s career to that point, and the longest reception of Martin’s.Martin made 13 more catches in his career, ever, following that play — two in this game. Williams and Whitehurst left the Seahawks after the 2011 season. But their spirits will always be with us.(For moments 10 and 9 in our countdown, click this place and this place also.) Through the first half of the 2018 season Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has amassed 497 yard on 111 rushing attempts in spite of missing a game and a half due to injury. Those numbers have already far exceeded the numbers of any running back in recent seasons, and give him a somewhat realistic shot at a one thousand yard season, depending on his health over the second half of the year. It’s that last part that may be most worrisome. In recent seasons Seahawks fans have become accustomed to seeing running backs miss time due to injury, with the team having trotted out a parade of backs. The Hawks have had 18 different running backs carry the ball over the past three and a half seasons, and that number does not include carries by fullbacks Derrick Coleman, Tre Madden or Will Tukuafu. Including those three means that Seattle fans have seen rushing attempts by 21 different players in the time since the ill-fated goal line interception in Super Bowl XLIX, and Chris Carson’s 2018 season is already one of the best seasons for any of those 21 ball carriers in that time frame. In fact, just to put how unreliable the Seahawks running backs have been since the start of the 2015 season, here’s a list of the top fifteen seasons by a running back for the Hawks during that time period. Seahawks RB seasons since 2015Season RankPlayerSeasonAttemptsYardsYard Per CarryTouchdownsSeason RankPlayerSeasonAttemptsYardsYard Per CarryTouchdownsThus, if the season were to end today, Carson’s 2018 season represents the second most rushing yards by a Seattle running back since the Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots http://www.seattleseahawksteamonline.com/tyler-lockett-jersey , as his 40 yards on eight attempts against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday pushed his season total past that of Christine Michael’s 2016 total of 469 yards. What is troubling, however, is that Carson has been on and off the injury report with a hip issue of some kind for the past six weeks, following his 32 carry effort against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. Following that Herculean effort by Carson against the Cowboys, he then missed the Week 4 game against the Arizona Cardinals, before playing against the Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders heading into the bye week. He then played against in Detroit coming out of the bye, however, his hip injury forced him out of the game against the Chargers, and he logged zero carries after the midway point of the second quarter. To me this says that he is nursing an injury that could require several weeks of recovery, as he’s already had separate weeks off, and the injury does not appear to have fully healed either time. Obviously we will know more when the first detailed Week 10 injury report comes out later today, but for Seahawks fans who have grown wear of seeing their running backs on the injury report over the last several seasons, this seems like a case of deja vu all over again.

The Seattle Seahawks returned from their bye week with two key players back on the field after missing the first six games due to injuries. The Seahawks welcomed back linebacker K.J. Wright and tight end Ed Dickson to practice Monday as they began preparations for Sunday's game against Detroit.Wright's return has been a long time coming after he underwent what was deemed minor arthroscopic knee surgery following Seattle's third preseason game in August. The team initially believed Wright would be back within a few weeks Los Angeles Chargers Hoodie , but a setback in his recovery extended the rehab and ultimately led to the starting linebacker missing nearly two months."We're not too bad right now," coach Pete Carroll said. "We're fortunate we're coming out the last few games we've made it through for the most part. Guys felt good coming out of last week and going into the break. It helped us and to get a few guys back, too, it's a nice little boost."Dickson was placed on the non-football injury list before the start of training camp due to groin and quadriceps injuries and never made it into camp, meaning he had to be a spectator for the first six games of the season. Dickson was likely ready to return a couple of weeks ago, but being on the NFL list required him to miss six games.Dickson's return will be a big boost to a position that suffered a setback when rookie Will Dissly injured a patellar tendon in the Week 4 victory over Arizona. Carroll said Dickson ramped up the intensity of his workouts in the past couple weeks in the hopes of being able to play this Sunday."They've been working really hard so this isn't a big jump for them. That's part of the rehab, particularly for Ed who has had a long time to work at this," Carroll said. "He's been running really hard so he should not feel like it's a big step for him to get back on the practice field and should be able to play extensively on the weekend should he make it through the week."Also back at practice for Seattle was rookie defensive lineman Rasheem Green, who had missed three games with an ankle injury, and tight end Nick Vannett after he missed the game in London due to a back injury.NOTES: Carroll said LB Mychal Kendricks, indefinitely suspended by the NFL for his conviction on insider trading charges, had a scheduled hearing with the league Monday. Carroll said he was hoping to hear something from the league Tuesday. ... Carroll said he reassured the team that nothing is expected to change in the wake of owner Paul Allen's death last week. "We're fine. Everything is going to be like we've been doing it We'll carry on with the same intensity and expectations and support and all of that, and that it was our job to carry on in the fashion that Paul wanted us to." ... Seattle claimed LB Emmanuel Ellerbee off waivers from the Los Angeles Chargers after safety T.J. Green left the team. Carroll said Green indicated he didn't want to continue playing.Top 5 2019 Draft Prospects from California Schools The state of California is home to a handful of universities that always seem to have one or two teams each year in the national spotlight. This past year Youth Customized Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys , Stanford running back Bryce Love was the Heisman runner-up. Two of the top three quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft also hailed from the west coast in Sam Darnold (USC) and Josh Rosen (UCLA).There is always a plethora of talent in the Chargers’ backyard, something we’ve seen the team take advantage of recently with the selection of former-Trojan Uchenna Nwosu in this year’s second round.Below I’ve listed my top-5 NFL Draft prospect from the state of California in order to give you all some names to jot down prior to the 2018 college football season.RB Bryce Love - Stanford- 5’10 196 poundsJohn Hefti-USA TODAY SportsLove found himself joining the “Stanford-Heisman Runner-Up Club” with notable alumni Andrew Luck, Christian McCafferey, and Toby Gerhart. However, without a lower-body injury towards the end of the season, Love may have ran away with the award over Baker Mayfield.Love finished second in the nation with 2,118 rushing yards and 162.9 yards per game. His 19 rushing touchdowns were fifth-best while his 8.05 ypc were fourth best among FBS backs.A unanimous All-American, Love also took home the Doak Walker Award for the nation’s top running back and was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year. After the 2018 season comes and goes, the more important question will not be what round Love goes in but will the prolific running back choose football over his dream of being a doctor?OG Nate Herbig - Stanford - 6’4 350 poundsSergio Estrada-USA TODAY SportsI affectionately refer to Herbig as “The Hawaiian Hogmolly” because he is one HUGE piggy. At a svelte 350 pounds, Herbig is a load to move and an absolute pain in the rear end to try and get past.Herbig saw significant playing time as a true freshman in Palo Alto. He suited up in all 13 games while earning six starts at the left guard position, en route to being named an ESPN Freshman All-American. As a sophomore, he solidified his starting job and started all 13 games. He was unsurprisingly selected to the All-Pac-12 First Team.Heading into 2018, the Hawaii-native is a Preseason First-Team All-American by Phil Steele and will play an integral part in Bryce Love’s campaign for the Heisman Trophy.TE Kaden Smith - Stanford - 6’5 253 poundsJohn Hefti-USA TODAY SportsSmith is a former 4-star recruit from Marcus (Texas) that was rated the second-best tight end in the country by ESPN. After taking a redshirt year in 2016 www.chargersfootballauthentics.com , Smith was an efficient option in the passing game as he had to split reps with Dalton Shultz, who is now a member of the Dallas Cowboys. In 14 games this past year, Smith hauled in 23 catches for 414 yards and five touchdowns. With the departure of Shultz, Smith is expected to take a prominent role in the passing game as he looks to establish himself as the next great Cardinal tight end. Expectations will be high as Smith was recently named a Preseason Third-Team All-American by Athlon Sports.OLB Porter Gustin - USC - 6’5 255 poundsMark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsAfter leading the Trojans in tackles during the 2016 season, Gustin’s junior season was cut short after four games following a toe injury suffered in the second game of the season. In those four games, Gustin was still able to collect 16 tackles and three sacks before he needed to shut things down. When healthy, Gustin is the top pass-rusher on USC’s roster and one of the best in the entire Pac-12. As a former five-star recruit out of high school, expect Gustin to wreak havoc as one of the most “freaky” athletes in college football.LB Cameron Smith - USC - 6’2 250 poundsMark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsSmith is the prototypical linebacker that all NFL teams should covet in the present day.Not just seen as a tackling machine, Smith makes plays all over the field in every possible aspect. In 9 starts as a true freshman, Smith stuffed the stat sheet as he collected 78 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, six passes defended Los Angeles Chargers T-Shirt , and three interceptions (one for a touchdown). As a sophomore, Smith upped his overall game as he increased his total tackles to 83 to go along with 7 tackles-for-loss, another sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and four passes defended. He was named a Second-Team All-Pac-12 selection for his efforts. In 2017, Smith kept the production arrow pointing up as he totaled 112 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and four passes defended en route to being named a Third-Team All-American. Custom Indianapolis Colts Jerseys

Denver Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of criminal trespass after a couple reported he came into their suburban house uninvited and sat down on their couch "mumbling incoherently White Von Miller Jersey ," according to court records.General manager John Elway said the team was "very, very disappointed in Chad and the situation he put himself into" and suggested the Broncos were pondering Kelly's future with the club.Kelly attended a Halloween costume party hosted by Von Miller on Monday night that has long been a tradition for Broncos players and their significant others. The Broncos were trying to figure out what happened after Kelly left the party."We are in the process of getting all the facts and talking to Chad, and then we'll figure out exactly which direction we're going to go," Elway said on his weekly radio show on Orange & Blue 760. "When the team has a get-together, (it) is always a good thing. You like . when they get together and the camaraderie that goes along with being a team. But when you have one person that kind of puts a dent in the whole process, it's very disappointing."We're going to look into this, and look into it very seriously, because the charges are very, very serious and we understand that," Elway said. "We will look into this and then make decisions as we go."The 24-year-old Kelly posted $2,500 bond Tuesday and was released. He's due back in court Wednesday.According to court records, a couple told police that a stranger came into their Englewood home after 1 a.m. The intruder sat down on the couch next to the woman, who was holding the couple's young child, and was "mumbling incoherently," according to the records. The man yelled at the intruder to get out and hit him in the back with an aluminum tube from a vacuum. The homeowners showed police surveillance video of a man wearing dark pants, a white long sleeve shirt with a brown vest and a red scarf around his neck entering the front door. The homeowner told police he thought the door was locked but police found no signs that someone had forced their way inside.Police said they found Kelly sitting inside a black SUV parked about a block from the couple's home. Kelly matched the surveillance video footage and the man later identified him as the person who came into the house, according to court documents.Police and court records do not address Kelly's physical state at the time, and there is no mention of testing for alcohol or substance use.Police said officers made the arrest "without incident."Kelly's arrest could put the second-year pro in line for discipline from the Broncos or the league, which doesn't need a court conviction to mete out punishment for a violation of the NFL's code of conduct."We are reviewing the matter," the NFL said in an email to The Associated Press. The Broncos chose Kelly with the final pick of the 2017 NFL draft. Although Kelly brought an attitude that had often crossed the line in college, Elway said fellow Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly personally vouched for his nephew, so Elway signed off on the selection.Chad Kelly missed his rookie season while recovering from knee and wrist injuries, then beat out former first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch last summer to serve as the backup for starter Case Keenum.Keenum signed a two-year, $36 million deal in March but is off to a middling start for the Broncos (3-4). He has eight touchdown passes and nine interceptions after throwing for 22 TDs with just seven interceptions last season in Minnesota, where he led the Vikings to the NFC championship.Kelly has played just one snap, a kneel-down on the final play of the first half against the Rams two weeks ago while Keenum was being evaluated for a concussion. On Monday, coach Vance Joseph said he'd be comfortable with Kelly at quarterback should anything happen to Keenum. The only other quarterback on the Broncos roster is Kevin Hogan, a third-year pro from Stanford who was awarded to Denver off waivers from Washington last month.Kelly's spectacular college career at Ole Miss was marked by off-field slip-ups, although he hadn't been in any trouble since the Broncos drafted him.He was kicked off the Clemson team in 2014 after arguing with coaches during the spring game. He also was arrested after a bar fight in 2014, eventually pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. In October 2016, he was involved in a brawl at his brother's high school football game in New York. He ran onto the field after his brother, Casey Kelly, apparently took a late hit and video shows several coaches restraining him on the field.Although he didn't play in the Senior Bowl after his final season at Ole Miss because of a right knee injury, he was in attendance all week in Mobile, Alabama, so he could talk with NFL teams about his off-field troubles. At the time, he said being upfront about his missteps was important: "You've got to be honest, of course, but you've got to admit to what you did and you've got to try to convince them that you've learned from those mistakes and that you're not going to make them again. The owner doesn't want to hear about it. The GM doesn't want to hear about what you did. They want to know if you've learned from it and won't make the same mistake twice."The future of Broncos Country is in excellent hands Trying to raise two Broncos fans in New Hampshire isn’t easy. On Saturday, I returned from a two week trip with my boys to the Mile High City where I made every effort to steep them in all things Denver Broncos and disinfect that pesky Patriots stink off of them. That process began with a visit to the last day of Broncos training camp.“We watch them practice and then you can get autographs http://www.authenticsdenverbroncos.com/cheap-jake-butt-jersey ,” I told the boys. We had looked forward to it for months. At 5 and 6-years old, the boys were understandably squirmy during practice. They knew it was a big deal, but weren’t entirely sure what the point was. Frankly, I don’t blame them. With the Chicago Bears in town for joint-practice before their preseason game, there was so much orange, blue, and white out there on the field(s) that even I needed MHR’s Ian St. Clair’s help to decipher just what was going on. As promised, once practice ended, fans made their way down the berm to get signatures from whichever players wandered over. When the first player walked over, my oldest son held the Broncos mini-helmet I bought him high over his head to secure a signature. It was remarkable the care that the player took in signing. Anything more than a scribble was a total win. In all the excitement, I didn’t realize that the fella who signed my son’s helmet was Bears linebacker, Sam Acho. Needless to say, my son didn’t care. He got a signature! He was so proud. My youngest son, inspired by the signature his older brother got, was determined to get one of his own. We watched as Demaryius Thomas and Von Miller worked the ropes in the player family and friends area. Unfortunately, after a million autographs each, they never made it to where we were. When Domata Peko started working his way down our area of the line, my youngest held that mini-helmet up as high as he could. Unfortunately, despite signing forever, the swarm of folks around us meant that my youngest’s helmet went unsigned and Peko apologized as he jogged off. I couldn’t blame him for not getting to it. He had to stop somewhere and not everyone can get an autograph. These are hard lessons to learn, especially if you’re 5.My 5-year old didn’t take it well. He immediately melted into a puddle of disappointment and tears. As I carried him up the berm toward the exit, there was no consoling him. He wanted the world to know that he was mad and that he hated the Denver Broncos, me, and just about everything under the setting sun. It was a tantrum for the ages. That’s when the future of Broncos Country graced us with the ultimate kindness anyone could ask for in that situation.Out of nowhere, this youngster, who was maybe 12-years old, appeared and came to my son’s aid. “Here, take it,” he said. In his hands was a Broncos pennant bearing Broncos rookie linebacker Jeff Holland’s signature. “No way, we couldn’t take that from you. That’s yours. He’ll be fine,” I said.“He should have an autograph. I don’t need it. It’s his.”Despite my efforts to decline his offer, I found myself with the signed pennant in my hands and the kid was gone. For a 12-year old to be so keenly focused on making my youngest son’s first training camp a happy experience is nothing short of remarkable.I don’t know who that kid was, but later that day, my son was thrilled to look at that pennant and talk about Jeff Holland. What exactly does a linebacker do? Is he good? Does he have black stuff under his eyes?In a chaotic world populated by self-serving individuals, it was inspiring to see the future of Broncos Country show such kindness and caring to a little kid he’d never met. His parents should be proud to raise such an amazing kid. When my son looks upon Jeff Holland’s signature on that pennant hanging on his wall as he grows older, he’s not going to see just a pennant with a signature, he’s going to be reminded that being selfless for others is distress is the way to act. I only hope that I can raise my boys to be as amazing as that kid was on the last day of Broncos training camp.

Raiders 30 Seahawks 19: Winners and Losers from Seattle’s 2018 preseason finale The 2018 NFL preseason is over Authentic Frank Clark Jersey , and now we can focus our attention on roster cuts, then the start of the Seattle Seahawks’ quest to get back into the playoffs. Seattle fell to the Oakland Raiders 30-19, and in case you’re wondering, no team in the 16-game era has ever gone winless in the preseason and gone on to win the Super Bowl. However, the 1982 Washington team did go 0-4 in preseason and win the Super Bowl, although that was a strike-shortened year, so 16 games weren’t played. Anyway, after a seemingly endless final preseason game, here’s the final Winners and Losers recap before we turn the calendar to September and Week 1 of a brand new season.WinnersMike DavisDavis rushed for 45 yards on 9 carries and a walk-in one-yard touchdown. If you go by DVOA, Davis was only marginally better than Eddie Lacy and Thomas Rawls in his handful of starts last year. He won’t be starting this year unless we have another merry-go-round of injuries, so I’m more than fine with seeing Davis as a third-down back.Damore’ea Stringfellow and Malik TurnerThey won’t make the cut, and perhaps only Stringfellow is in practice squad consideration, but Stringfellow had a beautiful 81-yard touchdown in the 1st half on a dime from Austin Davis, while Turner had 3 catches for 69 yards, and was unlucky not to get a TD himself on this incredible bomb by Alex McGough. On a night where there weren’t that many entertaining moments by the Seahawks offense, they certainly provided reason for the crowd to cheer.Austin CalitroI’ve neglected Calitro’s presence for far too long. He recorded a sack, seven tackles, and throughout preseason he’s shown good closing speed and an ability to pursue the ball effectively. Don’t be surprised if he’s earned a spot as a reserve middle linebacker.Shaquem GriffinThe rookie is expected to start in K.J. Wright’s place on opening day, and he was all over the field in the 1st half, racking up eight tackles (four of them solo). One of his better plays was preventing Chris Warren from turning up the sideline to get a third-down conversion in the 2nd quarter. There will be growing pains, but there are many non-sentimental reasons to be excited about Shaquem. Hopefully he kicks ass in Denver.LosersThe secondaryEven with almost nothing but backups in the game... you can’t let this happen. Off the top of my head, Delano Hill was at least partially culpable on two of those three touchdowns. Mike Tyson got scorched by the apparently unstoppable Keon Hatcher for his third touchdown. There were multiple blown coverages and missed tackles. It was really bad even by preseason standards. Pass rushManuel and Cook had all day to throw for the most part, and that didn’t make the secondary’s job any easier. Jacob Martin had a couple of “almost sacks” but the pressures were few and far between.Sebastian JanikowskiTwo missed extra points was Hauschka-esque. Under the current PAT distance Youth Will Dissly Jersey , Seabass had only missed three from 2015-2016. Both of his misses on Thursday were wide left. Thanks for providing some nervousness in the kicking game just in time for the regular season to start, Mr. Janikowski! We sure needed that.Amara DarbohPete Carroll said on Wednesday that Darboh would play on Thursday. He didn’t play, and he’s surely not here to stay after missing the entire preseason. I admit I vouched for drafting Darboh in 2017. There are many reasons why I’m not a scout.Cyril GraysonNot that he was ever in consideration to make the team, but he had at least one drop, a muffed punt, and a miscommunication on a deep ball thrown by Alex McGough. He’s also not a very good returner. It’s time to pull the plug on the Grayson experiment, meaning no practice squad for the former LSU track star.Michael DicksonI can’t believe he actually punted for a touchback. This is mindblowing to me. We might need to pump the brakes on Michael Dickson’s league MVP push if he’s going to actually show that he’s human. In a patently ugly game in Arizona, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Cardinals 20-17 on a last-second field goal to improve to 2-2. The result, and ending, were greatly overshadowed by Earl Thomas’s season-ending leg injury. Barring something unexpected, Thomas will join Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman as players who appeared in a Seahawks uniform for the final time in Glendale, Arizona. Also overshadowed in Sunday’s win were some points of interest stemming from Seattle’s snap counts against the Cardinals. Check out the team’s full snap counts here, and what stands out below:David Moore worked into the offenseAfter a promising preseason, Moore began the season well behind both Brandon Marshall and Jaron Brown in the wide receiver group. Marshall put together a few lackluster weeks, capped off with a drop-filled start against the Dallas Cowboys, which saw him lose snaps to Brown. In Week 4, both veteran additions were passed by Moore. The second-year receiver played a season-high 65% of the offense’s snaps, catching two passes for 39 yards. Moore’s day could’ve seemed a lot worse had it not been for a lucky bounce which saw a fumble return to his hands. Marshall was washed up in 2017 and is another year older in 2018, with two more surgeries behind him as well. Brown was never more than a part-time player in Arizona. Moore, a highly athletic, big-bodied receiver, should be seeing more snaps than Brown and Marshall. It took a month, but it appears the Seahawks finally see it that way. Doug Baldwin featured in his returnEven before going down with a second knee injury in Week 1 http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-michael-dickson-jersey , it appeared that Baldwin’s snaps were being managed by the team. Making a quicker return than expected in Week 4, it didn’t seem as though Seattle was concerned about pushing Baldwin. The team’s best offensive weapon played 76% of the offense’s snaps in his return, second to just Tyler Lockett among all wide receivers. Baldwin finished with five catches for 41 yards, and was at the center of a couple odds moments as the Seahawks continued to throw short of the sticks on third down. Expect Baldwin’s playing time to grow in the next couple weeks, as he slides back into his role as Seattle’s number one wide receiver. Frank Clark’s consistent playing timeNot only did Clark put together his best game of the season in Week 3, it was his busiest, as well. Eased in over the first two weeks as he recovered from offseason surgery, Clark played 77% of the defense’s snaps in Week 3. In Week 4, that figure was matched. As the Seahawks’ premier pass rusher, Clark should hover around the 80% range over the course of the season. It’s the perfect workload for a starter who also needs to remain fresh to impact the game on passing downs. If weeks three and four are any indication, Clark is exactly where he should be moving forward. Nazair Jones’ continued absence When the inactives were announced ahead of Seattle’s Week 1 game against the Broncos, Jones was a surprising inclusion. He was one of the better rookies for the Seahawks in 2017 and was expected to take on a greater role in 2018. Instead, he seems to have gone backwards. In Week 2, Jones played 12 snaps. In Week 3, six. In Week 4, Jones’ playtime grew to a grand total of eight snaps. A ninth was whistled dead when Jones was flagged for a neutral zone infraction. Making matters worse for Jones is that he’s seemingly been passed by UDFA Poona Ford, who was also inactive to begin the year. Ford played over twice the amount Jones did in Week 4, playing 28% of Seattle’s snaps. The defensive tackle group is a depleted position for the Seahawks in 2018, but Jones cannot crack a rotation he was a key part of in 2017. Now .500, Seattle returns home in Week 5 to face the buzz saw that is the Los Angeles Rams. With L.A. missing Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters still slowed by an injury, Moore will get a chance to continue his increased role against a depleted secondary, in a game that will surely see Russell Wilson dropping back to throw a lot.

Jets QB Davis Webb looked like a practice squad project in preseason As you probably know Womens Brandon Copeland Jersey , the Jets have a new developmental quarterback. Davis Webb was a third round pick of the Giants just last year. He was surprisingly waived last weekend and went unclaimed. The Jets signed him to their practice squad earlier in the week.I found myself curious about this situation. It isn’t every day that a team gives up on a day two pick after just one season. Even Christian Hackenberg got two seasons to try and prove he was worth something. Some Giants fans suggested this move was a power move by new general manager Dave Gettleman. Webb was drafted by the old general manager. Gettleman selected his own developmental quarterback this year, Kyle Lauletta. That made Webb obsolete for reasons that went beyond merit. Things like this do happen in the NFL. It wouldn’t be the first time a general manager made a move based on ego. Still, something didn’t seem right. Almost every team in the NFL is looking for talent at the quarterback position. Surely it reasoned that some team would be willing to give up a late round pick for somebody with potential at the most important position on the field. Webb was a third round pick just last year after all. The Giants ended up cutting him, however, indicating there was no trade interest.Even more strikingly, every other team then had a chance to claim Webb off waivers, acquiring him for nothing. Nobody did. Even though he was a guy who seemed to have potential on paper, not a single one of the 32 teams in the league was willing to offer him a spot on the 53 man roster. He ended up settling for a practice squad spot instead.I wanted to get to the bottom of this. The first place I looked was at Webb’s preseason stats, and boy they were ugly. Webb only completed 52.8% of his passes and averaged 5.3 yards per attempt. That’s brutal. Still, stats at the quarterback position don’t tell the whole story. Sam Darnold’s efficiency was just a hair better at 5.4 yards per attempt in the 2018 preseason. Yet when you went play by play with Darnold, there was a competency that the numbers didn’t show. Was Webb the victim of a similar misfortune? I decided to take a look at his preseason passing attempts. After doing that Womens Doug Middleton Jersey , I came to a simply conclusion. Webb is an enormous project who has a very, very long way to go if he ever wants to find success on the NFL level. He has a remedial grasp of some very basic elements of the quarterback position. Maybe Gettleman was influenced a bit by not wanting somebody else’s project on his team, but Webb made the decision easy by showing so little promise in the preseason.I’ll spare you being forced to watch all of the snaps, but I will take you through a few of the major issues I saw.Pocket CommandWebb has a pretty clean pocket on this play. There’s plenty of room for him to step up in the pocket.Instead he bails on the pocket for no reason and runs himself right into defenders who would been pushed out of the way had he hung tough. His pocket panic leads to a sack. Here you’ll see pressure off the edge, but Webb once again has plenty of room to step up in the pocket to try and find something down the field. Instead he sees pressure and dumps it off for a minimal gain. AccuracyA 52.8% completion percentage is ugly and indicative of extreme inaccuracy. To be certain, there were a number of open receivers whom Webb targeted with wildly inaccurate throws that fell incomplete. I could put together a video of Hackenbergian UFO’s from Webb’s 2018 preseason. But I want to point out something else. Poor accuracy doesn’t just lead to incompletions. It also leads to completions producing less than they should.Take this play near the end of the first half. The Giants were in field goal range and out of timeouts. They were looking for a quick completion to the sideline to get a little bit closer and stop the clock. Webb hits the pass, but it is not a well-placed football. The receiver has to slow down to adjust to it because the ball is a little behind him. This allowed a defender to get to him to make a tackle, which ran out the clock. If Webb’s pass had led the receiver, he could have caught it in stride and easily made it to the sideline to preserve the field goal attempt. This inaccurate throw led to a completion, but it cost the Giants a shot at three points. On this third down play, wide receiver Kalif Raymond wins and gets inside of the cornerback covering him. With a step on the cornerback Womens Neal Sterling Jersey , an accurate throw that led Raymond and hit him in stride probably would allow him to get to the sticks for a first down. Instead we again see a throw behind the receiver, which again gives the defender time to catch up and make the tackle. The placement is the difference between a fresh set of downs and a punt.Making ReadsOn this play, the Lions show a look presnap that suggests they will be in Cover 2 with a pair of defenders deep and five defenders in underneath zone. With three receivers lined up on the bottom of the picture and two defenders, Webb believes he will have the yellow guy open. However, after the snap the Lions roll into a Cover 3 with the two outside corners dropping into a deep zone and one of the safeties driving on the route Webb is looking at.Webb is fooled, and the result is an incompletion. That one isn’t necessarily the end of the world. A young quarterback is going to get fooled presnap by a disguised look a defense throws at him from time to time.Let’s look at another situation. This play call gives Webb a really simple read. Where he goes with the ball is determined by what the cornerback does in zone coverage. If the corner drives on the short route, the deeper receiver will be open.If he drops deep, the short pass will be open in the flat. The underneath receiver is obscured a bit by the graphic, but the corner here is clearly dropping to take the deep route.Webb ends up trying to force this ball into an impossibly tight window. The underneath guy was open. Mind you this was a first down play, and the Giants still had all three timeouts in the two minute drill. There wasn’t anything dictating that trying to force the deep ball was the right decision. The Surprising ConclusionBy now you are probably thinking that I don’t want Webb.I will be honest. Based on what I have seen, I think it is unlikely Webb will even amount to a decent NFL backup. I would say he is a pile of raw physical tools with very few of the necessarily skills to succeed at the quarterback position in the league developed. He also hasn’t shown much growth between last season and now Authentic Spencer Long Jersey , which is how you go from third round pick to practice squad so quickly. But that doesn’t mean I am against the addition of Webb to the practice squad at all. Webb might be a pile of raw physical tools, but a practice squad spot is the right investment for players of that profile. The purpose of the practice squad is to try and develop players with those raw tools, understanding it is probably a long-shot in most situations. It is a terrible idea to invest an early round Draft pick in a player like this the way the Giants did (or the way the Jets did with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg). Even though the Jets are paying Webb more than your typical practice squader, they have nothing to lose with this addition. They can walk away easily if Webb does not pan out. If he beats the odds andshows a surprising ability to develop, they could end up with a backup quarterback. I don’t need to explain how valuable that would be.It just should be noted that “project practice squader” is a more apt description for Webb at this point than “third round prospect.”New York Jets Flight Connections 09/4/18 Good morning, Gang Green Gangsters! The deal will extend his current contract by one year and will reduce his cap number this year by an as yet unreported amount. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported via Twitter:Liuget’s $8 million cap figure for 2018 had many people predicting a contract restructure or even a release. The odds of release had seemed to go up with the news that Liuget would be suspended for the first four games of the 2018 NFL regular season, but the team’s lack of depth along the defensive line made such a move less than ideal. It will be very interesting to see what the numbers are on this new deal given Liuget’s presumably reduced bargaining power. It will also be interesting to see what the Chargers do with their newly acquired cap room. Speaking of that lacking depth at defensive tackle...
HT: Things are looking up for the Broncos’ O-line

When the Denver Broncos selected Garett Bolles with the 20th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft Youth Matt Paradis Jersey , there was plenty of debate. Some fans thought the Broncos should have chosen Ryan Ramczyk or Cam Robinson instead. Other fans pounded the table for a defensive playmaker. It was a pretty controversial pick in Broncos Country. And unfortunately, Bolles’ rookie season did little to alleviate the controversy. Penalties & pass blocking issues overshadowed good run blocking for a Broncos fanbase that was not inclined to be patient. It was far from just Bolles, though. The Broncos did boast a Pro Bowl quality center & guard combo in Matt Paradis and Ron Leary, but Max Garcia had an awful season at left guard. And as for the right tackle position... well, the less said about that disaster, the better. Now, quite a bit has changed. The two biggest changes don’t even involve the offensive linemen directly:The Broncos let Brock Osweiler walk, traded Trevor Siemian away, and cut Paxton Lynch. On the flipside, they signed Case Keenum & promoted Chad Kelly. The Broncos fired offensive line coach Jeff Davidson. They replaced him with Chris Strausser, who they promoted from assistant o-line coach to Offensive Line-Tackles coach Youth Darian Stewart Jersey , and Sean Kugler. Kugler, the former head coach at the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP), is the Offensive Line-Guards/Centers coach. With better coaching & greatly improved QB play, the entire Broncos offensive line is, well, flourishing. Connor McGovern has stepped in across from Leary, with Garcia now a backup. And John Elway pulled off a heck of an offseason trade, bringing veteran offensive tackle Jared Veldheer in from the Arizona Cardinals for the low, low price of a 6th round pick. The results are speaking for themselves. Pro Football Focus has both Bolles & Veldheer among the top 25 offensive tackles in the NFL, and Paradis is among the best centers. Overall, they’re currently ranking the Broncos’ O-line as the 13th best in the NFL. That’s a huge step up from an abysmal 2017!But perhaps even more telling is Football Outsiders’ take on the Broncos’ offensive line: Adjusted Line Yards: 3rdPower Running Rank: 7thStuffed Rank: 15th2nd Level Rank: 9thOpen Field Rank: 5thPass Protection: 4thWith just 2 sacks allowed http://www.thebroncosfootballauthentic.com/domata-peko-jersey-authentic , the Broncos are allowing an Adjusted Sack Rate of just 3.0%. One thing to note: opponent adjustments aren’t factored in until after Week 4 due to sample size, so we’ll see where things stand then. For good measure, here’s how the Broncos rank on runs in each direction:Left End: 9thLeft Tackle: 31stMid/Guard: 9thRight Tackle: 8thRight End: 5thThe low rank on runs toward the Left Tackle is a bit concerning, but let’s add a bit of context: only 4% of the Broncos’ runs have been headed that way, so each individual play’s impact is magnified. And besides- there are a whole lot more single digit rankings up there to get excited about.Beyond just the stats, the offensive line’s progress has been clear to see for anyone watching the games. Success in the trenches is a big part of having a successful NFL offense, and the marked improvement in this area is helping turn one of the league’s worst 2017 offenses into one of its more intriguing 2018 units.Horse Tracks5 reasons Baker Mayfield’s 2-point conversion for the Browns was amazing - SBNation.comHe’s done this before ... at Oklahoma!Jets vs. Browns results: Baker Mayfield leads Cleveland to 21-17 win - SBNation.comThe Browns picked up a win and got a fantastic debut for Baker Mayfield against the Jets on Thursday. How the Browns beat the Jets to get their first win since 2016 - SBNation.comRookies Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward starred in the Browns’ first win since Robert Griffin III was the starter.Carlos Hyde rushes to hospital to welcome baby after helping Browns win - SBNation.comCarlos Hyde will soon be a new dad after the Browns beat the Jets on "Thursday Night Football."Browns fans open Bud Light fridges to celebrate a win with free beer - SBNation.comFree beer is free beer, and Clevelanders earned this one.The best reactions to the Browns’ win, 635 days in the making - SBNation.comLebron James, J.R. Can the Steelers earn their first win of the season against a surprising Buccaneers team? Falcons or Saints in Atlanta? Elliot Harrison picks every Week 3 game. You know the season is lost when you lose to the hapless New York Jets. That is what happened to the Denver Broncos on Sunday in a 34-16 defeat, and if the Jets are bad, what does that make Denver? The Broncos (2-3) might be worse than they were a season ago, and they were bad in 2017. Winners The Jets Unlike the Broncos, New York moved up in the NFL Draft and got its franchise quarterback in Sam Darnold. It’s fitting the Jets just beat Denver. The future looks bright for Gang Green. The same cannot be said about Broncos Country.Phillip Lindsay The Broncos rookie running back was pretty much the only player who shined on offense. He is fun to watch and will play a big role for this franchise in the foreseeable future.Adam Gotsis Hey, you have to try and find the positives at this point, and at least Denver’s defense created a turnover. Not only that, the offense turned that into a touchdown. At least the start was good. Too bad it derailed shortly after that.Losers Vance Joseph The time has come to fire him and move on. It’s easy to lose track of the number of embarrassing games he’s overseen as head coach Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , but Sunday against the Jets is the most recent. No more. Joe WoodsNo more. As is the case for Joseph, the time has come to move on. At least Wade Phillips will be in the building next Sunday to completely destroy the franchise that did him wrong.Garett Bolles Or is it Garett Holds? Either way, he leads the NFL in holding penalties and the issues that plagued him in his rookie season haven’t been fixed. The “bust” talk is only going to grow louder and louder. Denver’s offensive line Despite the success this unit has had in run blocking, it is putrid in pass protection. This unit has been bad over the Broncos’ three-game losing streak and now the Los Angeles Rams are up next. Case Keenum Keenum is a liability at this point, and it’s time to consider making the switch to Chad Kelly. Keenum has proven his success with the Minnesota Vikings last season was a fluke. Bradley Roby Holy shit, was he torched on Sunday. What else is there to say? He wasn’t alone, since the Frequent Flyer Zone was open for business against the Jets. Broncos run defenseHoly shit, was this unit torched on Sunday. What else is there to say? John Elway It’s been said that Denver’s legend has no Plan B. Never has that been more true since Peyton Manning retired. It’s clear at this point that Elway has no clue what he’s doing. And his franchise just shamed itself by being annihilated by a bad team that has a franchise quarterback. Whoops.

They drove into the red zone on each of their first three drives and new wideout Amari Cooper scored a touchdown, but those seven points were all they managed thanks to a missed field goal and an interception in t... In Week 5, the Seattle Seahawks played their best game of the season against the league’s best team. It still wasn’t enough, as the Seahawks fell to the Rams 33-31. Meanwhile, in Carson, California, Oakland Raiders fans flooded the StubHub Center and the “home” of the L.A. Chargers only to see their team lose 26-10, in a game that was not nearly as close as the score would indicate. Though people have been all too happy to write the 1-4 Raiders off as a bad football team—which they may be—they have had some promising moments. Oakland has started brightly in most of their games 12th Fan Jersey , and Jon Gruden’s game scripts are a big reason for this. Offensive and Defensive Primers Gruden’s return to the NFL was headlined by his apparent desire to bring it back to 1998. Like a lot of stuff that comes out of Gruden’s mouth in front of the media, that has proven to be untrue. Through five weeks, Gruden’s offense has at least resembled something close to a modern offense. He’s used multiple personnel groupings, utilized motion to scheme players open, and Keith Smith, the team’s fullback, has only played 15% of the offense’s snaps. Not quite what Gruden (perhaps with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek) sold in the offseason. Gruden’s roots are in the West Coast offense, having come up in Green Bay under Mike Holmgren. In the passing game, the focus is on quick throws (more on that later) and attacking up the seam. The biggest benefactor of this has been Jared Cook, who is on his way to career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns—more on him later, as well. Though Gruden once declared if he were to come back to the NFL, he would “never huddle again,” that hasn’t quite been the case. The Raiders sit around the middle of the pack in time of possession per drive (13th). On defense, Paul Guenther is in his first year as coordinator after serving in the same role for four years with the Bengals—and doing an admirable job. Obviously, Guenther was dealt about as devastating a blow as any coordinator could be when Khalil Mack was brainlessly traded just prior to the start of the season. And though Oakland has suffered as a result—they’re 31st in adjusted sack rate—Guenther has his defensive line one-gap and attack up field. Similar to Mike Zimmer, who preceded him in Cincinnati, Guenther loves to sugar the A-gaps with his linebackers and bring pressure up the middle. Seattle’s newfound stability inside with J.R. Sweezy, Justin Britt and D.J. Fluker will be important against Guenther’s defense. On the back end, Guenther’s defense is heavily rooted in zone coverage (cover-2), having used it on over 75% of plays in his final year with the Bengals. Numbers that Matter70: One of the most enjoyable parts of the season, at least for this writer, has been the slimmed down and motivated Marshawn Lynch. Having dropped back to 230 pounds after playing last year at 240, Lynch has played a central role for the Raiders through the first month of the season. At least while the game is close. Lynch has played 70 snaps while Oakland is either tied or in the lead, compared to 21 for Doug Martin and 10 for Jalen Richard in the same situation. When playing from behind, Lynch has played just 19 snaps, while Richard’s snaps increase to 23 and Martin’s drops to 10. Less than 10% of Lynch’s snaps in 2018 have come in the second half of games Authentic Jarran Reed Jersey , as his role has been made perfectly clear. As much as Gruden wants his team’s identity to be a punishing, running team that plays with a lead and wears teams down, their skill level hasn’t allowed for it. In what will surely be a bizarre and entirely wrong sight, expect Lynch to get a heavy workload in the first half against the Seahawks; if Seattle heads into the break ahead, don’t expect to see much of him at all afterwards. 14.8: Oh Derek Carr. He didn’t have to say anything, but when Lynch joined the Raiders in 2017, he couldn’t help himself. Infamously, Carr said he would give it to Lynch on the one-yard line, rather than throw it. But, shockingly, last week Carr threw it on the one-yard line, which resulted in a hideous interception. Carr’s interception against the Chargers was representative of a bigger issue in 2018. Since his rookie season, Carr’s red zone QBR has steadily dropped year-after-year, and so far this season it sits at an ugly 14.8. The interception he threw against L.A. was his second red zone pass intercepted this year, on 37 attempts. Despite Carr’s struggles in the red zone, if they’re playing from behind on Sunday, they may have no choice but to put the ball in the air with Lynch remaining on the sideline. 151.6: In last week’s Friday Rundown, we finally discussed Russell Wilson’s play-action excellence in 2018. Two days later, Wilson was again excellent off play-action, though it remained underused in the Seahawks’ offense. Regardless of the situation on Sunday, play-action would be hugely helpful in slowing down a defensive front that will consistently try to knife through gaps and attack. 87.5: Returning from injury in Week 5, Chris Carson was excellent against the Rams, rushing for 116 yards on over six yards per carry. Carson’s performance was simply the latest in what has been an extremely consistent season. Of Carson’s 64 carries on the season, 56 have gained positive yardage. 87.5% of carries resulting in a gain is the second-highest mark in the league among backs with 50 or more carries (Kerryon Johnson leads the NFL at 88%). Now, Carson will face an Oakland defense allowing the fifth most rushing yards per game. Additionally, the Raiders are 24th both in run defense by DVOA, and in yards from scrimmage per game allowed to the position. Once again Carson will be leaned on by Pete Carroll and Seattle Youth Nick Vannett Jersey , and this time it will be against one of the league’s weakest run defenses. Matchups to WatchDerek Carr versus pressure: Just over a year ago, Carr suffered a fracture in his vertebrae and missed one game before returning. However, the impact of the injury remains an issue for Carr. Since returning, Carr has appeared skittish in the pocket and avoids contact at all costs. When pressured, Carr has a passer rating of 31.9, the fifth lowest in the NFL. Against the blitz, Carr’s passer rating is fifth bottom as well, at a better-but-still-bad 66.8. Any hint of pressure will lead to Carr making poor decisions, or simply throwing it away in an ugly manner. Through five weeks, Carr and Oakland are third in the NFL in passes of five yards or less. Some of that is a product of Gruden’s offense, but some of it comes down to Carr forcing the ball out quickly. Among quarterbacks who have started multiple games in 2018, Carr has the fourth quickest time to throw. If the Seahawks can create pressure—or even the allusion of pressure—on Sunday against the Raiders, they can force Carr into making bad decisions. Or, at the very least, he’ll simply throw a duck into the sideline. Jared Cook versus Seattle’s middle of field defense: As previously mentioned, Cook has been one of the biggest benefactors of Gruden’s return to coaching. Cook’s importance to the offense was made immediately known in Week 1, when he put together a ridiculous 180-yard game against the Rams. As the season has gone on, Gruden and Oakland have continued to lean on Cook and their tight ends. After five games, 26.69% of the Raiders’ passing yards have gone to tight ends. That’s the ninth highest mark in the NFL, and well above the league’s average (20.64%). Oakland targets the middle of the field often and as a result, Cook’s production has ballooned. His 41 targets is fourth among tight ends in the league. The Seahawks, meanwhile, have fixed the tight end issues that have plagued them in recent seasons. Some of it can be credited to their use of big nickel packages early in the season, and, well, they haven’t exactly faced elite tight ends: Jeff Heuerman, Trey Burton 4Justin Britt Jersey , Geoff Swaim, Ricky Seals-Jones and Tyler Higbee. On the season, Seattle’s allowed 17.76% of their receptions to tight ends—11th in the NFL and about 3% lower than the league average. Though Cook isn’t a particularly strong test, his role in the Raiders’ offense will test the Seahawks’ defense. He will be targeted, but Seattle should be up to the test. Opponent to KnowBrandon Parker, RT: Parker, a third round pick out of North Carolina AT&T by Oakland in this past spring’s draft, made his first career start last week. The Raiders’ plan to redshirt Parker in 2018 had to be scrapped when Donald Penn was lost for the season, and Parker’s debut showed why they wanted to sit him as a rookie, giving up two pressures, a QB hit and being flagged for a false start. However, Parker was one of my favorite offensive linemen at the Senior Bowl, and someone I thought the Seahawks may target—my pro comparison for him was Duane Brown. Parker is an absolute mountain of a man and technically sound as a pass blocker, though prone to losing against inside counter-moves. He’s extremely powerful as a run blocker, and the biggest question surrounding him as a prospect was his level of competition. As high as I am on Parker’s pro prospects, there is of course a possibility he is a disaster against Seattle. After all, he is a rookie tackle making his second career start. Our own Mookie Alexander already covered the favorable matchup the Seahawks’ defense finds itself in against a depleted Oakland offensive line. At the same time, don’t be surprised to see an enormous No. 75 engulfing Seattle pass rushers on a few snaps, either. The Seahawks, regardless of their perceived struggles this season, are much better than the Raiders. However, games in London often lead to bizarre results. Seattle’s Week 6 matchup is a difficult one to read, but the Seahawks should be expected to get back to .500 (and 1-0 in England!) this week.
