Sandip Sarkar. . 'Khirki Theke Shindhu Duyar'is the story of an ambitious girl Rai. Rai was passionate about dance and wanted to open a dance school which would be famous. She ran a dance academy with Rupankar and dream of starting a bigger school. But, her father was against this. He wanted her to take up a government job. After her father's death she marries Rupankar and they've a son Kuttus. As they're going through financial crisis Rai is offered the job that her father had applied for. But she can get the job only if she's divorced, widow or unmarried. She gets a mutual divorce from her husband and takes up the job. Her boss Pritam Sharma is a widower. Rai starts taking care of his son. Pritam decides to marry Rai. As he goes to propose her he finds out her truth and forcefully tries to marry her. Rai accidentally kills him.
