As long as every content in OSRS gold game is reasonably doable without any switches, I think it's fine. Game content shouldn't revolve around changing. Switching should only be an extra effort permitting runescape gamers to go beyond the typical limits, get more effective kills, quicker record occasions, etc. which attributes to the runescape player's merit.I think this is the right answer. It only makes sense that switches will let you go beyond and over what's normal, but a fixed set of equipment should be the baseline. Switchscape would be to pvm what clicking each swing is to mining, maybe. That amount of effort.
Short answer? It's awful for runescape (IMO). I like engaging in it though. If runescape had a steady stream of runescape players, I would argue it's nice for runescape. Personally, I really enjoy how participating EoC is (as the majority of us do), and I like the extra degree of switchscape that enables us to put more out DPS, but you can not utilize personal enjoyment to determine whether something is healthy or not.
The simple fact remains runescape gamers just don't like the new combat system and even returning runescape players are intimidated and turned away with the way convoluted combat gets at a high degree.
The excessive switch scape is at, and bad levels. It was ok when it was only hybriding with hybrid gear (like dks/kiln), but it's gone far too far. I think a few higher-end bosses should start giving rewards to decrease the demand for switches. Like a ring-binder that will allow you to combine multiple rings together; or actually usable and runescape 07 accounts augmentable hybrid equipment (like what elite void was supposed to combat before invention).
