I believe Nexon's been making adequate progress on reducing the pay-to-win component of the game lately. You can earn 10 cubes a month by doing bosses/star world, crafting cubes is currently a thing, and bosses and ore veins drop a few now and Maple M Mesos.
Unfortunately, those only go up to now. Acquiring the 10 cubes would take a minimum of just like, eight times. And that is if you max out, which is dull. Personally, I earn like, 1.5k per day - ~1000 out of Star PlanetEarth, ~500 from bosses (Zak/CZak, HT/CHT, Normal Hilla, Regular Pink Bean, Gollux, Normal Ranmaru, Easy Magnus).
A Master Craftsman's Cube costs about 50m to craft in Galicia; Meister Cubes cost about 110m possibly? I'd be lucky if I even find ONE at a day doing daily bosses on two characters lol. I just have the Large Spider recognizable to help with drops, however. With a lot of +drop rate%, you'd be dropping cubes fo' days.
So unless you're super wealthy and may drop billions crafting cubes, or you've got a good deal of drop rate % to farm them out of managers, special offer on maplestory m mesos's gonna take a while to get decent potential lol.
Also, scrolling/enhancing has gotten a great deal less pay-to-win with the addition of Star Force enhancement. Normal equipment doesn't have any chance to boom until 12 stars in case you are improving with this new system, and it's a really low possibility. Additionally, if you flourish, you can keep the possible and scrolling of the boomed item to an identical one. Additionally, previously CS exclusive scrolls can be found in limited amounts from the rewards store, and even as drops in-game. MapleStory is gradually becoming less pay2win.
