She's a self-declared 'serial monogamist' who, after a handful of long-term relationships, is yet to find Mr Right.

But Kylie Minogue, 46, hasn't given up on romance.

Speaking to magazine, the pop star reveals that she would 'love to find love.'

'I really, really would,' she said. 'That takes a lot for me to say. At this point in my life, I feel like I actually want the whole thing.

'If the heavens are looking down on me, maybe - maybe, it will come my way.'

Kylie's most recent relationship, with Spanish model Andres Velencoso, lasted for five years from 2008 to 2013.

Before that, she was with French actor Olivier Martinez from 2002 to 2007. Then there were high-profile romances with model James Gooding, the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, and her Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan.

Her frank admission comes ahead of the star's arrival back on home turf for the Australian leg of her Kiss Me Once tour.

Kylie has enjoyed a few weeks off in Los Angeles recently... though off-duty for Minogue is hardly relaxing.

The Slow singer has attended numerous glittering Hollywood events, including pal Elton John's Oscars party, worked on several photoshoots, and filmed a cameo for US comedy series Young & Hungry.

Kylie says that visiting Los Angeles gives her a break from being under constant scrutiny from paparazzi and fans.

She revealed that for her LA was middle ground, where she could enjoy her fame but it wasn't intrusive.

Admitting she liked that level of appreciation, she also said she liked to be able to go the dry cleaners and do the things normal people could do.

However she added she realised that her life to most people was anything but normal, and didn't really know what that kind of life was like.

Kylie played a surprise gig at West Hollywood's Greystone Manor on Saturday, where she played hits including Love at First Sight, and her latest single Right Here Right Now.

She shared a risque picture on Instagram showing her taking a selfie with a friend and a scantily-clad male dancer, captioning it, 'Fun night!'
