Generally, a pp compression fitting consists of an inner ring and outer nut, made either of brass and copper. The inner ring is known as a ferrule. This fitted over pipes to be joined and the outer nut slipped over it. The piping is then clamped together by tightening the nut so it presses against the ring creating a tight fitting that should be air tight and water tight seal. When larger pp compression fittings are required, there is usually a flange, rather than a single nut, with a ring of bolts each of which must be tightened evenly to ensure a proper and effective seal. In all cases, the nut should not be too loose or over tightened as this can compromise the fitting and cause leakage.

The pp quick connect fitting is one of our products, welcome to your come and purchase!

Learn More About PP Fitting

Have you ever used a piece of equipment with a pp fitting? Sometimes they are also called quick disconnect connectors or couplings. If you have used them at some point you know how convenient, effective and noteworthy they are for many applications. If you have never used this piece of equipment, it is definitely worth learning more about them because they are easy to implement and versatile. Most fitting come in three shapes straight, tee or 90° elbow, but they are not limited to these shapes. The purpose of this type of fitting is to be able to disconnect two parts without disrupting the pressure of the contents in the tube or pipe and reconnect them just as easily.

Besides easy on and easy off what makes quick disconnect couplings so beneficial and helpful to so many industries? First of all, safety, no machines are needed to disconnect the tube or hose from the fitting everything can be done and controlled by hand. Having full control over the connecting and disconnecting insures no slip of a button and less man power is needed. Another safety feature is the fitting holds all pressure and does not let gas or liquid escape the hose or tube when it is disconnected. Therefore, when removing no bleeding, purging air or recharging is necessary. The disconnection can be done easily and promptly.

So where can these fittings be found and how much do they cost? The answer for both of these questions varies vastly. To find one of these products you can look near or far, as far as kilometers underwater used in drilling operations or high in orbit around earth, for docking spacecraft. Also, you are able to find them as close as walking into a garage and finding a pp fitting on the air hose attached to the air compressor. Cost can also vary considerably, all depending on the size, application and material. As you can imagine, underwater drilling will employ a larger fitting than a small air hose used in a mechanics garage. Additionally, materials may change because of corrosive materials present or extreme temperatures.

The pp fittings are used as high as space and as deep down as drilling wells these fittings are used across a plethora of industries. A few of these industries are water transport, chemical industries and pluming in addition to the examples already presented. Where have you found pp fittings useful? Limiting the examples to only a few industries does not begin to show the helpfulness and versatility of these components that can make the task at hand so much easier. Share your fitting stories with us and what application it was used for.

Know Installation For The PP Compression Fitting

Installation instructions for pp compression fitting vary depending on the manufacturer and the specific fitting design. Care should be taken to follow the assembly procedures recommended by the manufacturer. There are however, several common elements to the installation procedure for nearly all compression fittings:

Distance vs. Torque
Typically the procedure for tightening a compression fitting is specified using the rotation of the nut as the key metric, rather than torque. Compression nuts are threaded, meaning that the number of rotations of the nut is directly correlated to the linear compression of the ferrule, based on the thread’s pitch. Torque, on the other hand, can vary greatly, depending on fitting and ferrule material, lubrication, degree of galling (for stainless fittings), and other factors.

Compression fitting assembly using a pre-swage tool in a vise
Tighter is Not “Better”
Often when assembling fittings, assemblers and engineers assume that “tighter is better”. This does not hold true for compression fittings. As described in the “Ferrules” section above, the optimal seal is created by a line contact between the ferrule and the tubing. Insufficient tightening of the compression nut will not deform the ferrule enough to create this contact, but over-tightening will deform the ferrule too much, creating a surface contact. A surface contact weakens the seal and often results in leaks

Pre-swaged ferrules and compression screw.
Disassembly and Re-Assembly
The ease of assembly and disassembly is one of the reasons why compression fittings are so widely used. Disassembly involves simply loosening the compression nut or screw. Re-assembly can be accomplished in a similar manner to the initial assembly, although typically fewer turns of the nut are required, since the ferrule is already swaged to the tubing. It is important to note however, that compression fittings can only be disassembled and reassembled a few times before either the ferrules and/or the fitting body should be replaced, to ensure a leak-tight seal.

Mixing and Matching Components
Even if components from two different manufacturers look similar externally, they will often differ in key internal dimensions, such as ferrule/body taper, ferrule length, and thread size and pitch. Mixing and matching components from different manufacturers therefore, can provide variable results at best, and is not usually recommended.

If you are also interested in pp quick connect fitting, welcome to visit https://www.plastic-fitting.com/.

When trying to control flow in industrial applications, you want to choose the best quality of valves and Valvesfittings. This will keep the piping secure and maintain them all in a leak-free state for years.

Even when choosing high quality material, there is a range of types of valves that are available. You should select the ones which best match your requirements.

Most commonly used valves are ball and gate valves. Both these valves are suitable for restricting and controlling flow. However, pvc ball valve is a better option.

Let’s learn a bit about the two valves to see how one is better than the other.

Ball valves and gate valves—form and function
While these two valve types essentially perform the same function, their structure is considerably functiondifferent from one another.

Gate valves are designed to have a flat gate closure. This closure slides in and out, or moves up and down, in order to open or shut the valve. These valves only have on and off settings. Hence, they can’t be used for flow regulation, but only for restricting it.

Owing to their structure, gate valves are more susceptible to corrosion. Over time, this may lead leaks or even stoppage. The corroded gates will fall in the line, blocking the flow.

Ball valves, instead, have a round closure element. The closure also has a hole which lines up with the flow, resulting in the opening of valve. The solid side of this ball is turned towards the flow in order o close the valve.

The ball itself helps prevent corrosion in these valves, as it has a protective chromium outer layer. This makes ball valves last longer than gate valves.

Which valve is better at sealing?
Ball valves seal considerably tighter as they have a 100% shut off mechanism. On the other hand, gate valves are prone to leaks. It is because the design includes many more channels which can potentially leak. This gives the fluid running in the line more avenues to leak out from.

Is there a price difference?
Considering that valves are not particularly expensive, there is not much difference between prices of the two valves—or other valves for that matter.

However, ball valves cost slightly more than the gate valves; this is comparable to the quality you achieve with these valves.

Even if small savings are made by opting for gate valves, they would eventually cost more as you’ll need to change them sooner. Hence, to avoid future troubles and blockage issues, ball valves are a more cost-effective option.

Conclusively, ball valves are superior to gate valves because of a number of reasons. They last longer, are more leak-proof and have a lesser rate of failure. Furthermore, ball valves are easier to use and adapt for various industrial applications.

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to visit https://www.plastic-fitting.com/.

You Can Use Use Double Union Pvc Ball Valve

Double union pvc ball valve has both advantages and disadvantages – figuring out where you need the valve in your pipe system and what kind of control you want to have over the flow will help you decide whether a double union ball valve is the right choice for you.

A double union ball valve has, as implied, two unions on it – one on either side. The unions enable the valve to be unscrewed and removed from the pipeline, where it can be serviced or checked to see whether it's blocked, and then easily put back in the pipeline where the unions can get screwed back on. This means that to get to your valve and service it, you won’t have to worry about cutting your pipe. It also means that returning your valve to your pipe system is a fast process and won’t keep your system down for long.

The main advantage of a double union ball valve is that it has a full-bore flow all the way through. This means there is nothing to catch any debris that might be coming down in the water or fluid. Therefore, it is highly unlikely to get blocked.

An alternative to a double union ball valve, which still has the same benefits of a full-bore flow, is a single union ball valve. However, a single union ball valve only has a union on one side of it. Due to this, a single union ball valve should be used at the end of a pipeline rather than in the middle of a system. If it was used in the middle of a pipe system and you had a problem with the valve, the only way to remove it would be to cut the pipe on one side and then unscrew the union. You would then be left with having to glue a fitting onto pipe. This means your system would be down for a lot longer. That's why we use double union ball valves in a system, and single union ball valves at the end of a system.

While ball valves have their advantages, they are not easy to control. There is only a quarter turn on the valve between fully open and fully closed, which means it is very hard to get a fine control of flow. They're great if you want a fully open flow, a fully closed flow, or perhaps somewhere around a half-flow. But if you want finer control than that, you are much better using a gate valve, which has around eight turns between fully open and fully closed. Gate valves enable you to get fine control on the valve and fine control of the flow.

All our ball valves are pressure tested to 10 bar pressure. They are also all wet tested at the factory before they come to us, so if you find a tiny bit of water or fluid in and around the valve when you take the unions off, that doesn't mean it's been used on someone else's system, it means it's been wet tested at the factory and is therefore in perfect working condition!

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to your come and purchase!

We Suggest You To Learn Advantages Of Pvc Ball Valve

The advantages of pvc ball valve include the following:

1.The fluid resistance is small. The resistance coefficient is equal to that of the pipe of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size, light weight.
3. Tight and reliable. Plastics are widely used in sealing materials of ball valves. They have good sealing performance and are also widely used in vacuum system.
4. Easy operation, quick opening and closing. From full opening to full closing, there only needs to be a 90 degrees rotation, which is easy for remote control.
5. Easy maintenance. Ball valves have simple structures, and the seals are usually active, which is convenient for removal and replacing.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing of the ball and valve seat is isolated from the medium. When the medium flows through, there’ll be no corrosion of the sealing surface of the valve.
7. Wide range of application. The diameter can be as small as a few millimeters, or can be as large as a few meters. From high vacuum to high pressure, it can both be applied. When the ball rotates 90 degrees, spheres should be present at both the inlet and outlet, therefore cutting off the flow.

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to your come and purchase!

Known as a straight through and quarter-turn products, 3- Way pvc ball valve possess a circular closure constituent with identical curved seats authorizing standardized sealing pressure. They have 3- sides that make them comfortable towards connecting various pipes together. Ever thought as to how ball valves got its product name? It is because of a ball that revolves to unbolt and shut the valve. These are the following parameters that are followed by a top quality 3-way ball valve manufacturer in India.

Certainly, the shut-off based applications are manufactured to handle an immense amount of pressure in terms of liquid flow within pipes. When it comes to purchasing 3- Way ball valves, it is mandatory for the person to check the kind of pressure that the specified valves are designed to handle as slightest negligence can cause leakage in pipes leading to devastating effects. In this regard, it would be great that the buyer happens to identify the exact size of the valve needed to fit into the pipeline structure.

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to your come and purchase!

Do You Know Ball Valve Types Specifications?

Depending on the application, you should determine which pvc ball valve type is the right one for you. You should consider different specifications such as pressure, size, temperature, number of ports, body materials, end connectors, and configurations.

Full Port Ball Valve
Full port or full bore ball valve is more expensive than other types. The oversized ball in the full port ball valve lowers the friction loss because the hole in this ball valve is the same size as the pipeline. Though the valve is larger, the flow is unrestricted in full port ball valve size.

Full bore ball valves are usually used for throttling applications in various systems with high flow coefficients and low pressure drops.

Standard Port Ball Valve
Compared to the full port, the standard port ball valve has a smaller port and ball. It’s less expensive but comes with a slightly restricted flow due to the pipe size. Though they are cheaper, they have higher pressure drops compared to other ball valve types. Standard port valves are great for systems with high flow coefficient, just lie full port valves.

V-Port Ball Valve
The V in the v-port ball valve represents either the shape of the seat or the shape of the ball. V ball valve enables you to control the opening and the closing better. The flow characteristic in this type is close to linear. The high velocities of the fluids used with such ball valves forced the designers to come up with generally more robust construction for them since these types of fluids quickly damage a standard valve.

Multi-Port Ball Valve
Multi-port ball valves have three or four ways with an L to T shaped hole in the middle. T valves can connect any pair of ports and the L valve can connect the center port to side ports. Inlet in a multi-port ball valve is usually orthogonal to the plane of the outlets. 4-way ball valves have 2 L-shaped ports in their ball known as X port.

Reduced-Port Ball Valve
Also known as RB, reduced-port ball valves or reduced bore the flow area is smaller than the pipe and the flow through the valve is one pipe size smaller than the valve’s pipe size. This type of ball valve creates a pressure drop in the pipeline.

As we are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to your come and purchase!

We Introduce These Types Of Pvc Ball Valve

V-Port or Segmented Ball Valves
Various industries use v-port or segmented pvc ball valve to control flow in modulating applications. A producer can control v-port or segmented ball valves mechanically or by using pneumatic or electric power to actuate them based on a signal received from a pilot. Additionally, producers use smaller v-port or segmented ball valves in upstream applications and larger sizes in midstream applications.

Kimray recently entered the ball valve market.

Globe Valves
Globe valves are named for their spherical bodies. They have two halves separated by an internal baffle, or wall, causing different flow path than ball valves and other rotary-type valves. These valves actuate in a linear movement.

Oil and gas producers control globe valves by using pneumatic or electric power to actuate them based on a signal received from a pilot. Depending on the type, globe valves can provide either on/off or modulating service.

Examples of globe valves include Kimray’s high pressure control valves.

Full and Reduced-Port Ball Valves

Full or reduced-port ball valves are used in many on/off applications in various industries to control flow. Full-port ball valves have a bore diameter that matches the pipe diameter. Hence, this allows for little to no pressure drop across the valve.

Standard-port valves have a bore diameter one bore size down from the end connection, while reduced-port valves can have bore diameters with any number of bore sizes down from the end connection size. Kimray has the ability to provide fully automated ball valve packages for a range of on/off applications.

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer , welcome to your come and purchase!

What Are Types Of Pvc Ball Valve?

There are five general body styles of pvc ball valve: single body, three-piece body, split body, top entry, and welded. The difference is based on how the pieces of the valve—especially the casing that contains the ball itself—are manufactured and assembled. The valve operation is the same in each case. In addition, there are different styles related to the bore of the ball mechanism itself.

Full port

Ball Valve

A full port or more commonly known full bore ball valve has an over-sized ball so that the hole in the ball is the same size as the pipeline resulting in lower friction loss. Flow is unrestricted but the valve is larger and more expensive

Reduced port or reduced bore

Ball Valve

In Reduced port (more commonly known as reduced bore) ball valves, flow through the valve is one pipe size smaller than the valve's pipe size resulting in flow area being smaller than pipe.

V Port

Ball Valve

A V port ball valve has either a 'v' shaped ball or a 'v' shaped seat. This allows for linear and even equal percentage flow characteristics. When the valve is in the closed position and opening is commenced the small end of the 'v' is opened first allowing stable flow control during this stage.

Cavity filler

Ball Valve

Many industries encounter problem with residues in the ball valve. Where the fluid is meant for human consumption, residues may also be health hazard, and when where the fluid changes from time to time contamination of one fluid with another may occur.

Trunnion

Ball Valve

A trunnion ball valve has additional mechanical anchoring of the ball at the top and the bottom, suitable for larger and higher pressure valves (say, above 10 cm and 40 bars).A floating ball valve is one where the ball is not held in place by a trunnion. In normal operation, this will cause the ball to float downstream slightly. This causes the seating mechanism to compress under the ball pressing against it.

Multiport

Ball Valve

Three- and four-way have an L- or T-shaped hole through the middle. The different combinations of flow are shown in the figure. It is easy to see that a T valve can connect any pair of ports, or all three, together, but the 45 degree position which might disconnect all three leaves no margin for error. The L valve can connect the center port to either side port, or disconnect all three, but it cannot connect the side ports together.

Multi-port ball valves with 4 ways, or more, are also commercially available, the inlet way often being orthogonal to the plane of the outlets. For special applications, such as driving air-powered motors from forward to reverse, the operation is performed by rotating a single lever four-way valve. The 4-way ball valve has two L-shaped ports in the ball that do not interconnect, sometimes referred to as an "×" port.

We are one of the saddle clamp manufacturer, welcome to your come and purchase!
