That does not mean we won't be getting fortnite items at any point, however. The map shifted a fair amount over the course of Season 4, and Epic seems to simply be doubling down that idea with Season 5. Day 1 has brought some fairly extensive modifications, and that I get the feeling the entire time rift thing is going to bring some of those mined Wild West resources into the game however.
My guess is that this will coincide with the Road Trip skin, which said Road Trip epidermis will be more Western-themed in some way. It helps, of course, that people like Westerns and normally speaking want to wear dusters. The specifics of this skin are still up in the air, but I'm hoping for a duster.
The Blockbuster Skin-- that turned out to be called"The Visitor--" was a small mystery. The name made it seem like it had been tied to the movie sub-theme of this season, but it turned out to become a kind of alien living within the Dusty Divot meteorite. I'd expect something similar with Road Trip, and we'll likely have some much better guesses as to its origins next week.
Two things occur when a new Fortnite patch comes out. To begin with: a whole lot of stuff. That's to saythe stuff that's in the patch notes and changes in the game daily. And then there is the things you don't see but downloads onto your computer anyway.
These are documents that Epic needs in the game for the next week or 2, even when they aren't apparent on the front right away. And that means skins: every skin that is coming into the item shop in the next two weeks is already on your computer, and it is up to the intrepid dataminers of the Fortnite world to uncover them.
