2018 fantasy football: Join the official Pride of Detroit league The 2018 NFL regular season is less than two weeks away Detroit Lions T-Shirt , and that means it’s time to turn our attention to actual, real football games! I’ve been told now that the third preseason game has been played, we’re actually supposed to turn our attention to fantasy football, a made up thing that gives people the false sense of responsibility and achievement for lucking their way into a decent football roster. We here at Pride of Detroit have a tradition of holding a fantasy league every year, and while I never participate—because fantasy sports are the devils’ work—I have no problem feeding your addiction. I’m your pusher man. This year, Jerry Mallory will again serve as the commissioner for the league. It will be a 16-team league this yearThe time of the draft is Tuesday September 4 at 9 p.m. ET. So if you cannot participate in the draft or cannot set your auto-draft preferences by then, I would kindly ask you not to sign up for the draft.How to sign upThere are currently 13 open spaces in the league. Sure, there’s another preseason game next week, but the fourth contest typically only features players that won’t factor into many gameday decisions by Week 1.And for Lions fans, they’re going to need some sort of confidence heading into September. In the Lions’ first preseason game, Johnson was one of the main headliners, along with fellow back Ameer Abdullah. After having a somewhat quiet game against the Giants last week Customized Detroit Lions Jerseys , I think we’re going to see Johnson get some time with the first-team offense, and I think he could really shine.It’ll be interesting to see if the Lions use Johnson at all in the preseason finale considering his importance to the team in 2018, but also taking into consideration how much he may need the experience before opening day against the Jets. If the team has already decided to keep Johnson away from harm against the Browns in Week 4 of the preseason, this will be the rookie running back’s final opportunity to get in game shape for the regular season.
