They barely search like fish at all with their unusual form, foot-like fins and warty pores and skin. Cuttlefish and other cephalopods have up to 200 cells known as chromatophores for each square millimeter of pores and skin area, which they can use to adjust colour approximately right away, generating crimson, brown, yellow, black and a selection of metallic blues, greens, golds and silvers. Frogfishes do not just take in small prey, their mouths and stomachs can expand to accomodate a meal larger sized than the size of their individual human body. I was photographing a little something on the seabed at Anilao when I observed this cuttlefish considerably less than a meter away, producing like a rock by bringing its eight arms and two tentacles in shut to its entire body and getting on a darkish colour. Ironically, cuttlefish have superb eyesight apart from that they're shade blind, so they're not excellent at matching the precise shade of the track record, but they are nonetheless so superior at what they do that if positioned on a submerged chessboard, they think a pattern of squares on their own physique.
