Ahead of tonight’s divisional match-up Russell Okung Jerseys 2019 , the Chargers have decided to keep Melvin Gordon on the sidelines for another week, according to Omar Ruiz of NFL Network. to a Grade 2 MCL sprain that he sustained in their game against the Arizona Cardinals. In their previous two games, the Chargers rushing attack has taken a major step back in production as they’ve failed to reach the 100-yard rushing mark as team in either contest. In week 13 against the Steelers, Justin Jackson found some room to run as he led the team in rushing with 63 yards and a score on just eight carries. Against the Bengals last week White Virgil Green Jerseys , Ekeler led the way with 66 yards on 15 carries, also finding pay-dirt a single time. With Ekeler out tonight due to concussion symptoms. the backfield will be headed by Jackson and fellow rookie Detrez Newsome, a fellow rookie and undrafted free agent from Western Carolina. Running back Melvin Gordon is heading into the fifth year of his rookie deal with the Chargers, so he won’t be hitting the free agent market this offseason. He will be paying close attention to developments on that front. Gordon has talked about his desire to stay with the Chargers beyond the end of his current contract Virgil Green Jerseys 2019 , but he said on Wednesday that he’s watching to see what kind of deal Le'Veon Bell signs this offseason before moving forward with any deal of his own.“I’m waiting. I’m sitting back waiting, waiting on Bell,” Gordon told NFL Media, via the . “I’m glad it’s changing because we [running backs] were getting devalued for a little bit. But me White Mike Pouncey Jerseys , David Johnson, Todd Gurley, I can go down a whole list, Bell Mike Pouncey Jerseys 2019 , you name it, ‘Zeke,’ just game-changers, Alvin Kamara White Isaac Rochell Jerseys , all those guys.”Johnson and Gurley didn’t wait for Bell to sign a long-term deal before signing extensions with their teams. If Bell doesn’t get significantly more than those two players, the tides may not rise for the other backs as much as Gordon seems to hope they will.

Another day Black Brian Dawkins Jerseys , another bit of information from fan-favorite Chris Long about whether or not he plans to retire this offseason or return to the Eagles. He mentioned just days ago that the city and fans were making the decision difficult, and while stressing his motivations were not money related — which, who would have really thought that from a guy who has given up more than a season’s worth of game checks and won Walter Payton Man of the Year — he also made it clear that the biggest factor would be his role within the defense. The Eagles have made quite a few moves so far this offseason, re-signing Brandon Graham, trading Michael Bennett and adding Malik Jackson, bringing back Vinny Curry and most-recently, re-signing Timmy Jernigan to a one-year deal.Long joined Jeff McLane and Zach Berman on the Birds Eye View podcast to go into a little more detail about his decision and his love for the city of Philadelphia. They dove right into the main interest for fans, and he said that he’s really tried to stay away from the topic as much as possible this offseason because it’s a really tough decision. He went on to say that, of course Youth Haloti Ngata Jerseys , he thinks he could go somewhere and be a starter, but the third-down action is a big part of the defense and he was still able to contribute.Long continued and noted that one of his big concerns was the perception that he’s keeping the team hostage while he makes his decision. Having someone say that the Eagles could have gotten Frank Clark if it weren’t for Long was the reason he decided to speak out about the matter. He said that he’s wishing the team a lot of luck in the NFL Draft this weekend, and ultimately really appreciates Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson and the team being upfront and honest about the whole situation.Long was then asked what role would it take for him to come back — and whether it was that third-down role he had the past two seasons — and the DE was honest and said, “It really ain’t happening”. He also said that stranger things have happened, but he doesn’t wish for things to change, because for things to change that means someone would need to get hurt.Long emphasized he’s just too old to be in a situation that isn’t perfect for both sides, and he holds no ill will and certainly isn’t holding the organization hostage. He said he still wants to play, but he wants a lot of things Haloti Ngata Jerseys Stitched , and that doesn’t mean they’re all going to happen.Long did leave the door open a little bit, saying that he’d never experienced a loss quite as bitter as in the playoffs last year. He knows this is an Eagles team that will be in the hunt for the next couple of years, and after the Saints loss, he was watching the Super Bowl wishing he was playing in that game.Falcons writer gives three reasons why the Eagles will win on Thursday night The Eagles opened their Week 1 game against the Falcons as heavy favorites but the line has been moving in Atlanta’s favor ever since Nick Foles was confirmed as Philadelphia’s starting quarterback. If you’re among those who might not be feeling super confident in the Eagles for some reason, today’s post might have you feeling a little better about the reigning Super Bowl champs.Bleeding Green Nation already took some time to chat with The Falcoholic in order to preview this week’s matchup. (You can read that here.) Today, we’re back with three reasons why each team might lose. This format forces us to consider each team’s weaknesses, rather than just being homers. So, below are three reasons why the Falcons could lose, as written by The Falcoholic’s Dave Choate. Stay tuned to The Falcoholic to see why I think the Eagles could lose.I certainly hope the Falcons won’t lose Youth Nigel Bradham Jerseys , but there’s a reason the Eagles are pretty widely favored in this game. Playing at time and with plenty of talent, they can take this one even if they’re not totally healthy, especially if the Falcons don’t play the caliber of football they’re capable of. Here are three reasons why the Falcons will lose this game, though I hope none of them come to pass. 1) The pass rush doesn’t show up. This is one of my nagging concerns left after the offseason, as the team almost certainly downgraded from Dontari Poe along the defensive front and added no high-end talent up front whatsoever, no matter how promising rookie defensive tackle Deadrin Senat is.The Falcons have a pair of potentially elite pass rushers in Vic Beasley and Takkarist McKinley, but this is just Takk’s second season in the NFL, and Beasley has mixed one utterly brilliant season with two good ones where the production was a bit of a question mark. Grady Jarrett isn’t quite Aaron Donald, though he’s quite good Nigel Bradham Jerseys Stitched , and the rest of the defense has a ton of talent but a fairly mixed track record when chasing down quarterbacks. Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell has some upside and may line up closer to the line of scrimmage some this year, and cornerback Brian Poole is one of the league’s best blitzers at the position. That’s still about it.What I’m trying to say, in a roundabout way, is that this may be merely a good pass rush and not a great one. Philadelphia’s good enough to stymie Atlanta in that regard, and if they do, I can’t say I’m hugely confident the Falcons will win.2) Steve Sarkisian still isn’t ready. We’re hearing now that [new Falcons quarterbacks coach] Greg Knapp is going to have a much more active role in the offense than anticipated, but for someone who remembers the Michael Vick offenses under Knapp, that’s not necessarily a thrilling prospect. If the offensive play calling isn’t up to snuff, the Falcons may scuffle to be the elite offense they should be Tommy McDonald Jerseys Stitched , especially against quality defenses. You saw firsthand in the Divisional Round back in January that for all its weapons, Atlanta can still fall flat without inspired and smart scheming.3) The offensive line can’t hold up. We know that the Eagles can attack the Falcons ferociously up front, and the line has all the pieces it needs to in order to survive that assault. The question, again, is whether they will.A year ago we saw left tackle Jake Matthews struggle with speed and power off the edge at times. We didn’t see Andy Levitre, who is hopefully healthy after suffering a triceps injury that kept him out against Philadelphia a year ago. And we have no real idea of what to expect from Brandon Fusco, the new starting guard and a rock solid run blocker who may or may not be a major upgrade in pass protection. I worry plenty about who is going to be stuck covering Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, but the possibility that Matt Ryan could be under fire often in this one worries me more.

Taven Bryan stunk out loud learning a new position and D.J. Chark wasn’t very productive in the worst passing offense in the NFL. (Shocker!)Ronnie Harrison showed signs of being a stud of a third round pick and if Will Richardson can compete for a starting position and become depth at worse Youth Keelan Cole Jerseys , that’s not a bad fourth round pick either. Logan Cooke in the seventh was a needed pick and Leon Jacobs showed flashes, which is more than expected out of the 230th overall pick. What do you think? Should Kiper have given the Jaguars a higher grade or is a C about right? Let us know in the comments below! What makes Blake Bortles so good in the red zone? The Jacksonville Jaguars were good in the red zone last year. As in, better than almost every other team in the league type of good — and no one contributed to that than quarterback Blake Bortles, who is an extremely volatile player. That is Keelan Cole Jerseys Stitched , he can go stretches where he would be considered one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the league and then make a decision that is so mind-numbingly frustrating that all you can do is scratch your head and wonder if you’re even watching the same player. For 80 yards on the field, Bortles goes back and forth between great and awful, but in the red zone — those final 20 yards before the goal line — Bortles seems to flip a switch and I’ve always wondered how that can be.This week, we’re taking a look at several aspects of this year’s Jaguars team with the help of Football Outsider’s Andrew Potter who was kind enough to try and explain what makes Bortles so much more effective and productive in the red zone. What do you think? Will Bortles’ effectiveness in the red zone continue into 2018 Black Niles Paul Jerseys , or will teams finally figure out how to shut down the most redeeming part of Bortles’ play?

Bouye against Philadelphia in London on Sunday. The Jaguars (3-4) ruled Bouye out Thursday Youth Justin Blackmon Jerseys , saying he did not make the overseas trip. The team also will be without backup cornerback Tyler Patmon because of a neck injury. Patmon also remained in Jacksonville.Cornerback D.J. Hayden (toe) made the flight, but he’s unlikely to play because of a lingering toe injury. Hayden has missed five consecutive games and hasn’t practiced since Sept. 21.Bouye missed practice Thursday after sustaining a calf injury in drills the day before.Without them, the Jaguars will have three undrafted rookie cornerbacks to play alongside All-Pro Jalen Ramsey.Tre’ Herndon or fellow undrafted rookie Quenton Meeks is expected to start, and newly signed Dee Delaney will serve as a backup. Meeks started the season on the practice squad, and Delaney was promoted to the 53-man roster Thursday. The team placed linebacker Donald Payne (knee) on IR.“I’m definitely looking forward to it,” said Meeks Justin Blackmon Jerseys Stitched , a former starter at Stanford. “It’s a chance to fill in for A.J. Nationally televised football let’s goooooooooooooooo! Before the game begins, we wanted to ask the Big Cat Country team (and you!) a simple question:“How will the Jaguars do against the Titans today?”Alfie Crow (@AlfieBCC)On the back of an amazing defensive effort and some risky decisions by the Indianapolis Colts the Jaguars snapped their losing streak. Against the Titans however Youth Logan Cooke Jerseys , it’s almost a mirror match and they have the quarterback who always kills the Jaguars.Titans win 13-10Ryan Day (@ryaneatscake)The homer in me can’t stop and won’t stop. I hope we burn down their stadium on the way out the door. I’m probably gonna be wrong but I don’t care because the Titans are the wooooooooooorst.Jaguars win 16-10Jon Kirland (@BCBCouch)I think this Jaguars defense is actually playing pissed off for a myriad of reasons, and a pissed off defense is good enough to shut down any offense. With the egos on that side of the ball and this being the lone prime time game, I look for that side to really be dominant tonight. That said, I can’t trust this offensive line and Cody Kessler against a Titans defense that has our number in their house on a short week... but I’ll be damned if I ever pick the Titans to win anything in life other than a cousin-mating contest.Jaguars win 16-6Ryan O’Bleness (@ryanobleness)It certainly is looking like another low-scoring game where the team that punches the other team in the mouth more often is going to win. Leonard Fournette is back from suspension, which should only help the offense, but I still struggle to see a way where Cody Kessler leads the offense to a lot of points. If Jacksonville’s defense carries over the momentum from last week Logan Cooke Jerseys Stitched , and the offense shows up at all, the Jags will win this game. If the Jaguars get a similar offensive performance to last week, the Titans will win this game, no matter how well the defense plays (as we saw in Week 3). I wouldn’t be surprised to see either result, but I have to give the slight edge to the Titans playing at home against an inexperienced quarterbackTitans win 13-10Brian Fullford (@iambwf)The Jaguars last won in Nashville in 2013. It probably means nothing but it’s worth noting. This game is all about stopping Marcus Mariota on the ground, and frankly I have no faith that will happen. The offense is what it is Youth Abry Jones Jerseys , so that doesn’t help either. My bold prediction is that the Jaguars are shut out.Titans win 13-0Filip Prus (@JaxonFil)Look... to be the guy, you’ve got to beat the guy, and the Jaguars simply haven’t been able to beat this Titans consistently. Mobile quarterbacks continue to plague the lack of speed on the Jags defensive line and that likely continues this week. My guess is Leonard Fournette finds the end zone once and the Titans will struggle in the red zone, allowing kicker Ryan Succop to win the game for them with four field goals. I will not pick them to beat the Titans until they do. They haven’t earned it.Titans win 12-10What do you think? Got any predictions? What do you think the final score will be?
There are many ways, but none are as truly transcendent

Previously on Number Mill: Cam Meredith | Markus Wheaton / DVOA | Dontrelle Inman | Chiefs Offense | FA Receivers 1 | FA Receivers 2 | FA Edge Rushers / SAQ | Trubisky’s rookie performance / Odds Ratios | HeatvantageThere are many ways of measuring a pass rusher’s production Pat O'Donnell Jersey , from total sacks, to total pressures, to combined units such as Pro Football Focus’ PRP (Pass rush productivity).or narrowly-revered as the Sack Attack Quotient (SAQ), developed by myself last off-season in an effort to sort through the dregs of free agent past rushers. For those that missed it, the SAQ is a combined unit which weighs a player’s sacks, hurries, and hits based on their relative value on affecting a football game. The SAQ is reported as sack equivalents per 100 pass rush attempts, treating a hit as .25 sack equivalents and a hurry as .1 sack equivalents. Unfortunately, I must keep secret the number of sack equivalents a sack is worth to protect my proprietary formula.Having arguably the best pass rusher in football on the Bears, I’ve been eager to take a look at how Khalil Mack performs according to my precious SAQ metric. The difficulty in calculating the sack is that it requires knowing how many of a player’s snaps are actual pass rush attempts—data which is not readily available. I’ve recently gotten my paws on pass rush attempt numbers during Khalil Mack’s career courtesy of PFF http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-long-jersey , so let’s dig in!2018 SAQ Leaders (data through week 12)Top 100 SAQ leaders for 2018 weeks 1 through 12. Minimum 100 pass rush attempts. Ok. What in the cheese-mold depths of the nine yellow and gold hells happened here? Clearly, in sample sizes under 150 pass rush attempts, this metric is vulnerable to spurious results. I need a do-over.2018 SAQ Leaders (with at least 150 pass rush attempts)Top SAQ leaders 2018 weeks 1 through 12. Minimum 150 pass rush attempts. Ok. At least this is not painful to look at. It’s also not as pleasing as I’d hoped. Khalil Mack sits all the way down at 18th in terms of SAQ this year. And remember, this is a per rush attempt metric, so missing games doesn’t hurt him. Playing hurt, however, certainly did hurt him. SAQ is a measure of production and not talent. Most importantly, it doesn’t account for the way teams game-plan against Mack. It doesn’t account for double teams, triple teams, fast-pass play-calling, or quarterbacks rolling away from Mack’s direction every drop back out of subconscious primal fear. What is encouraging is seeing five Bears in the top 100 (4 once I dropped out the low sample size Bilal Nichols). On average Womens Tom Waddle Jersey , each team should have three on this list, and the high amount of Navy and Orange representation confirms what we already know: the Bears pass rush is good.I still am not happy with Khalil Mack being 18th on my list. Not so much because it makes him look bad, but because I’m afraid it makes my metric look bad. In an attempt to salvage the SAQs reputation, I went back for the past 4 years and collected cumulative stats for all players with top 100 SAQ ratings in each of those 4 years. I set those criteria because consistency and availability are both highly valuable traits that our big beautiful Bear specializes in.Perhaps the most concerning thing on this table is staring at us right at the top. This Sunday night, rookie James Daniel and replacement Bryan Witzmann are scheduled to face Aaron Donald, the man with the most productive pass-rushing season this year. I’ve known Donald was having a good season, and I’ve seen a few Rams games, but seeing these numbers confirms that Donald is having the best pass-rushing season by an interior lineman of all time. Donald is getting as much attention from offensive coordinators as Mack and still producing at a record-breaking level.Dammit. I want that man in a Bear costume. And a navy uniform.4-year SAQ rating for all players with a top 100 SAQ finish in each of the last 4 yearsAll players who ranked in the top 100 SAQ every year 2015-2018. Minimum 100 pass rush attempts yearly. Aside from Mario Addison poking his underrated nose in and making me look bad, this table reads closer to what I expected to see. Von Miller is allowed to be ahead of Mack because he’s aging out anyway and he’s benefited from elite talent across from him in Demarcus Ware and Bradley Chubb. And Aaron Donald is allowed to be ahead of Mack because I’m coming to believe he’s the best player in the NFL.Also, haayyyyy Akiem. I see you staying all consistent and available down there too.SAQ is a measure of production. Production doesn’t always accurately represent talent. Perhaps the fact that Khalil Mack doesn’t have top production is actually a sign that he’s better than everyone—it reflects just how far opponents go out of their way to limit his production. But under Dan Quinn, it’s possible that a couple guys could make the roster, and even contribute, like Brian Poole. Our way-too-early roster projections suggest one or two undrafted players can make the final roster, with a lot more filling out the practice squad. Of note is Chandler Miller who may stick around just because the Falcons have no depth behind Alex Mack. The Falcons could have space for a linebacker to provide better depth behind the starters. UGA’s Stanley, however, will need to have a strong camp to battle through the crowded corner depth chart. It won’t be until training camp until we know which players start shining and demanding consideration to make the final 53.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers said on Monday

That’s obviously the ultimate goal for a team that went 12-4 last year White Joey Bosa Jerseys , but Rivers said that the team needs to work “one day at a time” and one goal at a time as they work their way through 2019. The Chargers’ 12-4 record didn’t get them any home playoff games because the Chiefs won the division and Rivers said that taking the AFC West comes before any other tea goals this season.“What we’ve talked about forever since I’ve been here is how important winning the division is,” Rivers said. “That’s always going to be our first goal is finding a way to win the division, which we didn’t do. We had opportunities to do [it]. You look through those games we let get away those end up making it tougher on the path.”The Chargers haven’t won the division since a streak of four straight titles came to an end after the 2009 season and they failed to make the playoffs three times with a winning record over the last decade. That further illustrates the importance of getting the job done in the regular season before moving on to the next task. Now that they’ve gotten rid of their offensive stars, the Steelers may look to replace them.According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com Joey Bosa Jerseys 2019 , the Steelers have inquired about Chargers free agent wide receiver Tyrell Williams, along with other cheaper options.Williams is ranked 36th on PFT’s Top 100 list, and one of the top 10 remaining players on the board after the early pre-free agency flurry. He’d add a significant presence back to an offense that let running back Le'Veon Bell walk in free agency and traded Antonio Brown. While they plugged James Conner in for Bell last year and seem content at that position, they clearly need to add a receiver or two.Williams caught 41 passes for 653 yards and five touchdowns for the Chargers last year White Melvin Gordon Jerseys , and that 15.9-yard average would make him a big-play complement to JuJu Smith-Schuster.Other teams that have been mentioned in connection with Williams have acquired other receivers, including the Raiders (Brown), the Browns (Odell Beckham Jr.), and to a lesser degree the Colts (Devin Funchess).

Eagles’ red zone run concepts provide a boost

The Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles had a peculiar problem in 2017. Despite having a backfield featuring sledgehammers LeGarrette Blount and Jay Ajayi Reggie White Jersey , the red zone was not an area where they thrived pounding the rock. They ranked towards the bottom of the league in rushing touchdowns and conversions from inside the 20 and struggled to punch through from 5 yards and in. The fault wasn’t that of Ajayi, however, who didn’t receive any touches from within 5 yards.Projecting a positive regression to the mean regarding red zone efficiency, I cited Ajayi’s career 5 for 11 touchdown rate before coming to Philadelphia. In the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, Ajayi added on to his past success. He toted the rock on 2 red zone carries for 12 yards and 2 touchdowns. The first came in the 3rd quarter; a go-ahead score from the 1-yard line on a well designed inside run.Your browser does not support HTML5 video. What helps this play work is the Eagles use of jet motion and the unbalanced line. They screw with the snap timing a little, snapping it before tight end Josh Perkins screams across the formation. Instead of being merely used to take the defensive back with him, he lunges to get in the way of defensive end Vic Beasley. This allows Jason Peters, who is lined up outside of Lane Johnson, to get a piece of linebacker Duke Riley. Johnson does his part by showcasing his elite athleticism, securing a reach block on Grady Jarrett with the help of Brandon Brooks. A tick late to the hole, Riley and safety Ricardo Allen are unable to stuff the powerful Ajayi. The second of Ajayi’s touchdowns was even sexier. Down two points with a little over two minutes left in the game, the Eagles dialed up a pin-pull concept that they pulled off with flawless execution. Here’s the pre-snap look and how it’s drawn up:Eagles go heavy, so they’ve got their regular offensive line alignment, but they added Isaac Seumalo lined up outside of Lane Johnson. Zach Ertz is aligned outside of Jason Peters.Falcons safety Ricardo Allen is initially aligned over on Ertz’s side, but before the snap he goes to the heavy side with Seumalo. As Allen is flying across the formation, Nick Foles stands up and wipes his chest, and it’s an educated guess in saying that he’s flipping the play.To the playside you’ve got 4-on-4, here’s what happens:Your browser does not support HTML5 video.Ertz pins the 5-tech to allow Peters to pull.Left tackle Peters pulls into space and displaces linebacker De’Vondre Campbell who is attempting to set the edge, which is a huge size mismatch.Left guard Stefen Wisniewski pins the 1-tech allowing Jason Kelce to pull.Center Kelce cuts off linebacker Deion Jones who is shooting his gap.Right guard Brandon Brooks, despite being grabbed, climbs and reach blocks the backside linebacker Foye Oluokun to seal him off from the play.Right tackle Johnson, who is unable to reach Jarrett, transitions to a modified “slingshot” technique and finishes with a pancake.Ajayi reads hats on the edge and finds a line before running through the attempted tackle by Allen for a touchdown. This is a positive grade for every player involved on this touchdown, with a bonus gold star for Johnson for his high difficulty slingshot. This is the type of execution that lacked at times for the Eagles and it’s of note that they didn’t attempt these pin/pull concepts to the left much when Halapoulivaati Vaitai replaced the injured Peters last year. The return of the athletic Peters allows the Eagles to use this concept ambidextrously and more effectively. It’s still early, but so far the red zone running for the Eagles has been lights out. That’s a big boost for an offense that has yet to find it’s way with several starters missing from the line-up. Reports indicate Wilson’s four-year contract is worth a total of $140 million, which comes out to a whopping $35 million per year. Wilson’s new deal has some implications for the Eagles, especially as it relates to Carson Wentz’s future. Here are some thoughts on the matter. The Kist & Solak Show #91: NFL Draft Big Board Fight! - BGN RadioMichael Kist and Benjamin Solak get into it with their yearly 2019 NFL Draft Big Board Fight! Powered by SB Nation and Bleeding Green Nation.Eagles 2019 NFL Draft preview: Interior offensive line - PhillyVoiceGarrett Bradbury, North Carolina State (6’3, 306): Bradbury will be a first round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after winning the Rimington Trophy (nation’s top center), impressing at the Senior Bowl, and then killing it at the Combine. Bradbury enrolled at NC State as a tight end, but he moved to guard, and eventually landed at center. Bradbury has outstanding athleticism, but is also powerful enough to handle the big-bodied nose tackle types that Kelce struggled with earlier in his career, even if undersized. If he isn’t gone by the time the Eagles pick, they’d have to consider him.Excited Eagles in final stages of NFL Draft prep time - PE.comThe NFL Draft, the league’s most impactful offseason event, begins next Thursday and the Eagles have an opportunity to build to an already-talented roster with three selections among the first 57, with seven picks in all. Howie Roseman and Joe Douglas made their annual media rounds on Tuesday at the NovaCare Complex, obviously staying close to the vest on information but also expressing the understanding of the opportunity immediately in front of them. “We have a lot of opportunity here with three picks in the top 57 to really get our kind of guy and get some difference makers in here,” said Douglas, the Eagles’ vice president of personnel. “So, yeah, it’s a very important draft.”Carson Wentz knows DeSean Jackson is a deep threat like he’s never had - NBCSP“It’s exciting. It’s, without a doubt, exciting. You see the guy, obviously, the guy is getting up there in age, but the guy still runs like the wind. Impressive on film, [saw] it last year opening play of the game we played them. The guy’s still got it. It’s Zach Ertz Jerseys Stitched , without a doubt, exciting. I think he’ll bring a dynamic aspect to our offense. Whether he’s catching balls during the game or whether he’s opening things up underneath, I’m really excited to have him.”Projecting the most likely Pro Bowl players in the 2019 NFL draft class - ESPN In$ider3. Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson — Pro Bowl-caliber chance: 53 percent. What happens in our model when a prospect barely participates in drills at the combine? The model works with what is available. Whatever information it has -- in this case, height, weight, wingspan, 40-yard dash and bench press -- to project how the player would have performed in the other events. While Lawrence’s speed didn’t stand out, his overall size does. And so when combined with the size, his speed actually is quite impressive. That combo is the real driver here. Add that into a solid Scouts Inc. grade (88) -- which is the largest factor in the model -- and it thinks Lawrence has a high chance of becoming one of the league’s top defensive tackles.Solak: Cornerback Rankings - The Draft Network1) Butler, Iowa State (721): Hakeem Butler is so much more than a big-bodied possession receiver. The 6-foot-5, 227-pound Iowa State product can stretch the field, as evidenced by his FBS-high 721 deep receiving yards in 2018. He caught 19-of-37 targets, including eight contested catches, of 20-plus yards for 721 yards and four touchdowns in 2018.NFL Draft Analytics Top 300 - RotoworldThese running backs are sorted by projected approximate value per game. Since there are two models here, it’s possible that a running back with a worse percentile is listed above a running back with a higher percentile. … Underrated: Darrell Henderson, Bryce Love if healthy, Darwin Thompson, James Williams, Alexander Mattison, Mike Weber. … Overrated: Josh Jacobs if he goes top-25, David Montgomery, Alex Barnes, Benny Snell. One Play to Explain Each of the 2019 NFL Draft’s Top Prospects - The RingerMarquise Brown is fast. He’s, like, really fast. He’s fast out of his stance. He’s fast while eating up a defensive back’s cushion. And he’s fast at running away from defenders at the third level. Take this play against Oklahoma State, where Brown, running a simple deep crosser from the slot, beats cornerback Tanner McCalister in a foot race to the end zone. It doesn’t even look fair. When going up against Brown, defenses need help over the top for their help over the top. Brown’s tape is littered with deep bombs like this Youth Carson Wentz Jerseys , but his speed shows up on more than just deep routes. He’s dangerous after the catch and is tough to handle on screen plays. After undergoing Lisfranc surgery, the former Sooner will have to prove he hasn’t lost any of that rare, blazing speed. If he hasn’t, don’t be surprised when he’s running past defensive backs very early in his career.NFL players host community forum with district attorney candidate on criminal justice reform - WTAEFormer Pittsburgh Steeler Will Allen and Philadelphia Eagles player Malcolm Jenkins are using their stardom to bring attention to criminal justice reform. Allen said, “To (those whom) much is given, much is required. I know people say it in a cliché manner, but whenever you have a platform of influence that is the mentality you should have, one of humility and service.” The two are part of the nonprofit group Players Coalition.Daniel Jeremiah Mock Draft 3.0 - Daniel Jones to the Giants at sixth overall - Big Blue ViewJones had the 13th highest completion rate out of 22 quarterback prospects, and things got worse from there. His yards per completion was the lowest, success rate was third lowest, success rate was third-lowest, marginal efficiency was the lowest, and adjusted net yards per attempt was the second worst in the class. If history (strongly) suggests that those marks are his ceiling in the NFL, that is a worrying prospect for drafting him at any point, let alone sixth overall. [BLG Note: Do it, Gettleman!]Cardinals’ non-Kyler Options at No. 1, Montez Sweat Off Some Boards, More Draft Thoughts - MMQBWe’ve been bullish on the stock of LSU’s Devin White and Michigan’s Devin Bush over the last few weeks (check out the MMQB’s latest mock draft), and one reason why is because there’s not a lot of depth in the off-ball linebackers behind them. Alabama’s Mack Wilson is probably the next guy, and he’s more of a two-down linebacker. And after that, there’s another dropoff. So teams that need one, like Oakland, Tampa, Denver and Cincinnati, can make sense of the idea of taking White or Bush at a higher point than guys at those positions usually go.How a ‘shadow’ helped set up the Eli Manning-Philip Rivers trade, according to the GMs who made it happen - SB NationWith the Chargers’ and Giants’ trade now 15 years in the rearview mirror, A.J. The Jags will try to avenge a Week 3 9-6 loss to the Titans in Jacksonville, while trying to not embarrass themselves on national television.Follow along with us all night as we live blog the action, leave your comments below, and stay with us for post-game coverage.Live Blog11:20 PM: The Titans are able to run down the clock and complete the obliteration of the Jags, 30-9. Good night, everyone!11:00 PM: The Jaguars, after forcing a punt and being in complete “F it” mode, once again come up short on 4th down as Moncrief drops a pass in his hands that would’ve been well enough to move the chains.10:36 PM: After a couple of nice completions to Westbrook, Kessler leads the Jags into scoring territory and connects with Westbrook for a touchdown in the back right end zone. 30-9 Titans.10:27 PM: Henry takes the ball and runs untouched for long measures of distance and scores points on the very next play. 30-2 Titans and we still have 5:22 in the 3rd quarter and Henry is up to 219 yards rushing.10:22 PM: Kessler completes a 45 yard bomb to someone named Keelan Cole, then gets rocked on a broken protection by the line, and fumbles it away to the Titans. Cody didn’t stand a chance on the play.10:16 PM: Tennessee drives it down the field with the assistance of some of the worst tackling a Jaguars team has ever displayed. Henry waltzes into the end zone basically untouched from 14 yards out for the score. 23-2 Titans in the 3rd quarter, but this one is over, folks.10:05 PM: The Jags opening drive of the second half is marred by the worst damn holding calls in the history of the sport. I’m not even kidding. Titans take over inside their 30. The NFL officiating this year has been a huge pile of dung.9:44 PM: The Titans move the ball but settle for a Ryan Succop field goal before the clock runs out on the first half. Tennessee leads 16-2 in what is likely an insurmountable lead.9:31 PM: The Titans and Jags trade three and outs, and now Logan Cooke shanks a punt with Tennessee taking over at their own 40 with 1:17 left in the half.9:21 PM: The Jaguars move the ball to the Titans 45 before Kessler is sacked on third and five by Jerrell Casey. Punt is downed inside the Titans 5 yard line Black Andrew Norwell Jerseys , but clearly that doesn’t matter much tonight.9:11 PM: Derrick Henry runs off tackle, stiff arms AJ Bouye and Leon Jacobs, and runs 98 yards for a touchdown. Folks, this is probably going to get ugly now. 13-2 Titans, as Succop misses the extra point.9:07 PM: Well, the Jaguars, and Kessler especially, do a great job moving the ball through the air and all the way down to the Titans 3 yard line...but are unable to convert following three failed Fournette attempts and an incomplete pass to Tommy Bohanon where he appeared to be held by a Titans defender, but of course there is no call. Jags miss a huge opportunity, and Titans take over at their 3 yard line. 7-2 Titans, 2nd quarter.8:55 PM: That’s the end of the first quarter, here’s a look at the safety.8:51 PM: SAFETY! Weird turn of events here. The Jags are forced to punt after going three and out, but Titans returner Batson muffs the punt and tries to pick it up in the end zone and run it back, where he is met by Leon Jacobs and Quenton Meeks who tackle him for the safey. Jags will receive the free kick. Titans lead 7-2.8:44 PM: INTERCEPTION! Mariota air mails a pass intended for Sharpe, and into the waiting hands of Ronnie Harrison Andrew Norwell Jerseys 2019 , who makes his first career pick. Jaguars needed that one as the Titans were once again driving into Jax territory. Jags ball at around their own 40 yard line. Still 7-0 Titans, in the first quarter.8:39 PM: After a couple of first downs, that included a nice 10 yard throw from Cody Kessler to Donte Moncrief, the Jags do nothing more as Kessler is hammered on 3rd & 9. Jags punt it away into Titans territory. 8:29 PM: And just like that, it’s 7-0 Titans. Tennessee goes 73 yards on 10 plays as the Titans use Deion Lewis and the screen game to gash the Jags defense down the field, ending in a Derrick Henry 3 yard plunge into the end zone. Not the start I expected from a defense that’s been lights out for most of the last month.8:23 PM: Titans will start at their own 27.8:20 PM:We are set to kick off from Nashville. The Jaguars have won the toss and deferred, the Titans offense gets first dibs.7:48 PM: And in a spot on the NFL on FOX’s coverage tonight, insider Jay Glazer confirms that the Jaguars will indeed move on from Blake Bortles after the season is over. Nothing we didn’t know, but the two top national insiders confirming it gives it a lot more substance.7:30 PM: While we wait, NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport gave a rundown on some rumored changes coming for the Jags this off-season. 7:18 PM: The Jaguars have released tonight’s inactive list and to some surprise, safety Barry Church is a healthy inactive. Church was benched last Sunday for rookie Ronnie Harrison, in a sign the team may be ready to move on for good with the younger, less expensive option at the position, and it appears that move is permanent and Barry Church’s career as a Jaguar has come to an end.7:10 PM: Good evening! The Jaguars will do their best to try and shut out a team for the second consecutive week as that appears to be their most likely path to victory with an absolute atrocity on offense. We will see what impact Leonard Fournette has, in his return from suspension and in his first test of the season against the Titans. The Jacksonville Jaguars will agree to terms to sign free agent quarterback Nick Foles when NFL free agency opens on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET Black Landry Jones Jerseys , according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Jaguars..."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Jaguars Free Agency 2016Jaguars Film RoomNFL DraftJaguars Injury NewsLatest NewsNick Foles to sign with Jaguars, per reportsNew,496commentsEDTShareTweetShareShareNick Foles to sign with Jaguars, per reportsJames Lang-USA TODAY SportsThe Jacksonville Jaguars will agree to terms to sign free agent quarterback Nick Foles when NFL free agency opens on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Jaguars had been the leaders in the clubhouse for Foles for most of this offseason and some would say really the only one in the clubhouse for the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and Super Bowl MVP.As expected, the Jaguars will be bringing in the veteran quarterback to replace Blake Bortles. I’d anticipate the Jaguars release Bortles shortly after the Foles deal becomes official, as the team prepares to move forward with the former Eagles quarterback at the helm with his former quarterbacks coach and now current Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo.Foles was originally a third round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft. He started a handful of games as a rookie and looked as you’d expect a third round rookie quarterback to look like. In his next season he came in as the backup and had an incredible season with Chip Kelly, making the Pro Bowl throwing 27 touchdowns with only two interceptions an 8-2 record as a starter. Foles entered the 2014 season as the starter, but despite going 6-2 he had a rough start to the season with 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions before ending the season with a broken collerbone and on injured reserve.Foles was traded to the then St. Louis Rams and was absolutely dreadful in his 11 starts, picking up a 4-7 record and throwing more interceptions than touchdowns. In fairness, this was when Jeff Fisher was the head coach of the Rams and he’d been a quarterback killer for a few seasons by then and Foles was the next victim. After a backup stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, Foles followed newly hired head coach Doug Pederson back to the Philadelphia Eagles to backup Carson Wentz. Foles came in at the end of the season when Wentz got hurt and helped pilot the team to a 2-1 finish and then exploded in the playoffs ultimately to a Super Bowl victory and earning the MVP of the game.Last season Foles came in again for an injured Carson Wentz to start the season and it appeared the magic might have been gone, limping to a 1-1 start. Wentz went down again late in the year and Foles gave the Eagles season a spark winning the last three games to send the team to the playoffs. The Foles magic looked back in the Wild Card round as the Eagles drove down late to score and had a nice double-doink field goal miss to hold on. The next week against the Saints however, it was tough sledding and the Eagles got bounced. The Jaguars are signing Foles to lead the way since they still feel they have a good team that can make the playoffs and the 2018 season was just a result of Blake Bortles turning back into Blake Bortles and the team being ravaged by injuries. The hope will be that Foles is that calming force who is going to keep you in games and even drive down the field late and win a few for you.

The three were told that one of them would be named today, Friday, February 1. In part one I analyzed each players’ play individually before concluding that Amos was the better player. That said, I also mentioned that I couldn’t evaluate which of them would play better without looking at how they fit into their new defenses. So let’s do just that, starting off with...Adrian Amos and the PackersHere are a few stills of the defense Green Bay employed against Seattle (after Clinton-Dix was traded). Take a look at how they line up.As you can see, Green Bay employed a lot of single-high concepts while occasionally using two deep safeties. I would’ve thought they’d switch to more two-deep concepts once Clinton-Dix left Tarik Cohen Jerseys Stitched , but Pettine kept his defense relatively consistent. I think this means that we can expect the Packers’ defense to continue using plenty of single-high looks going forward. This actually makes me worry a bit for Amos — I think that Amos, while a very talented safety, plays his worst football in single-high coverage. As discussed in part one, his lack of instinct makes him slow to react to deeper throws and ultimately keeps him from reaching the ball soon enough to stop long gains. Amos theoretically has the speed to play the position, but that speed doesn’t translate into enough range to properly defend the edges (which you need out of a single-high safety). I think the best path to forming a great Packer secondary would be to draft a FS-type to pair with Amos. From there, count on corner development, set aside Amos’s high contract value, and leave him to work in the box where he’s at his best. This would allow him to continue supporting the run and forcing plays deep, which the drafted safety could capitalize on. I say this because they need a ball hawk badly; the Packers were tied for 2nd worst in the NFL last year with 7 INTs. Of those 7 INTs, Green Bay’s safeties only caught 3 of them. Who caught those 3? Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.Bottom line, the Packers shouldn’t make Adrian Amos something he’s not or they’ll regret it. But enough about Green Bay, let’s talk about...Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and the BearsHere are a few stills I took from various games throughout the year — note the pre/post snap looks against Seattle. While no one knows what exactly the Bears’ D will look like (due to the departure of Vic Fangio), almost every Bears defensive play involved two safeties of varied depth. They’d work to disguise FS/SS responsibility and often ended up in a high-low formation during the play. This left one safety deep (usually Jackson) and one safety closer to the line of scrimmage (usually Amos). The trouble here is that I’m not sure where Clinton-Dix fits — while you’d obviously think he’d do well as the high safety, Eddie Jackson’s emergence as one of the league’s best deep safeties could push Clinton-Dix into a more box-oriented role. As we’ve discussed, that’s not his forte. This has led me to believe that the Bears may have more faith in Deon Bush more than we realize — Bush is, for those who don’t know, a hard-hitting 4th year S that impressed in camp before starting our final 3 games of the season. He is, as a colleague of mine coined him, “a poor man’s Adrian Amos”.Take a look at how well he comes downfield to hit in the following video package.Bush’s first three starts displayed much of the same range Youth Eddie Jackson Jerseys , tenacity, and hitting prowess that made Adrian Amos so successful. It may sound simple, but I was especially impressed with how Bush’s tackling rarely gave up extra yardage to runners. He seemed to struggle a bit in his first start (SF), but by the playoff game looked as if he felt much more comfortable attacking downhill.Bush also showed better coverage capabilities than I expected, especially considering I’d heard he was terrible while defending the pass. Note how on 3rd and Goal in the playoffs Foles looks for Ertz first — Bush has him covered, forcing Foles to Jeffery instead. Regardless of his assignment’s simplicity, it’s good to see Bush hold up under pressure with the stakes as high as they were. While his coverage skills aren’t above average, he doesn’t come across as an outright liability. But remember, Deon Bush is not a man without flaws. Throughout his first 3 starts he missed a tackle, took a bad angle, and allowed underneath gains through the air. Were these new-starter mistakes? We’d hope so, but 3 years of failing to break into the defensive rotation suggests Bush might “just not have it”. 3 mistakes don’t define a player, of course, but I want to be clear that Bush’s tape shows plenty of room for improvement.Overall I won’t be shocked to see Pagano use Bush as a hitter in dime/big nickel packages in 2019. With Clinton-Dix and Jackson back deep, Bush would support the defense against the runs and short passes that Clinton-Dix struggles against. Frankly, I won’t be surprised if we see Bush sub in for Clinton-Dix against run-heavy formations either. I say all this because scouting Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Deon Bush made one thing crystal clear to me: the Bears signed Clinton-Dix to ensure they have depth at Free Safety in case Eddie Jackson gets hurt again. Philadelphia victimized Amos (not Bush) throughout the playoff game, so Ryan Pace responded by ensuring the Bears’ safety room includes more than one deep playmaker. Put another way, the safety tandems of Jackson+Clinton-Dix, Jackson+Bush Eddie Jackson Jerseys Stitched , and Clinton-Dix+Bush are all better than the pair of Bush+Amos, and I don’t think that’s by accident.Final ThoughtsAdrian Amos’s success in Green Bay will all depend on how he’s used. Amos can provide plenty of stability to the Packers’ secondary so long as he’s not asked to be “the star ball hawk”. If he’s asked to be play deep too often, I think he’ll fail. But if they let him play his game, if they let him clean up short passes while offering his brand of run support, I think he’ll be the leader they paid 36 million dollars for. Draft a safety that plays the ball in the air well and Green Bay will have a defensive backfield worth paying attention to.Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, on the other hand, has plenty of upside to bring to the Bears so long as his deficiencies are covered for. Because of his struggles tackling downfield, Ha Ha requires the support of a true tackler beside him — I think Deon Bush could serviceably play that role in 2019. The departure of Vic Fangio makes the defense impossible to predict, but Pagano’s love of defensive backs makes me comfortable thinking that we could see more DB-heavy formations than we have in the past. I also don’t think that the Clinton-Dix signing rules out the Bears drafting a safety this year etiher — both Bush and Clinton-Dix’s contracts end after 2019, so drafting a safety now would give him a year to learn the defense before taking over full-time next to Jackson in 2020. Considering how cap-constrained the Bears’ future looks, I would imagine that’s the plan they have in mind.Adrian Amos and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix are both good players with unusual fits in their new teams’ defenses. Each has clear strengths and weaknesses that they bring to their new clubs and it’s up to those clubs to use them well. I believe that Amos can be a leader in the Packers’ secondary so long as his deep weakness is covered for, and I believe that Clinton-Dix can make the most of his ball-hawking ability given the defensive talent that’ll surround him. I don’t think there’s a clear winner in the 2019 Bears-Packers Safety Swap just yet, but I am pretty sure of one thing: September 5th, 2019 will tell us a lot about both players, and I can’t wait to see what happens.

Everything else should just be a..."The Chargers’ positions of need have all been recorded time and time again by every member of the media. It’s offensive tackle, defensive tackle, and linebacker. Everything else should just be a second thought at this point. However, this hasn’t stopped the Chargers’ brass from thinking outside the box to fill one of their most-pressing needs.According to Austin Gayle over at Pro Football Focus, the Bolts recently met with Georgia defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter, a senior defender who spent some time with the best of the best down in Mobile, Alabama for the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The spiciest tidbit from their time together? Supposedly, Ledbetter was asked if he would consider making the transition from defensive end in UGA’s front to a 3-technique in Gus Bradley’s 4-3 defense. When looking at the athletic-testing numbers from Ledbetter’s combine Kyle Emanuel Jerseys 2019 , it’s easy to see why a transition could, and maybe should, be in his future.Ledbetter measured just under 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, right where you would want a true defensive end in a 4-3 defense. However, Ledbetter was extremely underwhelming in his tests. His 5.14 forty is, quite frankly, horrendous for a player who was thought to maybe receive some looks at linebacker at the next level. His 26.5-inch vertical and 9-foot broad jump are equally as depressing in a player who was a part of such a vaunted defense in college. In the above tweet, you can see that Ledbetter’s numbers, when put up against other defensive ends in the past White Drew Kaser Jerseys , he is near the bottom of the barrel. When you put them in the context of defensive tackles, he jumps up a bit but still falls short of an “average” relative athletic score.I’m not sure where Ledbetter will eventually stick at in the NFL, but it’s nice to see the Chargers getting creative while they attempt to fix the glaring holes on this roster. Ledbetter has the experience, work-ethic, and pedigree of a guy you want on your team, but he is not without a question mark or two.The Gambler loses all but his dignity this week Hello, folks! When we last found the Degenerate Gambler on the streets of LA, we learned that he was really high on the Chargers on Sunday. The Chargers were overwhelming favorites, with -10.5 being the kickoff point deficit to clear. After all Drew Kaser Jerseys 2019 , the 49ers lost their franchise QB and the Chargers were at home with one of the best QBs in the business. A perfect plan, right? As he’s oft to do, each week he chooses $100 worth of bets.Week 4: 49ers @ Chargers Wager 1: Chargers Spread (-10.5) $50[-105] L$(50.00)Wager 2: Chargers 1st Half (23.5) $25 [-110] L$(25.00)Wager 3: 49ers (moneyline) $10 [340] L $(10.00)Wager 4: Total Over (46.5) $15 [-110] W$13.64Week 4 total:$-71.36Well. That wasn’t the best.As you know, the Chargers did end up winning the game. While the Degenerate Gambler had the correct inclination in that regard, the poor return of a moneyline bet made him consider the -10.5 point spread. No, not just consider it— to go full bore at it!As Gamblers are inclined to do, he forgot that there are no bonus points for scoring above the bare minimum to win. If everything went his way, the Gambler could have profited a maximum of $73.98 from the bets chosen. As things actually went down, our antihero was rooting for the 49ers! Once the Chargers spread had become a pipe dream White Brandon Mebane Jerseys , the 49ers nudging out a win would have netted him a smooth $34, giving him a mere -$27.36 loss for the day. That would have been a bit more palatable, but, lucky for the Chargers, he didn’t actually get his way.Perhaps he should hang it up and call it a career. Jason MichaelsBUT WAIT, DELICIOUS BETS ON THE HORIZON??The Chargers go head-to-head with the Raiders next week! The Gambler was elated that Gruden’s crew SOME HOW took home a W in overtime last week against the Cleveland Browns. The reason? If you remember from 2017, the Chargers had gone 0-4. This talented team was actually a 3.5 point UNDERDOG to the winless Giants in week 5. Oh the sweet, sweet taste of positive value! Had the Raiders gone 0-4 this year, the Chargers would certainly be favorites by at least a touchdown for the matchup. As ugly as Sunday’s win was (for both teams) Brandon Mebane Jerseys 2019 , it should improve the line to about -3.5 to -4 for the Chargers. Both of these teams are flawed, which adds nasty variance to the mix. Regardless of the final line and the final result, it’s pretty clear that the Gambler will wake up with a headache and claim his old refrain “I should’ve taken the moneyline...”-Jason “Is Bosa back yet?” Michaels

He talked about responsibility, sacrifice, work ethic and being the best versions of themselves. Dawkins then reminded the Phillies that they had a parade down Broad Street in 2008, his first taste of ultimate victory in Philadelphia .“That feeling, that sense that it could happen, it started here,” Dawkins said. “Like the so-called curse was knocked off Philadelphia. And then I think that if guys like Clemson DT Christian Wilkins, Clemson DE Clelin Ferrell, or even Oklahoma blazing WR Marquise Brown were to fall, they would all be players who could turn the Eagles into aggressors in this draft.Let’s Talk Antonio Brown - Iggles BlitzI’m sure the Eagles are curious about Brown. Any time a potential Hall of Fame player becomes available, you’d be dumb not to give a move serious consideration. Then again, why is a HOF player available? That tells you there are issues. NFL teams don’t get rid of elite talent for the heck of it.Philadelphia Eagles 2018 Season Recap - PFFWhile QB Carson Wentz took a step back from 2017 with his 79.4 overall grade, he still ranked 14th among NFL quarterbacks. Nick Foles filled in admirably during the playoff run with a 73.8 overall grade.Scouting combine sleepers who should be on Eagles radar - Morning CallMassachusetts WR Andy Isabella: Let’s get the negatives out of the way first for this prospect: He’s small (5-8, 188), susceptible to being knocked around by defenders and not a very good blocker (though more than willing). Now let’s get to what he did in Indianapolis to raise his stock: He ran a blazing 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds. His times in the three-cone drill (6.95) and 20-yard shuttle (4.15) were equally impressive. He even managed 15 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press — certainly not a terrible number for a wide receiver. Isabella also was considered to be a smart and precise route runner long before arriving at the combine. That means he can be a short-space threat as well as someone who commands defensive help over the top with his ability to get behind defenders.Five big-name free agent predictions that will have an impact on the Dallas Cowboys - Blogging The BoysBut the Eagles will keep looking for impact players at an affordable rate. With Jay Ajayi departing in free agency, the Eagles could replenish his services by adding reliable veteran running back Mark Ingram. Philadelphia likes to use an assortment of rushers for their ground attack and Ingram should be used to that. However, unlike his time in New Orleans, Ingram would be able to emerge as the lead back in Philly. Let’s hope Ingram lands on another run-heavy team like the Baltimore Ravens Nigel Bradham Jerseys 2019 , but honestly - any team that is not the Eagles will be fine by me. But even if they miss out on Ingram, they could still go after free agent Tevin Coleman.NFL Draft QB rankings - RotoworldStick won three FCS titles at NDSU, the colossus of the sub-division that gave us Carson Wentz. Forget Carson Wentz. Stick is nothing like him as a prospect. Stick is a fabulous athlete — slower by a tic than Taysom Hill with less explosion, but with superior agility — who is a weapon in the open field. This part of his game doesn’t get discussed enough, I think, because evaluators who dismiss him because of the height/arm strength thing or the Shrine week don’t get far enough along in their thought process to bake it in to what it could mean in the NFL. Also, because Stick is #white. But good golly is he dangerous. Difficult to wrap up in the backfield, difficult to corral when he gets moving downfield, and, heck, difficult to catch from behind. You can’t dismiss Stick’s deep-sector touch as a context-based fluke, because Stick’s skillset itself is in part informing that context: On RPOs, for instance Black Rodney McLeod Jerseys , linebackers and safeties need to be extremely cognizant of the fact that Stick could tuck and rip off a 25-yard run in three seconds.Update: Chiefs sign Carlos Hyde to one-year deal worth $2.8 million - Arrowhead PrdeThe Chiefs currently have only two running backs—Damien Williams and Darrel Williams on their roster, with Spencer Ware set to potentially make more money than many of us probably expected on the open market. Hyde is a veteran who has been both a starter and backup before, and he has two 900-plus-yards seasons under his belt (2016 and 2017).Antonio Brown traded to the Raiders. This time it’s for real - SB NationAntonio Brown is joining the Oakland Raiders after a bitter divorce with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Brown demanded a trade, the Steelers obliged with a deal with Oakland, according to Pro Football Talk. Pittsburgh will receive third- and fifth-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The deal comes about 48 hours after a report late Thursday night that Brown was about to be traded to the Buffalo Bills. The receiver reportedly nixed that deal, and by Friday morning the Bills released a statement saying they “moved on.”...Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone insists he was following the strategy chart, calling for a 2-point conversion after a fourth-down touchdown run in the final seconds of a lopsided game.Yeah, right.Marrone's message to the New York Jets — the team that snubbed him for its head coaching job in January 2015 — was loud and clear Sunday."He doesn't like those guys," Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson said following the 31-12 victory . "I don't know what they did to him, but he doesn't like them."Marrone said he had no hidden agenda or extra motivation, which was hard to believe considering he took a subtle shot at Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson in late August. What Marrone did to the Jets (1-3) seemed somewhat similar."I think it's really disrespectful," Jets defensive lineman Leonard Williams said. "The game's already over. They already have the game in the bag. All they could have done is run the clock out at that point. At the same time Rodney McLeod Jerseys 2019 , I think it's up to us to gain that respect from other teams."If teams are disrespecting us, it must say something about us. I took it really personal. And I didn't like it at all."The Jaguars (3-1) led 25-12 with about 30 seconds remaining when Marrone called for the offense to stay on the field for a fourth-and-1 play at the goal line. Jacksonville could have taken a knee or kicked a field goal.Instead, T.J. Yeldon got the ball and scored .Up 19 points, Marrone then opted for a 2-point conversion try."We had a lot of guys banged up for the PAT/field goal, and on the chart it just said 19, you know what I'm saying?" Marrone said. "On the chart, it says go for two. I'm one of those guys I never try to take anything for granted in an NFL game. Try to keep working those mechanics and doing it, so just went for two."Sure you weren't sending a message, coach?"We're not good enough to send a message right now," Marrone said. The Jets said all the right things afterward."That's just what they felt they wanted to do," linebacker Jordan Jenkins said. "Whether it's a statement or not, we'll never know. But we won't forget."The Jaguars outgained the Jets 503-178, the second time in quarterback Blake Bortles' five-year career they topped 500 yards. The defense finished with three sacks and nearly had three interceptions against rookie Sam Darnold. The unit also allowed a combined 26 yards rushing to New York's 1-2 punch of Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell. It was a dominant performance all around. It wasn't good enough for Marrone apparently."I just work here Black Jason Peters Jerseys ," Bortles said when asked if he was surprised to see the Jags go for two. Some believed Marrone was getting payback for safety Jamal Adams slamming receiver Dede Westbrook to the ground late in the game. Adams was flagged for unnecessary roughness."It kind of upset me because, at the end of the day, the whistle blew," Westbrook said. "That's not cool. I've got a family to feed just as well as you do. And anything that's done after the whistle, it's unnecessary. Of course I wasn't happy with that."But others thought it was all about Marrone's harsh feelings toward the Jets, who interviewed him to replace Rex Ryan and then decided to hire Todd Bowles. Marrone had reportedly left his head coaching job with Buffalo to join the Jets.Marrone landed in Jacksonville as the team's offensive coordinator, spent two years in that role and then got the head coaching job to replace Gus Bradley.Marrone improved to 15-8 with Jacksonville.Bowles fell to 21-31 with the Jets, who might now have something to carry with them into their next game against Jacksonville."It's football," Jenkins said. "When you're up, you can do what you want with the ball."

STARTQB Jared Goff, RamsGoff has so many weapons at his disposal that I’m not really worried about the Vikings defense, which has only allowed one TD pass per game. The offense has scored over 30 points in each game. He may not get the 350 Plus yards like he did last two weeks, but he is a shoe in for 250. Projection: 262 yards and 2 touchdownsQB Kirk Cousins, Vikings Yes Josh Allen Jersey 2019 , the Rams Defense is good, but that doesn’t scare me into benching Cousins. Over the last two weeks he has averaged throwing the ball 51 times. I believe he may need that type of volume to keep up with the Rams. With Talib and Peters out, I believe his receivers will get open for him. I expect a bitof redemption for Cousins in a game that could very well be a shootout. Projection: 275 yards, with 3 touchdowns and 1 interceptionRB Todd Gurley, RamsLook, you are starting Todd Gurley no matter what. He could be facing the a herd of speed walking zombies and I’m still starting him, but it won’t be an easy matchup. The Vikings are without Griffin, but the defense hasn’t allowed a running back to go over 60 yards this season. He is the offense, so I believe he beats that but it will be a tough. He may not be RB 1 this week but should be in top 3 for sure. Projection: 22 carries 82 yards and a score, with 4 receptions for 45 yards WR Cooper Kupp, RamsKupp has been a consistent red zone threat for Goff scoring 2 touchdowns this season. He hasn’t had a game lower then 12 fantasy points PPR and I believe he will continue with that. The Vikings defense are tough but are susceptible to the slot receivers.Projection: 5 receptions for 69 yards and 1 touchdownWR Robert Woods, RamsWoods broke out last week getting a stat line of 10-104-2. He may not have that stat line this weeks as the Vikings are a bigger mountain to climb. He has been getting 9 targets in each game so far and I think that continues. He costs 5400 dollars in Draft Kings Mens Josh Allen Jersey , and I believe he is the worth the price of admission. Projection: 6 receptions for 68 yards and 1 touchdownWR Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, VikingsThe Rams defense will stop the run but I believe the passing defense will be in trouble. Their top two corners, Aquib Talib and Marcus Peters we out, so I believe both of them will have good games. Cousins is going to have to throw the ball to win this game as they may be playing catch up. Start both of them. Projection: Thielen 9 receptions for 86 yardsProjection: Diggs 6 receptions for 74 yards and 1 touchdownTE Kyle Rudolph, VikingsThe Rams have been very generous to the tight endposition allowing 260+ yards so far. I believe this is a product of having strong corners stopping the outside threat, thus forcing the quarterback to throw in the middle. However, with Peters and Talib being both out I don’t think his production will slip that much. He has been averaging around 7 targets in the last two weeks as Cousin’s looks for him.He is a red zone threat, and I believe he finds the end zone this week. Projection: 5 receptions for 52 yards and 1 touchdownRams DefenseEven with the top two corners being out, the defense is still really good. I expect them to give up some points but will make up for it with sacks and some turnovers Projection: 24 points allowed with 4 sack and 2 turnovers K Dan Bailey, VikingsI was wrong about him last week, but blame that on the game script. Vikings were down early and often thus limiting his chances to kick. I believe the Vikings will move the ball and the Rams will bend, not break Black Josh Allen Jersey , leaving him with some kicking opportunities. Projection: 2 for 2 for field goals with 3 extra pointsSIT RB Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray, VikingsCooks status is still up in the air as his hamstring is still injured. I expect him not to play as I believe the Vikings will save him for the season, and this is a shorter week. Thus even if he does play I don’t expect a good game; same for Murray too. The RamsDefense is only allowing 96 rushing yards this season and that front seven is really good. Vikes Offensive line got burned by Buffalo! What makes you think they can open running lines against Suh and Donald? I’ll sit both this week but however, in daily, I would take the risk on Murray as he is the bigger back that can push the line and is more prone to getting that goal line carry. Projection: Cook (if he plays) 15 carries for 62, with 4 receptions for 32 yardsProjection: Murray 13 carries for 43 yards, with 5 receptions for 35WR Brandin Cooks, Rams Really? Sit Cooks? Am I crazy? Maybe a little, but hear me out. Minnesota has yet to allow a receiver to go over 64 yards. As Cooks is prone to get a big play but he hasn’t don’t that yet. He has no touchdowns yet. He has been getting catches (7 in the last two games), but I see Xavier Rhodes shutting him down. Now watch, Cooks is going to explode! Projection: 4 receptions for 70 yardsTE Tyler Higbee, RamsHave to be straightforward with you guys Womens Brandon Linder Jersey , I had to actually look up who was the starting tight end was for the Rams. The Rams do not use the tight end as a receiver. They primarily use the tight end as an extra blocker for Todd Gurley. He only had two targets (4 on the year) last week for 35 yards, and the volume isn’t there to even constitute a start in any format. Simply enough stay away from Higbee as well as Gerald Everett, which is the second string tight end. Projection: 2-21Viking DefenseMe sitting the Vikings defense is simply the product of being scared of the Rams offense. The offense has been averaging over 30 points per game, and that stat scares the Goff out of me. Don’t give me wrong, the Vikings defense is really good, but I don’t think they can hold the Rams offense all night. They are going to give up points! Projection: 27 points with 4 sacks and 2 turnovers K Sam Ficken, Rams The Rams sign Ficken to replace the injured Greg Zurlien and I’m sitting him. He missed his only field goal last week (he did make all of his PATS) and I don’t think there will be many field goal opportunities for him. Projection: 1 for 2 on field goals, with 3 extra points

Keep in mind that until the regular season schedule is official, these are all just rumors. Some are more concrete rumors than others, but still rumors. We’ll update this tracker as more games are leaked. The Bears took the unusual step of having kicker Cody Parkey practice at Soldier Field Akiem Hicks Jerseys 2019 , instead of at their practice facility. Then they took the unusual step of banning local television stations from airing the footage of that practice, when local news stations sent helicopters to film the practice in the publicly owned building.Taking so many unusual steps can be time-consuming, unless you have a police escort.According to Brad Biggs of the , the Bears specialists were able to get from their facility in Lake Forest to Soldier Field more quickly with the help of local law enforcement.NFL teams typically get an assist getting through traffic when their buses are moving from hotels or airports to games. But calling in the cops to breeze through traffic would be unusual for a much smaller contingent, making the 40-mile trip from their suburban facility to their stadium.鈥淚t is standard procedure for us to hire a private police escort for occasional team practices off-site, for example our annual Varsity Bears practice, or for team travel to and from the airport for away games,鈥?Bears spokesman Brandon Faber told the .State police didn’t comment on how often they were escorting the Bears, though they require teams to pay $110 per officer per hour White Danny Trevathan Jerseys , and $40 per vehicle for fuel and maintenance.鈥淭he main purpose of an escort is to provide safety and security for all those involved in the motorcade as well as for the motoring public,鈥?state police Sgt. Jacqueline Cepeda said. 鈥淧rofessional sports teams traveling in identifiable groups pose a target risk for criminal activity. Additionally, the movement of groups of multiple large vehicles (such as team buses and equipment trucks) pose a greater traffic hazard without proper traffic controls.鈥濃€淎ll officers working escort details are outside their regular scheduled shifts and are earning overtime.”The Bears clearly value Parkey, as they hung onto him after the early misses that led to the special treatment. Although it’s a bit odd that they’d need an escort for a traveling party that ought to be able to get where they’re going in one vehicle.

"Hamstrings are tricky. Some last longer. Some end up shorter. We will see how all of that unfolds."Cleveland's defense can't afford to lose Schobert, who tied for the league lead with 144 tackles last season and hasn't missed a defensive snap since the start of 2017. He's also the defense's "quarterback Melvin Ingram Jerseys 2019 ," calling the formations called in by coordinator Gregg Williams.Schobert was replaced by James Burgess Jr., who injured his hamstring in the fourth quarter and likely will sit out this week's game at Tampa Bay. Jackson said Christian Kirskey could slide over from outside linebacker to take Schobert's spot. Also, Browns wide receiver Rod Streater suffered a neck fracture while covering a punt Sunday and is done for the season. Streater got hurt in the first quarter in the latest blow for Cleveland's injury-depleted receiving unit.Streater was expected to get more playing time while Rashard Higgins (knee) and Derrick Willies (collarbone) recover from their injuries. The Browns said Streater is "doing well" and team doctors expect him to make a full recovery. Streater does not need surgery at this time.Willies had an operation Monday after he broke his collarbone during practice on Friday. The team remains hopeful Willies will return at some point in 2018.The injury situation could force the Browns to sign another wide receiver or make a trade. The team signed free agent Breshad Perriman on Saturday, but he did not have enough time to learn the offense and was inactive Sunday.

Nick Foles‘ ribs are fine after Sunday’s win in Chicago and that he will be starting in New Orleans against the Saints. As long as Foles remains healthy Black Shareef Miller Jerse , it’s hard to fathom anyone else playing quarterback for the Eagles this year and Nate Sudfeld is the No. 2 with Carson Wentz out due to a back injury. The Eagles have kept Wentz on the active roster despite his inability to play and Pederson explained why they haven’t made a roster move to bring in a healthier player.“Well, listen, I mean Cheap Shareef Miller Jersey , we keep winning,” Pederson said. “We keep putting ourselves in a position to be successful. You never know. You never know what next week might hold. So we just keep that — we’ve done it a lot this year. We kept Darren [Sproles] up all season. We’ve done it with other players this year. Sidney Jones is another one that we keep alive. We keep these guys coming and we’ll see where they are at in another week.”It would take a strange turn of events for Wentz to wind up back on the field before the Eagles are done playing this season, but the team is staying prepared for such a development. #LongLiveDaveGettleman"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Eagles StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Eagles NewsYahoo Eagles Team PageYahoo Eagles ReportYahoo Eagles Depth ChartYahoo Eagles TransactionsYahoo Eagles PhotosOdds About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕There’s buzz the Giants could draft Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pickNew http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malcolm-jenkins-jersey ,42comments#LongLiveDaveGettlemanEDTShareTweetShareShareThere’s buzz the Giants could draft Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pick“I can’t believe it either.”Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY SportsHere’s a rumor for you to chew on as we’re now only six days away from the 2019 NFL Draft. According to Charles Robinson, there is at least one team with Duke’s Daniel Jones as their No. 1 quarterback on their board. Which team? Robinson had this to say:Oh baby. He’s talking about the New York Giants! Indeed, Jones has often been connected to the Giants leading up this year’s draft. He’s an incredibly popular pick for New York at No. 17 overall. But if Jones is truly the Giants’ preferred heir to Eli Manning Womens Jalen Mills Jersey , wouldn’t they consider taking him at No. 6?It sure seems that way. Earlier this week, former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah put out a mock draft with the G-Men taking Jones with New York’s first of two first-round picks. Further, NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently had this to say about the Giants taking a quarterback at No. 6.Eagles fans should be rooting hard for Jones to eventually replace Manning in New York. But don’t just take it from me. At least one Giants writer from Big Blue View has already deemed drafting Jones as a “risk at best and a potential disaster.”This is beautiful.NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein calls Jones “more of a Day 2 draft pick than Day 1.” The Draft Network has Jones ranked as their fourth best quarterback and No. 97 overall prospect. But wait! It gets even better. It seems like part of the reason the Giants would be drafting Jones is so they don’t hurt Eli’s feelings too much.Gettleman has been a pretty bad general manager for the Giants to this point. He can further cement his “legacy” by installing Jones as New York’s franchise quarterback. He’s truly the gift that keeps on giving. The Eagles are 18-4 in their last 22 games against the Giants. For the first time in franchise history Brandon Graham Jersey , Philly actually has a chance to lead the all-time series between these two NFC East rivals if the Eagles can beat the Giants in Week 14 (and then again in Week 17) this season. Drafting Jones could potentially ensure even more Eagles dominance over the Giants over a long period of time. You just hate to see it!
