Review=Other backgammon apps are widely believed to create roll scenarios based on profitability. This one provides truly random rolls. I have played online backgammon with this app for years and I find it reliable and fun. At all times, day or night, it hooks me up with a live player in less than thirty seconds. I have played people from all over the world which adds to the fun of this global and ancient game. Play against the AI (the computer) is fun too though it is not like playing a human. My only disappointment is that the game does not allow for a doubling cube. There are no matches, just single games. The developer says this is because most handheld online players only want to play one game but I have played on another app where 5-game opponents are readily available. Despite this, this is the best app out there. The other apps, including the one allowing matches, do not have truly random dice throws. You can have six doubles, one after another, or crazy inconsistencies with the other apps. It is believed that these other backgammon apps guide the rolls for increased profitability because they offer in-app purchases. This backgammon app is pure backgammon and is the IOS leader for good reason. Someday, someone will develop an honest app with match play and that will be the day I use another app; until then, this is my daily player

    Classic backgammon game

Why the fuck would you cheat at monopoly? Who seriously cares that much. Hey the 8 stuff worked!wow.

Er, how would he move in the video? Hes using both hands, so he isnt holding the camera. The way he commentated after he filmed it, bears a slight resemblance to the sham wow guy. Don't you think. This is how LOTB cheat us... It is true that is very difficult to implement a program that will analyze the status of the game in order to decide the best and worst rolls. Especially, because there are hundreds of thousand concurrently games, this is not possible. However, LOTB does not need this approach. Even, it was feasible to implement it, LOTB probably would avoid it. LOTB need to increase the odds of winning to certain categories of players when a so sophisticated approach would result in an almost 100% win to the favorite player of the system. Keep in mind that LOTB does analyze the board, but not so in depth. For example, if you do not have any legal move, the opponent plays immediately. If there is no legal move for any roll, then opponent rolls again, skipping your turn. If you have only one legal move, then system plays it automatically. So, even they will not analyze the whole game, it may possible to take small decisions. For example, if there is an unprotected piece, they will check what rolls hit it. An honest procedure is as follows. There are 36 different rolls. The system chooses a random number between 1 and 36. Each number correspond to a specific roll. For example, number 1 is 1,1, number 2 is 1,2, number 36 is 6,6. Notice that roll 1,2 is different than 2,1 even they have the same effect. At the beginning of the game, system rolls. If it gets a double, roll again. Then in a 50% 50% way choose who of the players will start. The lucky player starts the game with this roll. An approach like that does not check the players or board status. Only rolls the dices. Every simple roll has 1 to 36 probability to come or 2,77. I believe that LOTB does not use this approach. Probably they have a hidden variable for each player, let call it favor index. It can be from 0 to 100 (or 1000 does not matter) when 0 is the least favorite and 100 is the absolute favorite to win. Every new player starts with a high index, it may be 70 or 80) and drops over time. For this reason, the most of the new players win a lot of games in the beginning. If someone makes a payment then his favor index increases. So if someone makes a lot of purchases has a high favor index, when someone else who get the “free” chips only has a low favor index. Before the game starts, LOTB calculates the favor indexes of each opponent and decide if and who will give an advantage. For example, chances to roll any double is 1 to 6 or 16,66. The system will increase this chances to 1 to 4 for the favorite player and decrease to 1 to 8 for his opponent. Similar, in order to get double sixes you have 1 to 36, but system may increase to 1 to 25 for the favored player and drop it to 1 to 50 for his opponent. In the same fashion, system decrease chances of bad rolls (such as 1,2) for the favorite player and increase them for his opponent. Also instead of 50% 50% approach for the first roll, the favored player has almost 80% chance to start the game. Beginning the game does not guarantee a win, but gives a slight advantage. Even system does not analyze the whole game, it may give an advantage in case of an unprotected piece. It is not difficult to check what rolls needed to hit the piece and increase chances for the favored player and decrease for his opponent. A similar approach takes place in case of a piece is on the bar. The system calculates the rolls need to get in and gives an advantage to the favored player. I think that when a game starts, the system tries to pair a player with high favor index against a player with low favor index. So a new player wins a lot in the beginning and thinks that the game is fair. Then start to lose. If he pays for chips that start winning again for a limited period. Otherwise, he loses most of the games. A player who does not pay probably will quit the game, but LOTB does not care. Of course, sometimes the favored player will lose. This will happen if his opponent is so much better and plays his bad rolls well better than him. Also sometimes his opponent may be lucky and get some good rolls even with a lower chance. Finally, in some cases, the good roll is the low one and a big roll is disastrous. The system may not recognize such cases, then give the advantage to the opponent of the favored player. However, in long-term, the favored player will win more games than he deserves based on his skill. This is not difficult to be implemented. The programmer will introduce just one variable and implement a method for rolling the dice that will use it. No need to analyze the whole game and implement a sophisticated AI solution. Just alter the chances of each roll. I cannot prove that LOTB uses this or a similar method. However, LOTB may prove me wrong very easily. They have just to make visible the statistics of each player. So I may check my stats and the stats of my opponent. If my opponent gets three doubles in a row then I will check his stats. If in long-term get doubles nearly one to six times then he was lucky on that case. But if I see that he get doubles one to four times then I will be suspicious. Also if after a lot of games, my stats give me doubles in 1 to ten rolls then I will know that something suspicious happens. So LOTB this is the only way to clear your name. Reveal the statistics or each player. Do you dare to do it? Personal I doubt for it.

I think he holds it so that one side is the number he wants then when he rolls hes just like shaking em and not really rolling. when he throws it down turning it over to the side with his number making it bounce a little but not enough the make the dice tip over on another side. thats what i think hes doin.

Dude this is dubbed, he recorded himself rolling dice, then dubbed his voice over it after the fact. are you guys really this dumb. Wow. I'm going to win this game. The opponent played perfectly grabbing the 5-point and bar point. He got himself into a HUGE pickle. LOL. Inner board points and blocks ftw.
