Tears of our Ancestors: Healing from Historical Trauma
This half-hour informational film explores California history from a Native American point of view and reveals the truly traumatic effect that history has had, and continues to have, on the lives of Indigenous Peoples; Genre: History; Duration: 30 min. Collective, cumulative emotional wounding across generations resulting from cataclysmic events. Events target not just individuals, but a whole collective community. Trauma held personally, across generations. Even those who have not directly experienced the trauma can feel the effects generations later. Your work is so needed and healing. Thank you to all you offer. This is an awesome lecture, where can I get a copy of the power point. I have other question in regards to this lecture. As a student how do I go about making contact with Professor Gone.

Is the imposition of european developed therapy methods culturally competent, and more importantly, is it healing of soul wounds for indigenous people? It raises the question of what might help to heal soul wounds.
