I watched a meeting for one of the earlier call of responsibility annualized games (such as modern warfare 3 or so), and also the developers basically said that normal players (those individuals who play halo, killzone, battle , other shooters) do not buy call of duty games. Nearly all folks who play call of duty is only going to purchase Cod along with Mut 21 coins a sports match. And they'll do this religiously every year. I've discovered this subset known as Brogamers--sort of the antithesis to those that only play The Sims/Animal Crossing but in the long run it is a similar spending pattern. Totally agree with you and that interview from way back in the day (individual time is flying by). Bro Perhaps you have played a Madden game recently? They are fucking terrible! It's objectively a terribly made game.
The madden criticism which surfaced has nothing to do along with your remark. Its an increasing group of people that wish to play a fantastic football game, but Ea keeps selling them exactly the exact same game without updating the motor. This group needs the nfl to give out several cases of likeness rights or offer them exclusively to a different firm that would hopefully create a much better game. Not surprising.
That is why EA does not have to bother ever enhancing anything in most of their manners or fixing any bugs that have been there for several years. People will buy it regardless and whales will dump a lot of money into MUT. 2k has similar troubles and the microtransaction stuff is gross but at the very least which has great gameplay and top tier demonstration and they still add a bit more effort. Sports game simply have an entirely different demographics to games like Witcher 3 and CIV.
If anything this shows you why they published a broken item. The people who purchase do not read/care what the internet thinks. Disappointed in the sports community but frankly. . .where else can they go when this is their only option? The majority of the sports game fan do not read reviews before they buy. A lot of them literally only play that game for the entire year. It's the same for FIFA. Imagine if Fromsoftware created a half-baked Souls game. The fans would still purchase it because it's nevertheless a Souls game. Makes sense if you consider it like that. I mean, I played New Super Mario Bros 2. It is like three hours and nothing about it's distinctive from all the other New Super Mario Bros. games. Yet, I purchased it, and so did not millions of other players.
Maximum Football 2020 releases later this month. It frankly compares to late Xbox/early 360 graphically but it really has depth and customization unlike Madden. Honstely when your only real game in town it's not like anyone has a choice only I am just glad madden didn't need to stick around and watch his title butchered. Unfortunately Madden & FIFA are matches which are review-immune due to combination of licensing / casual market reach. I get the impression Avengers will also fall into this category. The NFL & FIFA respectively do not take enough flak with this. They have to see that their audience isn't happy but don't change to non-exclusive licensing anyway. Past year's I ceased enjoying per month in I had the cheap Madden nfl 21 coins EA ace left before yesterday I did not reup. I didnt enjoy 20 or 21.
