The prostate gland.
The prostate gland.
We've all learned of it, but generally only in relation to it going wrong - and the embarrassment of working with your doctor stick his finger' up yer bum' to find out it. So what exactly is the prostate? What exactly does it do and how could you keep yours in good shape? Just before we get started, there are 2 small points that need clarifying:
1 There's only one' R' in prostate. (Prostrate is whenever you lie face down with your arms and thighs and legs spread!).
2 The prostate is a strictly' men-only' kinda gland. (Girls don't have one.)
Where is it and what will it do?
Where is it and what will it do?
About the measurements of conker (chestnut), the prostate lives kind of wrapped around the urethra, below the exit of the bladder, before the internal wall surface of the rectum. Imagine a drinking straw with a balloon on the end. So now picture threading a mini cupcake onto the straw and pushing it up as much as the balloon. The balloon is definitely the bladder, the straw will be the urethra as well as the mini cupcake will be the prostate gland!
Despite its proximity to and associations with the bladder, it's nothing to do with urine generation and is, in fact, accountable for producing something called prostatic substance that improves the sperms' ability to' swim'. So that explains why women don't have one then!
What could go wrong with it then?
What can go wrong with it then?'benign prostatic hyperplasia' (BPH).
'prostatitis'
'supplement prostate (mouse click the next site) cancer'
Just how can I lessen the risk of or prevent prostate issues?
