SAP have announced the biggest change to their SAP Lumira and Analytics strategies. The change stimulated a variety of reactions like customer’s feedback and partner’s pleas. By announcing the official release of SAP BusinessObject updates, the company has ensured that this platform will be supported for the next 10 years minimum. This indicates that all the underlying products such as Crystal report (CR), Analysis for office, SAP Lumira Designer and Web Intelligence (WEBI) that run on the SAP BusinessObject platform, will derive this support till 2028.

App Design

The introduction of Application Design use case to SAP analytic cloud doesn’t simply mean that Lumira will not witness innovations such as Discovery or it will face similar problems as Discovery. There will always be customers who would stick to their existing on-premise system without moving to the cloud or those who would move to the cloud for better management.

It’s beneficial to bring successful application design onto the cloud in the long run for Lumira Design as it may require interoperability.
