The range of rice polisher takes a more innovative approach. Patented screen design based on years of research, gives an excellent and efficient polishing performance, even at high capacity. While these innovations are a step change in rice polishing, measuring the reflective quality of the rice, often referred to as its silkiness, is still a challenge for rice millers. There is no current measuring unit, or equipment, for determining the level of polish achieved, meaning the degree to which the grain reflects light is based purely on an expert’s sight evaluation. This subjective method can be a source of dispute, which in turn can impact the selling price.
The performance tests conducted on the machine showed that the rice polisher effectiveness reduced with increase in number of paddy rice fed into it, while the sieve shaker optimum yield occurs at a maximum stroke of 40. It was discovered that a minimum output shaft speed of 900 rpm transmitted by a v-belt drove by an electric motor of 3.5 hp which is required for the effective performance of the vibrating sieve. Mild steel was used majorly for the fabrication of component parts for ease of machining, assembling, maintenance and affordability.
Owing to the steadily increasing demand for whiter, silkier rice, the polishing process is now considered to be a crucial stage in the milling process. Although it is widely accepted that brown rice has a much higher nutritional value than white rice, many consumers prefer the taste of the polished white alternative. Furthermore, it easier to digest, needs no pre-soaking, cooks quicker and uses less water. It should be noted that the cooking process might cause the rice to burst, making it look coarser, which consumers can find off-putting.
Parboiling is a pre-milling most-heat treatment given to raw paddy in order to improve its milling quality, nutritive value, cooking quality and storability. Equipments for parboiling and whitening have been installed in some modern rice mills. If parboiling operation is used then, there is an overall increase in total rice recovery of about 6 % over huller mills and 10–20 % reduced percentage of rice whitener. If different sets of machines are used then all the by-products viz.; husk, bran and broken are obtained in a useable form and this rice milling system may be energy intensive.
China-zjlg has a strong R&D team and independently design and develop all the equipment, welcome to leave a message.
