Qualifying disabled veterans are eligible for one free "DV" designated license plates for disabled veterans. The applicant should furnish proof of "a service-linked 100-percent incapacity score or that the car was acquired by VA financial assistance" according to the Florida VA. Moreover, Florida also gives a free license plate with a wheelchair emblem "for these veterans permanently confined to a wheelchair and who in any other case qualify for a DV plate."
