Irena Sendler, often referred to as the female Schindler, risked her life during World War II to save 2500 Jewish children in the Warsaw Ghetto. Disguised as a nurse she entered the Ghetto to rescue the children. She recorded the names of each child and where they were placed. Irena worked with the underground resistance, known as the Zegota. She was arrested, interrogated, tortured, and sentenced to death by the Nazi's. This is her story
