Elder Scrolls Online Companions

The Elder Scrolls Online recently introduced companions to the game, allowing players to recruit them and travel throughout Tamriel with them. However, Companions are not available in all zones at this time.

Companions are more than just pets to tag along on adventures; they’re interactive NPCs with intriguing backstories. There are currently two companions you can recruit: Bastian Hallix and Mirri Elendis.

Companions are a great way to level up

If you’re looking for a way to level up in Elder Scrolls Online, Companions are a great option. They’ll stick by your side on quests, help you through dungeons and delves, and can be customized with a variety of skills and outfits to suit your style.

As they level up, Companions gain experience from Combat kills and unlock additional ability bar slots and new abilities. They’ll also become stronger, including an Ultimate ability that they can utilize by default when a condition is met.

When a companion is leveled, they’ll automatically receive a small percentage of the damage they deal during combat and their health and power increases automatically. They’ll also have access to several skill lines, based on their background and pre-slotted with combat abilities that can be changed at any time. You can only level up one companion at a time, but once you’ve unlocked them, they’ll follow you wherever you go in Tamriel. They’re not allowed in PvP situations, solo arenas, or housing instances, but they can tag along until you dismiss them.

They’re a great healer

Companions in the Elder Scrolls Online are a great way to keep your party alive during tough content. The Elder Scrolls Online companion system is a huge step forward for ESO as it brings many of the features from Bethesda’s single-player games to the MMO. The first two companions were introduced with 2021’s Blackwood, and the latest High Isle expansion has added two more companions for players to use.

Currently, players can unlock both Mirri Elendis and Bastian Hallix by completing their associated quests in Blackwood. However, the new companions in High Isle have to be unlocked through a separate quest line.

Mirri is a flexible healer, able to focus on both class and weapon abilities or work as a hybrid healing/DPS character. On the other hand, Bastian is a decent healer but has to rely largely on weapon skills and guild abilities to fulfill this role.

They’re a great companion for solo play

Companions are a fantastic addition to ESO and will prove an invaluable resource when you’re playing solo. Not only are they an excellent way to level up, but they also offer a wide variety of abilities.

Whether you’re a tanking, healing or damage dealing companion, they can provide you with a significant boost in combat and overall gameplay. They are especially useful in high level areas such as the Dragonborn Dungeon, Maelstrom Arena, Vateshram Hollows, and Imperial City Sewers where you might not have a lot of help from other players.

Companions in Elder Scrolls Online start out with just two skill slots unlocked at level 1. However, they can be leveled up over time to unlock additional slots and class abilities.

They’re a great companion for PvP

Companions are the newest addition to Elder Scrolls Online. They’re not meant to replace characters, but they can provide a boost in a variety of ways, helping players level up or complete new content that may be too difficult for them alone. The two companions available at launch are Bastian Hallix and Mirri Elendis. To unlock them, you’ll need to complete their introductory quests in Blackwood and High Isle respectively.

Mirri is a good Magic Mage who can deal damage from range with a combination of weapon and guild skills, while Bastian is an Imperial battlemage who fights primarily using a staff but can also use a sword-and-board. Both of them are decent PvP companions, but they’re not ideal for the role.
