The Bears are swapping practice fields with a high school team in August.

According to Rick Kambic of the Chicago Tribune Le'Raven Clark Jersey , the Bears will practice at Vernon Hills High School on Aug. 22, and let the Cougars football team use their facility to practice earlier that same day.

鈥淜ids will be able to walk from their homes to Vernon Hills High School and watch the Bears practice,鈥?Brian McDonald, the athletic director at Vernon Hills said. 鈥淚 mean, it鈥檚 a cool opportunity that doesn鈥檛 come around very often and we鈥檙e excited to provide that opportunity to our community.鈥?/p>

The Bears have done similar practices in recent years, and even though it’s on a Wednesday, gives them a moment of a “Friday Night Lights” atmosphere, complete with fireworks after the practice.

Also, while hanging around the high school, the Bears may find a copy of last year’s offensive game plan laying around, so it’s a win-win.

In an unprecedented four-game sweep in Baltimore, the Seattle Mariners outscored the Orioles by a total of six runs and twice prevailed in extra innings.

Gordon’s speed and Cruz’s power have proven to be a potent combination for the Mariners. It was certainly too much for Baltimore.

Making his first major league start, Jimmy Yacabonis gave up two runs and six hits over four-plus innings for Baltimore. After Yacabonis allowed two straight singles to start the fifth, Jefry Ramirez took over and retired Segura and Mitch Haniger before striking out Cruz.

”I thought I did well,” Yacabonis said. ”There were a couple of times where I tried to make my pitches too good instead of just executing. That’s just going to come with fine tuning and experience.”

Recalled from Triple-A Norfolk before the game, Ramirez threw five innings of three-hit ball in his second big league game.
