Will Giants end up with higher draft pick than 49ers? The New York Giants were thumped in Week 6 Laken Tomlinson Jersey , losing 34-13 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Rookie running back Saquon Barkley is looking like the real deal, but there are few other positives about the team. Odell Beckham Jr. remains an incredibly talented receiver, but Eli Manning is dragging this team down in a big way.The Giants dropped to 1-5 with the loss, and until Sunday, have the worst record in the NFL. Entering the week, the Giants were tied with the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts. Prior to TNF, Football Outsiders listed the Cardinals with the best odds for the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, followed by the 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Raiders, and then Giants. FO’s odds use a variety of factors and simulations.Meanwhile, the folks at MyBookie are offering a 49ers-specific look at the draft order. Entering TNF, they presented the wager, “Which team will record the better record by the end of the 2018 NFL Regular Season?” The Giants were a slim favorite at -125, with the 49ers at -105. That line will change with the Giants loss and then whatever happens on Monday for the 49ers.The 49ers and Giants square off on Monday Night Football in Week 10. The 49ers have their bye after the game, while the Giants play the game coming off their bye. Since it is on Monday, the game cannot be flexed out of primetime. It’s a shaky contest with Jimmy Garoppolo hurt and Eli Manning playing with a fork sticking out of his back, but there is tremendous potential value in draft pick projections. The 1-5 Giants travel to Atlanta next week and then host Washington before their bye. I don’t think anybody would be surprised to see New York sitting at 1-7 for this game, although I think they beat Washington and are 2-6.Meanwhile, the 1-4 49ers travel to Green Bay this weekend, host the Los Angeles Rams Dee Ford Jersey , travel to Arizona, and host Oakland. They likely lose the next two games to drop to 1-6, but Oakland and Arizona are toss-ups at this point. Yes, the 49ers lost at home to Arizona last week, but given how that game played out, the game in Glendale is very winnable. I think there’s a decent chance they’re 3-6, but this team is proving things could go south in a hurry. The team also confirmed the signing of former Rice RB Austin Walter"The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed LB LaRoy Reynolds to a one-year deal. The team also confirmed the signing of former Rice running back Austin Walter. To get back to a 90-man roster, the 49ers waived defensive lineman Ryan Delaire in a corresponding move. Delaire was originally signed to the 49ers practice squad on September 26, 2018 and was promoted to San Francisco’s active roster on October 6, 2018. He appeared in one game prior to being waived on October 15. Delaire re-signed to the team’s practice squad on October 17 and was promoted to the active roster on December 29, 2018.We spoke about Walter yesterday. Here’s the press release from the team on Reynolds:Reynolds (6-1, 240) originally signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2013. Over the past six seasons with the Jaguars (2013-15), Chicago Bears (2015), Atlanta Falcons (2016-17) and Philadelphia Eagles (2018), he has appeared in 84 games (seven starts) and registered 59 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one pass defensed on defense to go along with 43 tackles and two fumble recoveries on special teams. He also appeared in seven career postseason contests and registered one tackle on defense as well as four tackles and two fumble recoveries on special teams. In 2018 with Philadelphia, he appeared in all 16 games and ranked second on the team with nine tackles on special teams. He also appeared in two postseason games and registered one tackle on both defense and special teams. A 28-year-old native of Norfolk, VA, Reynolds spent four seasons (2009-12) at the University of Virginia. With the Cavaliers, he appeared in 45 games and earned All-ACC Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2012 after finishing with 90 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, four passes defensed and 1.0 sack.

Womens Jerry Hughes Jersey

After being declared the starter following training camp and playing the first nine games of the season Womens Jerry Hughes Jersey , Buffalo Bills left guard Vlad Ducasse was unceremoniously relegated to the bench after losing his spot to rookie fifth-rounder Wyatt Teller. In the final year of his three-year contract with the team, it’s likely that general manager Brandon Beane chooses to move on from the nine-year veteran. If so, the team may look to Teller to fully replace him, or they could look towards the draft in search of an upgrade; and they have a hole at right guard, where John Miller is a free agent.Tier ICody Ford (Oklahoma) Michael Deiter (Wisconsin)Dalton Risner (Kansas State) Ford has spent his entire career at right tackle, but his overwhelming athleticism and strength make it easy to project him inside. He has elite movement skills and long arms and is worthy of a first-round pick. As mentioned in a previous article, Deiter can play all over the offensive line, and is a tough, aggressive blocker. He specializes in earning movement in the run game and paying the iron price. Another player who spent his entire career at tackle, Risner is a projection, but he clearly possesses the strength and quickness to play guard and play it well.Tier IIChris Lindstrom (Boston College) Beau Benzschawel (Wisconsin)Connor McGovern (Penn State)Michael Jordan (Ohio State)Garrett Brumfield (LSU)Lindstrom has spent his career playing guard in Boston College’s run-heavy, play action scheme, but he may struggle adjusting to one that requires more pass blocking. Benzschawel’s scouting report reads similarly to John Miller’s: strength at the point of attack, but not flexible or mobile at all. A player who wins with quickness and leverage is McGovern, who would fit nicely into a zone scheme. Jordan has the look of an offensive lineman and his ceiling is high, but he’s raw and needs major development before he can begin to reach that ceiling. You have to love Brumfield’s mentality to dominate on the field—it’s just unfortunate that he gets so lazy and sloppy in pass protection.Tier IIIRyan Bates (Penn State)Dru Samia (Oklahoma)Ben Powers (Oklahoma)Bates was stuck playing tackle (poorly) the past year, so a move back to guard may be in the cards for him. His footwork is about what you’d expect from a tackle http://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-eddie-yarbrough-jersey , but sadly his anchor against bigger tackles is as well. Samia looks great when moving, pinning and blocking at the second level. But if asked to block one-on-one, as he recently was against Alabama, he struggles. Powers is almost the same way, but he doesn’t move nearly as well as Samia. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Kyle Williams knows he’s more than capable of returning for a 14th season. What the Buffalo Bills defensive tackle wasn’t sure he can handle is spending another spring and summer of practice and training camp watching his children play T-ball and soccer on FaceTime. The lure of being with his family overcame Williams’ passion for football in announcing Friday that he’s retiring after Buffalo (5-10) closes its season hosting Miami (7-8) on Sunday.“I love team. I love competing. But at the end of the day, it comes down to what are the most important things,” the 35-year-old Williams said following practice. That still didn’t make it easy for Buffalo’s longest-active tenured player who established himself as a respected leader and fan favorite for his lunch-bucket approach in a blue-collar community.“I don’t know if there’s ever a good time, whether it’s now or whether it’s two years from now. It’s going to hurt walking away,” Williams said. “There’s going to be a void in my life because of how much this game and how much this organization and what this team has meant to me.”And yet, Williams is pleased to be leaving football on his own terms in being healthy and showing no signs of a drop in production. What he’s most proud of is having spent his entire career in Buffalo, while also proving wrong the skeptics who questioned whether the 6-foot-1, 300-pound player was too small to succeed at the NFL level after the Bills selected him in the fifth round of the draft out of LSU.“I think the hardest thing for me is going to be … walking away from something that they said I couldn’t do,” Williams said. “I think the main thing was that I never cheated anybody a day, whether it’s our fans, our owners, my teammates. I literally gave all I had every day. And I’m comfortable knowing that and moving forward here.”Williams was a second-team All-Pro in 2010 and earned five Pro Bowl selections. He’s a Pro Bowl alternate this year Ramon Humber Jersey , and welcomed the chance to compete if the opportunity came up to represent the Bills for one last time.Williams made up his mind to retire upon informing his wife a few weeks ago, before breaking the news to coach Sean McDermott on Monday.McDermott joked by calling the news “the worst Christmas present a man could get.”The coach then went on to praise Williams for what he’s meant to the Bills both on and off the field.“We need more Kyle Williams, although they’re hard to find,” McDermott said. “You can’t replace a guy like Kyle. They come around once in a career.”Williams became McDermott’s voice in the locker room, and served as mentor for the numerous youngsters Buffalo added this offseason.Williams’ influence even extended to offensive players, such as running back LeSean McCoy, who referred to the defensive tackle as one of the better leaders he’s ever been around.“Solid career. He’s a guy that likes to go against the odds. I like him, man, I like his hard work,” McCoy said. “When I came here, I realized that type of play and attitude is what Buffalo is all about.”Even opponents paid tribute with the New England Patriots posting a note on their Twitter account, which read, “Nothing but respect.” The post was accompanied by a video of Williams and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady shaking hands following New England’s 25-6 victory at Buffalo on Oct. 29.Williams’ retirement creates a large void for the Bills both on and off the field. And it comes 11 months after Buffalo lost another influential leader, when center Eric Wood was forced to retire after sustaining a career-ending neck injury.Out of 954 defensive plays through 15 games, Williams is second among Bills defensive linemen in playing 621 of them — four fewer than pass-rusher Jerry Hughes. Williams has five sacks, his most since having 5 1/2 in 2014, and has already surpassed last year’s totals with 13 quarterback hits and five tackles for losses.Overall Womens Dion Dawkins Jersey , he has 48 1/2 sacks, 139 quarterback hits and 92 tackles for losses in 182 career games. He also scored on a one-yard touchdown run in a 22-16 win at Miami in last season’s finale, which, combined with Baltimore’s loss to Cincinnati, led to Buffalo clinching a playoff berth and ending a 17-year postseason drought.Williams’ favorite moment was following being with his teammates in the locker room following the win, and watching Cincinnati eliminate Baltimore from contention on Andy Dalton’s 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd on fourth down in the final minute. What made the moment extra special was how Williams enjoying the moment with his two sons.“They were pretty young, but I hope they’ll remember that forever, because their dad won’t forget,” he said.Williams has no firm plans on what he’ll do next, while saying he’s had a discussion with McDermott about a possible role with the team.Though the Bills have taken a step back this season, Williams believes the team is headed in the right direction under McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane, and their vision to build through youth.“That’s what makes it tough moving away, because of the direction we’re moving, the young guys we have,” Williams said. “Just know that I’m always going to be a Buffalo Bill, and the main thing for those guys is they’ve got all my support.”

The Giants signed Tanney as a part of their 2018 free agency period to be a veteran presence and another arm to keep Eli Manning from being over-worked in the run-up to the 2018 season. Ultimately, the Giants opted to release second-year quarterback Davis Webb and Tanney spent most of 2019 as Eli Manning’s primary back-up. Tanney took a step down the depth chart as the Giants sought to get a look at rookie QB Kyle Lauletta Doug Kotar Jerseys 2019 , but retook his job by the end of the season. Tanney is a good player to have in the quarterback room and head coach Pat Shurmur has stated that he prefers to carry four quarterbacks on the roster through training camp. The Giants are thought to be looking for an heir to Eli Manning, but the decision to re-sign Tanney shouldn’t figure in their plans to draft (or not draft) a quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft. NJ.com is also reporting that Kyle Lauletta had “minor” knee surgery this offseason, which could have factored into the decision. With OTAs coming up in the spring White Harry Carson Jerseys , the Giants likely want to be sure they have enough quarterbacks to properly run their workouts.
The Miami Dolphins' undefeated start to the season

came with some early excitement heading into their matchup at New England. That buzz went flat again — in a familiar place — following Miami's lopsided 38-7 loss to their AFC East rivals .The Dolphins (3-1) were looking to improve to 4- 0 for the first time since 1995 — Hall of Fame coach Don Shula's final season.Instead Infant Chase Winovich Jersey , they were humbled in every phase during Sunday's dizzying setback.Ryan Tannehill had been a steadying presence for the Dolphins' offense during the first three weeks of the season, completing 73 percent of his passes for seven touchdowns with just two interceptions, improving to 10-1 over 11 starts in that span. But he regressed against the Patriots (2-2), looking every bit like the quarterback that is now 0-6 in games at Foxborough.Tannehill finished 11 for 20 for 100 yards and an interception. He was pulled in the fourth quarter in favor of Brock Osweiler. Osweiler connected with Frank Gore for a 6-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for Miami's lone score."Not a lot went right for us. It's tough to say one thing at this point because we didn't really execute any part of the game plan that we wanted to," Tannehill said. "To say one thing is going to be difficult this time, and I don't think it will ever be one thing."In his six losses at New England, he has just 837 passing yards, four TDs and two INTs.With Tannehill ineffective, the offense struggled to make first downs. It went 3 for 11 on third down while managing just 172 yards."We didn't come out and start the game like we wanted to," Tannehill said. "We didn't convert on third down, we didn't take care of the football, we didn't gain yardage. We didn't do anything we wanted to, so lot of work to do."Miami also relapsed to a team prone to self-inflicted wounds Chase Winovich Jersey Draft , amassing 10 penalties for 89 yards. Last season the Dolphins' offense led the league in penalties (65) and penalty yards (553).As bad as it looked, running back Kenyan Drake said it was just a shot to the system and not something they can't bounce back from."We're in a good seat," Drake said. I mean, this loss hurts. You know, we wanted to definitely get a 'W,' but we're looking to get things rolling in the other quarter (of the season). So, the thing is we've got to get those things corrected."FINDING POSITIVESIf there was one positive takeaway from Sunday's loss, it might have come on the defensive side of the ball. The Dolphins managed to pick off quarterback Tom Brady twice. Cornerback Bobby McCain snared one on Brady's deep, third down pass over the middle in the first quarter. It was Brady's third interception of the season. He didn't throw his third interception last season until Week 11 against Miami. Minkah Fitzpatrick got the other in the fourth quarter .It marked the Miami defense's ninth interception this season. It had nine all last season. It's why Miami linebacker Kiko Alonso said there is still plenty to be excited about in their locker room going forward."Although it was ugly, it is just one loss," Alonso said. "We are on to Cincinnati and obviously we have to get better."NOT CLOSEThe Dolphins entered the day having won all three of their games this season by one score or less — amassing a record of 16-5 under coach Adam Gase. They are 3-13 in games decided by more than one score.INJURY UPDATEMiami was already down a safety with Reshad Jones sitting out Sunday's game with a shoulder injury.Add cornerback Bobby McCain to the list of players on the mend after he left the loss with a knee injury. Dolphins center Daniel Kilgore also left the game in the first half with an arm injury.Gase didn't have an update on the severity of McCain's ailment."Obviously him not coming back into the game wasn't a really great sign," Gase said.Follow Kyle Hightower on Twitter at ://khightower As great of a player as he was, Gronk may have been a better teammate."I know that Tom Brady is the GOAT Chase Winovich NFL Jersey , but I think people love Rob Gronkowski just as much, if not more. He’s just such a meat head, but also has such a kind heart. Every time you saw him, he was always smiling and laughing. He also gave back more to the community than any player I’ve ever seen. Seemed like he was always at the hospital, not having surgeries, but visiting sick kids and making their days brighter. He’s going to be missed probably more than I can put into words, but, position-wise, he’s as good as Brady: by far the best tight end to ever play in the league, and maybe the most complete skill position player of all time. I don’t know if I could pull out a singular moment from his career, but, at least once a game, he would do something that would make you look at the person next to you and say “How the hell did he do that?”The catch in the corner against the Broncos Chase Winovich NFL Draft , the one handed reception at the goal line against the Broncos, dragging six Redskins 40 yards, and a million other plays. He also stepped up in the biggest moments, making two insane catches in Denver in the 2015 playoffs, both on fourth down, the touchdown against the Seahawks, and the catches this year against the Chiefs and Rams. There’s no one else I would rather throw the ball to with the game on the line. The Patriots have always been able to overcome the personnel losses they have had without skipping a beat. I would imagine things might be different this year. It’s not that they won’t be good, it’s that Gronkowski is literally impossible to replace. He was a once in a generation talent, and a once in a generation personality. That’s one underrated thing about Gronk: everyone loved him.New England is a tough place to play, and you need guys who can lighten the mood and make everyone laugh. Gronk has always been that type of guy, and that will be sorely missed in the locker room. There will be other great tight ends, it’s even possible that the Patriots could draft one next month, but there will never be another Gronk. He blocked like a third offensive tackle Chase Winovich Buffalo Bills Jersey , and was a matchup nightmare on every pass play. My assumption is that the Patriots know that, and won’t try to replace him with just one player. Whatever their answer is, they have a lot of work to do. They have minimal depth at the wide receiver position, and even less at tight end. Helping put Tom Brady in a position to win a seventh ring should be the only priority right now. Of course, Gronk’s agent insinuated a simple phone call mid season might be able to sway him back to the team. After all, who can say no to Tom Brady? At the end of the day, it’s hard to feel anything but happiness for Gronk, though. He gave everything he had to the Patriots for nine years, and, even when his body failed him, he stepped up and put everything on the line for his team. Knowing the shape that his back was in, and that he was playing through an injury at the end of last season, it’s no surprise that he walked away now.If he is Color Rush Chase Winovich Jersey , in fact, done playing football, he went out on just about the highest of notes possible: not only did the Patriots win the Super Bowl, but he had two of the biggest plays of the postseason in two huge moments. As good as Gronk was, he never had that signature play to win them a playoff game or a Super Bowl. He got both of those this postseason. The Chiefs play was just pure physical domination against one of the premier safeties in the league. Then, against the Rams, it was the mix of a perfect throw and an amazing catch. Those two plays will serve as the icing to an already impressive cake. Patriots fans will miss Gronk, although I’m sure we’ll see him around. Any time I’m missing him, I’m going to imagine him making jokes about a specific number and spiking random household items. That will be sure to leave me with a smile on my face, which isn’t surprising, because that’s what always seems to happen when Gronk is around. After we do that tonight, we鈥檒l decide and move on from there. That鈥檚 how we do it and I believe in our process.”In his own press conference, Monken called Koetter the “best offensive coach I’ve ever been around” and said he came to work with the Buccaneers to be around him. We’ll find out how much coaching Monken will be able to watch Koetter doing on Sunday. It’s the game we’ve all been waiting for. Well Chandler Catanzaro Jersey , obviously it would be much better with the Buccaneers preparing to play the Patriots, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers must get back to the playoffs first before thinking about a Super Bowl. Regardless, every NFL fan around the world loves filling up on unhealthy snack foods throughout the day and this year, we get Tony Romo on the call. What could be better?Unlike Tampa Bay, who has 1 playoff appearance in the last 11 seasons, the New England Patriots will be playing in their 9th Super Bowl under the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era. It’s truly an incredible accomplishment what these two have done together and they will look to win their sixth Super Bowl come Sunday, in Atlanta The Los Angeles Rams on the other hand are led by young offensive minded Sean McVay and Jared Goff. The Rams have been one of the better teams over the last two seasons and have tons of talent on both sides of the football. This will be the first Super Bowl appearance for both John Lynch Jersey , but coming off a huge road win against the New Orleans Saints, anything is possible.
The Buffalo Bills offensive line was not very good in 2018.

In the middle of that underwhelming group Taron Johnson Jerseys Stitched , the center position was a flip-flop of sorts and is even more wide open heading into 2019.Ryan Groy opened the year snapping the ball, but was replaced after a couple games by free-agent signee Russell Bodine, who had started every game for four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Bodine settled into his role and outperformed Groy until a leg injury forced Groy back into the starting lineup.Heading into 2019, Groy is a free agent and Bodine should be recovered from his broken leg. But did he do a good enough job to hang onto his starting role, or even a roster spot, in 2019?All-22 Analysis(Read the full article with GIF analysis by Jeff Kantrowski aka Skarekrow)Russell Bodine played a pretty competent brand of football in his first year with the Buffalo Bills. Never dominating in the trenches, Bodine was rarely a liability either. It was common to see Bodine helping out his guards with blocks and at times looked like the best protector for Buffalo. With Bodine at center, Buffalo is unlikely to establish a power running game without some true maulers to flank him. A more finesse and speed based game should be an easier style to get going with Bodine and require less overhaul around him (though it would still need some).Upon review, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Bodine was not the dumpster fire that was commonly portrayed. One facet of his game that seemed like a strength was move blocking. Bodine is a player who will always be described in context of his surrounding talent. As the Cincinnati weak link there seemed to be some unease in allowing Bodine to take on defenders by himself, with schemes seeming to limit his exposure. In Buffalo he is most assuredly not the weak link and often took on defenders by his lonesome. Bodine isn’t manhandled but he’s not winning either. As a power lineman, there’s much to be desired. On the other hand, it could be quite a bit worse and as they say “practice makes better.” With more exposure to one-on-ones in Buffalo, Bodine seems to have improved from his Bengals days that gave me the impression he was a consistent liability. It’s widely expected that the Buffalo Bills will seek to improve the offensive line this off-season and Russell Bodine shouldn’t be considered safe. Time and energy are finite resources. There are several positions I’d allocate more into fixing than center and if using a strictly triage-based strategy there’s at least three spots on the offensive line I look at before hitting Bodine’s name. That’s not how the NFL tends to work though. With general manager Brandon Beane likely scouring all available players at all positions, there’s no compelling reason not to sign an upgrade if one falls into their lap.Salary Cap Numbers(Read the full article by Dylan Zadanowicz)After losing Eric Wood to retirement, the Bills signed Bodine to a two-year Adolphus Washington Jerseys 2019 , $5-million-dollar deal. Bodine’s signing was a low-end signing to fill an immediate need on the offensive line.Bodine is entering the final year of his contract and unless the Bills miss out of signing a top-tier center in free agency, like Matt Paradis of the Denver Broncos, the savings of cutting him isn’t substantial for a team with over $80 million in cap space.Bodine’s 2019 salary cap detail via Spotrac: Note: OverTheCap and Spotrac differ slightly on bonus amounts2019 cap hit: $2.8 millionRoster bonus: $206,244Workout bonus: $200,000Salary due: $1.9 millionDead money from signing bonus: $500,000Cap savings: $2.3 million if released before workout bonus is earnedIn-house replacement options(Read the entire article from John Boccacino here)Bodine, who is set to be Buffalo’s most expensive offensive lineman in 2019, does have a decent in-house replacement waiting in the wings should the team release Bodine. The only problem? That candidate, Groy, who is considered a versatile swingman who can line up at guard or under center, is an unrestricted free agent. The results weren’t what the Bills were hoping for out of Groy, who ranked 37th out of 39 qualifying centers with a 46.7 grade according to PFF. Groy allowed three quarterback hits and eight hurries. The only other option is Jeremiah Sirles, who just signed a one-year contract for the veteran minimum to stay in Buffalo in 2019. In 2017 he started a couple games for the Minnesota Vikings at center, but hasn’t played the position in Buffalo. He was underwhelming during his 138 offensive snaps in 2018.Free-Agent replacement options(Read the entire article from Sean Murphy)Matt ParadisThe top option is the 29-year-old Paradis, who played for the Denver Broncos this season. A sixth-round draft pick of the Broncos in 2014 http://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-doug-flutie-jersey , he has developed into one of the league’s top centers. PFF graded him at a 79 this year, the second-best grade of any center in the league. Like Bodine, Paradis had his season cut short due to a broken leg, as he was placed on injured reserve following Denver’s ninth game.Mitch MorseThe pivot-man on the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line is the youngest of our three top targets at 26 years old. He is coming off a solid season in a high-flying offense—PFF graded him at 69.5, 13th among centers—and he has started 49 games over the last 4 seasons at center. Morse is gigantic for a center, standing at 6’6” inches tall. He committed 4 penalties this season (3 holds and a false start), and he did not allow a sack.Ryan KalilFulfilling our requirement to speculate on players currently employed by the Carolina Panthers brings us to Kalil, a solid veteran who is nearing the end of his career. At 34 years of age, Buffalo would have to think that he has at least one or two more years left to make this worthwhile. For Kalil, he’d have to think one of two things: either Buffalo is close to competing, or he wants to be somewhere comfortable thanks to his familiarity with head coach Sean McDermott and Beane from their shared time in Carolina. Kalil graded out at 63.6, according to PFF, which was right in the middle of the league’s centers in 2018. Kalil is a free agent, but announced before the 2018 season he was planning on calling it a career, so it’s probably a no-go.Ryan GroyConsider the Bills could re-sign Groy in this scenario White Frank Gore Jerseys , as well.NFL Draft replacement options(Read the entire article by Andrew Griffin)Tier IElgton Jenkins (Mississippi State)Garrett Bradbury (NC State)Michael Deiter (Wisconsin)Dalton Risner (Kansas State)While none of these three are projected first rounders, each of them can be plug-and-play starters. It’s a good mix here at the top, with all four bringing something slightly different to the table. (Full analysis here)Tier IIChris Lindstrom (Boston College) Erik McCoy (Texas A&M)Lamont Gaillard (Georgia)There’s a significant step down to this second tier. The trio of players listed are likely to be late Day-Two or early Day-Three picks, who will be best served competing for a chance to become starters.Tier IIIRoss Pierschbacher (Alabama)Jesse Burkett (Stanford)Nick Allegretti (Illinois)Tier III players will be late round picks, if they are drafted at all. Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY SportsSo now it’s your turn to weigh in. What should the Bills do at the center position this offseason? Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips wasn’t exactly crushed by the decision of the Miami Dolphins to release him in October.Phillips took to instagram after his release saying he was “free at last, free at last” to be jettisoned from Miami. He continued on to say he wished nothing bad toward his former teammates, but “I couldn’t be happier to be out of there.”Phillips is looking to channel those feelings into Sunday’s meeting between the Bills and Dolphins in Miami.“Most people that leave Miami, that’s really when their career gets started,” Phillips said, via Steven Wine of the Associated Press. “Things have definitely turned around since I’ve been here. Fans love me. My teammates love me.”Phillips didn’t specify the exact targets of his frustration toward the Dolphins. However, he vowed to make any points he had to make in the game on Sunday.“Whoever has something coming to them is going to get it on Sunday,” he said.Phillips was a second round pick of the Dolphins in 2015. He has appeared in seven games for Buffalo after being claimed off waivers, recording 11 tackles with two passes defended.

Good morning Will Hernandez Jerseys Stitched , New York Giants fans! Another game, another loss for the Giants on Monday night, this one by a 23-20 score to the Atlanta Falcons. The Giants are 1-6 for a second straight year, and we should be used to this by now. Let’s go inside the locker room and see what Giants players were saying after their latest disappointment.Quarterback Eli ManningOn the failed fourth-down play in the first half where he chose not to throw to Odell Beckham Jr. ...“Just a little a bootleg moment. Looked back and thought maybe I could get it to Odell [Beckham Jr.], see if he could get it and make some ground but obviously, we had some other guys coming across that could work for me but that’s who I was looking at.”On the failed quarterback sneaks in the final minute ...“We’ve been pretty good with the sneaks all year. In that scenario Youth Lorenzo Carter Jerseys , we tried to surprise them and just get that one-yard with the sneak. We just didn’t have success with it.”On being 1-6 for a second straight season ...“I’m not worried about years in a row. Just shocked to be here again this year. The way we work and the players we have, I’m honestly disappointed but that’s what happens when you don’t play to the caliber that we can and we’re not doing that.”Other playersOdell Beckham Jr. on moving forward at 1-6 ...“I think that’ll be the true test of your character, the grit, the determination. The ultimate measure of a man is how he stands in moments of challenge and controversy. Who you are when things are going well is not a true testament to your character. It’s when times are like this. I hate saying this, but we’ve just got to keep working and just got to keep fighting. You’ve got to keep your hard hat on and keep digging. You never know how close you are unless you stop digging. That’s all we can do. We put ourselves in a hole. Dig yourself out.”Evan Engram, also on being 1-6 ...“We’re in this. We can’t go anywhere. We can’t just quit on the season. It’s definitely somewhere we don’t want to be Lorenzo Carter Jerseys Stitched , but we’ve got to keep working. We have no choice.“We know we have talent. We’re doing things. We’re just not putting the big picture together. That’s what’s frustrating. Like I said, we’re in it and can’t go anywhere. We’re just going to keep working, and it will eventually pop.”Center Spencer Pulley on his first start ...“Obviously, it wasn’t good enough. We didn’t play good enough to get the win, but we did some good things. Obviously, we did some bad things. We will have to watch the film to see what was going on. The run game has obviously got to be better Youth B.J. Hill Jerseys , and that’s something we got to work on. We need to be more in sync as an offensive line, I think. That’s something we’re going to have to watch and learn as a group.”Cornerback Janoris Jenkins on the 47-yard touchdown pass he gave up ...“We had a roll coverage. We were playing where the safety pops out to the corner, and I pop out to the half. They ran a corner-post and threw it to the far hash and caught the ball.“I think I have to stay further inside, but it was just a good play call by them. I got to do better on my end and just move forward.” Let’s check your Monday headlines"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections New York Giants NewsGiants Training Camp 2016Giants vs. Eagles 2015, Week 17New York Giants NewsGiants news, 4/29: The Daniel Jones debate has only just begunNew <a title="B.J.

Happy Sunday http://www.giantslockerroom.com/authentic-jonathan-stewart-jersey , New York Giants fans!I know, I’ve been something of a ghost around these parts for the last week and a half (or so), but that’s because I’ve been hard at work getting BBV’s draft prep up and running. Ed has been gracious enough to let me be a draft-monk and start stockpiling prospect profiles for you all, and starting tomorrow (Monday, January 14th) they start getting posted. As usual, there will be a couple minor tweaks to the profiles and the process based on last-year’s experience. Some of them are behind the scenes in my own process, others you guys will get to see — such as a new section for Dan to share some stats or advanced analytics on the prospect being profiled. As I did last year, I will be taking the time before the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine to concentrate on offensive linemen and running backs. While the Combine does figure in to the evaluation of those position groups, athletic testing isn’t as important for them as it is for other positions. Lower-body explosiveness and power are important for linemen, and the field drills are always instructive, but not as important as seeing what they do in live reps against actual opponents. Likewise, speed, explosiveness, and agility are all important for running backs, but vision and contact balance are more important for me. And since SOMEONE has to get profiled before the combine, they get the nod. For “measurables” I will just be listing the best height and weight I can find. After the Combine, that section will feature MockDraftable’s spider charts — which I like for a couple reasons. They give a lot of info, and put it in perspective of the player’s position group Youth Carl Banks Jerseys , and make it easily readable t a glance.Likewise, I am going to try and keep these profiles as relevant and topical as I can, which means that this week’s batch will be drawn from players on the East-West Shrine Game roster, and next week’s will feature prospects from the 2019 Senior Bowl. There will be a few more surprises along the way, and I hope everyone enjoys the run-up to the draft! EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Dave Gettleman isn’t ready to make a decision on Eli Manning’s future as the quarterback of the New York Giants. The general manager and the two-time Super Bowl MVP had a no-holds barred conversion about Manning’s future Monday after the team missed the playoffs for the sixth time in seven seasons.Gettleman would not say Wednesday whether the quarterback, who will turn 38 on Thursday, would be back for a 16th season.Manning’s $23 million salary cap hit will play a role in the decision, but the bottom line is Gettleman will do what is in the best interests of the Giants (5-11).“He came in and he wanted to talk,” Gettleman said of the conversation. “I have a crazy idea that if a guy asks me questions, I’m going to be honest with him. He wasn’t called to the principal’s office. He came to see me.”Manning, who has a year left on an $84 million contract, threw for 4,299 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this past season despite being sacked a career-high 47 times. His completion percentage (66) was the highest of his career.“Once we got rolling, once everybody got comfortable with the offense, if you’re going to look at stats, it wasn’t too shabby what (he) did Carl Banks Jerseys Stitched ,” Gettleman said of Manning. “He still can make the NFL throws, you know what I’m saying? He’s still got it.”There is no doubt Gettleman respects Manning, who he called a “mensch.” It’s a Yiddish word meaning “a person of integrity and honor.”“There’s no deviousness, there’s no duplicitousness, none of that stuff. He’s a mensch. Someday, I hope to be a mensch,” Gettleman said. The question is whether Manning is the best choice to lead the Giants to victory and Gettleman plans to watch plenty of videotape and talk to his coaches and scouting staff in coming to a decision. In a news conference that lasted more than 30 minutes, Gettleman said he liked the direction the Giants are headed. The dissention-ridden locker room from last season (3-13) was cleaned out, leaving only 13 players on the final roster.Among other topics Gettleman touched on:— He said the offense overcame early season woes to lead the NFC East in scoring, but the defensive play needed to improve.— Gettleman said the Giants didn’t re-sign receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a five-year, $90 million before the season to trade him.— A recent survivor of a bout with cancer, Gettleman was certain he made the right choice drafting running back Saquon Barkley with the second pick overall instead of taking a young quarterback.— The veteran general manager also was happy with Pat Shurmur’s first season as coach, particularly after a 1-7 start.“We’re trying to build sustained success,” said Gettleman, who replaced the fired Jerry Reese last December. “That takes brutal honesty and that takes tough decisions.”— Gettleman would not comment on the status of cornerback Janoris Jenkins and linebacker Olivier Vernon. Both are under contract but each could be a salary cap casualty.“We’re going to look at film, we’re going to evaluate everything. Everything is on the table for us,” Gettleman said.— Looking forward to this year’s draft, Gettleman has no intention of forcing a pick Ray-Ray Armstrong Jersey , such as taking a quarterback early because of Manning’s age or a team need.“You do that, you’re going to make a mistake, you’re going to screw it up,” he said.Manning’s father, Archie, recently said his son can’t go through another losing season. Gettleman found it humorous when asked it he could guarantee a winning team next season.“Really and truly, can anybody guarantee anything like that? Really?” he said. “All you Yankee fans thought you were going to win 162 games this year (laughter). I knew better. All kidding aside, you can’t guarantee that. There’s no way. I wouldn’t guarantee that to anybody.”Gettleman believes he heads into this offseason with a better understanding of what Shurmur and his coaches need in terms of players. While the offense was his focus heading into the offseason last year, the defense will occupy that spot now.Despite not making the playoffs, Gettleman does not see this as a rebuilding season. He actually hates the word.“You just keep going, you just keep building. It’s really what we’re doing here,” Gettleman said. “We’re doing our best to accumulate the talent that fits our schemes, and that understands how to play the game, and hates to lose. That’s what it’s really all about, and we’re going to continue to do this and get it right. We’re going to fix it.”

The Patriots drafted Damien Harris in the third

round of this year’s draft and they added another former SEC running back as an undrafted free agent. The NFL’s daily transaction report brings word that the team has signed former LSU back Nick Brossette to their 90-man roster. Brossette played behind Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice early in his college career before getting a shot in the lead role last year. He ran for 1 Womens Danny Etling Jersey ,039 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018.New England also signed Texas tackle Calvin Anderson, Texas tight end Andrew Beck, Auburn wide receiver Ryan Davis, Marshall defensive back Malik Gant, Miami center Tyler Gauthier, Missouri linebacker Terez Hall, N.C. State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, New Mexico defensive back D’Angelo Ross, Miami tackle Tyree St. Louis, and Houston defensive end Nick Thurman. They also waived tackle Ryker Mathews. Mathews signed with the team in January after spending two years in the CFL. What would’ve happened if New England had chosen Garoppolo over Brady?"On October 31, 2017, Bill Belichick made the (correct) decision to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo. But what if he hadn’t made that decision? What would the last year and a half look like for the New England Patriots? Before I start, you need to understand, no matter what anyone tried to tell you, the Patriots would not have been able to keep both Tom Brady and Garoppolo. Because of that Youth Isaiah Wynn Jerseys , I’m just going to be talking about the past and future of the Patriots if they had traded Brady instead of Garoppolo. Also, let’s assume that the Patriots wouldn’t have traded Brady mid season, meaning he still wins MVP, and then throws for the most yards in Super Bowl history in 2017, and then the Patriots trade him in the offseason. That sentence hurt my brain, but let’s take a look anyway. First, there’s the matter of what the Patriots would’ve gotten in return for Brady. This is more complicated than you might think. Trading Tom Brady would be like trying to sell the Mona Lisa. You’d get a ton in return, but whatever you got wouldn’t be enough. They are both truly priceless, items so valuable that you will never be able to receive full value in exchange.Let’s put that aside and think like an NFL GM for a second, though. Who would be willing to trade for Brady? You would think that it would have to be a team that feels they are just a quarterback away from at least making the playoffs. Because, no matter how dominant Brady is right now, realistically, he only has a few years left. Why would the Browns have traded the #1 pick to the Patriots for Brady? Instead, you could draft Baker Mayfield and have him for the rest of his career. In all likelihood, the Browns weren’t going to be great any time soon (they might be pretty good this year Isaiah Wynn Jerseys Stitched , but no one would’ve predicted that last offseason), and it’s better to have a young QB who can be the face of your team and franchise for the next 10-15 years when you’re in that situation. So that means the Patriots are probably getting a mid to late first round pick, and, even if you’re getting multiple picks, I can’t imagine that would be enough. Let’s say that Belichick ended up pulling the trigger anyway, and making the trade. Does that then create a cascade of changes? Do they hold onto Brandin Cooks instead of trading him for #23 in 2028? Do they draft Sony Michel at #31 in 2018 (if they even get thatslot with Garoppolo at the helm)? They also wouldn’t have been able to make as many trades in the second round, because most of them came from the pick they got for Garoppolo.Would you feel a little better about the trade if you knew that Michel was the running back, and the Patriots still had Cooks? Probably not, but I think they’d still be decent. Maybe they still would’ve traded for Trent Brown but, without a tackle waiting behind him, perhaps they would’ve tried to keep him. It’s also hard to imagine that they would’ve done into Garoppolo’s first season as a starter with the receiver depth chart looking the way it did at the beginning of last season. At the same time, Belichick has always built his team with the next five years in mind, so perhaps it wouldn’t have looked so different after all. It’s certainly not as simple as just swapping Brady out for Garoppolo, but what the exact team would look like is impossible to know. One thing is a certainty, the Patriots wouldn’t have won Super Bowl 53 this season with Garoppolo at quarterback. Regardless of whether or not he ended up tearing his ACL Youth Duke Dawson Jerseys , I can’t imagine hin leading the Patriots to the title this year. So that’s one title that the Patriots would have sacrificed to make the change, and who knows how many more Brady will win before he hangs them up.Now, some people in the media have been trying for years to convince you that Garoppolo was the next great QB, and that it was time to move on from Brady to the next phase of the dynasty. The real question, however, is whether or not Garoppolo could play well enough, and for long enough, to justify the decision in the long run. Unfortunately, there is no way to know the answer to that. Even if he is never truly elite in San Francisco, he might’ve had a different set of circumstances, and better coaching, in New England that would’ve allowed him to be more successful. In the end, we should all be very thankful that Belichick didn’t listen to those talking heads, and decided to keep Brady instead of Garoppolo. Even though there has been much made about the return they got from the trade, I think we can all agree they did just fine. The Patriots would have certainly given up the short term success they had last year Duke Dawson Jerseys Stitched , and could have this year. But, they would be banking on the success of the years after Brady retires. They did the right thing, but there’s something even more incredible to me.In 2013, Felger and Mazz asked the question of whether you’d trade Brady for Andrew Luck, who was drafted first overall in 2012. They thought you should, and Brady has not only proven them wrong about Luck, but is still playing, and has proven them wrong about Garoppolo as well. Belichick drafted Garoppolo to potentially be Brady’s successor, but Brady wasn’t ready to give up the throne just yet. Hopefully, the Patriots’ head honcho is able to find a successor as good as Garoppolo in the future. Otherwise, whether they made the right decision in trading Jimmy or not, there might be some tough years once Brady retires. Many believe Quinnen Williams is the best overall prospect in the 2019 NFL draft. After being a rotational guy at Alabama in 2017, Williams dominated in 2018 Wayne Chrebet Jerseys 2019 , racking up 19.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
The 12th head coach in team history."

The 12th head coach in team history."The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that Bruce Arians has been named the 12th head coach in franchise history. Arians is a two-time Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year Sean Bunting Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jersey , earning the award in 2012 (Indianapolis Colts) and in 2014 (Arizona Cardinals). He is the only coach in NFL history to earn the award multiple times in a three-year span with different teams and is one of only 12 coaches in NFL history to win the award multiple times. “Bruce Arians is one of the NFL’s most well-respected coaches over the past two decades and we are excited to have him leading our team. Throughout this process, we focused on finding the right coach with a proven ability to elevate our players and lead our team forward. Bruce has played a large role in the development and career success of some of our league’s best players and we look forward to seeing him continue that work here with our franchise,” said Buccaneers Owner/Co-Chairman Bryan Glazer. Prior to arriving in Tampa, Arians spent five seasons as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2013-17) in addition to a 12-game stint as interim head coach for the Indianapolis Colts (2012), compiling a regular season record of 58-33-1. During that 92-game stretch Arians was a head coach, his 58 wins ranked fourth in the NFL, trailing only Bill Belichick (73), Pete Carroll (63) and Mike Tomlin (59). Throughout his 25-year NFL career, Arians has worked closely with some of the league’s top passers including Pro Bowlers Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck and Carson Palmer. As an offensive play-caller, Arians has directed top-10 offenses with three different teams (Arizona, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh) over the last nine seasons of his coaching career. During his time in Arizona, the York, Pennsylvania native compiled a 49-30-1 regular season record (.619 winning percentage). The Cardinals’ 49 wins during that span were the seventh-most in the NFL and the third-most in the NFC. Arians won 50 total games in Arizona (49 regular season, one postseason), finishing his time there as the winningest coach in franchise history. His 49 regular season wins are also the most by any coach in Cardinals history. Arians posted three seasons with double-digit wins as the head coach of the Cardinals, including tying the then-franchise best with 11 in 2014. The following season, Arizona established a new franchise record with 13 wins, which also featured the team’s first-ever postseason bye and second-ever appearance in the NFC Championship Game. Under Arians, the Cardinals offense set several single-season team records, including points scored (489 in 2015), total touchdowns (59 in 2015), total net yards (6,533 in 2015) and first downs (373 in 2015). Arians also helped coach individual players to some of the best seasons of their careers. In 2015, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer set franchise records for passing yards (4,671), passing touchdowns (35), yards per attempt (8.70) and passer rating (104.6) en route to a Pro Bowl selection. In 2016, running back David Johnson established new team records for rushing touchdowns (16) Cheap Sean Bunting Jersey , total touchdowns (20) and yards from scrimmage (2,118), while leading the NFL in total touchdowns and yards from scrimmage. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald posted the top three seasons for receptions in Cardinals history under Arians and ranked third in the NFL in catches during that span. Arians came to Arizona after spending the 2012 season with Indianapolis. Hired as the team’s offensive coordinator, he also served as the team’s interim coach for 12 games while head coach Chuck Pagano was treated for leukemia. He led the Colts to a 9-3 record and was selected as the 2012 AP NFL Coach of the Year. Indianapolis’ nine-win improvement (2-14 to 11-5) matched the third-largest single-season turnaround in NFL history. Arians helped the Colts’ offense rank 10th in the NFL in yards (362.4 ypg) and seventh in passing yards (258.0 ypg). Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck – the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft – made the Pro Bowl and set rookie records for passing yards (4,374) and 300-yard passing games (six). He also established the NFL single-game rookie record for passing yards (433, 11/4 vs. Miami). Luck finished with the then-third-most passing touchdowns by a rookie in NFL history, with 23. Prior to his time with the Colts, Arians spent eight seasons with the Steelers, five as offensive coordinator (2007-11) and three as the wide receivers coach (2004-06). During his tenure as the offensive coordinator, the Steelers had a 55-25 record, tying Green Bay for the second-best mark in the NFL during that span. Pittsburgh won three AFC North Division titles, two AFC Championships and earned a victory in Super Bowl XLIII over the Cardinals. Arians was also part of the Steelers’ Super Bowl XL win as the team’s wide receivers coach. Under Arians’ guidance, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger put together some of the best seasons in team history, establishing a then-franchise record with 32 touchdown passes in 2007, recording a then-team record 4,328 passing yards in 2009 and registering a career-high and Steelers-record 104.1 passer rating in 2007. Roethlisberger earned his first career Pro Bowl selection in 2007 under Arians. In 2009, the Steelers’ offense became the first team in NFL history to have a 4,000-yard passer (Roethlisberger), two 1,000-yard receivers (Santonio Holmes, Hines Ward) and a 1,000-yard rusher (Rashard Mendenhall) in the same season. Before joining the Steelers, Arians spent three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2001-03). He joined Cleveland after spending three seasons with the Colts as the team’s quarterbacks coach. Working with offensive coordinator Tom Moore, Arians helped tutor Peyton Manning during his first three seasons in the league and helped him earn Pro Bowl berths in 1999 and 2000. Arians’ first NFL job was with the Kansas City Chiefs, working as the team’s running backs coach for four seasons (1989-92). There he helped Christian Okoye to two Pro Bowl selections (1989, 1991). Arians also spent the 1996 season as the tight ends coach for the New Orleans Saints. Arians’ coaching career began as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Virginia Tech, in 1975, before being elevated to running backs coach in 1977. He spent 1978-80 with Mississippi State as the school’s running backs/wide receivers coach before coaching the running backs at Alabama for two seasons (1981-82) under legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. Arians would later return to Mississippi State (1993-95) and Alabama (1997) to serve as the offensive coordinator for the respective schools. He became one of the youngest head coaches in Division I history when Temple University hired him in 1983 at the age of 30. He spent six seasons coaching the Owls (1983-88).Born in Paterson, New Jersey Sean Bunting Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jersey , Arians grew up in York, Pennsylvania, and played quarterback at Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Christine, have two children – son, Jake, and daughter, Kristi Anne, as well as a granddaughter, Presley and a grandson, Aiden. TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints are a long way from where they want to be.For now, though, repeating as NFC South champions for the first time in franchise history feels pretty good.“Goal No. 1 was to win the division again and we were able to do that,” Drew Brees said Sunday after throwing for one touchdown and running for another to help the Saints rally from an 11-point halftime deficit to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 28-14.Article continues below ...“I like the way we won this game. We didn’t play well in the first half and (faced) a big deficit,” Brees added. “We were able to come together with all sides making plays in that second half. I think that was the epitome of a great team win.”Music blared in the winning locker room. There’s still a lot of work ahead for the Saints (10-2), however clinching any division title — much less with three weeks remaining in the regular season — is an accomplishment worth celebrating.“This is what guys look forward to. This is fun,” said Brees, who shrugged off a pair of turnovers to throw a 1-yard TD pass to Zach Line, then scored on a 1-yard sneak as the Saints avenged a season-opening loss to the Bucs (5-8) and also rebounded from a defeat the previous week at Dallas.“This is the stuff you remember, especially road games — you know, road locker rooms, bus rides, back on the plane. Those moments together,” Brees added. “It’s hard to win in this league, it’s hard to win on the road. We’re going to enjoy these moments and continue to build on ’em.”New Orleans’ defense did its part after allowing two first-half TDs, too, sacking Jameis Winston four times and limiting the NFL’s No. 1-ranked offense to 81 yards in the second half — most of that on the final drive of the game“We got dominated in the second half,” said Bucs coach Dirk Koetter, whose team won a high-scoring shootout 48-40 at New Orleans in Week 1. “We haven’t been shut down like that in a long time.”Brees completed 24 of 31 passes for 201 yards and one interception. Michael Thomas had 11 receptions for 98 yards Caleb Benenoch Jersey , giving him 298 catches since entering the league in 2016 — surpassing Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, both with 288, for the most by a player in his first three seasons in NFL history.A week after being held to a season-low 176 yards total offense in a 13-10 loss to Dallas that ended a 10-game winning streak, the Saints started slowly again.Winston threw a pair of TD passes to Cameron Brate, the latter a 1-yarder set up by Adarius Taylor’s interception to put the Bucs up 14-3 at halftime. The fourth-year pro also threw an 11-yarder to Brate on the opening drive of the game. The game turned in the third quarter when Brees weathered losing a fumble at his own 27 and later took advantage of the Saints blocking a punt to set up his TD pass to Line, along with Alvin Kamara’s 2-point conversion that trimmed Tampa Bay’s lead to 14-11.In addition to missing a 40-yard field goal after Carl Nassib sacked Brees, forcing a fumble Jason Pierre-Paul recovered early in the third quarter, Cairo Santos also had a 46-yard attempt deflect off the right upright in the first half for Tampa Bay, which finished with 279 yards — more than 160 below its league-leading season average.“Going into the second half I thought that we had an opportunity to put a fork into them, but they got a boost of confidence from a missed field goal, a punt blocked,” Bucs tackle Demar Dotson said.“We couldn’t get anything going on offense,” coach Dirk Koetter added. “Fourteen points isn’t going to do it against the Saints.”Brees’ TD run put the Saints ahead early in the fourth quarter. Mark Ingram scored on a 17-yard run to make it 25-14. Will Lutz tacked on a 36-yard field goal in the closing minutes.Pressured relentlessly in the second while the Saints were taking control of the game, Winston finished 18 of 38 for 213 yards, two touchdowns and one interception — an end-zone throw picked off by Marshon Lattimore with 1 second remaining. The Bucs had 32 yards in the second half until Winston completed passes of 16, 12 and 21 to march into Saints territory on the final drive. And, penalties hurt Tampa Bay all day long, including an unnecessary roughness penalty on Bucs center Ryan Jensen late in the second quarter. At one point, a frustrated Winston was seen arguing on the sideline with Jensen.“Brothers have disagreements,” Winston said of the exchange. “It wasn’t that much.”PERSISTENCEThe Saints ran the ball nine times for just 3 yards in the first half. They stuck with the game plan, though, and finished with 100 on 30 attempts. Ingram had 52 yards on 13 carries, and Kamara rushed for 51 yards on 12 attempts.TAKEAWAYSSince failing to force a turnover on defense for seven consecutive games, the Bucs have 10 takeaways over the last three weeks. The Bucs have seven interceptions over that stretch after only having one in the first 10.INJURIESSaints: LT Terron Armstead was inactive, replaced by Jermon Bushrod.Buccaneers: With WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) inactive for the second straight week, Chris Godwin started. Andrew Adams started in place of S Justin Evans (toe) and CB Carlton Davis II (knee) was replaced by Ryan Smith. …LB Kevin Minter left in the second quarter with a calf injury and did not return.UP NEXTSaints: at Carolina next Monday, last of three consecutive road games.Buccaneers: at Baltimore next Sunday.

as the San Francisco 49ers may turn to Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft to acquire a cornerback."The San Francisco 49ers will need to add additional depth and competition in the secondary. Richard Sherman is not going to be around in the long term and the team would be wise to continue to add talent to a position of need. Let’s take a closer look and see how Rock Ya-Sin can be a nice addition to the red and gold!Combine Results:40 Yard Dash: 4.51Bench Press: 18 repsVertical Jump: 39.5”Broad Jump: 120.0”3 Cone Drill: 7.3120 Yard Shuttle: 4.31Measurebales:Height: 6’0”Weight: 192 lbs.Hands: 9 7/8” Arms: 32”Summary:Rock Ya-Sin was not a highly recruited player coming out of high school http://www.49erslockerroom.com/authentic-adrian-colbert-jersey , and began at a smaller program at Presbyterian College before transferring to Temple. He turned heads and exceled as a first-team All-American. In his senior season Ya-Sin led the Owls with 12 passes broken up with 47 tackles, two for a loss, and two interceptions.Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY SportsHe has great size and physical traits that should transition smoothly at the next level. He is a physical corner who bodies opposing receivers. Moves fluidly through his hips, and is light on his feet, particularly in his back-pedal. He has a strong frame and a natural blend of upper and lower body strength. While he doesn’t have explosive speed, on tape, I like his closing speed and burst to put himself in a position of attack on passes. Has strong and aggressive hands that will play into the catch-point, and will not shy away in one to one matchups against receivers. Often times on tape, Ya-Sin made his presence known against the run, and put his body in a position to make a play. Has good awareness and instincts for where the play is going to occur. Here is an example of Ya-sin with a pick against Tulsa:Ya-Sin was stingy in man to man coverages, and found creative ways to isolate the receiver and take him out of the play. Ya-Sin did only play one season of FBS level football, however he made the most of that opportunity leading the team in passes broken up. He has the ability to produce game changing plays.Ya-Sin is still a raw talent to some respect, and with more coaching and technique he has the potential to turn into a special player at the pro level. Is He A Fit For the 49ers?Well Brock Coyle Jersey White , I suppose it depends on if Rock Ya-Sin fits the mold that this current 49ers regime seeks at the position. You might say he falls just short of those numbers, but then again, the team did just sign Jason Verrett in free agency. What I like about Ya-Sin is his physical tools, his ability to isolate receivers, and deflect passes thrown in his direction. Ya-sin is coachable, and as I mentioned earlier, with some more technique and polishing, he can be a starting caliber corner at the next level. His physical and tough presence on the field, along with his disruptive tendencies in the secondary, and willingness to go the extra yard is everything a GM should want out of a prospect. He will only add more competition and flair to a position of need. Ya-Sin’s draft projections are a bit all over the place at the moment. A recent mock draft had him going in the back end of the first round, while other mocks have him going in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. At this point in time I like Ya-Sin going in the middle of day two Womens K'Waun Williams Jersey , perhaps the backend of the second round. There is, of course, the chance he drops to the 49ers third round selection. If the 49ers are looking to address cornerback in the 3rd round, I believe rock Ya-Sin should a consideration for that pick. What are YOUR thoughts on Rock Ya-Sin? Would you trade back in the second round or consider him in the 3rd round? Please share in the comments below! I am not only very interested in what Nick Mullens can do with his second start but I am also excited to watch rookie draft sensation Saquon Barkley play too. On the other hand, hopefully we can stop him.Saquon Barkley has been fairly inconsistent as a rusher but still has managed to run for 519 yards over eight games for a 4.7 yards average per attempt. He has also caught 58 passes for 497 yards giving him 1016 total yards from the line of scrimmage. Not too shabby for his first eight games in the NFL. He should be fun to watch.Getting back to Nick Mullens with an “e”. I don’t expect him to put on a performance like he did against Oakland but I liked what I saw from him in the preseason and I think he may just hold his own. He seems to find his receivers a lot quicker than CJ Beathard but then,, who doesn’t? A lot of things can happen but I have a very good feeling about Monday night. Let’s hope Dakota Watson can also have another good performance.Don’t miss the link to the article by Dan Brown (did I read his books :-)) I was a big fan of Ken Willard and the other guy is one of my all time favorites too. We’ll take a look at safety turned linebacker Maurice AlexanderEDTShareTweetShareShareAll-22 analysis: Buffalo Bills free-agent addition, linebacker Maurice AlexanderThe Buffalo Bills continue their free-agency spending spree. This time Vladimir Ducasse Jerseys 2019 , another player looking to make a position switch lands in Orchard Park. Former St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks safety Maurice Alexander was signed to a one-year deal to play...linebacker. At 220 lbs (per Pro Football Reference) Alexander comes in just a few pounds lighter than Matt Milano. For linebackers, Milano comes in on the lighter end however. Compared to safeties, Alexander is roughly 20 lbs heavier than Micah Hyde and 30 lbs heavier than Jordan Poyer. Coming in firmly between the two positions, it’s likely Alexander will be looking to carve out a role as part of a heavy nickel package. Play 1The difficulty when taking a look at Maurice Alexander using existing NFL footage is a matter of translation. There are a few elements of his play at safety we can use to try to make an educated guess on how well he’ll perform at linebacker. We start with play recognition, and straight-line, downhill tackling. The play recognition and reaction time seems fine on this play. The initial angle is poor and a small correction doesn’t entirely fix it. As a result this tackle is missed, nearly resulting in a touchdown. Play 2This play isn’t a bad parallel to a linebacker role. Maurice Alexander shoots for the ball carrier but is met by tight end Jack Doyle. Alexander is knocked back and then driven sideways by Doyle. As a linebacker, Alexander will have more frequent trips into the trenches. His time at safety didn’t yield many encouraging signs he can take on blocks from tights ends and offensive linemen. Play 3Often the ability to flow sideline to sideline is more important than a backpedal or mirroring complex route trees. Alexander often seemed a half-step behind opponents. Based on his in -between size, Alexander might be asked to sub in more often for coverage (like this) than a traditional linebacker. Play 4Maurice Alexander sees a lane to hit and tries to drive in. Jordan Reed finds success blocking Alexander much like Doyle above. Alexander disengages with a spin and isn’t shy about helping get in on the tackle. Play 5Running in from this distance White Jason Croom Jerseys , Alexander has a chance to choose with lane to attack. He initially appears to select the wrong one but adjusts in time. When the he squares up, Alexander hits more like a linebacker than a safety. Play 6Alexander sees the play develop quickly enough to limit this to a four-yard gain. A slight miscalculation on the angle and imperfect tackling form means Alexander slides off his opponents. All’s well that ends well here as they reach the sideline. Play 7Again we see good awareness of the play. Alexander cuts through traffic well and gets a decent angle for the tackle. This play was selected to reinforce the last one. It’s easy enough to assume he pulled up to avoid a late hit, but both plays show a similar tackle. This was fairly common for Alexander. SummaryAll of the clips above came from the 2017 season with the Rams. Maurice Alexander spent 2018 with the Seahawks but didn’t see any time on defense. Seattle gave him plenty of snaps on special teams, but were willing to cut ties after one season. As a safety, missed tackles and poor angles were major concerns that routinely crept up. It’s possible the change to linebacker will allow Alexander to focus on less of the field and make positive strides reacting to plays. On the positive side Alexander didn’t seem shy in terms of making contact and often saw plays develop well. UPDATE:Maurice Alexander responded to this indicating injuries were a factor in 2017. Feel free to take my summary with a grain of salt. I'll look to update further after looking at some 2016 film.
