The cadence of this OSRS gold day for attendees involved seeing distinct panels and demonstrations on the primary stage, hanging out and doing different game-centric challenges in the dream land setup, mingling with gamers and what looked like an army of Jagex personnel, and moving upstairs to a enormous room setup with countless PCs to try out all of the new items which were declared at RuneFest.
Most relevant to me was an extensive demo area with plenty of devices setup showing both the customers for OSRS and RS3. Obviously, these are not simply hanging out in the open, rather, to perform the mobile versions you had to make your way across a bridge, through a market of artisans making things such as plate and chainmail armor, along with a faux forest, passed some steaming lava pits, until you came to a snowy mountain which you could input. Indoors, there were flickering lanterns setting the Cheap Rs gold scene, and tavern tables.
So far as playing with the actual mobile customers are concerned, they work about as well as you expect if you've ever played with a game intended for a computer keyboard and mouse that's been adapted to cellular. The ports of the RS3 and OSRS are pretty extensive, and widgets, the distinct widgets, and other functions are represented by tiny buttons on the screen. Tapping on items is just like left clicking onto the PC, while holding and tapping brings up the context menu which you would get from a right click.
