I generally think spoiler tags are silly

I really don't think spoiler tags will need to be divisive. Right now it becomes a problem because there are no definite rules about Animal Crossing Items what is expected and acceptable in the sub.

If the rules were more clear (ie: spoiler tags necessary for events which haven't occurred in real time or spoiler tags required for posts that contain items which have been attained via hacking to bypass timelocking) perhaps users would not accept it as a personal attack on their play mode when people requested they use a spoiler tag.

Rather than feeling sensitive to a perceived conclusion about time traveling could just be a simple"hey that is contrary to the rules, see sidebar".

(Edit: it's fine to downvote that if you're an avid TTer and don't wish to indicate spoilers or something. Just trying to offer another perspective in this thread that's asking for feedback)

The things that make my Reddit feed and also top the listing on hot after the sticky have been varied on subject so I would not say there's an problem with common occurrences that community upvoting and downvoting doesn't already solve.

I generally think spoiler tags are silly, but you'd want to go farther than simply time travel if you really wanted to avoid spoiling things people have not seen yet. All from current season content will need a tag weather it is an old picture from your image library or even a new image from time traveling will reveal new gamers thing they haven't already seen. Plus things like the latest direct video clips will require tagging since it shows new content before anybody gets a chance to see it in-game.

I don't see any problem with memorials. I think remembering your loved ones is amazing and should not be judged just as something dark or scary.

I don't think spoiler tags for articles that has been in the game since launch is fair. Once the match is out its own out. Anything found in the game after that's fair for seeing. As far as New Horizons proceed, how can spoilers for content even work when there are two hemispheres and multiple time zones? When items and events become naturally available in a special timezone outside of the US, if individual be downvoted for what is rightfully available to them? Northern players such as spoiled things annually for southern hemisphere gamers and not a word was mentioned about cheap Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells it. Southern hemisphere gamers were admonished all summer because we naturally had snow. Yet few whined about all of the summer things that northern hemisphere gamers could flaunt. What's that fair?
