Stick when catch and shoot or post disappear. Button from anywhere in close. Works for me but it took a bit of practice. Is not it harder to select your layup in case you use button? I have always struggled with these controls and used stick for layups. I swear I feel like I have wasted $149 (Aussie dollars). I would really like to be shooting at 40% but I'm blessed if I can hit 20%. I only play offline. I understand we've scrub players at this time, and MT 2K21 I am a below average player but seriously even layups that are in the middle of the meter aren't going in. I do not even dare to try out a jump shot. The AI appears to be absurd levels too. I know they wish to reward ability in 2k21 but this kind of material is going to truly put off casual gamers and people new the 2K franchise and new to basketball matches.

I've been playing since 2K13 but I've never been that good of a participant. I'd say I'm average, but I know I should not be missing all these 3s. My starter players have never played this bad at 2k16,17,18,19 and 20. The only other 2K I played 2K20 was 2K13 and that was on PC. I improved a hell of a lot in 2K20 to the point where I could go as high as Superstar without using STS. But this is a whole new level using a completely different mechanic. I did ok in the demonstration and in the quickgames with the new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn here.

Simply played with the demo, however, the stick was a great deal more reliable than button for me. I have been a button man also. I've got a 75 3 pointer, I believe I greened one shooter like 5 nba games. . Mostly wide open shots... and this was on allstar not even thinking to proceed in the rec centre. . Genuinely shooting 2/16 within an offline triple hazard game on just layups and 1 open jumpshot that airballed on slightly early. Spent $100 for this bullshit lmao. Man the shooting is extra fine right now but that I would recommend shot timing like look for the que on the animation.

Yep I am having difficulty with it as well. Launched a match on My team heading 0/12 overlooking open 3s and midsize shots all over the area. I am all for them toning shots being nearly automatic but the machine seems just a tiny bit too unforgiving up to Buy 2K21 MT now. Hopefully will begin to get better after a few more matches of getting used to it. The game just came out and we have ta new meter with slightly different time.
